1. Mandatory Outside Video Surveillance at Service Stations Nationwide
Greggory Savelio, a senior at Westwood College, was on his way to work on August 22nd 2009 at approximately 5:30 pm when he stopped to pump gas in Dekalb County at the Chevron gas station located at 2450 Candler Road, Decatur, Georgia. A man approached Gregg in a robbery attempt and he was shot and killed. The gas station did not have any outside surveillance cameras so the perpetrator was able to flee the scene. The killer later committed the same act with another innocent victim at a different gas station, but was eventually caught because this location did have outside surveillance cameras on property.
The Chevron did not have outside video surveillance at the pumps where Gregg was robbed and shot, and we believe if there had been a camera in place this would have helped find Gregg’s killers immediately, and possibly even deterred Gregg’s killers from targeting him. One of Gregg’s killers was apprehended but unfortunately, due to the fact that he was not apprehended immediately he was able to flee and commit another robbery and murder another man less than a month later in Richmond County Georgia.
Gregg’s murder was committed in broad daylight and had there been outside surveillance (of quality nature) Gregg’s killers would have likely been identified and arrested immediately.
Noticeable outside video surveillance at gas pumps would deter criminals from targeting patrons, and in the event a crime is committed, the surveillance would help the investigation in apprehending the criminal(s).
2. Support Downtown San Clemente and the Mixed Use Project
Based on the existing property rights of the parcel located at 115 N. El Camino Real, the project’s design merit and because of the numerous public benefits that the project will create, the project should be approved.
3. Warrington Omega Youth Project
We are trying to create a youth project to consist of a skate/bike park, hand ball court basket ball court and hand ball court.
There will also be an area for the youngsters to relax and socialize it will need to be a covered area and would have a WiFi access point.
4. No to Lowcome Housing Project, Yonge Street Richmond Hill
The Town of Richmond Hill and York Region and Pathways are attempting to build a Low Income High Density Housing Project in the Village Area of Richmond Hill coupled with youth and Transitional Housing right in the Village of Richmond Hill.
This is not good for the town and not good for the village of Richmond Hill and the people of the ward. This land can be put to better use and drive revenue to the area by bringing in the right shops and people that can support the shops and established business in the area.
How can a high density neighborhood of low income and transitional people bring any benefit for the unlimited time it will be there?
Its not fair that you threw the Senior Project on us our Junior Year. Some of us have jobs we work to make a living.
We don't have time for 20 service hours with a mentor. Some of us go to school for 8 hours, and then go straight to work for 7-8 hours, and don't get home until close to midnight. When do we have time for Senior Project?
I would say we could quit our jobs that we have been working at for years, but we cant do that if we are trying to pay bills, and make a living!
I just think that they should of started it for the starting class of Freshman that come in, so they have time to plan, and wont have jobs, and stuff to worry about.
Plus, we don't have money to just throw out for a project. I really don't want to throw $100 out for a grade, PLUS all our senior class fees. It's ridiculous. Sure its a good idea for an assignment, but you cant throw it on us and expect us to change everything about our lives just to pass English 4, I cant guarantee that the drop out, and failing rate is going to sky rocket.
Just simply take it away and give it to the class of 2015, and tell them now, so they know what to expect. You've already changed enough for the class of 2012.
6. Send long term unemployed to rebuild disaster affected areas
In the wake of the recent natural disasters around Australia, we have been inspired to “do something” about it. After researching the statistics on Centrelink’s website about the long term unemployed jobseekers received benefits, we have decided to use these figures as a basis for calculating what can be done.
As at December 2010 there were 155479 long term unemployed jobseekers in receipt of government benefits most of which are males residing in NSW followed closely by VIC. It’s a simplistic view to write these people off as “lazy”, “dole bludgers”, “unproductive citizens”. Perhaps in some cases this is true but for many it’s more complex than that, some have feelings of low self esteem and believe they have nothing to contribute.
Much compassion is needed for these people, most of us have experienced the lousy feelings of worthlessness stemming from periods of unemployment; it’s not something most of us would choose but after spending some time in that trapped feeling it can be hard to know how to break out. We at Hands and Hearts community assist program believe, like most Australians that everybody deserves a fair go which is why we have decided to launch this project to make use of the “spare hands” in the country and put them to work in areas of community that need rebuilding and other assistance, particularly government declared disaster zones. This project will be a challenge, particularly logistically which is why we will be looking into the possibilities of transport and accommodation sponsorship.
