61. We all want some figgy pudding! 
This has been an annus horribilis for the UK's Members of Parliament and public alike. We the undersigned would like to restore a degree of dignity and respect to the House of Commons by asking the Prime Minister and every MP to donate one figgy pudding or the monetary equivalent thereof to a homeless charity of their choice this Christmas.
This is in the spirit of the famous secular sixteenth-century carol "We Wish You a Merry Christmas".
62. Let SOUTHAMPTON bid to host the 2018 World Cup
In two weeks time the FA will decide on which cities it will put forward with its bid to host the World Cup in 2018. The South is not represented! After Pompey pulled out it is left to SOUTHAMPTON to represent the South (Milton Keynes is hardly the south) as a host city for England's 2018 World Cup bid.
We weren't on the original list due to Southampton FC's financial woes in the summer but now we're set to step up and be counted.
The FA simply has to allow the city to bid. We have the facilities, both in footballing terms and the ability to welcome the world's football fans to our great city.
Every year men are killed in action for no reason. And worse still is that the government once upon a time stated that they would pull our troops out and yet we are sending more in. Why? When there are men being killed and severely wounded.
This year already 94 men have died and for no reason other that the fact that they are there and driving around in unsafe trucks and don't have the proper protection. Just pull them out like the government said they would and stop the death.

64. Volunteers to become National Wildlife Crime Officers
The NWCU (National Wildlife Crime Unit) since operation 3 years ago have reduced their staff from 14 to 9 due to funding and have made only 51 convictions in 2008-2009 which is only 3.3% of the cases they dealt with.
Wildlife crime is on the increase but with only 9 members of staff for the whole of the UK we believe there is no commitment for the protection of our wildlife and its environment.
65. Keep this baby-murderer out of Canada
In 2008, Steven Barker, his brother Jason Owen and his partner, Tracy Connolly; were convicted of causing or allowing the death of a two year old boy, Peter Connolly. The details of their crime sickened the nation, causing outrage in parliament and widespread anger amongst the people of Britain.
Causing or allowing the death of a child is a relatively new offence in Britain, introduced to prevent child murderers simply avoiding responsibility for their crimes by blaming each other for laying the final blow. Naturally, Barker, Owen (who changed his name to try and disassociate himself from his brother) and Connolly all blamed each other, meaning that there was no realistic possibility of getting a murder conviction, so they were tried under the new law.
It sounds fairly passive, causing or allowing the death of a child, but their role in Peter's death was anything but. Barker moved in with Connolly, who failed to tell the authorities that he was living with her while Peter was on the child protection register, as she was required to do. Barker and Owen had a violent past, directing their sick fantasies at old and young alike, including torturing their own grandmother to make her change her will. Barker was also convicted of raping a two year old girl after being found guilty of causing or allowing the death of Peter.
From the day Barker and Owen came on the scene, Peter's days were numbered. By the time he died, after 17 months of torture, neglect and abuse, little baby Peter had 50 separate injuries on his body, caused by the animals he lived with.
Not surprisingly, the people of Britain despise these animals for their crimes, which has led to speculation that they will be granted new identities and anonymity on release, to protect them from vigilante attacks. It has been reported in the British press that Steven Barker, the child-raping baby murderer, has his hear set on starting a new life in Canada on his release.
We think that Barker should be barred from being able to settle in Canada or any other country for that matter. His crimes were committed in Britain, he is a British citizen, the Government of Canada has no legal or moral obligation to allow him to come here. Indeed, it would be grossly injurious to the reputation of Canada as a civilized and law-abiding society, and it would place at risk the most vulnerable people in our country, namely the very young and seniors upon whom Barker and his wretched accomplices visited their sick and violent fantasies.

Big Brother has been going for a strong 10 years, and most of its viewers enjoying watching it during the summer.
Channel 4 have decided that it may be dropped next year.. that would be shame!

