Still nothing has been said about it being released to South America.
We want it here too.
For a decade now, handgun caliber restrictions and magazine restrictions have been in effect after a tragedy involving a high caliber handgun.
Sporting shooters are unable to use handguns with a caliber of more than .38 inch or 9mm unless they are involved in a specialized competition e.g. metallic silhouette which requires a high caliber handgun.
The law entitles sporting shooters to own high velocity, low caliber cartridges but not the lower velocity, high caliber cartridges with a larger projectile. Sport shooters are also limited to 10 rounds or less which creates a major disadvantage during competition shooting events.
The purpose of this petition is to remove unnecessary caliber restrictions and increase the maximum magazine capacity from 10 to 15 keeping public safety in mind.
Last April, they put up stop lights & closed one lane of the South Aspy bridge because it's unsafe to drive on. That lane on the bridge is now piled with snow.
How could the constant weight of snow be any less dangerous than the weight of a car driving over it? If the bridge is that damaged and unsafe, why hasn't anything been done about it yet? Are they waiting until it lets go due to the weight of a school bus full of kids driving over it? Something needs to be done. Now.
The Department of Transportation have simply said "It's on the list". Just how long is that list? Where are our Tax Dollars going? Certainly not to road and bridge maintenance.
Discovery Health Medical Aid has drastically changed their coverage for all allied health professionals for 2012.
It is unreasonable to go from unlimited benefits to a low maximum.
We are asking Discovery Health Scheme to appoint an independent commission of enquiry to investigate alternative ways of curbing abuse of benefits, without capping the limits.
Please join us and show your support- we need as many signatures as possible to show Discovery MA that we have major support.
Hank Williams Jr is the Pete Rose of getting into country music's hall of fame. He is the most deserving singer/songwriter not in yet. He should have been in decades ago. He is labeled an outlaw and his political views are blinding the association's vision of his true talents.
He is more deserving than half of the already inducted. I need your help to show the association that he belongs. It is not right or fair to the music world and all his fans. He has been in the business since the 50's law starting out very young after his father passed. Do this for me and all his fans. Look at his music not his views.
Vote Hank Williams Jr. Thank you and God bless.
South Park is seemingly coming to an end. Their contract was supposed to end after 15 seasons...it's almost that time. Especially with the latest episode it would appear the end is dawning upon us...
For the sake of millions of fans and actual good tv, we ask of you to sign in order to change the minds of Matt, Trey, & Comedy Central.

SUBJECT: THE SPLA COMMITTED WAR CRIMES AND CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY IN UNITY STATE OF SOUTH SUDAN
The undersigned members of Nuer community worldwide are hereby appealing to the world nations to authorize International Criminal Court (ICC) to launch an investigation on heinous crimes the Sudan People’s Liberation Army (SPLA) committed against the civilians of four sub-counties of Bul Nuer of Unity State of South Sudan. On May 20, 2011, Mayom County commissioner, Charles Machieng Kuol, revealed to the international media that after the South Sudan forces attacked rebels at four sub-counties of Mayom and Mankien, the SPLA army burnt 8,000 civilian homesteads to ashes. Sixty five children, elderly women and men who had disabilities and were not physically able to escape were burned alive.
The SPLA soldiers also killed the livestock and shot at every civilian who attempted to escape. It is reported by village chiefs that the SPLA shot to death more than hundred civilians who tried to escape. All these reports were corroborated by the United Mission in Sudan (UNMIS) after visiting the area.
It’s our duty to bring to the attention of the international community that since the SPLA army embarked on fighting the rebel forces of Maj. Gen. Peter Gatdet in April, the South Sudan’s government forces have committed so many atrocities and crimes against the Bul Nuer civil population which warrant international investigation. The international community needs to know that when Maj. Gen. Peter Gatdet rebelled against the Government of South Sudan, the SPLA army started to target the Bul Nuer because he hailed from that clan. The mistreatment of Bul Nuer civil population reached a deadly intensity in the beginning of May when the SPLA army engaged itself in burning villages they inhabited under the pretext that the villagers supported the rebels.
As part of its policy to destroy the livelihoods of Bul Nuer, the SPLA army assisted heavily armed Dinka cattle rustlers from neighboring Warrap state to attack Mayom County rural areas between 12—20 May, 2011 and took more than 23,000 cattle. So many civilians were displaced and left without any livestock to feed their children.
