1. Enough is Enough: Appropriate Punishment to fit the Crime 
Enough is Enough.
The time must fit the crime. e.g. young Bailey's killer, and Castro (kidnap and sexual assault, as well as aggravated murder in Ohio) need to be punished.
2. Rewrite the new California prison realignment good time credits
Californias New Prison Realignment and Granting Good Time Credits for Time Served. This new policy having to do with only people who have committed a crime or who have been sentenced from the year 2011 to present these people getting 50 percent good time credit for time served. Meaning day served for day credit.
The problem of this is people being sentenced from 2011 on not being punished for crimes they had committed, and being released on their own goodwill disregarding the seriousness of the crime recently committed. And not looking at Prisoners whom have paid at least portions of the debt to society and is unlikley to reoffend.
Believing that California should use the risk factor assessment tool that so many other states have used and have had successful results. This risk factor should be used on all prisoners not including murders or rapists. Prisoners who should be looked at should be first time offenders as an adult, Prisoners who have been imprisoned for more than 5 years, and things that should be taken into consideration is good behavior while being imprisoned etc. This would help determine if a Prisoners likely to reoffend.
3. Life Sentence for Child Molesters
90 percent of child molesters are out of jail in under 6 years, and most will do it again.
These people are getting minimal sentences for a crime, that not only affects the child mentally, but physically, and not to mention the emotional damage it does to the families.
It's time we stop giving these monsters a slap on the wrists, and sending them rushing back into the playgrounds.
4. Fair Capital Sentencing Act of 2012
One of the most serious threats to the U.S. criminal justice system is the allegation that racism influences the imposition of death sentences.
I propose an overhaul of the sentencing process, using the best technology available.
5. Caning for Convicted Criminals
The crime rate in Singapore is one of the lowest in the world. They have a Crime Rate Per 100,000 population of 650. The United States alone has a Crime Rate Per 100,000 population of 4249.4, with the State of California ranking 15th in the country for highest crime rate.
Following a similar model that implements caning as punishment, as done in Singapore, is a better deterrent for criminals than the current system that is in place.
6. Protect Peaceful Animal Rights Advocates And Animal Lovers
One animal rights campaigner did not approve of how animals were being treated at a certain place, so she joined a peaceful protest and within seconds the police arrived. Despite the best efforts of the other campaigners, this woman landed with broken legs and arms and just lies in bed and cries herself to sleep most nights.
All they were doing is peacefully and legally saying no. Isn't it about time that we started targetting the ones that actually ARE extremists and not peaceful campaigners?
7. Death Penalty for Child Sex Offenders
It is 2011 and Australia is still in the dark ages when it comes to the sentencing of criminals, in particular those who commit sex crimes against children.
In a recent trial a judge in Victoria sentenced a woman who had incestual sex with her son for and allowing her husband to repeatedly molest her daughter for five years and three months and ordered she serve two years and three months before being eligible for parole.
This message shows the Australian public as well as the rest of the world that sex offences against children are not of much concern to our judicial system.
We need to call on the PM to bring back the death penalty and harsher sentencing for sex offenders.
8. Install jammers in UK prisons
Criminal activity that is taking place from within UK prisons is being greatly aided by the use pf illegal mobile phones. Installing jammers will mean that every mobile phone within the prison will automatically be blocked. No signal can be received therefore all communication through mobile phone use will be ceased.
A very effective device will limit illegal offender communication.
9. Stop Punishing Innocent Collegiate Players and Fans
The NCAA is placed in the difficult position of having to punish collegiate athletic programs for rules violations occurring in the past. One tool commonly used is to ban a program from post-season play and/or take away player scholarships.
Schools often self-impose sanctions, hoping it will lessen the wrath should the NCAA act on its own. The most recent situation involves the men's basketball team at USC. The school has sanctioned itself by removing itself from post-season play. This only harms the current players and coaching staff - both of which had nothing to do with the rules violations.
Punishment should be better directed at the people with responsibility for the violations, including the athletic director and designed to affect the schools as a whole to better encourage the prevention of future violations.
10. Take action against Police Chief for molesting teenage girl

