61. Request for one extra City bound 302/202 Service between 5 and 6PM Mon-Fri
The 302 Bus service has a 40 minute wait between busses at 5:09 and 5:49 PM. This is the height of peak hour and during this gap 22 (13 outbound, 9 inbound) trains arrive at Box Hill station.
This is a request for a single extra bus servicng the 302/202 route between these times at the benefit of the transport using public.
62. Keep the US Horse Slaughter plants closed
Horses in the United States should not be slaughtered for food. Although people want ways of disposing of dangerous, unsafe horses, most of the animals that wound up at the slaughter plants pre-2007 were suitable for different disciplines.
Humane euthanasia is not equivalent to slaughter. The horse community is not asking the government to support unwanted or unused horses; instead the horse community is asking its own members to take care of the horses they already have, stop irresponsible breeding; and humanely destroy horses that are unsafe or can no longer be cared for.
Also, many products used in caring for horses are clearly labeled "Not for use in horses intended for food." Currently, there is no safe way to determine which horses have been exposed to these products. Reopening the slaughter plants could, therefore, put public health at risk.
63. Free Public Transport for Melbourne
FTM is campaigning to have public transport become free. Governments have a duty to provide basic services for their citizens, transport is one of those duties.
Creating Public transport FREE has many benefits:
1. well.. transport is FREE!! saving hundreds of thousands of families and pensioners thousands of dollars a year.
2. Money is saved through no longer being wasted fixing defunct machines and paying for intimidating, rude, bullying 'authorised officers'.
3. Public Transport usage will increase, easing the burden on public roads (which might i add are free to use) and allocating funding to be spent on the public transport system rather than on roads to accommodate dirty polluting cars.
- La suspension immédiate du permis de conduire;
- Des amendes plus élevées;
- Des périodes de suspension plus longues;
- Des programmes obligatoires d'éducation et de traitement de l'alcoolisme;
- La mise en fourrière des véhicules; et
- Le programme d'interruption d'allumage (Anti-démarreur);
- Minimum d'incarcération pour conduite avec falculté affaiblie causant des lésion ou la mort;

65. London Against Free Transport For Young People
Free travel was created for under-11's in January 2004, under-16's in September 2005 and under-18's in full time education in Septermber 2006 by London's Mayor, Ken Livingstone.
Since its creation, crime on London's transport network has risen considerably.
Since it's introduction, staff and passenger assaults, both verbal and physical have frequently been reported across London's media as have crimes of anti-social behaviour, vandalism and graffitti.
The time has now come to call upon the Mayor for the abolition of free travel for these individuals and stop them using our transport services as mobile youth clubs.
66. 3 ROUNDABOUTS
REQUIRED: 3 ROUNDABOUTS ALONG THE A359 MUDFORD ROAD, JUST OUTSIDE OF YEOVIL.
1)On the junction of Stone Lane, Coombe Street Lane and Mudford Road.
2)On the junction of St.Michaels Avenue and Mudford Road.
3)On the junction of Lyde Road and Mudford Road.
If, like me, you regularly use this road, then you will know the 3 junctions that should be made into roundabouts,
Junction "1 & 2" cause long tailbacks in all directions at peak periods, and often 1 causes a knock-on effect with the other.
Junction "3" is unsafe, with vehicles entering Yeovil not realising there is a busy junction and bend there.
The os grid references for each site (displayed as x,y) are
1)355585,117650
2)355812,117743
3)356450,118035
(these can be used in any online map, such as http://www.streetmap.co.uk/)
67. Change Legislation for Disqualified Drivers and Work Licences
A person can be imprisoned for a period of time and be released early due to parole but a person who is disqualified from driving a vehicle dose not have this option regardless that it may be a much less serious offense.
If a person who has lost their license or driven whilst disqualified, and has not re-offended after a period of time, they should have the option to reduce their disqualification period and/or be able to obtain a restricted work license.
People make mistakes and people change and I believe that my submission is fair and just.
68. Make electric cars available in Australia
The Australian Government has deliberately sabotaged attempts to make electric vehicles available to consumers in Australia to protect the oil industry.
While Australians suffer record high petrol prices and the effects of the effects of global warming in our worst droughts ever, our government is delaying the arrival of safe, clean, zero emission battery powered vehicles which can be charged via a standard power point.
Contrary to popular belief, viable private vehicles have been available since 2002 and are being driven by people in Europe and the United States. BEV's are capable of acceleration performance that exceeds gasoline powered vehicles and produce no noise pollution. Mass produced vehicles are safe and affordable. Yet government red tape has prevented their availability to Australians.
The Reva, a family car powered by electricity made in India has sold over 1,800 vehicles around the world since 2001. The Solar Shop in Adelaide has distribution rights and a the vehicle has a competitive retail price of $15,000 AUD, but the government will not let them sell it.
The Xebra, another battery vehicle has sold 200 vehicles in the US since 2006 but is not yet available in Australia but retails for around $13,500 AUD.
Both these vehicles are cheaper to buy than most models of commercial petrol powered vehicles and far cheaper to run than even LPG or ethanol powered cars.
These initiatives are supported in the UK with congestion tax exemptions and also in California.
Meanwhile, Australians are being made to drive vehicles which cost between four to six times as much per kilometre to operate or expensive hybrid cars which are not the ideal solution.
Our nation is the biggest greenhouse polluter in the world per capita, our government is not committed to ratifying Kyoto and transport accounts for over 15% of our total greenhouse emmisions.
Our government is making saving compulsory by superannuation, but not allowing us to save on our basic transport costs.
The Australian government argues that there is no demand for these vehicles, however until the government lets these be sold, how can they know whether there is not demand ? Instead, they continue to encourage LPG conversions and ethanol use as solutions for petrol prices and no solution for greenhouse gas reduction at the same time denying Australians a cheaper alternative.
69. Petition Objecting to PoHC Land Use & T/sport Strategy
Citizens of Victoria draw to the attention of the House plans for the expansion of the Port of Hastings and associated rail and freight infrastructure which will have significant environmental impacts on Westernport Bay and also significant detrimental social, environmental, health and economic impacts.
The consultation process for this proposal has been flawed and the Victorian community has not been adequately informed about the proposal.
To Change the 310 Back To A Regular Bus From The Express Bus (202) From Downtown.
Reasons:
- Too Crowded, on a nornal morning, there are over 20 people standing. Which is unsafe and dangerous...If The Driver Comes To A Quick Stop, Then Someone Could Get Hurt.
71. Whistle Cessation, Irvine Alberta
This petition is for Cessation of the Train Whistle while passing through Irvine, Alberta Canada.
The train goes by approx every 56 mins as there are 27 + trains going through Irvine on a daily basis with the rail traffic being more often when the demands for rail freight increases.
72. End horse slaughter in illinois
This petition is to try to end horse slaughter in IL.
The method by which horses are slaughtered is cruel and inhumane and cannot be regulated to be humane. Dogs and cats are protected against slaughter and export to countries where their meat is eaten. Horses deserve this protection also.
According to the USDA, the two slaughter plants in Texas killed 49,235 horses in 2003 for human consumption and about twenty thousand horses were transported to Canada and Mexico for slaughter. Together, these numbers represent about 1% of the total number of horses in the U.S., and the entire industry is only .001% the size of the U.S. meat industry. It is entirely foreign owned, and pays no corporate taxes or export tariffs. The horse slaughter industry is economically insignificant.
According to 2001 field studies conducted by Temple Grandin, 70% of all horses at the slaughter plant were in good, fat, or obese condition; 72% were considered to be "sound" of limb; 84% were of average age; and 96% had no behavioral issues. Slaughter plants do not want old, sick horses for obvious reasons. It is currently legal to transport horses in low clearance double-decker cattle trailers; legal to transport horses more than 24 hours without food, water or rest; and legal to transport horses without separating the stallions from the mares and foals. Approximately 30% of horses are injured from fighting and transportation.
According to federal law, horses must be rendered unconscious prior to slaughter, usually by captive bolt. However, some are improperly stunned, even with repeated blows, and are still conscious when shackled, hoisted by a rear leg, and cut across the throat. The USDA specifies that 10% live vivisection is acceptable! With their long necks and aversion to anything approaching their foreheads, many horses require multiple strikes.
The annual number of horses slaughtered in the US dropped from over 300,000 in the 1990s to less than 50,000 in 2003, with no special infrastructure needed to absorb the thousands of "unwanted" horses that were not slaughtered. Horses are being kept longer, sold to others, humanely euthanized, or donated to retirement and rescue facilities. The "surplus horse population" is a myth.
73. Blue Mountains Night Ride Bus Service
This petition is to expand the Night Ride bus service to non-metropolitan areas, but still within the intercity train region. Please read then sign. There is a printed written version of the petition, which I have signed. Thank you.