In all attacks conducted by armed Dinka militias from Warrap State, the SPLA army assisted them instead to intervene to protect the civilians because the Governor of Unity State ordered the army to punish the entire Bul Nuer for the fact that Maj. Gen. Peter Gatdet hailed from that clan. Besides, Lt. Gen. Taban Deng Gai, the Governor of Unity State, rejected the request of Mayom County Commissioner for emergency humanitarian aid to save the lives of civilians displaced by the SPLA army and Dinka militias of Warrap State.
Since the end of the 2nd World War, the international community—through the international tribunals tasked to prosecute war crimes—established a number of principles to bring to justice those who perpetrated heinous crimes against civil populations. In the Nuremberg trial, the international military tribunal established a principle that war crimes are offences against customary international law and as such are subject to universal jurisdiction. A UN International Criminal Tribunal was established in 1990s in Arusha, Tanzania , to hear cases arising from the atrocities carried out in Rwandan genocide of 1994. Since then, it has become part of international criminal law that the international community has a responsibility to investigate genocide, torture, rape, murder, crimes against humanity and breaches of the 1949 Geneva Convention.
The tactics the SPLA army is using in punishing the civil population of Unity State is reminiscent of what the Rwandan government did prior to 1994 genocide by punishing the Tutsi civilians as a result of rebels’ advances. The SPLA army targeted the Bul Nuer clan civil population because the leader of South Sudan Liberation Army (SSLA) is from that clan. This is exactly what the Rwandan government did after the rebels of Rwanda Patriotic Front captured many garrisons from the government.
The crimes the SPLA army had committed against the Bul Nuer civil population so far are crimes against humanity and war crimes in violation of the Geneva Convention. The attacks the SPLA launched against innocent Bul civilians are widespread and systematic and are aimed at targeting identifiable clan. They are not random acts of violence as some quarters have been saying but systematic acts which warrant international investigation because they meet qualification as crimes against humanity that the international community has a responsibility to investigate before it is too late.
The purpose in which the international community established the International Criminal Court (ICC) was to hold individuals accountable for crimes against humanity which include extermination of civilians, torture, rape, persecution on political, racial, national, ethnic, cultural, religious or gender grounds. The SPLA army had committed heinous crimes against Bul Nuer civil population which could be deemed as crimes against humanity. Rome Statute of International Criminal Court states in article seven that crimes against humanity include torture; persecution against any identifiable group or collectivity on political, racial, national, ethnic, cultural, religious, gender; imprisonment or other severe deprivation of physical liberty in violation of fundamental rules of international law; Attack directed against any civilian population; and forcible transfer of population.
Article eight of the said statute also states that war crimes include willful killing; willfully causing great suffering, or serious injury to body or health; extensive destruction and appropriation of property, not justified by military necessity and carried out unlawfully and wantonly; intentionally directing attacks against the civilian population as such or against individual civilians not taking direct part in hostilities; intentionally directing attacks against civilian objects, that is, objects which are not military objectives; Intentionally launching an attack in the knowledge that such attack will cause incidental loss of life or injury to civilians or damage to civilian objects or widespread, long-term and severe damage to the natural environment which would be clearly excessive in relation to the concrete and direct overall military advantage anticipated; and violence to life and person, in particular murder of all kinds, mutilation, cruel treatment and torture.
Therefore, the South Sudan Nuer International Advocacy for Human Rights (SSNIAHR) requests the international community to implement the following to bring to justice those who committed war crimes against the Bul Nuer population:
1. The UN Security Council (UNSC) must refer the abuses the SPLA committed this year against the Bul Nuer civil population to the prosecutor of the ICC. The Government of South Sudan condoned and participated in the atrocities committed against the Bul Nuer and could not be expected to bring to justice members of its armed forces who committed crimes against humanity.
2. The ICC should investigate the role South Sudan President Salva Kiir Mayardit played in the atrocities the SPLA army committed against Bul Nuer civil population. As the Commander-in-Chief of the army, he is responsible for ordering the SPLA to attack Bul Nuer and burn several villages.
3. The ICC should investigate Lt. Gen. Nhial Deng Nhial, the Minister of the SPLA Affairs, for May 20, 2011 burning to death of sixty five children, elderly women and men in Mayom County, Unity State.
