1. Call For Solidarity for Real Chicano/Latino Studies at MSU 
Within the past decade, great strides have been made in Chicano/Latino Studies at MSU. Some of the successes include:
A specialization in Chicano/Latino Studies was created for the first time, open to all students of the university to gain exposure and expertise in Chicano/Latino scholarship;
A unique mentoring program was developed, led by students for students, as a way to strengthen community and promote Chicano culture on-campus. Over 200 students have participated in the Chicano/Latino Fellows program since its inception;
A space for Chicano/Latino Studies was created, expanding from a one-room to a visible six-room office on-campus to support student social and academic activities;
A stand alone Ph.D. program in Chicano/Latino Studies was created, the first in the Midwest and only the second in existence nationwide;
An intellectual community of undergraduate students, graduate students, and core faculty committed to Chicano/Latino Studies has emerged, engaged in word and action to social justice and collective empowerment.
These accomplishments of the past decade, preceded by at least twenty years of struggle by Chicano students at Michigan State, are significant for at least two reasons:
First, there is now a greater institutional presence of Chicano/Latino Studies within the university;
Second and most importantly, these accomplishments reflect an intentional process by the former Director of Chicano/Latino Studies, Dr. Theresa Meléndez, to engage in principles of collective decision-making and mutual respect, whereby students and core faculty alike had a voice in the direction of the program.
For all of these reasons and more, it is unfortunate to have to come to you now and express that Chicano/Latino Studies is facing a crisis.
The demise of the program began after the appointment of Dr. Sheila Contreras as the new Director of Chicano/Latino Studies in the Fall of 2008. With the support and encouragement of MSU's administration, Dr. Contreras has single-handedly undermined the last 10 years of hard work and collective effort, primarily by refusing to listen to the voices of the undergraduate and graduate students. Dr. Contreras has even been unresponsive to concerns raised by core faculty members since her appointment, her own colleagues in Chicano/Latino Studies.
After being unsuccessful in attempting to share our concerns directly with Dr. Contreras, the Real Chicano/Latino Studies (RCLS) was formed in the spring of 2009 as a symbolic expression of opposition to the direction and current leadership of the program. Subsequent attempts to share our concerns were taken to the Dean of the College of Social Science, where the program is housed, and after no resolution, to the Provost of the University. Despite the concerns repeatedly raised by the majority of all involved directly in the program, the administration of the University has ignored them and continued to support the Director.
We are, thus, writing you today, asking for your help!

2. Prevent NJ DCF Regional Schools across NJ from closing!
The DCF Regional Schools across NJ are very beneficial to disabled, “at-risk” high school students (students who would regularly have to drop out or fail in the traditional public school setting because of legal troubles, parole, multiple explosions, etc…) and pregnant and parenting teens who want the best for their futures and the futures of their babies and don’t want to be another static and drop out.
The State of New Jersey wants to get rid of these programs to “save approx 4,000,000 dollars in the 09-10 year” but think of all the welfare costs that are going to skyrocket if the 500+ students who attend a DCF Regional School across NJ have to drop out because of lack of accommodations, childcare, and because they just can’t mesh with the normal high school setting. Most school districts do not provide any form of childcare for teen students who have infants and toddlers.
The Project TEACH (Teen Education and Child Health) educates teen mothers about proper care and nutrition for their children on top of letting them get their high school credits and finish high school months earlier than the traditional high school student.
Please help keep our schools open!
3. Seniors of Buffalo County, Nebraska Pushing for more than a $10 Food Stamp Supply
People in Buffalo county that are disabled or of the age of Senior acceptance only receive ten dollars in food stamps on a monthly basis.
This can't be accepted, because of the fact that seniors and people with a disability consume more than ten dollars of food in one month, and people who are in this age or disability range may not be able to work for themselves in an income manor.
4. Team Spirit for our Cheerleaders
The sport of Cheerleading is being harmed by the actions of some team parents. The youth are being influenced by the words and actions they are seeing being played out right before their eyes.
If a team mom and a cheerleaders mom have a difference of opinion it should be handled in a private and direct fashion. The public is watching and the influence it has on them will fashion the opinion they have of the whole sport. The public already thinks that cheerleaders are stuck up snobs who do not care about anything but themselves.
