1. Stop Facebook's Poisonous Grasp on Society 
Do you want to help STOP further ways for convicted criminals and hackers to intrude into our families & social circles?
The effects that something like Facebook has on all our societies, throughout many countries and their cultures, is of great importance.
When we consider major issues in our legal systems, communities & countries as a whole, we obtain an already gray picture that seems to continuously fade into black. This blackness represents our values, standards and human rights as a whole.
Facebook (as nieve as we all sometimes are) is damaging our lives from something as small as persistent messages and advertisment, right the way through to the biggest issues such as data protection, child abuse, rape & MURDER!
I'm not sure is you have noticed but this "ever growing" culture that insights all kinds of marriage/relationship break-ups and even bullying in our schools, is slowly taking over our general way of life. The schemes that facebook presents are most evil as they come in forms of entertainment and communication, very subtly sucking in our children, wives, husbands, fathers, & mothers to spend increasing amounts of time "stuck" the screen, presenting ever more tempting opportunities for people to indulge themselves in fantasies (good/bad) which have huge side affects. Boundaries according to cultural and sociological criteria shouldn't be broken by way of deliberately enticing people to do so just to line their own pockets.
I feel these affects need to be addressed and considered when deciding the functionality of something thats so easy to cease but can obtain uncontrollable amounts of power......I'm not 100% religiously inclined in any direction but I know...
If there is a Devil, Facebook would definitely be a useful tool for the destruction of society as we know it.
The level and surface condition of the tarmac surface of Chiltern Road Ballinger has been in decline since gas pipes were layed beneath it in 1990.
After the pipes were layed, the company contracted by Chiltern Council to complete the work, did not adequately make good the subsurface before the pipe trench was recovered with tarmac.
The council took no action to ensure that the company made good their bad work.
Within two years the retarmaced section started to subside forming a trench section along the northern side of the road.
In addition to the trench damage the road developed a significant number of sections that deteriorated due to usage and weathering.
Over the following 15 years the council patched up and repatched various sections of the road.
The road's surface is uneven, pitted and a patch work of different coloured tarmac repairs.
It is unsightly and dangerous for cyclists, particularly for those traveling along it from east to west. This included a number of very young children who used this quiet cul de sac to learn to cycle.
In 2005 Mr. Benwell of Oakhurst and Mr. Clark of Coppice, Chiltern Road, wrote to the council asking them to repair the road and make good the whole surface.
The council admitted that the poor surface of the road was in part due to the inadequate work following the laying of the gas pipes. They refused to repair the road's surface because they had insufficient funds while other road had greater priority.
3. Swimming Sports at Highvale Secondary College
As you are all aware, OUR SWIMMING SPORTS GOT CANCELLED FOR PEOPLE WHO AREN'T COMPETING!!!
So, this petition is to get Mr.Watkins to make this event a WHOLE SCHOOL event.
This has been a whole school event the whole time i've been here and this change is too much, It's crossed the line.
Last year we had roughly the same amount of competitors, yet it was a whole school even still...
We MUST get this event back.

4. Team Spirit for our Cheerleaders
The sport of Cheerleading is being harmed by the actions of some team parents. The youth are being influenced by the words and actions they are seeing being played out right before their eyes.
If a team mom and a cheerleaders mom have a difference of opinion it should be handled in a private and direct fashion. The public is watching and the influence it has on them will fashion the opinion they have of the whole sport. The public already thinks that cheerleaders are stuck up snobs who do not care about anything but themselves.
The future of the whole sport hinges on the ability to encourge a feeling of togetherness and team spirt needed to trust the abilities of each other. When a team is in sync the whole flow is beautiful. If the kids are lead to believe they are not as good as someone else they tend to not be able to trust and the pyramid of the team is broken. People are pushed out and the old stuck up cheerleaders mith is perpetuated.
We need to be able to get along and deal with the team of cheerleaders as a whole and one body. Not as a bunch of people who do not care about each other. If the team is to be the best we all need to do the right thing and put petty differences aside and deal one on one with the parents, in a repectful and professional maner. When parent form clicks and oust other parents and newcomers the children do the same.
We need a team of parents to teach these kids not a team mom. The team as a whole should not be governed by a single mom, it should be looked over by many caring mothers, and fathers. The team should be developed into a single body, with a confident flow. The actions of one disrespectful mother are having a negitive influence on members of the board, the parent club, the squad and the public at large.
We need to as a group let her know this will not be allowed. We want our children to be in a loving, positive and caring atmosphere. Can't we all just get along. Please join us in asking the team mom/boardmember to step down and let a more caring loving and dignified person take the responcibility of our childrens welfare.
We need someone who will take the time to address the kids with respect, no matter where they come from. Someone who will lead by example. Someone who will take the time to set up fundraisers that will have an atainable outcome. Someone who will not give attitude to others who are not as well to do as she is making herself out to be. When a child and parent can not afford to just "cut a check" for the money costs it takes to be in this sport. They should not be made to feel inferior. We are not all made out of money.
5. Bring the Football Team Back to CSULB!

