1. Save the North Vancouver Delbrook Pottery Studio 
Delbrook Pottery Studio has been operating in the North Shore for over 30years. Over this time it has provided the much needed space for North Vancouverites to create and express themselves using clay in a community focused and inexpensive way.
The studio offers drop-in and structured classes every day of the week, including studio memberships. Programs run for families, parent and child (3-5yrs), kids (6-12yrs), adults and seniors.
Within the next few years plans are underway to create a new Recreation Centre to consolidate William Griffin and Delbrook Rec Centers. At the moment there is great concern that the new building plans do not include space for a pottery studio.
When Delbrook Rec Centre is demolished, we will lose one of only two pottery studios run by the North Vancouver Rec Commission. Parkgate studio will be unable to accommodate the resulting volume and demand once this occurs.
At a time when the Government has recognized that Art is as important as fitness to the community by implementing a tax credit for children’s art programs, should we not in North Vancouver also recognize this, and preserve and expand already run clay programs for generations to come?
2. No to freedom for the Yorkshire Ripper
Peter William Sutcliffe (born 2 June 1946) is an English serial killer who was dubbed The Yorkshire Ripper. Sutcliffe was convicted in 1981 of murdering 13 women and attacking several others. He is currently serving life imprisonment in Broadmoor Hospital. Sutcliffe began using the name Peter William Coonan at some point after his conviction.
The High Court lifted a cloak of anonymity thrown over Yorkshire Ripper Peter Sutcliffe. Yorkshire Ripper Peter Sutcliffe lost his cloak of anonymity as a legal battle began over whether he should ever be freed. A High Court judge set up a hearing to decide the minimum term he must remain in custody before parole can be considered.
NO, This man must never be free... for his victims' family and friends ...this man is a danger.
3. Recognition of Cunningham Chief
A Scottish Clan without a chief is like a fish without water. For 200 years Clan Cunningham has been without a chief to lead us since the death of the last chief in 1796.
Fortunately the last four chiefs were unified in their designation of a female line as heirs should their male-heir line fail, and we have found the eldest descendant of that line.
Therefore it it time to have him recognized by the Crown through Lord Lyon and take the leadership in Clan Cunningham.
4. Bring The Academy Is... To Tasmania!
The Academy Is... are an amazing band made up of five members. They originate from Chicago, Illinois, U.S.A and are primarily known as a live band around fans. Their show are filled with emotion and energy, and the odd prank sometimes too!
5. help William Regal's push for main events to be reistated
As he is the the current king of the ring champion, We feel that that Regal should be headlining main events.
We find the treatment Regal has been receiving since his return from suspension to be unfair.

7. Petition to change the Olympic 2012 Logo from a "disfigured swastika" to a creative masterpiece by W
After years of trying Great Britain managed to land a worldwide sporting event with the potential to leave a lasting legacy on the entire world. The once gleaming face of Seb Coe has since turned to a deep mauve colour after revealing a shambolic excuse of an Olympic symbol, paid for by you, the taxpayer.
The logo of the 2012 Olympics is surely supposed to be a symbol of creativity and originality, two essential ingredients of any Olympics. Instead, as it stands it is a vulgar concoction of obscenely coloured shapes with no real guise or meaning. Surely you don't want to spend two weeks watching what is meant to be the greatest cultural festival in sport with such a faceless logo polluting the image of our fine capital.
But don't worry, it doesn't have to be two weeks of cringing behing the sofa and wincing during every advertising break, if the logo is changed.
This logo is the brainchild of William Woodhead, a schoolboy who has come up with a logo capable of challenging advertising gurus paid a reported half a million pounds, more importantly he is capable of bringing back a sense of much needed Olympic flavour to London.
Unknown to the disgruntled public, Seb Coe himself is currently considering the logo of William Woodhead and has asked him to prove the popularity of his design. With your help we can make this creative masterpiece the icon of a great Olympic games, and usurp the current dour logo.

