2. Save The Bill

After 55 countries buying the rights, 26 seasons and 27 years on the screen, The Bill has been a major flagship show of ITV and has regularly pulled in audiences of at least 3/4 million, despite being repeatedly messed around in the schedules and eventually being relaunched as once a week.

However, Friday 26th March, less than 6 months after the relaunch, saw the countdown to the final sirens for The Bill start after ITV announced that they are to axe it in the Autumn of 2010 without even giving it a year to bed itself in.

4. Save Our Stamp!

It has recently been announced that producers of The Bill have decided to axe Graham Cole's character, PC Tony Stamp, from the programme.

In an effort to "sex up" the programme for its post-watershed re-launch in November, the producers have decided that Tony doesn't fit their "new dynamic" and are shipping the character off to training school.

5. Reinstate The ITV3 Repeats Of The Bill

When you compare the amount of repeats that a programme like Coronation Street or Emmerdale receives from ITV, The Bill is quite clearly lacking in such support. With regular audiences of between 4 to 6 million The Bill is always in the top 20 of shows and could pull in even more viewers for them - IF we had the repeats back.

It's bad enough being cancelled for every football match/other programme that takes the fancy of ITV but not being able to catch a repeat of the episode when the entire network is saturated by soap repeats is unfair.
