The NBA is set to cash in on the opportunity to place advertisements on the jerseys of NBA players, what does this mean for the fans?
Will we accept that the NBA is at its core a medium to rake in profit? Shouldn't WE stand firm with the tradition and history the jerseys represent?
The current size proposed is 2.5 inch by 2.5 inch, but what restricts the NBA from allowing an even larger percentage of the jersey to be covered. Keep the jerseys clean and respectful!
Dear NFL Owners/Players:
We, the fans of the National Football League (NFL), are demanding that the pending NFL Lockout come to an immediate END. As fans, we are disappointed that you have taken America's favorite sport and turned it into a NASTY business! Football Sundays mean tailgate parties, screaming at the refs, wearing our favorite jersey(s), and most of importantly; it means FAMILY. For generations, people have passed on their love for a team from their grandparents, parents and even down to their own kids.
In 2011, we want to continue to go to the stadium, to the couch or to our favorite sports bar to watch our favorite tams win the game!
3. Zynga: Unban Yoville Players Banned for Mystery Deal Glitch
Around the beginning of September, 2010, players of Zynga's Yoville discovered a glitch involving Mystery Deals which players could send to their friends through social networking site, Facebook.
The glitch allowed players to click more than once, sometimes up to thousands of times on one offer. Players would use this method to build up millions of coins or hundreds to thousands of yocash (an in-game form of revenue that players must pay real money to gain.)
Yocash was one of the biggest temptations for players to turn to this glitch, as our baffled economies combined with the fact that lately in Yoville, a player cannot buy a bed, couch, toilet, hairstyle or hat without the use of yocash.
4. Putting a Stop to Cyber Abuse on Fashion Battle - Sorority City Diva Life
The reason for this petition is simple and clear. Since the rise of Donna Walsh and Nerida Fletcher in your aplication game "Fashion Battle" Many players have been experiencing SEVERE abuse at the hands of these two.
Gaming abuse within the app as well as personal racist attacks have been made. What we are asking for is a good FAIR gaming environment. All of us signing this petition today are serious gamers who truly enjoy our apps. The one u have created with "Fasion Battle" we felt was one of the best to come along in long time so we didnt mind spending Real Money for a good gaming experience. But even buying enough glam to outfit all of our posse could not have prpared us for the meanspirited cyber bulling we have been subjected to at the hands of these two bad sports.
We ask that u please review our evidence. We feel that once u see it for yourself, you will agree that something must be done immediately to control the situation at hand. A suggestion may be that u cannot fight anyone who is not within 2 or 3 lvls of yourself ubless u are in the tabloids. Regrettably, If this matter is not tended too immediately we may all have to leave and take our business and friends with elsewhere.