4. The ICC should also investigate Lt. James Hoth Mai, Chief-of-staff of the SPLA army; Lt. Gen. Wilson Deng, Deputy Chief-of-Operation; Maj. Gen. Gatduel Gatluak and Maj. Gen. Koang Chuol Ran-leak for the burning of 8,000 homes and the SPLA army’s deliberate killings of more than hundred civilians.
5. The ICC should investigate Governor of Unity State, Lt. Gen. Taban Deng Gai, for ordering and encouraging the punishment of the entire Bul Nuer clan including their livestock. Gov. Taban Deng is on record for ordering the SPLA army to loot and destroy villages of civilians who refused to be forcefully relocated.
Moreover, he categorically rejected the request of Mayom County Commissioner for emergency relief aid so that Bul Nuer population would die of hunger and starvation for refusing his orders to relocate to other sub-counties. The Governor has come up with policies which are based on programs of realizing clan cleansing in violation of international norms.

P.A.R.C. is a group of residents living near Yankee Stadium, in the Bronx N.Y., who are petitioning the Bronx Borough President, Ruben Diaz Jr. and Mayor Bloomberg to issue residential parking permits to certified local residents. These parking permits would allow residents within a 10 block radius of Yankeee Stadium to have the exclusive right to park within this area on home game days and other events held at Yankee Stadium. Yankee fans are welcome to park in the numerous Yankee parking lots or father away from the stadium.
As a result, residents in the area would park worry free and the city would create more revenue from the parking lots they already have in the area. Thus, with residential parking permits residents can also enjoy Yankee home games and other events held at Yankee Stadium, and the city can get a greater return on their investment.
Residents should not have to worry about finding parking after coming home tired from a long day of work or school. Residents should not have to spend a hour or more looking for parking where they live. Residents should not have to sacrifice their quality of life for Yankee home games, or any other Yankee Stadium event.
South African tertiary institutions are being crippled by disruptive and destructive strikes spear headed by academically under achieving students occupying high posts in our SRC's.
These people stay for years in these institutions so they can enjoy many benefits including free fees, etc.
Why are people consistently failing on the one thing that got them in the institution being allowed to lead fellow students ?
In high schools we see bright kids excelling in their studies and sports but also head their Learners Representative Councils, what happens to this aspiring leaders when they arrive in institutions of Higher Learning ?
Lets call on the Department of Education to pass Legislation that will force tertiary institutions to set out clear and sensible criteria for students' eligibility in occupying seats in the SRC's.

Laws are not strictly enforced in South Korea and some portions of South Korean population still consume dog meat. The primary dog breed raised for meat, the Nureongi (누렁이), or Hwangu (황구; 黃狗). In March 2009, an article in the Korea Times reported that some 9,000 tons are being served at about 6,500 establishments across the country annually.

Trying to organize over 600 of our kids, Bluffton Youth Sports (BYS) has been in charge of the youth baseball/softball program in Bluffton, SC for three seasons.
Due to the fact that they try to run this organization in their "spare time", the job they have done has been ineffective at best. In addition to their inability to effectively run the youth baseball/softball program, they also take it upon theirselves to make judgements and decisions which are not based on facts but instead serve the purpose of their own adgendas and biases. When asked about their decisions, they either dodge questions or tell the opposite of the truth.
After being called out on these issues, one of the board members recently physically threatened a coach that had the integrity and the right to speak up. Their concerns are for their own good and not for the good of our children. This is supposed to be about what's best for our children. Any organization who puts themselves in front of the people they lead, denies the truth to the public and physically threatens those that have the right to speak up does not deserve to stand. Enough is enough.
I and many others believe that Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a special competitive sport which is highly under-appreciated in the wider population. We believe it would be a fantastic addition to the Olympic events list and even better as a competitive sport in the first ever Olympics held in Brazil.
While we understand that the ever growing number of sports included, especially from increased pressure from larger sports has meant that there are already a significant number of events that cannot be fully covered. It would almost be inappropriate for one of the national sports of such an influential and prosperous country not to be included in their first ever Olympics.
It is already a highly competitive sport with millions of elite competitors worldwide and already has world championships in which a high level of competition makes for compelling viewing, whether those watching have previous knowledge of the sport or not.

In his manifesto at the 2008 London Mayoral election, Boris Johnson promised to hold an emergency summit with Train Operating Companies (TOCs) so that Oyster pay-as-you-go would be introduced to overground stations in South-East London as soon possible. To date, this has not happened.
