Who throws parties on Sundays?
Because of a longstanding association with Superbowl and Sunday, NFL lovers do.
However, the effort which goes into these parties, followed by inevitably intense revelry and/or depression by fans and admirers alike, does not suit a Sunday disposition.
Superbowl Saturday would allow us to embrace the game without fear of tomorrow. It would also allow for a day of reflection and recovery before the busy work week begins.
As the NFL ever expands into new markets, it is incumbent upon the league to recognize the ill effects that a Sunday Superbowl imposes on the world economy.
A Saturday Superbowl would allow millions of American churchgoers to fully participate in celebrations, creating new marketing possibilities for the NFL and their sponsor networks.
Holding the Pro Bowl on the following Sunday in the Superbowl city would also provide otherwise untapped marketing opportunities, and generally better interest in this otherwise milquetoast affair.
Superbowl Saturday has too many advantages to ignore.
Let's exercise our right to freedom of fun!

3. Martin Linenko Jr. - Requesting Release from Segregation at Fairbanks Correctional Facility 
This is Nicole Smith, fiancee of Martin Linenko Jr, aka Yae Neech. Martin has never been a threat to the Fairbanks community, where he was born and raised and has strived to only become a better man and father to his family.
Since a young child he's been well known to the members of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, participated in sports (mostly football), and spent summers doing construction jobs.
Several years back he decided to try his hand in the music business by starting a legit music label...recording music, making & selling instrumentals, collaborating with industry artists on tracks, as well as coordinating live performances here in the Fairbanks area.
The Law assumes that Martin is a threat (an expression of intention to inflict evil, injury or damage) to our community. If you know him at all, you would know that this is NOT in his character. His family and I have created a PETITION appealing to authority with RESPECT to his cause. In support of "Yae Neech" we are asking that you PLEASE take a moment of your time to SIGN THIS PETITION for him.

5. Put a Humane force in Las Vegas
Many states have a NSPCA humane force A.K.A animal cops. Las Vegas does not have one. We need one desperately. We need one NOW! The abuse has become so bad that even my next door neighbors are doing it.
It seems left and right animals in Las Vegas are hurt and abused for no reason except for a persons sick fantasies. I'm not asking for money im just asking for help so if you can contact any major officer (mayor, governor, president etc.) please send this to them.
I may be only 15 but this is what I want to do, defend animals of Las Vegas and let them have a good life.
6. Remove Pit Bull Prohibition in Walton
Walton Animal Ordinance 90.20 and 90.21, which defines "Pit Bull" and prohibits ownership, location, maintenance, keeping, harboring or use of Pit Bull Terriers in the City of Walton based on such dogs being inherently dangerous and a public nuisance.
The definition of Pit Bulls is based on AKC and UKC physical description, but fails to take into account the same organizations temperament standards. Pit Bull type dogs are NOT to be Human Aggressive and signs of aggression are a fault.
There are more than 25 different breeds that have the “predominant physical characteristics of the dogs commonly referred to as ‘Pit Bulls’. According to the National Canine Research Council, “In recent years, scientists have established that visual identification of dogs of unknown origin is extremely unreliable.
Airbrushing has led to a lot of damage and even psychological and eating disorders like anorexia and bulimia.
Please sign this petition because air brushing is inhumane and degrading to all people who suffer just to fit that perfect image.

8. Protect the most vulnerable, stop cuts to advocacy services in Cumbria
Please sign this petition. The most vulnerable people in our society are at risk of losing their "voice" - our older adults like grandpas and nanas, people who may no longer be able to think or communicate as clearly as they used to - do you know anybody who has a diagnosis of Alzheimer's, who has had a stroke or a brain injury? - people of all ages who were born with a learning difficulty or have a physical disability.
With all the radical cuts to services for vulnerable adults and children, it is now more important than ever that they have access to good advocacy to help them speak up for themselves.
The new service outline is a financial cut of over 50% to current advocacy provision within county.
At a time when Cumbria County Council is undertaking an unprecedented upheaval of its social care system, services such as advocacy are more important than ever in ensuring that the rights of some of the most vulnerable people using Council services are protected, and that in the middle of changes to social care provision and social care providers, that people do not fall through gaps.
We would expect that County Council continues its remit to protecting the most vulnerable users of its services.

9. Fresh Elections in August 2012
Although the new Constitution stripped the president’s power to dissolve Parliament, and therefore cause new general elections, the new Constitution clearly fixed the date for the general elections for Members of Parliament, to be “on the second Tuesday in August in every fifth year.”
This date is mandatory and automatic under Article 101 of the constitution. Members of the 10th Parliament were elected—and I always use the term sparingly, given some were obviously rigged in, on December 27, 2007. The members were sworn in on that cantankerous 15th day of January, 2008, which means, the next Parliamentary elections must be on August 14, 2012, under Article 101 of the constitution (second Tuesday in August of the 5th year), counting from the date of election, not the date of swearing in.
This is the only interpretation that makes sense and, even though one other might (holding the first elections under the new Constitution in December 2012), all others must be viewed with great suspicion as mischief must be lurking underneath.