7. No to 100-Storey Warisan Merdeka Project
100-Storey Warisan Merdeka Tower worth of MYR 5billion announced by Prime Minister Najib Razak is unacceptable. The so-called economic-boost project which may generate business opportunities for all is unnecessary while the rest of Malaysians still need better education quality, health care system, better road and telecommunication system especially in rural areas, zero-corruption administration, better wages in coping with high living standard and equal opportunity employment especially in government sector.
We are not against the economic development but we are against the public waste of money. We should ask ourselves, is this what the people need or this project merely symbolizes government supremacism? Think wisely.
8. Support the Project of the Mine-School for First Nations, in Duparquet, Province of Quebec

As you know, the key sectors of the economy of the Abitibi-Timiscaming region and of the North of Quebec are the forest industries and the mines.
It is time for us, the People of the First Nations, to develop our expertise in the field of the mineral resources which exist in our areas. While using and by developing the potential of our communities and also by privileging the Vocational Training of our own manpower, we will be able to effectively develop this sector at our profit.
There is at present a new project which will be able to create permanent jobs for the people of our communities. For this purpose, the opening of a Mine-school in the sector of Duparquet for the training in a mining enterprise and the training courses in a working environment for all "Indians, Mongrels and Inuits” which reside in reserve and out-reserve, to help them to complement their training, to acquire experience and all the competences necessary.
Courses for miner of extraction, operator of equipments for the treatment of ores, diamond drilling, driver of loader and underground truck, prospector, and others.
Experienced teachers and highly skilled workers will be necessary. A priority will be granted to the local manpower which is very well qualified.
Many varied employment opportunities will be thus created for men and women of the First Nations, in addition to the related jobs in construction, tourism, mining exploration, machining, welding and many others, while supporting the economic expansion of the Abitibi-Timiscaming region.
The Mine-School will respect the highest standards in safety in the mines and will use processes which respect the most strict environmental standards.
The mine is underground and the impact on the surface is minimal. In the mine and in the mill, water is used in closed circuit. After use, all water is recovered in a large tank, then filtered and re-used again. The residues of finely crushed rocks which are recovered at the end of the ore processing, are mix-in with cement and sterile rocks and all this is returned underground where the ores were extracted to fill these open spaces and solidify the mine.
The health, the safety and the respect of our environment are our top priorities.
This project is very important for the First Nations communities and for the development of our Region.
We invite every individual, from any ethnic group, who believes that this project is good, to support us by signing your name at the bottom of this petition. Your gesture is greatly appreciated.
Important: Your email address will never be shown at the bottom of the petition after signing and will always be kept confidential.

9. Extend UWE computing project hand in
Students on computing courses are being treated unfairly with regard to hand in dates. Students on other courses have until after Easter to hand in their dissertations - WHY DON'T WE?! Especially when we not only have to write over 10,000 words, but produce a software program AS WELL!
10. Support the Puente Project
The Puente Project is an academic preparation program that for more than 25 years has improved the college-going rate of tens of thousands of California's educationally disadvantaged students. Its mission is to increase the number of educationally disadvantaged students who:
•Enroll in four-year colleges and universities
•Earn college degrees
•Return to the community as mentors and leaders of future generations.
We, the residents of Cassia County are strongly opposed to the proposed corridor of the Gateway West Project through private property.
We feel it should be placed on as much public ground as possible to protect our families, our homes, and our businesses.
We should not have to submit ourselves to undo risks when there are other alternatives. We support our county commissioners in routing the project through public grounds.
12. Petition to revive Tiberium FPS
The simple fact is that just by watching some of the content of Tiberium most people think it's awesome and are eager to get this game.
The senior project does nothing for us, it is a waste of time, and it is wrong to know that you can pass every class, and do well in school, but if you fail the project you fail your senior year. It isn't fair at all, and we shouldn't have to do it.
14. Build Roadrunner Park (Canyon De Flores Park)
• The Canyon De Flores community is long over due for a park we can all enjoy.
• The preliminary talks between the city and the school district need to be accelerated.
• The Land has already been set aside for a park southeast of the St Andrews Bridge.
• The land has also been identified in the city plan for years now. We as residents want to know what exactly is going on.