No less than 20 states allow corporal punishment - using physical force that causes pain or discomfort - against a child with disabilities for purposes of discipline.
The ACLU/HRW report makes clear that students with disabilities are subject to corporal punishment at significantly higher rates than their peers who don't have disabilities. Florida ranks ninth in the nation on this list. Further, all too often, kids with disabilities are being punished for having a disability - for behavior that is a direct manifestation of their diagnosed and documented condition. The report documents instances in which this happens to children with autism and Tourette Syndrome. The report sums it up this way: "Students are being beaten for behavior they simply cannot control, or cannot reasonably be expected to control, a grossly disproportionate and fundamentally demeaning response to the child's condition."
Let's stop the punishment now and make it clear that any use of physical force for purposes of discipline against a child with disabilities (seclusion and restraint is another topic for another day) will be promptly and forcefully dealt with by our schools and elected officials.

12. Ban punishment, rationing and denial of bathroom use in schools
District 87 has no restroom policy. It is left up to the teacher's discretion and at Irving Elementary that equates to, if you need to use the restroom frequently or when it is inconvenient you will receive a disciplinary mark equal to if you hit, bite, name call, or destroy property. I have contacted several teachers through out the years and this remains the same. I contacted the principal this year and yet it remains the same.
OSHA protects an adult right to use the restroom at anytime yet it is up to us to protect this right for our children.
Some might say just hold it is good practice as to not interrupt the class learning environment. To that I ask you to remember sitting at a desk doing the potty dance. Did you recall anything the teacher said? Were other student busy giggling at you instead of listening to the teacher?

13. David Gill to resign from FA
Manchester United have had favourable punishments from the FA due to their Chief Executive being on the board. They have continuously got away with a telling off for incidents which other clubs and players have been fined or punished heavily for.
14. Rapists Deserve To Have Genitalia Removed
Rape is a filthy and horrific crime. It destroys the lives and the self esteem of the victims, and some people never recover.
It is a disgusting act all about power and control and is in some cases, worse than murder.
Omar Khadr is a Canadian citizen who is currently being held at Guantanamo Bay. Khadr was fifteen years old at the time of his capture. He is currently the only Western detainee at Guantanamo Bay, as the Canadian government has refused to extradite him. He is on trial for crimes that he allegedly committed at the age of 15.
New videos have come to light that illustrate the serious mistreatment that Khadr has faced while in Guantanamo.
16. Keep Capital Punishment OUT of our Country
We don't have the death penalty in the UK, and that's great. But I have recently seen a lot of petitions to bring it back. I am deeply concerned about this, and I hope you'll agree with me.
So please sign this petition, to make sure we stay just as humane as we are at the moment!
17. Fighting For Public Justice & Common Sense
After hearing about the death of Mr. Gary Newlove, and the fact we ourselves are fighting the youths. That are allowed to run amok and cause fear, and dismay. These young people are constantly getting away with crime, violence and anti social behaviour and murder on a daily basis.
WHY are they being allowed to run around the country do as they please?
It is because the out of touch Judges and Magistrates and the Courts and ineffective and useless MP's and City Councillors and other "Do Gooders" who instead of helping the victims of crime.
See it more important to protect the rights of the scumbags and little toe rags who terrorise our streets and neighbourhoods around the UK.
Cruelty to animals has gone on long enough. Punishment should be stronger. Remember Jane Goodall.
Would you beat or starve your own cat or dog? Well people out there do, and some of the most likely think it's okay, mabey their parents did, maybe their best friends do it, maybe they do it for sheer entertainment.
Punishment for animal abuse should be stronger! A person who beats, or starves a human doesnt go to jail for a few years and then just be released, they are punished, so what if its not a human, most people in the US cant even find us on the world map, or know that polar bears live in the norther hemisphere, not with the penguins in the southern. If animals could talk, I bet they could know that, humans take their rights for granted, while animals are killed for sport, just trying to live, animals don't kill for joy, some people think,"well, the lions kill the baby lions sometimes" only if they arent their child/cub, lion males, in order to keep their family in charge, they have to get rid of other males cubs.
This is an issue that I cant stay quiet on, I may be this shy kid in school, but not when animals are being harmed, after all, its their world too. Remember, my hero, and idol, Jane Goodall.
19. Stop mindless Cover versions
Artists are mindlessly butchering songs in the form of cover versions. The time has come to put your foot down and say NO to artists like the Sugababes and Girls Aloud for the most heinous of crimes - the murder of 'walk this way' by Run DMC/Aerosmith and many other great anthems.
Something must be done, artists should either improve the song, which in many cases is difficult, or better still write their own songs or be forced to pay the penalty!
Its a lack of originality and creativity and a lazy way of squeezing money out of the general public.
20. Animal Crultey is not acceptable
There have been too many cases where animal abuse had been done and the accused did not get proper punishment for the crime of hurting an animal.
There should be harder sentences for convicted accused. If there is no hard punishment then people do not learn, these people that are cruel to animals grow up to be murders. This is a proven fact and is not ok in our society!
People should not turn their head or pretend that they did not hear that this is going on. Please you are one person and you can make a difference.