8. Get an adequate, indoor skate/bike park in Prince William County
July 21, 2006
The last indoor park in our area; Vans Skatepark. Although corporate, and very annoying at times still brought everyone together to ride, hang out, exercise and have fun.
Since its removal many of the riders and skaters have gone their own ways into other things, some illegal and have quit this wonderful hobby they used to have.
If we had a new park some of those kids can come back to it, and new ones can join in.
9. Noise reduction from William Ball lorry park, factory and AA depot
July 6, 2006
Due to the Leylandi trees being cut down or the density trimmed back too much, this has now created alot of noise from different vehicles which frequent the lorry park.
The factory warehouse also loading and unloading has its own noise levels. The addition of an AA depot last year without any prior consultation to the surrounding neighbourhood brings noise 24/7.
The noise problem will get worse if the trees that are dead are cut down futher.
10. Accession of Prince William and Justice for Diana, Princess of Wales
The purpose of this petition is fourfold:
1) The official restoration of the title HRH - Her Royal Highness - to Diana, Princess of Wales as she is the mother of the future King of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, HRH, The Prince William of Wales.
2) HRH, The Prince Charles of Wales to stand down in favour of HRH, The Prince William of Wales, to be HM, Queen Elizabeth II's direct heir, therefore HRH, The Prince William of Wales will accede to the throne of Great Britain and Northern Ireland upon the death of HM, Queen Elizabeth II.
We, the British people and the people of the Commonwealth, do not need nor want HRH, The Prince Charles of Wales as King nor Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall as Princess Consort, Queen, or Queen Consort. Charles and Camilla's behaviour of the past 35 years is not befitting of the King and Queen (Consort) of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
3) A proper and fitting memorial tribute of a fountain, garden, and statue of Diana, Princess of Wales:
a) as she is the mother of our future King, HRH, The Prince William of Wales;
b) as she is still much loved and missed and always will be her supporters.
4) a) A complete independent and impartial post-mortem of the remains of Diana, Princess of Wales;
b) A complete independent and impartial investigation and inquest of the suspicious circumstances surrounding the death of Diana, Princess of Wales - both of these by UK and non-UK investigators and (medical) scientists - completely unconnected with the government of the UK or any other country or big business.
11. Early Release of William Dale White
William Dale White was wrongfully sentenced to 2 years in the Federal Corrections Institution. He has less than 6 months to finish out his sentence. This petition is to ask for early release.
12. Reconsider Joel J. Cacace Seniors sentence to a SuperMax Prison in Florence, Colorado
In December of 2001, while pleading guilty to a racketeering, loansharking and money laundering indictment that accused him of being "the acting boss of the Columbo Crime Family," Little Allie essentially admitted he was a high-ranking member of the Mafia. While, as per Salvatore Maranzano's 1931 Mafia Commission edict, Little Allie's plea violated Mafia rules, it is unlikely that he will suffer any serious consequences.
On December 8, 2004, Joel "Joe Waverly" Cacace, 63, the Colombo Crime Family acting boss, drew a 20-year sentence for the murder of 79-year-old George Aronwald, an administrative law judge who ruled on city parking tickets.
The feds contended that in 1987, Cacace delivered the order from The Snake, the jailed Colombo boss, to kill William Aronwald because he had prosecuted mobsters in a "disrespectful" manner. Cacace scrawled "Aronwald" on a scrap of paper and gave it to the hit team. However, the hapless killers targeted the wrong "Aronwald."
The feds indicted Little Allie Boy and John "Jackie" DeRoss, the Columbo Crime Family underboss, on October 14, 2004 for the May 26, 1999 murder of Columbo Family underboss William "Wild Bill" Cutolo, and for obstruction of justice related to the investigation of Cutolo's murder. On that day, William Cutolo had been picked up and driven to what he was told would be a top-level meeting of the Columbo Cosa Nostra Family. Wild Bill thought he was headed for a session with Little Allie Boy but at that moment, Persico---the man the feds say was the architect of Cutolo's murder---was in Garden City, L.I. discussing strategy for a then-pending case with his attorney. Cutolo's body has never been found. In November 2002, following a hearing in Surrogates Court, Cutolo was officially declared dead.
13. Straighten Lucasville Road
This petition is for the purpose of establishing the straightening of the dangerous "S curve" on Lucasville Road and constructing a proper left turn lane into Allegro Drive when travelling Northbound on Lucasville Road, as a priority transportation project in Prince William County, Virginia, and providing for its immediate funding.
The dangerous "S curve" is located adjacent to the intersection of Lucasville Road and Allegro Drive, at the entrance to the Mayfair subdivision. The petition has been slightly modified based upon new information that was discovered at the Prince William County Planning Commission hearing on October 20, 2004.

As the William Floyd Parkway has seen more and more conjestion and traffic, drivers have decided to take alternate routes to by-pass traffic lights. It has become an increasing problem with development in the surrounding area. For example; the new Head Start opening, the opening of Home Depot, and extra traffic lights have added to the already serious problem. Numorous accidents have happened in our residential neighborhood just off of William Floyd Parkway.
Our main fear is that our children are at risk of being the fatality that will bring attention to this issue of speeding vehicles on residential streets. So before that happens a solution must be found.