State that:
* Most trains do not operate between 12:00am & 4:30am especially in the Blue Mountains.
* Nightshift workers cannot find public transport during these times.
* Hospitality is the primary industry in the Blue Mountains.
* Not all taxi services in the Blue Mountains operate 24 hours a day.
* Taxis are unaffordable for many residents over the distances they need to travel.
* Drink driving is a problem on our roads.
* While alternative transport is unavailable attitudes to drink driving will not change.
* Sleeping in your car is dangerous & undesirable.
* For the smaller numbers during the night buses would be an environmentally appropriate and safer alternative than trains.
Your petitioners request that the House
* Extend the current night ride bus service to include the complete existing intercity rail service region, connecting with the existing metropolitan night ride service.
74. CityRail Trains Never on time
NSW Transport Minister Michael Costa has become the "Goldilocks" of state parliament, with conditions either too hot or too wet for Sydney's trains to run on time, the state opposition said.
Releasing coalition figures, opposition transport spokesman Mike Gallacher said that just under one million people ran late on the city's rail system this week, as 1,100 trains ran four minutes or more behind schedule.
Of the 925,000 people in Sydney the opposition estimated ran late, more than 400,000 people were delayed by 10 minutes or more, Mr Gallacher said.
"This week, without a doubt, goes down as the worst week in recent history for the NSW public transport system," he told reporters in parliament.
"On October 1, CityRail blamed the weather ... they said the wet weather was responsible a 10 per cent (of trains running on time) result.
"On October 13, the hottest day recorded, once again they blamed the weather.
Blame Who? We just want our trains to run on time. I'm sure our tax dollars can give us this.

75. Robert Gifford, Director of the Parliamentary Advisory Council for Transport Safety Must RESIGN
Advisor slams bike skills
'Improving motorcyclists skills merely means they kill themselves in a more skilled way,' according to one of the Government's top advisors on
transport. And when MCN contacted Robert Gifford to challenge him he called motorcycles: "Hopelessly
dangerous." Gifford, director of the Parliamentary Advisory Council for Transport Safety said he could prove
that improving skills makes people more
dangerous. His example? "Cars with ABS are involved in as many accidents as cars that aren't." When MCN suggested ABS isn't so much a skill as a mechanical operation he put the phone
down on us.
76. No to Cancellation of Busses in the Sheridan/ Homelands area
The busses in the Sheridan/ Homelands area are to be cancelled for the next school year.