18. It's About Time
We were promised properly resourced quality nursing/midwifery services
- Public Sector nurses and midwives across metropolitan South Australia are taking action because the State Government has failed to deliver on its promise to support positive and resourced quality nursing and midwifery services.
It’s about time that these resources are delivered
- A promise was made, in February 2007, to provide more nursing and midwifery staff for direct clinical care so that other nursing and midwifery staff (including Level 2 and 3) could spend time performing activities that have an important impact on patients.
- Since this time, we have repeatedly requested that the resources be provided.
- To date, we have not been provided with a response or timeframe.
It’s the time we need to provide quality patient careThe failure to resource quality nursing/midwifery services has a negative impact on patient care. Failure to meet the promise means that less time is available for important work including:
- Quality improvement
- Infection control
- Rostering (ensuring adequate and appropriate staff on shift)
- Clinical teaching supervision / support of new staff
- Professional / knowledge development and resources
- Co-ordination management and planning.
We have exhausted all other options to make the State Government deliver
- Because we have not received a response, we are taking action so that the State Government will provide us with the resources we need to provide quality nursing/midwifery services.
- We regret that we have been forced to take action, but we are taking action because of our commitment to the community and your health needs.
- We ask for your patience and support in our campaign – this is a campaign to ensure the community gets quality nursing/midwifery services and that’s why ‘It’s About Time’.
The Sydney Southwest Area Health Service is planning to cut crucial services from their Early Childhood Centre Program.
One of the main changes includes the ceasing of the Tuesday morning drop-in service in the Balmain Early Childhood Centre (and no doubt other centres as well). This change will come into effect in mid-December and this decision was implemented without any consultation with the community at large.
The drop-in service has provided regular and accessible help to many parents in an informal setting and has also provided an important supportive forum for many parents to meet other parents.
It is essential for many parents to help care for their young children because babies needs are often immediate and cannot wait until planned appointments which are only available weeks in advance.
Many parents in Balmain are from interstate, overseas or country areas and are separated from their support networks. They rely heavily on formal services for support.
More changes - such as ceasing information forums like 'Introducing Solids' - are planned and something needs to be done to show the SSWAHS that these services are vital for the health and well being of our babies and parents and to ensure that no more services are taken away.
Please help us protect the mental and physical health of our babies and parents in Balmain and other suburbs within the Sydney South West Area and sign this petition to have our Early Childhood Services re-instated and to ensure that future changes to the Early Childhood Program be thoroughly debated by the community.
The Board of Education wants to merge North & South high, who are rivals. No one is for this, except for the board.
Petition to keep the television show "South of Nowhere" running after this continuation of the season it is done for good!!! SAVE SON.
The background information is pretty much that our environment is turning into a dump.
Rainforests are being cut down, and the ozone layer is completely disappearing. Global warming is for a fact, happening. The evidence of global warming is Al Gore's documentation called "An Inconvenient Truth".
Many animals are dying because of global warming, such as polar bears and penguins. They are dying at increasing rates and will end up extinct. In the documentation "An Inconvenient Truth", Al Gore shows stunning statistics.
The one that I found most stunning is that if we continue on like this, some of our major cities will be totally underwater because of the melting ice from the north and south poles. Some of the places are New York City, Miami, Houston, and many others.
I am sorry to announce bad news about South Park. There was an interview with Trey Parker and Matt Stone and in which they said they signed a 3 year longer contract after the 12th season. It will be from seasons 13-15.
There is also a problem with this because even though there is going to be 3 more seasons, I am sorry to tell you that South Park will no longer be on the air. It will only be online and were here to change it. So sign the petition.
Trey Parker amd Matt Stone also said that they believe that because more people do not watch the episode on tv and just wait for it online, that they will make more money by putting it only online.
South Carolina Law Reads: Allowable methods of euthanasia.
(A) Only the following methods of euthanasia may be used to kill animals impounded or quarantined in animal shelters, and the procedure applicable to the method selected must be strictly followed:
(1) Barbituric acid derivatives:
(2) Carbon monoxide gas:
(a) dogs and cats, except animals under sixteen weeks of age, may be killed by bottled carbon monoxide gas administered in a tightly enclosed chamber. The chamber must be equipped with: (i) internal lighting and a window providing direct visual surveillance of the collapse and death of any animal within the chamber; (ii) the gas concentration process must be adequate to achieve a carbon monoxide gas concentration throughout the chamber of at least six percent within five minutes after any animal is placed in the chamber. The chamber must have a functioning gas concentration gauge attached to the chamber and a strong airtight seal must be maintained around the door; (iii) the unit shall include an exhaust fan connected by a gas-tight duct to the outdoors capable of completely evacuating the gas from the chamber before it is opened after each use, except that this provision does not apply to chambers located out-of-doors; (iv) animals must be left in the chamber for a period of no less than fifteen minutes from the time the gas concentration throughout the chamber reaches six percent.