15. Prevent further measures to stop through traffic passing through Hawkinge Village Centre
There are elements of the Canterbury Road Project, that include plans to (despite the existing bypass) actively discourage through traffic coming into the main Village Centre.
The local shops and Businesses have already suffered due to the bypass - through traffic means passing trade - and it is very likely if the junction priority change at Aerodrome Road, the traffic light priority changes and any other measures to reduce traffic volume and encourage everyone to use the bypass, that at least some of the Businesses may suffer, or indeed close down.
Then there will be no Village Centre to speak of.
Width restrictions, or weight restrictions would be a simple measure to discourage the HGV's. Traffic calming measures would be welcomed.
16. Planet Earth and the U.N. belongs to God!
As an international consultant for entrepreneurial and social development, with more than 20 years of expertise; I had the opportunity to formulate for the European Commission (EC/UE), a innovative project to foster competitiveness of micro and small enterprises in El Salvador, which is now underway.
The UE spirit to finance that project is to support entrepreneurs to reach economic sustainability, prosperity, and a satisfactory life quality, in order to contribute for an integral development in our nation, that will lead us to a global market niche. And the ultimate goal of that visionary spirit is to build a world with equity and more opportunities to live.
A very important area of my expertise has been gained from international training and projects implementation; and one of the most important learnings I was in Taiwan, Republic of China; a nation with kind and laborious people, innovative mind, loyal heart, and with a sound spirit of entrepreneurship and firm beliefs.
Now, back to the spirit of that project I formulated for the EU; a guessing thought arise in my mind: Why we in the world pretend to develop our countries excluding other nations from the international politic, social, and economic scenario?. Something wrong is in the mind of leaders who decide to act in that way. And that misunderstanding, comes from their heart, because they forget God, the only one owner of this planet, the only governor above all nations.
God wants all the humankind to be his truly sons and daughters, and for that purpose He will remove any obstacles; including those ones who deny Taiwan, Republic of China as a member of the United Nations organization.
Progress can not be built excluding others. World sustainability can not be built on foundations of political ego and unreasonable decisions about the human rights of others.
17. South Seventh Street Construction Staging Site in Ann Arbor, MI
The City of Ann Arbor has granted a parking permit to Sanita's Construction Co. of Clarkston, MI to use the court at the end of South Seventh Street to stage a construction site.
There are numerous large construction vehicles stored there daily in addition to piles of stone, sand and dirt and a portable toilet, which is not fenced in. The construction equipment is used for the footing drain disconnection in the Morehead/ Churchill area. This project has been in process for five months.
The court is in a residential area and is next to a public playground. The playground and park are also a major traffic area for children from the Northbrook area to go to and from school. This is a very dangerous situation for the students walking past the site. The vehicles drive at too high a rate of speed to be able to stop quickly in case of an emergency.
The constant noise and traffic has been excessive on S. Seventh, Morehead and Delaware Street, although the work is now in the Churchill Downs subdivision. There are several courts over in that area that would accommodate the equipment
18. Protect RaoGhat Hills and the Mystical Tribals of Narainpur in Bastar District, Chhattisgarh
Raoghat needs to be protected if we have to save planet earth.
One of the Newpaper today stated that a MOU to plunder the Raoghat Hills will be signed at Delhi on 6th August,2007.
If at all this projects comes up it will be doomsday to the beautiful flaura and fauna and the rich culture and traditions of the Indigenous people residing in Bastar.
On 3rd july 2007 the Business Community of Narainpur District in North Bastar called for a "Bund"(closure) .The reason was the fight between the Business Communities of Narainpur and Antagarh District for the ownership of Raoghat Township once the Raoghat mines start.
This looks like a well planned conspiracy to divert the mind of the people from the real issues surrounding the RaoGhat Mines and the Rail Project. Is it because this project was rejected in the nineties by the Enviroment and Forest Ministry? Why the State Government feels that now when there is a worlwide concern to save Environment that they will get clearance from the Ministry?
Why are the sentiments of the Indigenous people being completely ignored?
Has anyone bothered to find out about the name "Rao Ghat"?According to the local belief Rao Ghat is home too the Creator of this world Lord "Raja Rao Natraj" and Goddess "Mata Maoli"(sister of Maa Danteshwari) and their family.
Not only the local people come here to worship daily but also they gather in large numbers throughout the year and take out "Jatra"(procession) of the God and Godess.Even lot of foreign tourist come here to enjoy the wonderful eco-system present at Rao Ghat.