5. Kathi McDonald Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
Kathi McDonald's landed the vocalist her first big professional gig when she was attending a concert and joined in as part of the audience. McDonald's powerful voice drew Ike Turner's notice in a club called the Winterland, and he invited the aspiring singer to his and Tina Turner's next rehearsal. McDonald had snagged a ...spot in the Ikettes, the Turners' backing group. It was a heady and magical beginning for someone who never had any formal lessons.
Born in Washington state in 1948, McDonald performed professionally for the first time around Seattle when she was 12 years old. At the age of 19 she set off for San Francisco and its burgeoning musical climate, where she met the Turners and, through her association with them, took the first step on a career path that would span more than four decades.
Not long after the evening at Winterland, her talent caught the attention of Big Brother & the Holding Company's Sam Andrew. McDonald threw her lot in with the band in 1969, leading to appearances on the albums Can't Go Home Again, How Hard It Is, and Be a Brother. She went on to sing with Mad Dogs & Englishmen for Joe Cocker, and later sang with Leon Russell's Shelter People. Her session work included recordings for such artists as the Rolling Stones, Nils Lofgren, Rita Coolidge, Delaney & Bonnie, and Dave Mason. Her work for other musical artists totals up to appearances on almost 160 albums, more than six dozen of which achieved gold status. In addition, McDonald also launched a solo career in 1974 with the release of the album Insane Asylum. The recording was arranged by Pete Sears, whose formal band associations include Hot Tuna and Jefferson Starship.
Insane Asylum featured performances by Tower of Power, the Pointer Sisters, Aynsley Dunbar, John Cippolina, Neil Schon, and Ronnie Montrose. Kathi did not release another solo effort for 20 years, when Save Your Breath appeared. Above and Beyond followed in 1999, featuring contributions from Lee Oskar on harmonica and Brian Auger on keyboards. McDonald devoted more than two decades to recording and performing in collaboration with Long John Baldry, and the duo scored with their version of "You've Lost That Loving Feeling" when it was released in Canada. The song reached number 2 in Australia and also made the US charts.
Aside from collaborative efforts Kathi has solo projects of her own: Insane Asylum(1974), David Briggs, producer of the second Alice Cooper album Easy Action and multiple early Neil Young discs is at the helm on Insane Asylum. With arrangements by The Jefferson Starship's Pete Sears, whose formal band associations include Hot Tuna this is a showcase for the chops and musicianship of McDonald. There's a terrific reading of the Bee Gees' "To Love Somebody" and an interesting first track co-written by McDonald and Pete Sears, "Bogart to Bowie," with Nils Lofgren on guitar and Bobbye Hall on percussion. The photos of McDonald on the back cover are chaotic and beautiful, a cartoon caricature of these adorns the cover, the illustration by Seiko Kashihara. With Ronnie Montrose on guitar and Pete Sears on keys for a heavy version of "(Love Is Like A) Heatwave," you basically have Big Brother & the Holding Company/ Montrose/Jefferson Starship covering Martha & the Vandellas. With what may be the best performance on the disc, "Threw Away My Love," the second Sears/McDonald original, Kathi's great, bluesy vocal fights and Journey's Neil Schon on guitar give the track tons of soul! "Freak Lover" features the late Starship violinist Papa John Creach and is appropriately manic for an album about insanity.
Willie Dixon's composition, "Insane Asylum," with Pete Sears and Nils Lofgren, is a blues workout deluxe. Neil Schon and Pete Sears accompany Kathi on a Peter Frampton tune, "All I Want to Be." Lofgren and Sears do a heavy cover of Neil Young's "Down to the Wire" for the singer to display her wonderful voice. There is an abundance of talent here, creating a nice platform for this important singer. Insane Asylum also featured performances by Tower of Power, the Pointer Sisters, Aynsley Dunbar, John Cippolina.
Her next solo project was Save Your Breath (1994), then Above And Beyond (1999) featuring contributions from Lee Oskar on harmonica and Brian Auger on keyboards. She reunited with Big Brother & the Holding Company in California for a concert on New Years Eve, 1997.
Her self-titled Kathi McDonald (2005) is a triumph in a long and prestigious career. This CD showcases the still incredible voice, timing, soulful delivery, and talent that is Kathi McDonald, the musician's choice as singer, the musician's musician, and still the biggest little white girl to ever sing the blues coming out of the West Coast. The main forces behind the CD, Pete Slauson and Ann Pierson (partners for years in the nineties at 2B1 Music, Maritime Hall, San Francisco, CA).

8. PHS Varsity Soccer Players for Democratically Choosing Their Own Student-Leaders
In the past, undue influence and duress has been exerted upon the Coach(es) of PHS Soccer in naming certain players as "Captains" to the PHS Soccer Team at the deprivation of more worthy student-athletes and to the detriment of the team.
This environment whereby cronyism and political patronage is promoted and where an autocratic method of naming "Captains" has, in the past, led to the collapse of team morale and reflects poorly not only upon the soccer coaches and team but rather, by a proxy representation, reflects poorly upon the athletic department and the school.
To remedy this problem and for the assistance to, insulation of, and benefit of the coaching staff; for the morale of the team; for the prestigious reputation of our beloved school the players, the team, the athletic department and the school:

9. Information about shared ip-Popmundo
We are two Turkish Popmundo Players living in Moldova Republic.
We are students and flatmates.
We live three guys in this house and share same static ip with three computers.
Two of us are Popmundo players.
Due to recent lightning occurences to people who share internet as well as us, we seized to fear and wanted to let you know we never use or share our accounts, everybody uses his own computer and never use two accounts in same computer.