21. Stop gassing animals in North Carolina
A few states still euthanize animals routinely using the gas chamber.
Using the gas chamber is not humane, it is merely a method of mass destruction and torture as seen in Hitler's Germany.
We see it as barbaric, as well as deem it cruel and unusual punishment when executing prisoners. Why then is it humane to execute innocent animals?
Please think about you being in their position and stop this barbaric means of euthanasia in North Carolina.

We the undersigned propose that after a Sexual Offender has finished his or her punishment, the offender should have to wear the Global Positioning Satellite - hereinafter referred to as GPS - for the purpose of knowledge of the offender's whereabouts at all times.
To pay for such an incumberence to taxpayers, we the undersigned propose that the Offender work in an assigned job such as those that many Americans find "undesirable." Maybe even those that illegal immigrants are doing.
This may even help the immigration issue.

Deputies uncover dead, neglected animals

Animal carcasses littered the ground.
Horses were so hungry they were eating their own feces.
Dogs were chained up without food or water.
Authorities discovered the grisly scene this week in rural Grenora and arrested a woman for mistreating animals.
Kim Lester, 41, was released on 10 percent cash to apply toward $2,000 bond Friday on two counts of maltreatment of animals, both Class A misdemeanors.
Lester appeared Friday with her attorney Shane Peterson before Northwest District Judge Gerald Rustad on allegations of mistreatment of numerous horses, livestock and dogs on a farmstead about six miles southwest of Grenora.
According to a report released by the Williams County Sheriff's Office, many of the 84 horses, 50 dogs and 30 birds - turkeys and chickens - were confined to a very small space on the 330 acres of property, and had not received food or water for several days.
Rustad ordered Lester to remove all animals from her property within five days, and to notify law enforcement what is being done with the animals and where they are being placed. She must make arrangements for the animals' proper care.
According Williams County Deputy Verlan Kvande, who headed the investigation, 45 livestock, including horses and cows, were penned into a 50-by-60-foot area, and numerous dogs were staked out throughout the property, chained up without food or water or were confined in small animal carriers in other buildings on the farmstead. The other 40 livestock animals were found in an overgrazed pasture.
"There was one 8-by-10-foot shed with the doors and windows closed that had no ventilation," Kvande said. "It had half a dozen chickens and eight dogs in pet carrier cages. There was a horrendous smell of defecation, urination and chickens. There was no food or water for the dogs. There was some water for the chickens, but it was really moldy .... The smell was overpowering."
After receiving numerous reports about conditions of the farmstead from concerned citizens, authorities investigated and found enough probable cause to obtain a search warrant for the farm site.
"There were complaints of dead animals in the pasture and mistreatment of animals," said Kvande.
Executing the search warrant on Thursday, Williams County Sheriff deputies and North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation agents who investigated the scene reported finding eight horse carcasses and three dog carcasses in a pasture on the property.
Several animals were found to be in a small pen and unable to move around, or placed in small carriers in three structures on the property.
"A veterinarian who accompanied authorities in the investigation confirmed that there was evidence of neglect and malnourishment of the animals, and it was an extended ongoing pattern," said Lt. Earl Innis of the Williams County Sheriff's Office.
Animals also showed signs of possible staff infection, ringworm and sores, said the veterinarian.
Williams County State's Attorney Nicole Foster, who is prosecuting the case, described the farmstead and conditions of the animals a public health hazard.
"The horses were so hungry, they were eating their own feces," said Deputy Verlan Kvande, who headed the probe. "They had automated watering systems, but they had not been turned on."
During the investigation of the property, deputies and law officers tended to the animals, said Innis. They remained on the scene for over three hours.
Lester was also ordered not to board or possess animals while the court case continues, and the court order also includes a search clause of Lester's property that allows authorities to check for other animals.
"To my knowledge, she has made contacts with humane societies around the state to find shelter for the animals," Kvande said.
If convicted, Lester could face a maximum sentence of two years in prison and $4,000 in fines.