This delivery system comes with at massive environmental cost. Not only with the printing and paper used but with the distribution to every home and business.
How many of use just pick them up and put them straight in the bin? or save them and never use them.
With Global Warming being such a huge problem its time to stop this system of waste. We need to create an 'op-in' delivery program. This is we the printed versions are only delivered upon request therefore eliminating pointless waste.

69. Stop LLoyds TSB discriminating in favour of Islamic Accounts
I recently raised the question of Sharia finance with our local local MP and his reply was that it was merely a contract and people could enter any contract they wish. Which is true with normal commercial contracts however if you accept Sharia Finance you also accept Sharia Law which is a religious law quite different from normal commercial law.
And considering the government is trying to make London the European centre of Sharia finance in Europe we could be sleep walking into Sharia law through the back door.
What I think is happening is an attempt at a long term culture change through Finance.
Leverage is a show on TNT in the USA. It has already been given a third season on it's original channel, but it hasn't yet been shipped to the UK.
71. It's time for a Vote of (No) Confidence in Gordon Brown
He was Chancellor of the Exchequer for ten years under the premiership of Tony Blair, since then he has been the unelected Prime Minister. There is absolutely no escaping the FACT that Gordon Brown is directly responsible for the financial mess Great Britain is in Today. Brown also supports the anti British European Union, illegal wars overseas and uncontrolled immigration.
He is responsible for bailing out fat cat bank bosses with hundreds of billions of or pounds, while turning a blind eye to their greed, while many British home owners are struggling with their mortgages in this new age of negative equity.
There is not enough room here for us to list all of the reasons why Gordon Brown should go now. This campaign group is asking you all to write to your MP's. Write to them and demand that they call for a confidence vote in the House of Commons against this unelected despot Gordon Brown.

If you want to stop 1 billion people from going hungry each day; If you want to stop the needless deaths taking place every 5 seconds due to starvation then a vegan lifestyle is the solution to solve these dier diet-driven situations resulting from the inefficient use of resources directed towards animal agriculture. Grain currently fed to livestock is enough to feed ２ billion people. According to a recent report by Compassion in World Farming, "[c]rops that could be used to feed the hungry are instead being used to fatten animals raised for food." It takes up to 16 pounds of grain to produce just 1 pound of edible animal flesh.
Let's show the UK government and the European Union that we are ready and willing to act, and support the Earth saving and humanitarian concept of Meat-free Mondays.

73. Relax laws regarding airsoft in the UK
Airsoft is a sport similar to paint ball in which participants shoot at each other with 6mm bb guns.
it is highly entertaining for people who participate. some people who partake are ex military people who like the action without the risk of injury, people who like the military but are unable to join and anyone else. i know a teacher who introduced me to the sport.
It is completely harmless when all safety rules are followed such a the wearing of masks or glasses. the only problems are that most of the fun is in realistic imitation firearms and unsavory types may obtain these, that is why an organisation known as ukara is there to help control the sale of such weapons to those who are not registered as airsoft skirmishers.
74. Getting Anime/Japanese Games in the USA and other countries
Ok I think it's very unfair that the Japanese video game companies make certain Anime games for them only and not sale them to the USA or any other countries. I know most Japanese companies don't think that Anime games will sale well in the USA or other countries but that's not the case, I for one would love to buy anime games if they were sold here.
My main point overall is that America and other countries should get these games too, It's not fair that only the Japanese get it. Also they don't have to change the Voices, it can still be in Japanese but put English subtitles in them.
75. A call to Her Majesty the Queen to dissolve parliament, producing an immediate general election
The government has no credibility, parliament itself is held in contempt, meanwhile the economic crisis is deepening and national morale and international standing is plummeting.
We need to close the door on the corruption and incompetence of this current government, and cleanse the Commons of corrupt, greedy, self-serving MPs.
Only a general election can do this, and only the Queen can force this on a PM who refuses to face reality.

We will be doing a more detailed press release over the next couple of days.
Thanks to everyone for your support. We will be continuing to fight for their right to stay in this country without the threat of further detention or deportation.
For now we can celebrate that the family will be re-united.