10. Far Cry 2 Map Editor - Advanced Option
Map editor in Far Cry 2 is very easy and this is good side. Bad side is there are very few options in editor. And no option to create maps Single-Player. It's why I create this petition.
11. Save Makaisson!
In a week or so, transfers will be enabled and encouraged from Makaisson to Burlok, Europe's only other Core RP server.
Many of us, the people of Makaisson, like our server fine. Our only issue was lack of scenarios, which could have been dealt with by fixing the parameters by which scenarios are launched, and a growing population.
Servers have to exist in pairs, because you cannot (and rightly so) have characters in both factions on a single server. That being the case, it is the height of foolishness to sacrifice one to save the other. BOTH must remain viable. Other server rulesets will be left 2 or more viable servers, but if the current plans go ahead, there will be only one viable Core RP server.
We hoped that over time our population would build up, especially once we got the the holiday season. We've seen an influx of new folks recently, but with the news of transfers, we are doomed to dwindle away to nothing. New players will not come to Makaisson if they see everyone being encouraged to transfer away.
GOA could have helped our server by running some of those RP events that they'd promised us. They could have helped us by launching the servers simultaneously, instead of three days apart. They could have enough respect for their players to consult us before pulling the plug.
If people are allowed to transfer off Makaisson to Burlok, Makaisson will become completely beyond hope of fixing. So what will be the point of Makaisson even existing?
Save Our Server! Please, GOA, do not kill our community. Give us a chance to grow.
12. Reinstate Ben Cousins to the West Coast Eagles!
Ben Cousins, has been the inspiration for the West Coast Eagles for many years, although there have been a few, to say the least, mistakes on Ben's behalf, I believe that the line WC took was a massive mistake that they will regret.
The fact is WC only did this because they knew they were going to get into trouble with the AFL, I’d just like to know where the line is, Melbourne players have been getting caught doing drugs for years, but it seems that only the WEST seems to have players publicly shamed! Ben Cousins has never been positively tested for drugs unlike *VIC players* who have tested positive twice and under AFL laws still have one more chance, well where is Ben Cousins' THIRD chance??
Shouldn’t punching your fist into an innocent person or even worse a loved one have the same effects as those placed on Cousins??? Where’s the JUSTICE!!
Two proposals have been forwarded to our local Brandon Youth Hockey Association (BYHA) to request the formation of a stand alone AA Female Midget hockey team for the upcoming 2007 - 2008 season.
Both proposals have been declined as an earlier survey of midget aged potential families suggested that there was not enough support to warrant a team. At the time of the survey very little information was known about what a stand alone team may look like and what type of schedule and costs would be involved.
A group of individuals with girls involved in Midget hockey would like the opportunity to hold tryouts for a stand alone team and offer detailed information as to what a stand alone AA team scheudle and costs would look like to those interested in playing at this level.
Tryouts would be held at the earliest possible time in September. Potentially the week players return to school.
14. Leeds United's 15 point penalty is bad for the game
Six years ago Leeds United reached the semi-finals of the Champion's League and finished forth in the Premiership.
Now they find themselves in the third flight of English football in financial turmoil.
15. Please allow teams to hit our own ASA Approved Softballs
After careful study, research, and consideration, many of the players in the local league have come to the conclusion that teams should be allowed to hit their own ASA approved softballs in league games.
Since 2004, participation has steadily decreased each season. We believe that has mainly become such because of the quality of equipment ASA has required for their sanction, particularly the game ball. Scores, batting averages, and the overall quality of the game itself has become such that individuals and teams have started going elsewhere to play their ball games.
Though, the ASA rules state we must used ASA approved bats, we feel as though the Recreation Department has not done an adequate job of properly maintaining the softballs and the quality of the product has not been satisfactory to many of the teams and players in the league. If allowed to hit the softball of our choosing, the teams will conceed to a home run limit, consisting of either 8 or 5 home runs per game.
For teams that are not as financially gainful as others, they would be allowed to purchase softballs directly from the Office of the Athletic Director. We feel this change is very necessary for the continue existance and prosperity of the league.
16. Fix up Midland's baseball field
Midland Field is played on every day whether it's the midland school lion's or the kid's in each grade at lunch. It needs to be in good shape in order for the players to play with the full enthusiasm sports should be played at.
Also it is played on, on weekends in football and baseball. They should fix the grass and the baseball field. It is a public field. I'm sure their are plenty of people who have wanted a new field but just didn't think of a petition.
The old field is used during soccer season and the soccer players have been mad for a long time. They have complained because this is the only full-sized soccer field in Rochelle Park as well as the only 60-90 ft baseball field. It is the centerpiece of Rochelle Park.

18. Fight against the antitrust NFL monopoly
In 2004 there was a very high profile lawsuit against the NFL filed by Maurice Clarett, an Ohio State football player, who wanted to participate in the NFL draft even though he was still a sophomore in college.
This dramatic lawsuit brought national attention to the issue of NFL eligibility. Clearly, the restrictions on eligibility deny people their rights to choose a profession they want to pursue. As a result of these restrictions, athletes should be able to enter the NFL draft immediately after graduating high school.
The Maurice Clarett lawsuit is an example of the problems that can result in restrictions on NFL draft eligibility. In his case, he argued that antitrust laws were broken as the NFL has a monopoly on professional football. And he further argue that he, as a professional seeking to begin a career, was restricted and had no alternative companies for which to work. This concept of the NFL monopoly also is a violation of American free market beliefs wherein one is free to pursue the career they choose.
The NFL is the only league for professional football players and, as players are successful at young ages, they should be able to become professionals as soon as they want.
Like all monopolies, the NFL will continue to dominate the market and will take advantage of athletes, their contracts and the way they are regulated. Prices will be unfair and competition will be unbalanced because of the restrictions to age. This will be an industry not regulated by free market practices but by one dominant monopoly which seeks to make as much profit as possible.
The problem is that young talented athletes may lose precious years of their careers to these regulations. Furthermore, the competitiveness of the market will be distorted because the best young athletes will not be allowed into the game. This violates antitrust laws in egregious ways.