So any mining at RaoGhat will be like destroying the God and Goddess of the Tribals thus will come under the SC/ST Atrocities Act of the Constitution of India.
Is the State Government planning a revolt by the Indigenous people so that they can kill and displace more tribals as they have been doing since the start of Salwa Judum??
Just because "Dalli Rajhara" mines are over Bhilai Steel plant now wants "Rao Ghat" mines. What will happen once the "Rao Ghat" mines are also exhausted?
Is it really the BSP which wants the mines or they are playing in the hands of Tata,Essar,Jindal and other Sponge Iron Units of Chhattisgarh? Afterall the "Bailadilla" mines in Dantewada District which belongs to the NMDC is now being allotted to the likes of Tata Steel,Essar Steel and other mining companies?
In the days of Global Warming,Tsunami and Weather Change do we really need to destroy the most beautiful and amazing eco-system still existing in RaoGhat?
Is BSP playing in the hands of Tata and Essar Steel?
Are we not worried that our future generation won't have fresh air to breathe or will there be a future generations at all???
The Locals in Raoghat area have strong belief in their God and Goddess and they feel that if RaoGhat is disturbed it will bring an end to the human race.
Is the State Government and the Government at the Center listening?May be the State Government and the Business Community for once should think about what they are leaving for the future generations and not their immediate gains....
As per the provisions of the Constitution of India, the resolve of the village council is supreme in Bastar District. No body can play with the resolve of the tribal village council. However, contrary to those provisions, state government is acting as the agent of the private industrial houses, did not bothered to educate the tribals about the importance of public hearing at a village council to manage the favorable resolve of the village council.
19. Let’s SAVE Jackie Chan and Jet Li Project
ENGLISH:
“The Forbidden Kingdom”, the movie which has Jackie Chan and Jet Li to play together after years of demands from fans all around the world and after so many problems caused by the difficulty to find a good and worth plot, is now being filmed.
In order to realize the plan called previously “The J&J Project”, they aimed at the best and at last director Zhang Yimou was chosen (1: http://www.monkeypeaches.com/0508M.html 2: http://www.rottentomatoes.com/news/comments/?entryid=230819).
Later on Yimou dropped the assignement because he said: “Only Jackie Chan can make a Jackie Chan Movie”, so Peter Jackson was supposed to take his place.
Well...they dropped this idea too and chosen at last director Rob Minkoff (“Stuart Little”).
We think he is not a bad director, but HE IS FOR SURE NOT GOOD TO DIRECT A MOVIE LIKE THIS.
Only an oriental production team can handle this kind of movie, with its traditions, its methods, its directors and its way of doing things, but not Rob Minkoff, who has not enough technique and experience on the set about directing oriental action movies and action sequences.
The plot moreover is completely different from the first previews: the story written by John Fusco was previously announced as an “Epic/Action Movie”, but now it turned in a “Family Movie” with SOME action scene.
And the worst part is that Jackie Chan and Jet Li are not the protagonists!!! They have important parts: Sha Monk (Jackie Chan) and Monkey King/Lan Cai He (Jet Li), BUT Michael Angarano, a young american actor, will be the protagonist!
He will be an adolescent American obsessed from kung who find himself in tha Ancient China and joins a group of martial arts masters in order to free Monkey King.
There are no words to comment.
_________
ITALIANO
Primary Project was started at West Canada over 20 years ago to help students develope positive self images, establish appropriate social skills, and reduce behaviors that interfere with there learning.
This program is a one on one learning enviroment that enables children increase each of these goals.
21. Deny Curative Amendment Request: Cali Entertainment
Cumberland Township is being forced through Pennsylvania Law (Landowner Curative Amendment) to entertain an application to cure our zoning laws of an omission of the term "water park" on behalf of Cali Entertainment, Mechanicsburg PA. Cali Entertainment wants to purchase land, develop a "mixed used facility" including a hotel/theater/indoor out door water park and condominium space/retail space. The land in question, 96.7 acres of privately owned parcels is located at the intersection of Business 15 & Cunningham Road, Gettysburg, PA.