The future of the whole sport hinges on the ability to encourge a feeling of togetherness and team spirt needed to trust the abilities of each other. When a team is in sync the whole flow is beautiful. If the kids are lead to believe they are not as good as someone else they tend to not be able to trust and the pyramid of the team is broken. People are pushed out and the old stuck up cheerleaders mith is perpetuated.
We need to be able to get along and deal with the team of cheerleaders as a whole and one body. Not as a bunch of people who do not care about each other. If the team is to be the best we all need to do the right thing and put petty differences aside and deal one on one with the parents, in a repectful and professional maner. When parent form clicks and oust other parents and newcomers the children do the same.
We need a team of parents to teach these kids not a team mom. The team as a whole should not be governed by a single mom, it should be looked over by many caring mothers, and fathers. The team should be developed into a single body, with a confident flow. The actions of one disrespectful mother are having a negitive influence on members of the board, the parent club, the squad and the public at large.
We need to as a group let her know this will not be allowed. We want our children to be in a loving, positive and caring atmosphere. Can't we all just get along. Please join us in asking the team mom/boardmember to step down and let a more caring loving and dignified person take the responcibility of our childrens welfare.
We need someone who will take the time to address the kids with respect, no matter where they come from. Someone who will lead by example. Someone who will take the time to set up fundraisers that will have an atainable outcome. Someone who will not give attitude to others who are not as well to do as she is making herself out to be. When a child and parent can not afford to just "cut a check" for the money costs it takes to be in this sport. They should not be made to feel inferior. We are not all made out of money.
5. PROSECUTE LTTE FOR CRIMES AGAINST CHILDREN
For the last 2 decdes LTTE alias LIBERATIONTIGER OS TAMIL EELAM Terrorsist group in Sri Lanka practise of force, abduct children in the North and East and traina gainst their will in their camps for various Terrorists attacks in Sri Lanka and overseas.The estimated childrens been kidnapped over 5000 for last 2 deacdes bby the LTTE.
Most of these children are between ages of 10 to 18 and bothe Male and Femals. Some children around age 10 has been train in isolated campse for suside missions for LTTE. These camps name as ROSE GARDEN where children lived in a isoltaed camps forbidden to enter for many. Today due to the lack of man power LTTE use children to fight with the Armed Forces.and also use as child slaves in their camps in the Wanni region in SRi Lanka.
It is very unfortuante thet the UN or the ICRC failed to resuce these childrens.
Thje parents are afraid of ther lives cannot raise their voicre against LTTE crimes agiant children in combast,UN have any clue or geniune intrest to activly invetigate this crimes but just was bale to made statments and send envoyes time to time for nothing,we belive the sri lankan community AND iNTERNATRIONAL community can make a push to build up immidate action against LTTE and bring them to INTERNATIONAL COURTS OF JUSTICE and punish them for their continue crimes against childrens in Sri Lanka.We also planing to offer a rehab programme for children esacpe from LTTE slave camps and you can write to us if you like to contribute your donations.

6. Vista Media Center to Support DVB-x (DVB-S/S2/C/CI standard)
Microsoft announced that they won’t be supporting the DVB-x standard in Windows Vista Media Centre.
This petition is to show how much demand there is for this support standard to be included.
We wish to see the following standards supported, including the CI interface for DVB-S, DVB-S2, DVB-C, DVB-T (currently supported).
7. Doing he RIGHT thing for our CHILDREN
This is a supplementary petition due to the fact that our hearing officer Ed Lockwood, has made his ruling in opposition of the annexation.
Please help us by signing this petition to show the State board of Education that it needs to go to a vote.
Our kids' future depends on it.
8. Abolish the Use of Child Soldiers
Though the use of children as soldiers is condemned by the international community, the atrocious practice are still continued in many countries.
Children involved in armed conflict, are beaten, raped, and killed. What's more troubling is that they are forced to carry out the same violent actions towards other people, even other children. Child soldiers live under severe conditions. They are not given the care that every child should get. Boys are not the only victim of this serious issue. Girls are also recruited as soldiers and are more at risk of rape, sexual harassment or abuse. Like the boys, they are also force to participate in combat.
We have an obligation to millions of children to make sure that they don't spend their childhood in a violent world where they must kill or be killed.