(b) no person may euthanize an animal by gas emitted from any engine exhaust system.
(c) in all instances where a carbon monoxide chamber is used: (i) no incompatible or hostile animals, or animals of different species, may be placed in any chamber simultaneously; (ii) every chamber must be thoroughly cleaned after the completion of each full cycle. No live animals may be placed in the chamber with dead animals; (iii) all animals must be examined by a veterinarian or certified euthanasia technician to ensure they are dead upon removal from the chamber; (iv) all chambers must be inspected quarterly by an independent, qualified technician who is thoroughly knowledgeable with the operation and maintenance of the particular euthanasia chamber being used; (v) an operational guide and maintenance instructions must be displayed in the room with the euthanasia chamber.
(3) Shooting: Shooting may be used as a means of euthanasia only in an emergency situation to prevent extreme suffering or in which the safety of people or other animal life is threatened or where it is considered necessary by the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources to eliminate or control the population of feral animals.
Meaning Gassing is still legal in SC.
This is a very inhumane way of euthanizing an animal. This form needs to be eliminated completely. Euthanizing should only be an option when determined as the best solution for the animal by a licensed Veterinarian.
The City of Ann Arbor has granted a parking permit to Sanita's Construction Co. of Clarkston, MI to use the court at the end of South Seventh Street to stage a construction site.
There are numerous large construction vehicles stored there daily in addition to piles of stone, sand and dirt and a portable toilet, which is not fenced in. The construction equipment is used for the footing drain disconnection in the Morehead/ Churchill area. This project has been in process for five months.
The court is in a residential area and is next to a public playground. The playground and park are also a major traffic area for children from the Northbrook area to go to and from school. This is a very dangerous situation for the students walking past the site. The vehicles drive at too high a rate of speed to be able to stop quickly in case of an emergency.
The constant noise and traffic has been excessive on S. Seventh, Morehead and Delaware Street, although the work is now in the Churchill Downs subdivision. There are several courts over in that area that would accommodate the equipment
As the Stanford University article states "American corporation IBM was the largest computer supplier in South Africa throughout the years of apartheid. In 1978 alone, IBM's South African sales jumped 250%; total annual sales amounted to approximately three hundred million dollars in 1982. Not only did IBM contribute tremendous computing power to the South African apartheid system, but of the fifteen hundred South African workers employed by IBM in 1982..."
It is clearly deeply disturbing that a company that has directly or indirectly supported the apartheid system through technology be allowed to function let alone administer this project.
‘LIFE-THREATENING’ plans to cut the jobs of eight full-time staff who man South Devon’s only hydraulic firefighting platform have been condemned by MPs and hoteliers as well as firefighters and their officers.
Firefighters say the round of cuts, aimed at saving the newly-formed Devon and Somerset service £1million, will put lives at risk and substantially reduce their ability to tackle major high-building incidents quickly and efficiently with its ‘Bronto’ appliance.
For generations of people, Shawlands has been a major shopping centre in the southside of Glasgow: we want it to stay that way.
Over the last 18 months, the G41 community newspaper has run lots of stories where people have expressed their fears about the future of Shawlands.
The same questions come up over and over again:
- What's going to happen to the Shawlands Arcade?
- What effect will the massive Silverburn shopping centre in Pollok have on the area?
- How can traders cope with increasing rents?
- Why are so many shops closing?
- What can be done to improve transport and parking?
- How can Shawlands be made more attractive?
- Should part of the area be pedestrianised?
- How can Shawlands be made safer at evenings and weekends?
- What can be done about the state of roads and pavements?
Shawlands & Strathbungo Community Council has been talking about these issues for a while and had plans to carry out a community survey to find out what local people and traders would like to see happen in the area.
The community council has to be applauded for raising the idea - but with the best will in the world, it's too big a job for a voluntary body to take on.
That's why G41 is now calling on the local Community Planning Partnership and Glasgow City Council to take up the issue.
