1. Petition Against Racism at Shell Oil Station
A recent photo circulating on Facebook shows an effigy of President Obama with a noose around his neck. In the background there is an indication that this racist expression was done onsite of a business reported to be in Orlando Florida.
2. PUBLIC APOLOGY FROM BBC WORLD HAVE YOUR SAY
On Monday 8th August 2011, during the height of major civil unrest, BBC World Have Your Say on the BBC World Service broadcast a phone-in debate on the England riots entitled "Is there a problem with young black men?".
The programme made a clear link between the England riots and the idea that the cause was due to a problem with young black men in general. It invited calls and comments from around the world to respond.
There is no editorial justification for the topic and the majority of comments on the World Have Your Say Facebook site reflect the dismay and shock that this subject has been deemed worthy of a respected international broadcaster.

The BBC's own editorial guidelines state:
"5.4.38. We aim to reflect fully and fairly all of the United Kingdom's people and cultures in our services. Content may reflect the prejudice and disadvantage which exist in societies worldwide but we should not perpetuate it. In some instances, references to disability, age, sexual orientation, faith, race, etc. may be relevant to portrayal. However, we should avoid careless or offensive stereotypical assumptions and people should only be described in such terms when editorially justified."
3. NASCAR: Green-White-Checkereds in EVERY Race
Would you like to have exciting finishes EVERY race NASCAR has? Then sign this petition to get, the #1 sport in America, NASCAR to have Green-White-Checkereds in EVERY race they have. They could throw a caution on the 3 to go lap, to set up the 3 attempts of a Green-White-Checkered.
Because say that there was an exciting race throughout the entire race (crashes, fighting for positions, etc.) and there was a boring finish, and we don't want that.
4. An Unrestricted Racial Discrimination Act for the Northern Territory
Legislation currently before the Commonwealth Government includes plans to reinstate the Racial Discrimination Act which was suspended when the Intervention was introduced into the Northern Territory in June, 2007.
However, this new Act will be a very restricted version to the one which was suspended in 2007. It will NOT have the powers to protect Aboriginal people from the consequences of so-called special measures.
For example, when the RDA was suspended, Aboriginal people had no means of appeal against compulsory acquisition of their land by government on 5-year leases. When this new Act is reinstated, NOTHING WILL CHANGE. There will be no legal avenue to address this issue, or any other issue related to the measures.
Regarding the 5-year leases, former High Court Justice, Michael Kirby, said, "if any other Australians, selected by reference to their race, suffered the imposition on their pre-existing property interests of non-consensual 5-year statutory leases.......it is difficult to believe that a challenge to such a law would fail...."
If this new legislation is implemented, the government will have again failed to keep its promise to Aboriginal people.
Calls to the Australian Government to reinstate an uncompromised Racial Discrimination Act have been ignored.
For Australia to be classified as a racist country is shameful for all Australians, Indigenous and non-Indigenous.
If you wish to assist by conducting your own hard-copy petition, please indicate this in the comments column Thank you.

5. Townsville needs a Motorsport Facility
Townsville needs a multi-purpose motorsport facility! With time running out for existing facilities, Townsville is desperate for somewhere safe to hold multi-purpose motoring events to benefit all!
There is definitely a need for it up in Townsville and North Queensland.
6. Airport Officials should be respectful to all travelers regardless of race or religion
This petition is about the unnecessary harassment of selected foreign guests at International US Airports. In the name of security checks, those travelers are harassed for hours by Custom Officers.

