1. United Against the Cuts - West Dunbartonshire Trade Unions and The Community 
We are aware that West Dunbartonshire Council are making significant cuts to services over the next three years.
These cuts come from the Scottish Parliament and will directly affect the most vulnerable in society.
West Dunbartonshire Youth Trust was funded through the Better Neighbourhood Services Fund to provide young people, aged 12 - 25 years, from the West Dunbartonshire area with the opportunity to make decisions about a Grants Programme for services for young people.
The Grants Programme requires young people to be involved in the decision making of the services and the Youth Trust itself is managed by young people. The aim therefore of the Youth Trust is to support young people to be active citizens in their area, and to encourage services to recognise the importance of including young people in the decisions about their services.
The young people involved in the Youth Trust have been supported to complete qualifications and have received awards and have shown great commitment over the past 3 years.