Cumberland Township residents, Freedom Township residents/businesses in the impact area were invited by certified letter to attend a special April 17th 2007 Curative Amendment Application Hearing at the Cumberland Township Offices, Fairfield Road. The residents in attendance who expressed opinion did so overwhelmingly against this curative amendment application and in fact against this project as a whole. The residents were not expecting such a high density development with multiple and ongoing demands of water and septic when the area was rezoned 3 years previous. Additionally, the size of the facility and it's components remove every spectre of real nature and wipes forever the serene bucolic quiet views. This facility will operate days, nights, weekends and all season long.
The attendees were informed that there is no public referendum required or permitted to deny this application at the outset. The Township soliciter advised that current PA law permits for only acceptance of curative amendments - there is no denial in a direct sense. They have to approve it and take the time and money to research what changes need to be made to the plan to make it happen.
Cumberland and Fairfield Township residents have grave concerns regarding the consequences of such a project from water use of this facility: not only the pools proposed but the regular commercial use. This project presents a bevy of environmental concerns from loss of habitat for native creatures, loss of greenspaces (note: handy landscaping does NOT replace greenspaces) to increased noise pollution from traffic, congestion on this road as there is no possible way this can go in without a traffic light; light intrusion from the facility, visual intrusion of this facility the folks who have to face this compound.
The plans as originally stated call for 85% impervious coverage which nearly doubles the current standards in the township of no greater than 45%.
In adequate EMS support in terms of manpower and equipment and water resources is a huge safety issue.
In this particular case harm comes to not only the quality of life for Cumberland Township residents but Freedom Township residents in the immediate impact area. Given the two townships being governed by separate entities and the final say being in the hands of Cumberland Township, the rights of those in Freedom Township appear to be swept under the rug as their supervisors have left them alone with their issues with no hope of support or protection.
We the undersigned are resolved that future problems resulting from approval of this curative amendement will be caused by a flurry of land speculation and rampant residential development. This will cause an influx of more residents to an area that will be woefully unprepared for their immediate and future needs, including but not limited to water, septic, educational, emergency/medical and professional services. The loss of greenspace and the further flushing of our wildlife from rural areas will also be devastating.
We also believe that despite the thousands of dollars and time spent rezoning the area over 3 years ago were not adequate to meet the savvy methods of developers/builders of this era.
22. Да спасим един от символите на София / Save a great Sofia city symbol

SAVE ONE OF SOFIA CITY’S SYMBOLS, THREATENED BY A LEGAL CRIME
THE BEAUTIFUL “ALEXANDER NEVSKY” SQUARE IN SOFIA, BULGARIA, IS IN DANGER!
The corruption that spreads all over our society has eventually struck the cultural and art spheres in Bulgaria. Now only civic courage is capable of stopping it. The recently approved project for a new “modern” building of the National Academy of Arts will totally destroy the sacred architectural harmony in the area. Additionally, the signed contract is a violation of Bulgarian laws.
Other consequences:
The 104-year old historical building of the academy will be condemned
Lots of ancient archeological artifacts will be obliterated during the construction of underground garages for over 500 cars. Heavy traffic jams will follow. The beautiful old garden in the academy yard will disappear.

23. Justin Timberlake To Be Dropped From Jive
Justin Timberlake is a complete douche. He has recently often potrayed himself as the only reason why the Grammy's and Kid's Choice Awards for examples were hits because of him and having his name on the project.
He is always hating on Britney Spears even though they broke up so long ago he still bags her, sings about her and is a n00b to her. This petition is to get Justin dropped from Jive so this n00b can go away.
Atlantic Yards is one of the newest projects in Brooklyn. Looming over the MTA and LIRR's Vanderbuilt rail yards, it is one of the most constructive projects to be done this decade according to atlantic yard.com.
The project of Atlantic Yards' surrounding perimeter is Flatbush avenue, Pacific street, Dean Street, and Vanderbuilt avenue. Which is in the area of Downtown Brooklyn . Atlantic Yards is a 4.2 billion dollar project that includes a sports and entertainment arena that will be home to the basketball team the nets, new buildings for commercial and office space, open space, and a hotel.
Atlantic Yards will solve the problems of insufficient buildings and housing. There is just not enough residential space, such as apartments in downtown Brooklyn. The apartments that do exist have several setbacks such as bad plumbing and heating, broken ceilings cracked walls, and broken windows. New buildings are desperately needed. The unemployment rate is high due to a lack of bussiness in retail according to the "Brooklyn Market Review of Spring 2006", recent developments have been steadily improving Downtown Brooklyn's economy.
