1. Help with the cost neutering within Wolverhampton
The amount of dogs especially stafforshire bull terriers in rescue centres within wolverhampton and surrounding areas is disgusting. Most people find neutering costly.
Help for people on low incomes would help this situation.
2. Bring cancer-killing gene therapy to the UK
The Ben Howard Cancer Appeal was initially formed in November 2007 to enable Ben Howard to obtain cancer-killing gene therapy in the UK. This involves transporting the cancer-suicide P53 gene to tumours by injection or via intravenous drip to the targeted area. Ben died in December 2007 but family and friends vowed to keep the cause going in Ben's memory.
I was guest speaker at the British Society of gene therapy's annual conference in 2009 and I discovered how frustrated our UK scientists are that gene therapy has been held back by EU regulations. This petition is designed to raise awareness and overcome barriers to help people who, like Ben have been offered no cure for their cancer.
Cancer numbers are growing, especially in the young adults of UK. We owe it to them to help bring gene therapy here with clinical trials.
Residents have branded a cull of Canada Geese 'barbaric' after they were woken early in the morning by the sound of gunfire in a neighbourhood park.
Rugeley-based Wildlife Management Services have been contracted by Stoke-on-Trent City Council to cull the geese.
4. Make Pit Bulls Legal In Addison, IL!
Please! Help me make it legal to own a pit bull in the City of Addison, IL!
Pit bulls are one of the greatest dogs you could ever want! They are sweet, smart, loving, gentle, and most of all, NOT human aggressive!
Don't punish the breed, punish the deed!
According to studies, you are more likely to get attacked by a Collie (Lassie dog) then by a pit bull.
Don't judge a dog by it's looks! After all, how would you like it if the government decided to ban YOUR dog? Wouldn't you do anything to fight a law like that? Please help me rid Addison of the Pit Bull ban.
Thank you so much!
Here is a copy of the Addison village ordinance reguarding pitbulls:
"Sec. 4-27. Keeping of Dangerous, Vicious, or Wild/Feral Animals or Fowl. [back to top]

(Ord. 85-35, 93-55, 02-37, 04-40)"

Cheshire is the only county in England that does not have its own dedicated news page on the BBC.
Surfers seeking news from Chester, Nantwich, Wilmslow, Vale Royal, Macclesfield, Crewe, Congleton etc, are forced to search for local news on the news pages for Merseyside, Manchester and Staffordshire.
Even then, coverage is very sparse, compared to news reporting from the major towns in the adjoining regions. Cheshire is a very large county and deserves its own coverage as much as the other English counties. Local news for local people!
Complaining individually to the BBC produces one of the following responses:
- we don't know why there is there no Cheshire coverage, we'll look into it.
- please look on the news pages for adjacent counties.
- it's not viable.
Why is it not viable? We are licence payers - we deserve equality of coverage. The BBC's attitude is disgraceful at best.
The BBC website also does not provide coverage for Cheshire regarding non-news, such as its "What's On" pages - typing in your postcode directs you to the nearest major town in an adjacent county.
Furthermore, there is no BBC Cheshire radio station and searching the BBC website for information on Cheshire weather displays weather maps for Liverpool to Glasgow, North Wales or Staffordshire, none of which show any Cheshire towns.

6. Keep Ace Bridges in Maxwell
Dec 26, 2005
Ace Bridges is a Staffordshire terrier, which is a breed of pit bull. Ace is not a harmful dog, although he has been labeled one because of his breed. He has been around other dogs, big and small. He has been around children and adults. He has never harmed anyone, Ace doesn't even bark.
This dog is all his owner, Gerald Bridges, has. Gerald knows that this dog is not vicious and he does not want to give him up, but the city is asking him to remove Ace or else they will forcefully remove the dog from Gerald's home and have Ace put down.
As a fellow citizen, I am telling you that there is no need for this dog to be removed from within city limits. This is the calmest dog I have ever seen. I am asking you to sign this petition in hopes to let Gerald Bridges keep Ace in his home.
7. The safety issue of a concrete bollard between Gable Croft and Warren Close
An unlit concrete bollard has caused a resident of the Boley Park Estate to have an accident and break her wrist.
It has come to our attention that others may have had similar accidents, and believe it to be unsafe for the community.