I like World of Warcraft and want to play more of it without the billing or the Subscription for it to play and without the requirements of a Credit card because I don't have one.
I want this version of the game to keep everthing that was on the game to begin with.

24. Award Fremantle 4 points for St Kilda game Apr 30, 2006
Today we saw a debacle of the highest order at Aurora Stadium in Launceston, Tasmania in an AFL game between the Fremantle Football Club and the St Kilda Football Club.
At the completion of the game, the siren was blown with Fremantle leading by 1 point. Due to the siren being very low in volume, the umpire controlling the game claimed he didn't hear it, depsite the Fremantle players raising their arms in triumph upon hearing it, the St Kilda players dropping their heads in defeat, and another field umpire appearing to run in to rectify the error.
Play continued and in the ensuing confusion a St Kilda player scored a point before the game was officially brought to a close, with a draw being the result. Clearly the Fremantle Football Club were robbed of the win and were the true winners of the game.
We demand that the point scored by St Kilda be removed from the records and that the Fremantle Football Club be awarded the game and the 4 premiership points. In the ineterst of fairness and for the sake of preserving the integrity of the game and the AFL competition, this move is essential and must be irrevocable.
The following questions must also be answered for the public and supporters of AFL in Australia:
(i) How long was the final siren sounded for?
(ii) Did the Timekeeper sound the siren a second time?
(iii) When did the field umpire signal the completion of playing time?
(iv) If the field umpire did not hear the 2nd sounding why was the game stopped?
The integrity of this great game must be preserved and the correct club must be rewarded for its win in Tasmania.

This is to thank Reading Football Club from all its fans for achieving promotion to the premiership in 2006.
26. Removal of Anthony Lee, Steve O'Hara and John Adshead from the New Zealand Knights Management

The New Zealand Knights dismal on field performances are not only put down to players, but to people who sit in positions of power.
John Adshead, Anthony Lee and Steve O'Hara have ultimately destroyed the New Zealand Knights as a footballing franchise. Not adherring to promoting the chances for New Zealand players to play in the A-League, yet choosing to pick 14 of the 20 squad members from overseas, which is too much for a New Zealand based club.
Lee and O'Hara should not be at the club as it is obvious they have no experience in running a football club, and they both hail from backgrounds completely irrelevant to help run a successful football club.
Adshead's managerial performance of 1 win, 3 draws and 17 losses in the inaugural A-League season was disasterous to say the least, and I (as a football fan), as well as many others believe it is in the best interests of the club that John Adshead, as well as Anthony Lee and Steve O'Hara should be removed from the New Zealand Knights Football Club in order to send our club forward, rather than continue in a downward spiral destined for failure.

28. Red Faction Game Tracker crash
Red Faction wasn't ever popular e-sports game. When we take a look at this game, it's really something unusual that it still bringing new players, new clans, new leagues. And it still gives to all of those players a lot of fun.
Since many years for a lot of players it was the main online game. Even if Red Faction scene isn't as big as CS or UT, it is still the best way to spend free time by hundreds of players.
However, due to Red Faction Game Tracker crash many players are not possible to play their beloved game. Leagues can't be so active as usual, number of servers online is a lot lower, new players stopped to come. And those which already were playing RF started to think about changing game. All players which don't want to end playing RF think what to do with it. But we can't do nothing. Everything is now in THQ hands.
We have bought Red Faction to play multiplayer - now it looks that our purchase was pointless. We have lost a lot of fun which this game is STILL providing and we are losing players everyday now.
I hope that THQ will remember about this and will help us - THQ clients - to enjoy one of greatest THQ games in our opinion.
Red Faction isn't just a game. It's for many people part of life. Thanks to this game, I have met many great persons in real life. And many other players also.
I run a MyLeague league on Pogo. My league, and I know several other leagues, have ran into problems with very hostile players in the rooms we try to host and play in.
Even though Pogo allows myleague to operate in all pogo rooms, we have very hostile players who are attacking leagues who try to start hosting tours in rooms. My league can no longer play in Poppa Zoppa in the room we intended to play in as people have started putting fake accounts and gathering up everyone they can to sit in the room in order to not allow any leagues to enter the room.
Pogo needs to start doing something about the hostile players on Pogo if they want myleague leagues to continue playing there. I know of one league that was completely ran out of the game they were playing due to hostile players.
30. Horseland Should Make Sure People Are Scamming Before They Ban Them!
Horseland shouldn't ban players unless they have proof that they are indeed scamming, harrassing other players, or using foul language. Horseland shouldn't ban players unless they have evidence.