The Atlantic Yards project will bring a multitude of economic activity, that will provide many jobs for Downtown Brooklyn. One of the two main sources that will bring jobs into the area are the construction projects and the new NETSb arena.
The four Atlantic Yards communities are seperated by the railyards. The railyards prevents citizens from easily going from one community to the other. The Atlantic Yards project solves this problem by connecting the communities by turning most of the railyards into open- space. Atlantic yards is a project that will create more jobs, set up affordable housing and build new buildings.
The solution to downtown Brooklyn's problems is the Atlantic Yards project. The Atlantic Yards project will create 6,860 homes of mixed income. Of which 4,500 will be rental units. Half of these will be put aside for middle and low income families. This will solve the problem of high rent and lack of housing for people in the Atlantic Yards area. Due to the construction on the Atlantic Yards project new construction job oppurtunities will be available. Forest City Ratner ( an urban real estate company , the head of Atlantic Yards) has promised minority and women owned companies will be the prioritry for hire.
The Construction of Atlantic Yards will create enough jobs to last for ten years. In addition to creating new jobs, Atlantic Yards which will be built over the rail yards will connect the four existing Brooklyn Communities and provide new open space. The new development Atlantic Yards will be a great happenning. Downtown Brooklyn will look cleaner ( without any of the new Brooklyn Buildings that were cracked or broken) and more organized. Building the Nets arena will cause another subway opening , which leads directly to ten subway lines and the LIRR, which will reduce traffic. Also the Atlantic Yards project will fit in nicely with the skyline of existing communities. The economic benefits of the project are 6 billion dollars in tax revenue, new jobs, and greater oppurtunity for bussiness to thrive according to Atlantic Yards .com. Atlantic Yards, by creating millions of jobs, bringing in an arena, putting out plenty of affordable homes, and bringing in revenue will be, according to sports economist andrew Zimbalist Brooklyn's greatest " economic generator".
25. Request to build and open Middle School at Slaughter and 1826 by Aug 2008
Parents who are petitioning to have the new middle school slated to be built on the corner of Slaughter Lane and 1826 put on the drawing board to be completed and opened for the 2008 school year.
There is no reason to delay this project, as the land is already designated and approved, the bond is approved and the number of students would already fill the school to near or at capacity.
May 15, 2006
On the 15th of May 2006, Enrique Gonzales stated that only he will continue to work on The Crosswalk, an animated short in the works since June 2005.
Our goal is to persuade Enrique to keep the project open for everyone to help.

28. In Favor of Pleasant Meadows Transient Project on Oxbow Rd, Milford NY
January 04, 2006
This Petition is in favor of the Pleasant Meadows Transient project on Oxbow Rd in the Town Of Milford, NY. New modular homes with foundations will be built on this site to house the weekly tourists who are visiting the area for The Cooperstown Dreams Park.
The Dreams Park is only open for 10 weeks & so will be the Pleasant Meadows Mobile Home Park. These homes will only be available during the summer season which will not cause an increase in taxes as student enrollment will not increase. The property owner will be paying taxes in such as school, county, land, ect. Which will be a winning situation for Milford Taxpayers!
This property will be upgraded with new landscaping, appropriate lighting & attractive new homes. This project will have new jobs available, including construction, full time management cleaners & maintenance workers.
This property will only provide housing for weekly tourists who are visiting the area for The Cooperstown Dreams Park.
The other alternative for this property is a PERMANENT Trailer Park. Honestly 10 weeks worth of non-permanent tourists sounds better than PERMANENT residents which will cause an increase in taxes & traffic.
Please sign in favor of the Pleasant Meadows Transient Permit Project, Thank You.
29. Class of 2006 Senior Gift Scholarship
This petition was created in protest of the Class of 2006 Senior Gift Scholarship, which won second place to that of Root Glen extension.
The Root Glen extension rightfully won the popular vote and should therefore be pursued.
30. Trashcan Ejection in Nautilus
Alexander Larsson, maintainer of the Nautilus software project, is rejecting the trashcan ejection functionality known from your iMac for no obvious reason. Note that there is a statement from Alex available, explaining why he rejected this request:
http://mail.gnome.org/archives/nautilus-list/2005-July/msg00159.html
We're convinced that these points are not valid, because instead of displaying an error dialog, the obvious intention of the user could have succeeded in the first place.
We're asking him to include this feature into Nautilus, since every other mean of communication (bugzilla, mailing list) failed.
