1. Rebuild Stirling Skatepark

Since 2009 a project has been running in Stirling with the intention to rebuild the Skatepark within Kings Park, Stirling.

Over a number of years the Skatepark has suffered from frost damage and subsidence resulting in a facitlity no longer fit for the expanding and popular sports of BMX, Skateboarding, Rollerblading and Scootering.

We have therefore been campaiging and working hand in hand with Stirling Council and the Friends of Kings Park to have the skatepark rebuilt, providing a fit for purpose, modern facility which will enhance progression in the sports whilst providing a safe enviroment in which to do so.

So where are we now? We have an application for funding sitting with SportScotland, however, they want to know how much you support this project....

So please, sign this petition to show your support for the cause and lets get Stirling's youths the Skatepark they need!

7. Build a skate park in Sittingbourne

Sittingbourne now severely lacks a skate park following the closure of Unreal Skatepark, leaving us with only a few places, all very small and a long way from the main town, and the places we do use are being slowly taken from us.

8. Building a skateramp under the James Harrison bridge in Geelong

In the Belmont and Highton area of Geelong there's no skate facilities for the youth. They have to travel to either Waurn Ponds or the Waterfront skate facility which is a fair distance away. Which can be hard during school holiday's for parents because they need to work.

None of the youth areas offer enough shade for people who suffer illnesses involving the sun (eg- cancer). And the area is completely visible from the road so it will be a safe place for kids to hang out and not have to worry about criminals and graffiti. All up it is a perfect spot for this facility.

9. Save Baysixty6 Skatepark

The Westway Development Trust are seeking planning permission to turn the area the skatepark is situated, under the A40, into a garden centre and office space. Their reasoning behind this "The Skatepark does not serve needs of the local youths".

We are setting up this petition to encourage Kensington and Chelsea Council not to allow planning permission and save Baysixty6 Skatepark.

10. Support a Vineland NJ Skate Park

The skateboard and BMX riders in Vineland, NJ have no legal park of their own to practice and ride. They are often ticketed and fined by the police because the parking lots and hand built sites that they practice in are not sanctioned by the city, county, or property owners, and are not safe places to play.

There are no legal facilities available for them other than the YMCA, which charges a fee too high for many of our students to pay.

A BMX/skatepark would provide a safe, fun family place to play. It will also give our young people an escape from our city's criminal element. The city has made baseball, basketball, tennis, and soccer facilities available for the children who have those interests. The skateboarders and BMX riders deserve the same consideration.

11. Support Waltham Abbey Townmead SK8park

Despite broad support by local youth ,community groups, churches ,parents and supportive councillors our 'promised' concrete facility Skatepark has been stalled!

Waltham Abbey Town Council had already agreed back in March 2008 that a professional facility was required and was made well aware of the usual funding & construction flaws of nearby projects which are not well served or fit for purpose which is why a decent proposal was sought and found recently .The Town Clerk Kathryn Richmond, and her assistant Jim Winter who worked so well with the local youth are being stalled by the 'new Tory' government in the application to the 'Playbuilder Fund' which had already been allocated to Waltham Abbey or at least agreed in principle!

Skateboarding, rollerblading ,and BMXing are part of everyday youth culture now and need to be recognised as demanding professional facilities .They need a good place to skate so that our youth are not criminalised in our towns and shopping malls...Surely every town should have A concrete pro skatepark since there are now so few youth clubs and virtual nil youth service? Waltham Abbey has been promised much but actually has considerably little...

Please honour our local youths' efforts in their recent liaison with local government.

15. Append the Usage Permissions for the Niles, MI Community Skate Park

Currently the usage rules for the Niles Community Skate Park prohibit the use of bicycles within the skate park. These rules effectively leave community BMX bicyclists with no venue to participate in their chosen sport; save for potential trespass and/or possible public property damage.

A preliminary conversation held with the Niles Board of Parks and Recreation yielded positive input and has lead to this formation of a public petition to address the request for a skate park rules change. Our effort is to allow rules to be changed to allow the use of bicycles within the skate park.

16. Turn The SafeWay Property In Chilliwack Into A Skatepark

The City Of Chlliwack needs a safe place for bicycle riders of all sorts/skateboarders/scooter riders etc to ride safely. Just last week i witnessed my best friend get beat up by 4 gang members because he was merely at the skatepark.

A safe place provided would help keep the children who use the parks to be completely safe due to the entry cost, which would deter crime perpetrators. Consider all the possible other thing young teens could be doing besides have an normal evening doing what they love, in a safe and healthy environment.

18. Oppose Construction of Permanent Skateboard Park at Waller Cul-de-sac (Waller & Stanyan)

We believe that constructing a permanent skateboard park at the Waller cul-de-sac is an inappropriate use of this space and that such a skateboard park would have a highly negative impact on the neighborhood.

Noise pollution would be extreme and would be magnified with any skateboard event or exhibition. Additional potential side effects include the influx of large numbers of skateboarders, graffiti, loud music, at-risk pedestrian safety, and the degradation of property, sidewalks, and streets.

19. Building a Skatepark in the Rosemont area of Sacramento

Sacramento has finally started building great skateparks, but only in places that are hard to get to for younger children that want something local. In the Rosemont are there is nowhere local to skate.