17. Protect Alaska's Bristol BAy
BRISTOL BAY: AMERICA'S MARINE CROWN JEWEL
Bristol Bay, nestled just north of Alaska's Aleutian Island chain, is described by the National Marine Fisheries Service as the "single most important region of the U.S. Outer Continental Shelf for the conservation of marine mammals and endangered species and the protection and management of fishery resources." It has been protected from offshore oil and gas drilling for the last fourteen years. Now, however, it has become a primary target for drilling. A key U.S. Senate committee recently proposed deleting the longstanding, bipartisan protections for Bristol Bay, despite White House support for extended protections.
ECONOMIC AND ECOLOGICAL SIGNIFICANCE
The living marine resources and global ecological significance of Bristol Bay far outweigh its projected oil and gas value. Bristol Bay:
- shelters the world's largest run of sockeye salmon, a key halibut nursery conservation area, and important herring and king crab fisheries, all of which are mainstays of the regional economy;
- provides the migration corridor for millions of adult salmon and the migration and feeding habitat for numerous seabirds and marine mammals;
- is virtually surrounded by a critical coastal habitat for marine mammals, including the world's premier walrus breeding areas;
- shelters one of the largest eelgrass beds on the planet, Izembek Lagoon, an underwater meadow crucial to the bay's fish, birds, and invertebrates.
This tremendous concentration of wildlife is threatened by routine drilling discharges and accidental spills from proposed offshore drilling operations and risky tankering of oil.
CONTINUE PROTECTIONS FOR BRISTOL BAY
Fortunately, the House of Representatives has voted to extend the moratorium protecting Bristol Bay for another year, so debate over the protections should continue this September, when a joint House-Senate conference committee is expected to take up the issue.
Bristol Bay won a reprieve from the dangers of offshore drilling once before, when 23 oil leases there were relinquished by the petroleum industry soon after the tragic Exxon-Valdez tanker spill devastated Alaska's Prince William Sound. The people and wildlife of Prince William Sound still have not recovered from the 1989 spill, and yet the oil industry now wants to risk an even bigger catastrophe in Bristol Bay, where seasonal broken sea ice, fierce storms, and rough ocean conditions would make oil spill cleanup impossible. The wildlife of Bristol Bay needs your help!!

William Jonathan Mayo has been incarcerated for almost (11) eleven years for a crime he did not commit. I know what you are thinking, "All prisoners claim they are innocent". I will admit to have said that myself. But the more I learned about Mr. Mayo's background, trial and sentence, I began to do something I would have never thought I would ever do, "Help a man in prison fight for his freedom".
On September 25, 2002, John Walsh (America's Most Wanted) aired a show called "When False Accusations Put You Behind Bars". This was aired on his new talk show called The John Walsh Show. William Mayo appeared on that show via satellite from a prison in Georgia. I listened to John Walsh as he raised questions about William's trial. There is strong evidence that the system didn't work and William received a bum deal Mr. Walsh stated. Mr. Walsh also couldn't understand Mr. Mayo's outrages sentence of two life sentences plus forty years for armed robbery even when there was no deaths or injuries in the crime and William Mayo had a clean criminal background.
This is how I became interested and concerned about a man I didn't even know. The two co-defendants have admitted guilt and took a plea bargain with the Prosecutor for a much lesser sentence of 20 years. Since the trial they have both come forward to testify twice in court that they lied about Mr. Mayo's involvement and have stated: "William Mayo had nothing to do with their crime", I believe without a doubt, HE IS INNOCENT!

20. Pope-Preddy Air Force Base Initiative
INTRODUCTION: The Air Force often names air bases and air fields after the first aviator to be killed at or near the airport in question.
Many air bases are named for famous aviators native to the area in which the air base is located. Some air bases have been renamed.
There are only two major Air Force installations in NC: Pope and Seymour Johnson.
PRECEDENTS: Pope AFB, NC was named for 1st Lt. Harley H. Pope, killed with his crewman, Sgt. W. W. Fleming, January 7, 1917 when his JN-4 crashed into the Cape Fear River near Fayetteville. Poor visibility and fuel exhaustion led to the fatal crash. Lt. Pope is from Bedford, Indiana.
Seymour Johnson AFB, NC is named for Navy Lt. Seymour A. Johnson, Goldsboro native, killed March 5, 1941 in an aircraft accident in Maryland.
Davis-Monthan AFB, Arizona is named for two local early aviators, 2nd Lt. Samuel H. Davis, killed Dec. 28, 1921 and 2nd Lt. Oscar Monthan, killed March 27, 1924.
Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio is named for aviation pioneers Orville and Wilbur Wright and for 1st Lt. Frank S. Patterson, killed June 19, 1918, in the crash of a DH-4. The Wright brothers are from Ohio.
Dyess AFB, Texas was renamed for Lt. Col. William E. Dyess, WWII fighter pilot who took part in the infamous Bataan death march. He escaped from a Japanese prison camp in April 1943 only to be killed in a P-38 crash in December 1943 at Burbank, CA.
Laughlin AFB, Texas is named for 1st Lt. Jack T. Laughlin, Texas native, B-17 pilot killed over Java on January 29,1942.
McConnell AFB, Kansas is named for three brothers from Wichita: 2nd Lt. Thomas L McConnell killed July 10, 1943 during an attack on Bouganville; Capt. Fred J. McConnell killed in a private plane crash October 25, 1945; and Lt. Col. Edwin M. McConnell who died September 1, 1997.
McGuire AFB, NJ is named for NJ native Major Thomas B. McGuire, Jr., P-38 pilot, second leading ace of WWII, Medal of Honor recipient, killed in action January 7, 1945 in the Philippines.
Nellis AFB, Nevada is named for Nevada native 1st Lt. William H. Nellis, WWII P-47 fighter pilot, killed December 27, 1944 in Europe.
Schriever AFB, Colorado was renamed in March 1998 for Gen. Bernard A. Schriever.
Vance AFB, Oklahoma is named for Oklahoma native Lt. Col. Leon R. Vance Jr., 1939 graduate of West Point, Medal of Honor recipient, killed July 26, 1944 when air-evac plane returning to the US went down in the Atlantic near Iceland.
