Laser attacks on aircraft have been increasing to alarming levels lately. There is now talk of imposing bans on portable and handheld laser devices, as the NSW police minister as well as Federal police vow to take action.
The signatories of this petition believe that a blanket ban on laser devices would be unfair and harmful to those who use them in a safe manner.
2. Stop Government Waste by Illinois Governor 
Rod R. Blagojevich, Governor of Illinois, refuses to live in the Governor's Mansion in Springfield and continues to reside full time in his Chicago home with his family.
There are no objections to strong family ties, however to maintain such a situation, the Governor uses a state owned plane to fly to and from Springfield on days when the legislature is in session.
The expense for such transportation is astronomical and needs to be curtailed. The State of Illinois is in deep financial trouble and cannot afford such luxuries for one individual.
3. Fair Quality of Life Zoning
Santa Barbara has initiated strict set-back requirements for home owners. Requirements that restrict the use of sometimes up to 25% of one's property; for the sake of a obsure definition of 'Quality of Life'. Yet these requirements are only applied in the horizontal plane and not also in the vertical plane and over all building zones. For example, a home owner and developer can build vertically, next to single story building, which cut off all 'rights of privacy', 'light' and even 'air' from their neighbors.

If restrict vertical development if two or more story structure (house, condo or office building) affects their neighbors 'right of privacy', 'air' and 'light'. Right of privacy is defined as 'can the neighbor see right into the back yard of their neighbor'.
On Tuesday September 11, 2001 at 8:45 a.m. a passenger plane crashed into one of the two Manhatten World Trade Centers. at 9:03 a.m. another hijacked passenger plane crashed into the second World Trade Center. Approximently an hour later, the second WTC collapsed to the ground, and about half an hour after that the other one did. At the same time, in Washington D.C. a hijacked plane crashed into the Pentagon, causing one of the walls to fall, killing aprox. 800 people with an extended aprox. 65 on the plane. All together, approximently 20-30,000 people died, compared to the 24,000 of 1941 Pearl Harbour raid, and the 168 of the 1998 Oklahoma Bombing. Innocent people should not die like this. Stop the Violence!