We need at least 5,000 signatures before I will submit the petition to President F. King Alexander, which I believe is absolutely possible, as there are 35,000 students on our campus.

Simply put, having a football team will not only bring unity to our school, but will also bring in money for our campus, as well as putting our campus on the map.
Reasons why there should be a football team:
1. We are sick of having to cheer for another school.
2. We are sick of seeing people wearing other schools' jerseys/shirts on our campus.
3. Our school has 35,000 students, which makes it a large campus, yet it doesn't have a football team?
4. Bringing football back will benefit the whole school, not just the football players, as people previously have thought. For instance, having a football team will bring back the marching band, and the money earned will benefit the WHOLE school. We'll be able to afford to improve our campus, which will boost our students' morale.

7. Preserve the Farmland at 50Hwy & Ranson Rd

This piece of land, 39 acres, has traditionally and is currently used as farmland. The current owner is not the farmer, and the land is now zoned for commercial development.
This whole area is being paved over at an alarming rate. I am trying to educate the city council about the greenprinting as a concept, but this piece of land is part of the whole vision.
8. Against Overprotective Parenting
To all the parents who are overprotective and don't understand what problems we deal with and what we wanna do. We want to have fun and have a little freedom.
This is to all the parents in the whole world who don't allow their kids to do anything. I don't care if it's just one little overprotective thing, I want anyone who has a overprotective parent story to sign this and please tell the whole world if you want.
Parents need to ease off a little more. How are we going to grow up?? Why don't they trust us? Why do they think we are doing everything wrong? And why does the other sibling or friend get to do whatever they want... and get everything they want? Any of these stories could be you.
Tell it. Tell it to the world, and let these people know.
9. Overturn Scott Petersons Death Sentence
Dec. 24th 2002 Lacy Peterson disappeared and her husband Scott Peterson seemed to become the main focus of MPD investigation. Scott became a suspect in her disappearance and as other leads were out there to be followed the MPD ignored them and hammered Scott Peterson for days harrassing him and eventually after his wife and unborn son washed up from the bay, they arrested Scott because he was fishing the same day she disappeared.
This whole investigation has been a farce and unfair, the Detective in this case lied and deleted information out of his reports that could have cleared Scotts name, also several people who saw Lacy the morning of the 24th who came forward were ignored and or were not able to testify because the MPD didnt follow procedure and made their testimony unaddmissable in court.
Also after arresting him he went to trial and thru the duration of this trial, the judge had removed 3 jurors from the panel and when Defense asked for a mistrial it was denied, and when a juror was found exchanging information with a bartender,nothing was done to re-hear this case and or cause a mistrial.
This whole trial has been media based and was never fair to the defendant. All evidence was circumstantial and this man recieved the death penalty.this is injustice and we will work until his verdict is overturned or all charges dismissed for lack of evidence and lack of integrity on the MPD.

13. Crimes Against Children are Crimes Against Humanity
On Tuesday 11 September 2001 a solemn appeal to universally declare crimes against children as crimes against humanity was adressed from Paris, France to the United Nations General Assembly and World Leaders in New York as a special session on children was scheduled to take place the following week. The first world leaders or organizations to answer the call were Mr Jacques Chirac, President of the French Republic, the UNESCO and the President of the European Parliament. Since then an international campaign in French and English has been following up on the Internet as new initiatives were launched to protect and promote Child Rights and fight crimes against children in the whole world. On 10th December 2002, Celebration Day for the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the international campaign "Crimes Against Children are Crimes Against Humanity" shall merge with SOS-JUSTICE & CHILD RIGHTS initiative, JUSTICE FOR THE FUGITIVE MOTHERS IN EUROPE campaign, and GIFT A CHILD YOUR HEART project in order to give birth to the Rajani Foundation For Child Rights. Further on, the petition "Crimes Against Children Are Crimes Against Humanity" shall be held by the Rajani Foundation For Child Rights, a private initiative based in Paris, France.
14. Help restore "Ren and Stimpy"!
The "Ren and Stimpy" show is an older cartoon show that is targeted at older teens. It began in the early nineties on the channel Nickelodeon. It has been aired on Nick, MTV, and now VH1. VH1 has seen fit to cut whole segments out of the show to make more time for commercials, and put pop-up banners on the screen almost constantly.