This petition is to build a skateboard park in Rosemont in one of the the few parks community parks that have land that hardly anyone uses.

Many parents don't have the time and/or money to take their children to the skateparks because of work, and parents would be more comfortable with there children near home.

23. Build A Skatepark in The City of Coppell Texas

Most places in Coppell are illegal to skateboard, places such as the Aquatic and Recreation Center, Public baseball and football fields, The park behind City Hall, and many more. Lots of new signs have been posted recently that say "No skateboarding."

Many skateboarders in Coppell have no where to do there thing! I believe the reason is simply because skateboarding can damage property and cause injury. Most places in Coppell you cant even skate for five minutes before authority kicks us out. Most skaters do understand, but they don't understand why the city doesn't do something so we can skate and have more freedom.

The only thing that the city has done is spend money on putting up skateboard blockers and closing off things that are known to be skated on. People in Coppell are getting the wrong image on skateboarders because they think most of us are punks, thugs, and even gang members but were not! We're just regular people with a passion for doing what we love to do. Skateboarding is not a crime, but its also not legal in most places in Coppell. Many skateboarders in Coppell have to drive to cites such as Allen and Plano to get to a skatepark. For kids they can't just hop into a car and go they have to find rides there and back and that can be a hassle. We need something more local.

Coppell has built tracks for joggers and bikers, public parks for families and other citizens, jungle gyms for kids, basketball courts for basketball players, baseball/softball fields, and football fields, where is the place for skateboarders? A skatepark will benefit both skateboarders and the community. The skateboarders will have a safe place to skate freely with no trouble or hassle, the community will most likely show a decrease in property damage and skateboarder reports to police.

We are judged because we do something different! There are hundreds of skateboarders in Coppell alone and we need some where to be free to skate and have fun! That's why I think its time for Coppell to get a skatepark, if you agree your signature will be appreciated because it shows skateboarders that you care.

25. Creston Needs a new Skatepark

There are many playgrounds and parks in Creston for primary school-aged children - several within walking distance of every house. There is NOTHING for secondary school-aged children, except ONE small useless skate park.

THIS IS UNFAIR. Then the Councils wonder why youth hang around the streets with nothing to do. Teenagers need exercise and facilities too.

Skateboarding is a popular sport - if kids have no skate parks, they will still skate - on the streets in churches, schools. People tell them off, but they have no alternative!

Where does all the money from the City of Creston go? New developments such as the recreation center add-on. No good to us.

PLEASE - we would like a skate park for teenagers in Creston! (Or at least rebuild the small skate park by the recreation center).

On an extra note; skate parks can accommodate many other sports too such as BMXing and rollerblading.

26. Revamp Whitehall Skatepark

For the past couples year we have had the same old skate park. This Skate park has been through a lot of rough things without any updates from the city of Whitehall.

Our ramps are busted up, caving in and just plain out suck. We have nearly 4 ramps, and only 2 that are still with in some form of good condition.

Please help sign this petition to help make the kids of Whitehall happy.

A good area to place it would be in the park just off Jessamine Avenue and Karalee road.

Why?
-no skate park in area.

-the bike jumps in the area is very rocky and has soft dirt.
-there is so much room to put one in.

28. Build a Skatepark for Brooklyn, New York

I am writing out this petition because skateboarders in Brooklyn have no where to go. We can't skate in the streets because we'll get hit by cars. We can't skate in the parks because the Park Department thinks we vandalize.

We can't skate in schoolyards because police officers ticketed us for trespassing. There aren't any skate parks around Brooklyn (11228) that is within walking distance. We need a place we can go to do what we love everyday. That is why we need a skatepark.

29. Pinole Skate Park: Fernandez Park is not a suitable location

Why the proposed Fernandez Park site is unsuitable for Pinole's skate park:

• Noise: too close to residential area: 150 yards (450 feet) is recommended standard.* The Fernandez Park site is 60 feet from nearest house. The site will produce a noise nuisance for many blocks surrounding.

• Visibility is poor: Especially at the far end next to the creek path. This portion has a high risk of becoming an attractive nuisance for graffiti, drugs and other unwanted behaviors. This area was already the site of a shooting and double murder in 2005.

• Railroad tracks are an attractive nuisance: Due liability issues the City will not be providing on-site supervision. There have been several injuries and deaths involving young people and trains in Pinole and the surrounding area since 2000.

• Increased traffic and parking problems on Tennent Avenue: Increased car and skateboard traffic on Tennent Ave, as well as parking and littering issues.

30. The suburb of Rosanna needs a skatepark

There are dozens of playgrounds in Banyule for primary school-aged children - several within walking distance of every house. There is NOTHING for secondary school-aged children, except TWO skate parks - one in Greensborough and one in West Heidelberg - not within walking or cycling distance for school kids.

THIS IS UNFAIR. Then the Councils wonder why youth hang around the streets with nothing to do. Teenagers need exercise and facilities too.

Skateboarding is a popular sport - if kids have no skateparks, they will still skate - on the streets in churches, schools. People tell them off, but they have no alternative!

My mum pays hundreds of dollars in rates every year. We get NOTHING for that. Lots of playgrounds for little kids; lots of new developments in Greensborough. No good to us. We live in Rosanna.

PLEASE - we would like a skatepark for teenagers in Rosanna!
