1. NO Stonehenge Replica in Esperance, Western Australia
The Rotary Club of Esperance has suggested erecting a full-size replica of Stonehenge in Esperance, Western Australia. The prehistoric English monument, believed to be more than 4000 years old, is located in County Wiltshire, England.
The proposed replica, to be constructed of granite cut from a local quarry, was originally destined for a location in Margaret River. As the original project proposal however fell through, the Esperance Rotary Club believes there exists an opportunity to have the replica built in Esperance.
There has been no formal community consultation about the proposal, nor has any consultation with the Indigenous community taken place.
There is no record of any historic relevance this great wonder of the world has to this town or to this community.
There is no evidence to suggest the economic benefits of attracting a few more tourists would outweigh the harm to the cultural and social identity of the Indigenous and non-Indigenous people who call Esperance home. The potential loss of amenity and emotional distress to the local community inherent in such an inappropriate cultural intrusion would endure for generations.
2. NASH (No Amesbury Shed Henge)
Kenmore Capital has received Outline Planning Permission for employment use on land in the Solstice Park Development, on the outskirts of Amesbury, Wiltshire. This site has direct access to the A303 an already congested route to and from the south west of England and is only 3 miles from the World Heritage Site of Stonehenge.
Under this outline planning Kenmore Capital were given permission to build small business and industrial units. Now they want to change the use of the land and have submitted planning applications to build a Regional Distribution Centre (RDC).
This RDC will cover an area the same size as Heathrow Terminal 5 & its satellite station, each shed being at least twice the size of Salisbury Cathedral. The development is just 125 meters from local residential areas. The Secretary of State has refused to call in this application for a public inquirey. We are now raising funds to take legal action against this. Please help.

We support the ongoing campaign of many differing faiths, to have our Stonehenge Guardians/our ancient ancesters, cremated human remains returned and re-interred.
There is continued concern about Human impact on this our planet. The energy and consumer demands of a growing human population is having a deleterious effect on biodiversity and other natural resources world-wide.
It has been suggested by many important people that H M Government, English Heritage, The National Trust Wiltshire Constabulary, The Highways Agency, The Department of Transport, Salisbury District Council, The Ministry of Culture, Media and Sport, Wiltshire County Council and their predecessors, "Religious, Spiritual, Pagans, Druids, and other cultural groups have all been equally complicit in a mismanagement" of caring for the stones and the landscape.
* The resonating Spirit of Stonehenge seems to have gotten lost between 'departments'
The brillaint work that people have already facilitated past and present and future hold talks on how they will manage an 'Open Access' each year. The work that these people are projecting needs support from a stance of peace.
Universal Learning. project a stance for Universal & Environmental Peace. We would like see all Stonehenge carers accepting an official stance, that the Stones Energy Beacon will be a message of UNIVERSAL & ENVIRONMENTAL PEACE!
This Round Table Movie is "extremely revealing" on many accounts 80 mins. From the BBC www.bbc.co.uk/bbcfour/documentaries/features/nationaltrust5.shtm Officially designated a World Heritage Site, each year Stonehenge attracts thousands of pilgrim travellers for the summer solstice and other Seasonal visits.
Let us celebrate the wealth of our diversity and strive to learn from each other and help one another in a spirit of openness, understanding, trust, respect and Peace.

5. Return Stonehenge to its natural environment
Press statement from Arthur Pendragon - Stonehenge was presented to the Nation after the Great War in 1918. Sixty years later in 1978 a fence was erected around it. Thirty years on what’s changed?
NOTHING, LESS THAN NOTHING.
After spending many years and an obscene amount of public money on consultations, enquiries and the commissioning of countless reports and architectural drawings, the Stonehenge Vision as expressed by English Heritage, to return the Temple to a natural environment and remove the fence that holds it in a stranglehold like a snared animal, is dead in the water. Why?
Because since 1918 H M Government, Her Loyal Opposition and agents, English Heritage, Wiltshire Constabulary, The Highways Agency, The Department of Transport, Salisbury District Council, The Ministry of Culture, Media and Sport, Wiltshire County Council and their predecessors, have been all equally complicit in the mis-management and failure to comply with their duty of care for this living, working Temple that was left to us, the people of this once green and pleasant land.
Countless enquiries amount to nothing because no one is prepared to invest in what is after all A World Heritage Site and, incidentally, the biggest cash cow in English Heritage’s arsenal.
The Authorities have shown their gross incompetence in their mis-management of Stonehenge and therefore, on behalf of the Nation and the people therein, I lay claim to this Temple and will mount a legal, moral and political challenge to their custodianship.
In the meantime, I have spent the best part of twenty years in negotiations with said agencies, only to have it brushed aside with the stroke of a pen. It is now my intention to celebrate Solstices and Equinoxes in the environs of Stonehenge but I will not enter the Temple until their promise is realized and the fence removed.
My mistake was, I dared to dream, dared to believe and to work for their vision. I too have a vision, to re-erect the fallen Stones, replace the lintels and rebuild our Temple. I call upon leaders of other religions, belief-structures and philosophies to support me in this. I call also upon the people of Salisbury to support me through the ballot box and to send a peoples’ champion to Westminster to represent them in Parliament – by, for and of the people.