You will see from the message below that Ubaka and family are still here, despite their flight being booked for today.
However, their judicial review was refused. Thus the only reason they were not put on the plane was the resistance of the children.
This means that they are still in immediate danger. There will be an attempt to put them on another flight soon.
We need to keep fighting against this appalling situation.
A solicitor is being approached to continue acting on their behalf. We need to keep up the pressure for Ubaka and his family to be returned to Sheffield.
Please see the email following this one to know what they are going through at this moment in time.
A report out this week and comments by the Childrens Commissioner on conditions for children at Yarlswood painted a bleak picture. We must relate this to the traumas of Ubaka and his family.

I have been detained since the 20th April 2009 at Yarl's Wood; I humbly wish to state the following:
Right now, my daughter Stephanie has completely lost her mind and has self harmed. She has been psychologically tortured having not seen her mother for about 10days. She is in great fear and has not eaten any thing for in the past three days. She has become very unstable and has ripped things off the wall of the room she was detained in. Some security personnel are taking turns in watching her closely so that she does not do any form of self-harm every four hours. Please help!! She is the only daughter that I have got the torture or returning home and being locked up without reasons she cannot comprehend is slowly killing my daughter she is just 12 years old.
I was shot in my country by the Military police (Military Bullet still lodged in my lower abdomen as I write). In 2005 and I came to UK and I sought asylum with my family Although the evidence of all what I claimed have been looked at but I further wish to state that at the time of my tribunal my medical report evidence was not with me I was waiting for it through the post but it didn't come, I have to proceed with the tribunal at the court, the Judge did not have them at hand prior to making a final decision. It was later I got them at the Asylum Clinic. Therefore the judge has no evidence before him before taken the decision. After the initial decision by the immigration judge every other fresh claims evidence and reconsideration was dismissed by the immigration officer.
I have undergone severe torture back home that almost took my life the evidence on the gun shot wound (Bullet still lodged near my spine) as a result of my activity on human rights. I could not have shot my self very close to my spine because I want to seek asylum, this wouldn't have been the case. I am not a soldier or military personal have never handled gun, had no training about managing gun, or its wound, I complained that I am sleeping on one side of my body since the day I arrived UK after I was shot. But the doctor never did any thing about it as they said that I do not qualify for any form of surgery.
Since after the x-ray at Sheffield teaching hospital on my condition, I have not received any treatment rather than I was placed on paracetamol I requested for cocodamol tablets when the excruciating pain continued. The surgeon said "he will not guarantee that removal of the bullet would improve my symptoms of constant pain on the affected part". This has made me to lie on one side of the bed since 2005 till date. I have lived with this pain since I was shot, I arrived UK with the hope of getting it removed but all my efforts proved abortive, because as an asylum seeker I am not allowed access to primary health care because I need a status to do so.
My wife Elizabeth and daughter Stephanie have been victims of torture by the military the other part of the story (Rape) was not disclosed and have leaved with me for long time, the defilation of my wife have turn my heart apart because I am turned between our culture and western civilization, it is an object of ridicule if I would be aware that she was sexually harassed because my culture demands an immediate divorce to such malicious incident although this was not of her own making still there is suppose to be an atonement culturally to this. As I learnt of this rape while in UK , there is nothing I could do, most especially now that am about to be returned without her.
On my application for further reasons to remain in UK my solicitor made mention of the loss of my only surviving family member (Mother in law) she passed away in December 2008, this was not considered by the immigration officer in charge, as we have no other parents back home to go back to as my father died as well in 2006 while my mum died also in 2007 while I am on this course. My father in-law died a long time ago early eighties. My sister in-law whom we made mention to the Home office during our first initial interview is no where to be found we were told she is into prostitution now.
2 of my kids are now in secondary school, they both finished from primary here in UK and got offer to the secondary school (Sheffield Springs Academy) my son is a member of sharks basket ball he plays for junior shark under 14, and they both have already choosing a subjects in science to take them to further education.
The day I was arrested taken to Yarls wood my wife and my son weren't at home they are no where to be found, taken me and the other kids to Nigeria would not only put me to danger but also will expose the kids to violence especially after our stay in UK since 2005, for they witnessed most of the arrest, harassment and torture which we undergo in Nigeria before coming to UK to seek sanctuary, I sincerely can not cope without their mother being with them as they will live in fear and torment of the past experience all their lives especially now we have no family back home, I can vividly remember the poor boy Raphael always ask when ever he came back from school " Why don't I have Nana where is my own nana every one in my class has nana" It will be extremely difficult and terrifying taken me and these kids back to Africa because their live would be in danger, if I am sought after and found my children would be exposed to these targets .Again, without their mother going home with us they will end up not getting the motherly care and affection this would turn them to street kids and eventually develop into outlaws and Stephanie will be 13years with out her mother would end up a teenage pregnancy and turn to prostitution or may end up in the arms of human trafficking for prostitution which is currently a means of survival for teenagers in Nigeria.
At this point I am devastated, hopeless, disorientated the only thing on my mind is to drink up a poison and sleep never to wake up or commit suicide, Yarls wood is so protective of such device that I can't lay my hands on any. Please help me my life is still at risk, for if I am turned back to that devilish country where I was shot, I will kill myself.
Therefore at this juncture, I would plea with your office to use your powers to help me and my family..