With the cancellation of Dakar 2008 due to terrorist threats, the organisers of the Dakar have to find some new ground.
While Africa will always be the spiritual home of the Dakar, its just not possible in the near future. ASO says they want to explore the deserts of the world, and well, we have 1,371,000 square kilometers of them, and thats just the start of it. With the Dakar heading to South America in 2009, there is a chance they may want to explore other options for the following years.
With over 4 million square kilometers of sand to explore, there is more than enough chance for racers to get lost in the heart of Australia. With the world famous such as Ayers Rock (or Uluru) and the Olgas, there are plenty of unforgettable sights for the media madness of the Dakar. And hey, theres even a pink lake at the bottom of W.A, coincidence, I think not.
Losistics, transport and services all become that much easier in a country that has grown with being remote, not just to each other, but the rest of the world. The language barrier, passports, visas, medicine, water, fuel, everything becomes pretty easy when touring the deserts of Australia. While english isn't everyones first language, I don't know a lot of people who can say Mandarin is even on their list. (China want the Dakar for 09).
Great deserts, great people, great riding, great everything. So come on ASO, there arent too many excuses for not moving to Australia, but there ARE a lot of reasons to move here.
9. Stop The Tirad Of Racism In Brunswick High School
At Brunswick Sr. High School in Lawrenceville, Va racial discrimination is a cataclysm.
Being that the school is predominantly black and only about 18% white, of course there will be racial issues. However, I for one have experienced it myself when i first came here. Blacks on my bus and in the school were harassing me even though i had not done or said anything to them. They would throw things at me, tell me where i could and could not sit, threatin to beat me up, and much much more.
I personally have gone to the principal, Mr. Whiting, as have my father and step mom many different times and he has not done anything about the issue and presumably just as mainstream, formidable, disconcerting, and indifferent.
This happens on a daily basis, not only to me, but to most other white people as well, and nothing is being done to stop it. We NEED Your HELP to STOP ALL Racism in this school before someone gets hurt even worse.
10. End the Grand Prix at Albert Park
The Formula 1 Grand Prix was relocated from Adelaide to Melbourne in 1996 amidst both fanfare and protest. Hailed as a sporting event triumph by the then government, the site chosen was a major city recreational park of state significance, Albert Park, which was subsequently altered substantially to accomodate the racing track which included the clear felling of over 1000 mature trees.
Ten yeas later, inflated attendance figures keep falling as do the economic benefits, but the abuse of the local area by the Australian Grand Prix Corporate keeps increasing.
The official ticket allocation and attendance has fallen by 25%, however independent reports claim that the actual attendances are much lower. The government makes claims of net economic benefit, which are also questionable.
The cost to taxpayers has risen to over $30 million dollars. While the organisers claim that the value of international advertising to Melbourne is something like $100 million, one would question the value of marketing the world's most liveable city to petrolheads and whether it is worth the pain caused to Melburnians.
The disruption to users of the park is massive, and the time taken to assemble and dissassemble the track takes longer each year, forcing local sporting clubs off their grounds.
Now, during our worst ever drought, the Australian Grand Prix Corporation is using our precious lake water to keep the grass green around the track and to wet and prepare the road surfaces. This is just before Stage 4 water restrictions come into place, whilst the rest of the park is dry and trees are dying, television audiences will see only pristine green grass in the immediate track areas. Inside the park, areas where grass once grew and is now dirt and dust due to the drought has been covered in many tonnes of woodchips for the convenience of spectators, which would seem like a massive waste of trees. The Grand Prix corporation injects little into the massive maintenance costs of the park, of which it contributes significant wear and tear and this is an indirect cost to taxpayers via Parks Victoria.
Furthermore, noise pollution over the Grand Prix weekend directly affects over 1 million people in the inner metro area.
It is time to return Albert Park back to the public and put an end to this abuse of one of our greatest cultural, recreational and sporting icons. We want to make a statemtnet against the government sacrificing parkland for commercial enterprise.
African Americans in the United States for decades have had to succumb to the many prejudices and injustices that discrimination has produced. Countless, brutal, and unimaginable events have occurred in the African American history, that have prevented us from voting, owning land, eating in certain restaurants, living in specific locations, and ultimately robbing us of our God given freedom to live freely as human beings.
However, the unspoken truth is that injustice amongst African Americans is NOT a thing of the past. In today’s society inequality has moved from being blatant to systematic. You can’t quite put your finger on it but you know it is there; it is the unseen plague that can be found in our schools, our communities, our state, and our nation.
WHY is it that the media only portrays women as being ghetto and black men as thugs who can only aspire to be athletes or rappers.
WHY is it that more than 50% of the inmate system is black when African Americans only make up 12 % of the U.S. population?
WHY is that every time a politician makes an ignorant comment about the African American race it is the peoples fault for taking it the wrong way.
WHY is it that the simple commodities like gas and food cost more in deprived multi-ethnic communities but less in affluent neighborhoods?
WHY is it that our schools only offer a page honoring black history and yet our school system teaches our kids 300 + plus pages of so-called American history. When if it were not for African American inventors, educators, philosophers, and revolutionists there would be no American history.
WHY is it that taxpayer’s money is not spent on enhancing underprivileged schools with books and extracurricular activities? Instead the neglected are left without books and after school programs…Young people in disadvantaged neighborhoods have the right to a proper education too!
WHY is it that any race can demand change in the way society views them as a whole as long as it is not the black race?
WHY? Why are we afraid to ask why?
If we choose to ignore these injustices we will never see the justice of a peaceful tomorrow. This is OUR time to Fight for Justice. So, join us in our fight to better the future for the next generation.
12. We need a White Television Channel
June 1, 2006
Blacks have Black Entertainment Television, Asians have AZN American Television, Hispanics have Spanish channels.
I think Whites should have their own channel since Whites are becoming a minority in the United States.
Please help save the lives of millions of greyhounds. These poor dogs are pumped with steriods and then when they are done racing they are slaughtered if no one rescuses them in time. I had a greyhound that was my best friend that i rescued from the track and he only lived to be 7 years old. He died of cancer from the steriods and even the best medical tretment could not save his life. If you belive in saving these dogs please sign this petition and then contact me at: ztwocraigs@wmconnect.com