Please join us in our efforts to abolish the use of child soldiers.

10. Keith's Leadership Ability
The Product Process Supervisor position has opened at Best Buy #047. Keith Wood filled out a JOS form and approached the hiring manager, Mark Pacheco. Mark's response was that Keith was not ready, that he lacked the necessary leadership skills and had not been in store long enough to be comfortable with everything.
Keith is disputing this for these reasons:
1) Multiple people Keith works with have stated that they think Keith would be a good Supervisor.
2) Said people have also voiced that they would listen to and respect Keith as Supervisor and as a leader.
3) When asked about the other available candidates, said individuals stated that they believed Keith was the most knowledgable, had the best temperament for the job, and would look out for the team.
This petition is to show how much of the department would support and follow Keith as Supervisor.
11. Anti-Cheat for Ghost Recon
Ghost Recon is overwhelmingly saturated with cheats, trainers, hacks, glitches and GR needs an anti-cheat. It has become common to trade theses secrets to close people, such as within a clan. Playing GR has become less entertaining then banging my head against the wall. It's obvious that there are cheaters out there, Punkbuster states on there website.
"If your favorite game does not yet have integrated PunkBuster Anti-Cheat technology available, let the game's developer and/or publisher know how important this issue is to you."
If we can get people to sign this petition, we can try to convince UBI that Ghost Recon needs to intergrate some sort of anti-cheat into Ghost Recon. Maybe ever intergrate Punkbuster into it.
1000 Signatures is on the horizon, we need less then 100 more signatures and we have the goal! Once we get 1000 signatures, we will forward all the signatures to UBI, Red Storm Entertainment, Punkbuster, Kidbuster,
and to anti-cheat communities.

I support the design plan and feel it has no negative impacts to my property and preserves the architechural integrity of the existing structure and the Virginia Park Neighborhood..

THE INFORMATION INDICATED, IN BOLD LETTERS, THAT THERE WOULD BE A CHANGE IN THE STARTING TIME FOR THE AUSTIC PROGRAM AT SEAHOLM HIGH SCHOOL IN BIRMINGHAM, MICHIGAN. CURRENTLY, THE STARTING TIMES ARE MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY FROM 7:25 A.M. TO 2:40 P.M. IN THE FALL OF THE YEAR, THE STARTING TIME FOR TUESDAY AND THRUSDAY WILL BE 9:05 A.M. TO 2:40 P.M. THE STARTING TIMES FOR MONDAY, WEDNESDAY AND FRIDAY WILL REMAIN THE SAME. THE PARENTS WERE NOT CONTACTED TO PARTICIPATE IN ANY OF THE PLANNING OR TO OFFER ANY SUGGESTIONS REGARDING THE CHANGE IN THE TIME. 14. Reform the Moderator situation at the E3 Forums!
To all of the Elder Scrolls 3 Forum users: It has become painfully clear that the moderator situation has grown out of control. Moderators with too much power are oppressing the forums users, and they are using their power to fulfill personal vendettas that they may have with certain users.
Supervision of these Moderators is almost non-existant, because only TWO Administrators actually lay claim to the responsibility of maintaining the forum and its moderators. As anyone can tell, there is too large a load for too few people to handle, and this is why ALL the users of the forums demand a reform of the Moderator staff and power.
We feel the new Moderator Structure should be as follows:
1.) Moderators do NOT have the power to BAN users from the forums.
2.) Specific individual Moderators shall be assigned a specific forum and is held responsible for actions in their forums.
3.) Only Administrators shall be permitted to BAN users, AFTER a hearing has taken place with the Moderators about the offending user.
4.) If a BAN is executed, the BANNING ADMINISTRATOR shall issue a detailed email to the BANNED user stating, in depth, the details of their offence, the reason for their ban, and where in the User Agreement they violated the terms they agreed to when they signed up.
To elaborate these reform options:
1.) Too many chiefs and not enough braves is the sentiment there. If every moderator is allowed to ban any user at whim, a vulgar display of power is inevitable, such as the current state of the forums!
2.) If you read the forum information, you'll notice a huge moderator/administrator mix is responsible for ALL the forums. This is too much work, and more than HALF those listed Moderators/Administrators are actively involved in Moderating the forums. If you assign two or three Moderators to a forum, its much easier for them to keep it under control, and you have no overlapping and hasty desicions made.