77. Conjugal Visits For UK Prisoners
It should depend on the crime. Children should not be exposed to child molesters, animal abusers, rapists, etc. Children should have a right to visit parents in an environment that will not harm that child physically or emotionally.
By signing this petition, you are acknowledging that families and marriages are sacred and should be allowed to continue to grow and remain healthy despite incarceration. A healthy marriage requires emotional, as well as physical, intimacy. In addition, children need to have and develop a bond with an incarcerated parent.
As a nation, we must stand and protect our families despite court involvement. By supporting this petition, you are recognising and establishing the vital importance of the family bond and unit. We must realise that innocent family members should not be punished along with the incarcerated family member; families should be supported for the benefit of all involved.
The therapeutic value of conjugal visits will far outweigh any future criticism which evolves. Failure to allow these family visits can also result in some families or married couples not being able to have children due to their age. I strongly urge you to take into account healthy families and marriages when choosing to endorse this petition.
78. Investigation of human rights abuses in Ogaden
Ogaden; people without hope, who have been maimed by oppressed regimes of Ethiopia in last 2 centuries. Ogadenis who live in the horn of Africa were ceded to Ethiopia's haile salase by British colony in 1942-48. FROM THAT TIME they are denied their basic life.
79. Transport from Birmingham to Cardiff at 11:30pm on 17th November 2009
We would like to arrange some sort of transport from Birmingham to Cardiff for the people attending the Jonas Brothers concert on 17th November 2009.
Many people from Cardiff wish to attend this concert but are unable to find any available transport to return home to Cardiff. The people attending can easily get to Birmingham via a train but the last train leaves Birmingham at 10:12pm, the concert will not finish until 11pm and the Cardiff citizens are unable to get home.
We have looked at the prospect of staying overnight in a hotel or getting a taxi but the prices of this are extremely unafforadable. We do not wish to miss this concert as it is a once in a lifetime opportunity for these people to see their heroes perform live on stage. All we are asking is for a small type of transport to make the short return journey to Cardiff the same night at an affordable price.
We would really appreciate you considering organising a small trip. We would be extremely grateful and thankful to whom ever would be kind enough to organise this for the fans.