Do you believe in an eye for an eye? I sure do.
I think it's wrong that murderers in the world get away with it. Yes some get the death penalty, but comeon? It's the easy way out. It's painless and fast. Why should they get the easy way out when they probly made a person suffer? When they are waiting for the death penalty they get fed better then most of the people in the world.
I think what ever they have done should be done to them, whether it's rape, murder, whatever. They should learn. They should pay for what they have done. It sounds harsh and mean, but it will teach others in the world.
Treat others how you want to be treated.
25. Support Fair Punishment at Argyle Central

On Friday March 31st a student at Argyle Central School made a decision. A fellow student had a doctors appointment. This student had to go to the appointment alone. So said student accompanied her to the appointment. Before he left he contacted two teachers and let them know he was leaving also he collected any work he would miss.
When the student returned he was given two days suspension as punishment. Why, you ask?
Because he had forgotten to sign out. That's all. But the real kicker is that he got the same punishment a student who walked out of school to smoke would get. Does this seem right to you?
In the school handbook it says that there are not flat rate punishments. Each case is to be judged on the students record, age, and all other circumstances.
None of these things are being looked at by the current actions being taken by the school.

Rapist's 60 DAY Prison Sentence Triggers Outrage
Burlington, Vermont -- January 4, 2005
There was outrage Wednesday when a Vermont judge handed out a 60-day jail sentence to a man who raped a little girl many, many times over a four-year span starting when she was seven.
The judge said he no longer believes in punishment and is more concerned about rehabilitation.
Prosecutors argued that confessed child-rapist Mark Hulett, 34, of Williston deserved at least eight years behind bars for repeatedly raping a littler girl countless times starting when she was seven.
But Judge Edward Cashman disagreed explaining that he no longer believes that punishment works.
"The one message I want to get through is that anger doesn't solve anything. It just corrodes your soul," said Judge Edward Cashman speaking to a packed Burlington courtroom. Most of the on-lookers were related to a young girl who was repeatedly raped by Mark Hulett who was in court to be sentenced.
The sex abuse started when the girl was seven and ended when she was ten. Prosecutors were seeking a sentence of eight to twenty years in prison, in part, as punishment.
"Punishment is a valid purpose," Chittenden Deputy Prosecutor Nicole Andreson argued to Judge Edward Cashman.
"The state recognizes that the court may not agree or subscribe to that method of sentencing but the state does. The state thinks that it is a very important factor for the court to consider," Andreson added.
But Judge Cashman explained that he is more concerned that Hulett receive sex offender treatment as rehabilitation. But under Department of Corrections classification, Hulett is considered a low-risk for re-offense so he does not qualify for in-prison treatment. So the judge sentenced him to just 60 days in prison and then Hulett must complete sex treatment when he gets out or face a possible life sentence.
Judge Cashman also also revealed that he once handed down stiff sentences when he first got on the bench 25 years ago, but he no longer believes in punishment.
"I discovered it accomplishes nothing of value;it doesn't make anything better;it costs us a lot of money; we create a lot of expectation, and we feed on anger," Cashman explained to the people in the court.
The sentence outraged the victim's family who asked not to be identified.
"I don't like it," the victim's mother,in tears, told Channel 3. "He should pay for what he did to my baby and stop it here. She's not even home with me and he can be home for all this time, and do what he did in my house," she added.
Hulett -- who had been out on bail-- was taken away to start his sentence immediately.
After issuing the original sentence, Cashman was attacked by commentators on TV and on the Internet. On Fox News, Bill O'Reilly told viewers as video of Cashman rolled: "You may be looking at the worst judge in the USA." Gov. James Douglas called on the judge to resign, and several lawmakers demanded his impeachment.