3.) This is a given. If every policeman was allowed to carry out Judge, Jury, and Executioner with every person he arrested, you would have many many dead people. Simply because the wrong people have all the power. Responsible Administrators should be responsible for making banning decisions, based on a general Moderator consensus that deals with the problem causing user, the number of offences they made, and where exactly in the user agreement they are violating. Only after this is accomplished can a ban be executed with 100% flawlessness and justice.
4.) Banned users have a RIGHT to know WHY they were BANNED. A simple vague reason provided by the forums with a equally vague error message is NOT good enough! Banned users need to know what they did wrong, where they violated their user agreement, and what their being banned for. This way, there is no way a user can have any grounds to cause more trouble or question the decisions made against them.
This petition is to establish order on a ramshackle slip-shod poorly managed forum, whose users are FED UP with being miss-treated by the power-abusing Moderators, and the unprofessional methods of their actions.
The forum users want JUSTICE!
I've used ebay for years, I've seen THEM become richer and richer as the sellers get poorer and poorer. I have created this petition in an attempt to get the fees lowered.
Ebay has continually raised cost to list items on there auctions, they have created stores, bought out billpoint and paypal. They are obviously making more money off of our sales than we are. We the small sellers are loosing moneys, please lower fees or we will be looking to move elsewhere.

17. CTV_Warhorse Resignation Demanded
The Official Court TV Club was a club where justice, court cases and other legal issues were supposed to be discussed among members. It was a community comprised of people worldwide who come together to discuss many issues and where friendships were formed and debates were the norm of the day.
However, this is no longer the case.
For many months, it has instead become a place where the moderator, CTV_Warhorse46, a paid CTV employee of The Official Court TV Club, deletes posts because someone does not care for a CTV anchor and says so; deletes posts because someone posts Clintoon instead of Clinton; and deletes posters because they believe in 1st amendment rights of Free Speech. It is a place where you can be sent to the corner if you even hint that Nancy Grace is not your favorite person or because a CTV anchor might become offended. Political figures may NOT be discussed in unflattering terms. It has become a place, not where you can discuss issues important to you or the community, but where what you have to say is censored and you are chastised.
It has become a CTV Anchor Fan Club.
Then it became even worse.
This week, after apparent years of posting photographs belonging to others, the moderator was actually caught red-handed by the actual owner of copyrighted photographs. When asked to remove the photographs, the moderator complied, only to later post a fraudulent email purportedly coming from the owner of the photographs. This was done purely to cover up her illegal activity. The photographer had to return yet again to let the members know she had not sent the fraudulent email and that the moderator did not have her permission to use her material.
Since then, dozens of posts have been deleted in order to hide what happened and other posters have been deleted as members. As of today, CTV had yet to see fit in removing CTV_Warhorse46, a CTV employee paid to be the moderator of The Official Court TV Club.
Do adults have to be monitored in such a way that they are nothing more than mindless robots or a group of sheep? Must they only post what is acceptable to a few? Is this how Court TV runs things? We certainly hope not. We need a moderator who is unbiased and fair. We need a moderator that can head off trouble before it happens. Bashing and flaming of posters should never be allowed, yet freedom to discuss our beliefs on any issue should be a right – one afforded to us by the Constitution.
We Demand the Resignation of CTV_Warhorse46 and the Club returned to it’s stated mission. A place to talk about crime and justice issues. A place to form friendships and exchange ideas on every subject important to us. A place to become “our community online” once again.
18. Road rage threatens endangered species
Over the past decade we have gradually seen the phasing out of a fine automobile, "the Magna" Recently numbers appear to be in rapid decline and something must be done to preserve this unique species. Capable of transporting 7 in relative discomfort, losing no traction on beach terrain and surviving a hundred kilo monolithic unit from Orange falling on its roof, the Magna has proven time and again that it is a survivor. Those who own a Magna swear by it, however these individuals are often subject to delusions of its invulnerability and as such often push the Magna to its limits. It is these people that must be identified, they must be held accountable for their actions and the cruelty they inflict upon this species. Only with your support can we save this special breed of car and ensure that future university students have a bucket like the Magna they can call their own. Please help save the Magna!!