The Financial Services Authority (F.S.A.)is the independent watchdog that regulates all financial services.
How then, is the U.K. in one of the biggest financial downturns ever recorded (a recession, as it has now been officially declared), when the FSA is in place to supposedly stop this sort of thing happening ?
84. Recognise the Armenian Genocide!
The Armenian Genocide was the deliberate and systematic destruction of the Armenian population of the Ottoman Empire during and just after World War I. It was characterised by the use of massacres, and the use of deportations involving forced marches under conditions designed to lead to the death of the deportees, with the total number of Armenian deaths generally held to have been between one and 1 and 1.5 million.
Many countries, including Turkey and the UK have still not recognised the Genocide. This refusal to recognise such a calamity creates opportunities for similar events to take place without recognition by other countries.
The UK has not recognised the Genocide due to not wanting to damage trading relations with Turkey. It prompts the question: Does the UK and other non-recognising countries care more about trade relations or stopping ongoing injustice?
85. XBL UK to be the same as XBL USA
Like above my xbox went a bit funny when putting a cd in the tray and boom USA dashboard, you can tell it was because it had netflix. So I had a quick look at inside xbox, much more helpful and you would watch over and over and there was an events page which dates and what game.
Why does the USA have to get the better stuff while we wait for new stuff to come for about a week?
It's not fair. We had to do them when we were in Year 9, and they get to start their GCSEs early. We were put through so much pain to do them, and they should be as well.

As he is the the current king of the ring champion, We feel that that Regal should be headlining main events.
We find the treatment Regal has been receiving since his return from suspension to be unfair.

Burma is located in South-East Asia and shares the border with China, Laos, Thailand, Bangladesh, and India. The military has dominated government since General Ne Win led a coup in 1962 to 1988. Due to the increase domestic and international pressure, junta promised to hold the election in 1990 and National League for Democracy (NLD) led by Aung San Suu Kyi won the landslide victory. The ruling junta refused to hand over power and instead put Aung San Suu Kyi under house arrest and imprisoned thousands of political dissidents.
"If this country is to achieve genuine democracy, the result of the elections of 1990 must be recognized. It must be recognized by the military regime, as it has been recognized by the people, and by the world at large. It is through this recognition that we will be able to make genuine progress in Burma. The results of the 1990 General Elections must be implemented is a resolution already taken by the United Nations. We already know that the General Assembly of the United Nations has accepted the notion that the will of the people has been expressed in the 1990 General Elections. This is something we cannot abandon. It will be to the detriment of our country if after an election has been held the results are not honoured and we do not resist attempts to trivialise it", once Aung San Suu Kyi insisted.
We cannot ignore the lives of people scarified in 1988 mass uprising when more than 3000 people were gunned down, we cannot forget 2007 Saffron revolution when soldiers and riot police beaten and opened fire on Buddhist monks and peaceful demonstrators and we cannot close the eyes to the suffering of the heroes of Burma who are now in prisons and who were in prisons sacrifice their lives, faced torture and brutal treatment in order to show their aspiration for democracy.
A tremendous responsibility rests upon the United Nations Organisation to a far better end, and we are looking for a more positive and bolder lead of the United Nations as military regime is trying to nullify the results of the 1990 elections result by planning to hold another election in 2010.
Burmese people show their destiny, their will and sacrifice their lives already. United Nations must step up further in order to solve Burma crisis and actions needed to be taken practically focusing on to implement 1990 Elections result. The solution for the crisis of Burma is to recognize 1990 election result to restore democracy and rule of law where everyone can enjoy the freedom of speech, press, beliefs and assembly that emphasizes the protection of individual rights.
This is time to take actions and not words. Military government bought the time for 20 years and we should not let it happen anymore. United Nations must set out the dead lines to transfer power to Aung San Suu Kyi’s party National League for Democracy (NLD) by 2010. We don't want any more waiting games. General Assembly of the United Nations has accepted the notion that the will of the people has been expressed in the 1990 General Elections. International community strongly condemned the junta for refusing to allow elected representatives to meet as a People's Assembly and for failing to honour the results of the elections and hand over power. UN General Assembly has since 1991 passed successive annual Resolutions calling on Burma "to restore democracy and implement the results of the 1990 elections".