John Lennon Human Rights Memorial Tribute for Prisoner Rights and fair objective consideration.
Being that one of the few people in the world who has been introduced to John Lennon, and then later also meeting Mark David Chapman, and have had for a long time had a memorial to John Lennon online I have strong interest in anything related to both.
Upon reading the petition to keep Mark David Chapman off of parole, and in prison/s that are called correctional institutions I thought it was bizarre and a travesty that John Lennon's name was invoked in the manner it was against Mark David Chapman, considering that John was such a strong avid believer of civil, human, Native American, and prisoner etc rights.
WHEREAS Imagining John Winston Lennon developing as the rough young man who some would of once considered a roughneck greaser hoodlum punk, into a decent loving husband, peace loving father and enlightened person he was distinguished from the person he was once thought of early in life:
WHEREAS the land of John Lennon's England and Wales, ended capital punishment ended in 1965, has taken a view that differs from the punitive one in America we as enlightening people like Mr. Lennon must consider that in regard to the punishment of Mark David Chapman who had been sentenced to 20 years to life in prison for his murder of John Lennon upon confession to the bizarre crime.
WHEREAS incarceration in the instance of Mark David Chapman's should serve as punishment for some rehabilitative corrective purpose, not a punitive one in retribution that defined ultimately as cruel and unusual punishment that is forbidden under the US constitution prohibition of cruel and unusual punishment.
WHEREAS we take notice that Mr. Lennon of beloved memory had made numerous efforts in support of justice, peace, freedom as a progressive person; and,
WHEREAS, in this instance we would think it is bizarre to have John Lennon remembered as the pretext for reactionary actions that seem to go against everything Mr. Lennon believed; and
WHEREAS, being that already since incarceration December 8, 1980, Mark David Chapman has served twenty-five years, and now has been eligible for parole for approximately five years, and has been turned down twice for parole, we petition as follows:
28. Bring in an eye for eye punishment for animal cruelty in the UK
It's great that the government is finally getting around to increasing the punishment for animal cruelty, but the new proposed maximum punishments are still inadequate (the idea is that the maximum gaol sentence should be increased from 6 to 12 months, the maximum fine will go up from £5000 to $20,000 and people who are found guilty of animal cruelty would recieve life bans on keeping animals).
I am in favour of bringing in an eye for eye punishment for everyone who is guilty of animal cruelty. That way, the offender will be punished according to how much they made the animal suffer (which I would say is fair enough considering how little need there is for animal cruelty).

Enforce the Death Penalty
To Strongly Support means you believe: An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth, a life for a life. The death penalty is appropriate punishment for murder, as a form of justice regardless of the deterrence effect.
Support means you believe: The death penalty and other strict forms of law enforcement will reduce the crime rate by removing criminals from the streets and by deterring others from criminal acts. Capital punishment laws should be enforced.
Capital punishment is effective. No one has proven a "wrongful death" in any modern state executions. Stricter penalties reduce violent crime.
We keep building new prisons. Why don't we get rid of the criminals that don't value a persons life? Get rid of the ones that rape and kill our innocent children. Get rid of the criminal that can rape and kill an elderly woman. Get rid of the criminal that can kill an innocent store clerk. Let's teach the new generation, killing is a definite death penalty.
Why do they live better than some of our other hard working Americans? I am tired of supporting these convicted child and adult killers. Are we supporting them for the pain they have caused those that have lost loved ones?
Now we have kids killing kids. Is our society letting them think it is okay? If we start the Death Penalty now, we can keep some kids from going into crime.
I say enforce the death penalty. Put the criminals where they have put the innocent victims. It is time to take a stand. Wake our system up.
AN EYE FOR AN EYE.
30. Change in Dress Code - Early ISD
This petition was put together to hopefully change the dress code of Early ISD to insure comfort and individuality of students. When the students are comfortable in school they tend to do better and feel better.
With the current dress code, many students of Early are getting punished for absurd reasons. Specifics in the dress code are: Length of boys hair (if girls hair can be as long as they want why not guys?). Backpacks not being allowed (punishment for wearing "messenger bags" to transport books from class to class). Extreme hairstyles (live a little - punishment for not having 'Extreme' hairstyles but being told you do).