14. STOP MAGNETITE MINING IN ILOCOS REGION AND CAGAYAN VALLEY (iSAVE COMMUNITY INITIATIVE)
There are a total of 158 applications for mining of magnetite, onshore and offshore.
However, the fisherfolk alliance Pambansang Lakas ng Kilusang Mamamalakaya ng Pilipinas (Pamalakaya) wants the DENR to deny the applications. The group is afraid that the massive extraction of the mineral will cause environmental imbalance in rivers and coastal areas that may further degrade the environment and cause the economic dislocation of small fisherfolks whose livelihood depend directly on fishing in the municipal waters.
Pamalakaya said there are 15 magnetite mining applications in the onshore and offshore areas of San Juan (two offshore), Bacnotan (two offshore), Balaoan (two offshore), Luna (one offshore), Bangar (one offshore, one onshore), Pugo (one onshore), Burgos (one onshore), Santol (one onshore) and Sudipen (one onshore) in La Union province.
The group also learned that there are 57 blacks and mining applications in Ilocos Sur province, with four in Tagudin, four in Sta.Cruz, five in Sta. Lucia, four in Candon City, four in Santiago, four in San Esteban, five in Sta. Maria, five in Narvacan, eight in Santa, five in Caoayan, four in Sta.Catalina and four in Vigan City.
Pamalakaya noted that 86 applications for magnetite mining in Ilocos Norte province are pending before the MGB which cover the towns of Badoc (six), Pinili (three) Paoay (three), Laoag (three), Currimao (four), Bacarra (three), Pasuquin (13), Burgos (four), Bangui (one), Pagudpud (two), Batac (one), Banna (five), Nueva Era (seven), Marcos (six), Solsona (three), Carasi (five), Dingras (five), Vintar (six), Adams (two), Piddig (three) and Dumalneg (one).
Pamalakaya said the Vancouver based Canadian firm Colossal Mining holds five individual exploration and mining permits which will cover 80 percent of offshore magnetite mining for iron in the North Western Luzon along Lingayen Gulf encompassing the provinces of La Union, Ilocos Sur and Ilocos Norte, including its offshore activity in Cagayan province.
The group said the exploration and mining permits given to Colossal Mining would allow it to explore at least 15,700 hectares of offshore areas in North Western Luzon.
Rosario + Vampire deserves a third season. The last episode of season 2 did say to be continued, and there are still many characters that have not yet been introduced and still many major events that have not yet happened.

16. Pressure Discovery Medical Aid to change limits on Allied Medical
Discovery Health Medical Aid has drastically changed their coverage for all allied health professionals for 2012.
It is unreasonable to go from unlimited benefits to a low maximum.
We are asking Discovery Health Scheme to appoint an independent commission of enquiry to investigate alternative ways of curbing abuse of benefits, without capping the limits.

18. Democratic Restoration Act: - Convicted felons have the right to vote
By denying people who have felonies the right to participate in voting is discriminating and undemocratic. The bill to withhold these rights was created during the Jim Crow era. With the purpose of barring African Americans the right to vote. These laws are still impacting today's society.
Seven times the national average is African Americans who cannot vote due to felony convictions. Pass the Democratic Restoration Act now so the people who are convicted of felonies can vote by the 2012 Presidential Election.
19. Attention Arkansas Cherokee Descendants!
Attention Arkansans! Did you know there was at one time a 4.2 million acres Cherokee reservation right here in Arkansas? Where did it go? It no longer exists because of a huge oversight.
No one has ever taken an census of the Cherokees living here, EVER! If you are descended from Cherokee then we ALL need to speak up NOW for your ancestors and your children. PLEASE sign the following petition to let the US know 'WE ARE HERE'! There are thousands of us living here in Arkansas that are descended from the original 'Cherokee Nation West of the Mississippi'. This was a Federally recognized Tribe that had a treaty with the US Government.
This Tribe was formed many years before the Trail of Tears march. They and the US were urging ALL Cherokees to move to the Arkansas Cherokee Nation before the march. The Cherokee in the East were told by the US and the Arkansas Cherokee Nation that if they did not move to Arkansas they were giving up their Tribal citizenship. This is all documented. The CNO (Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma) never followed any federally mandated guidelines to become an official Tribe and yet They claim they are a true Tribe because of a term called "INHERENT SOVEREIGNTY AUTHORITY". This basically means that since they were, they still are.
Therefore, since the Arkansas Cherokee Government was, then we still are! So; we, the descendants of the 'Original Cherokee Nation West' would like to obtain OUR federal recognition also by means of "INHERENT SOVEREIGNTY AUTHORITY". We now have a government official that is willing to assist us but we need as many signatures as we can get on this petition. If you are a descendant of the Cherokees living in Arkansas before and after the removal PLEASE sign this petition and let your voice be heard. We deserve this!

The Banks are foreclosing on Homeowners using Trust Deeds that are suspicious or voidable without due process, The Reverse Mortgage bankers are robbing the heirs of their inheritance.
Bankers or using robo signers in deceptive practices marked at subprime loans that originated to fail without a remedy of recovery and the people was forced to bailed out the banks now why didn't they bail out the people. This must change!

This petition is for support to put forward a proposal to Gold Coast City Council to act on the current state of our sand banks along the northern beaches of the Gold Coast.
As many of you are aware, of late there has been a constant dredging of sand from the outer 'bombie' banks of South Stradbroke Island and the Gold Coast seaway, and a dumping of this sand just off Surfers Paradise in front Cavil Ave down to Q1. You are probably also aware of the huge deep water gutter between the deadly shore break and the outer surfing bank and just how straight this bank has been for years, creating a river like effect flowing up the coast which is unsafe and has completely destroyed wave quality. This dumping of sand combined with the southern dredging is making it even worse. The dredging of sand from South Stradbroke Island is also having a negative affect on the world class surfing attraction that it is.
So why don't we do something useful with the sand that is currently being displaced? This is the capital of surfing in Australia, if not the world.
The answer is a 'sand slug'.
There is currently a sand nourishment project going down in Cronulla that has the potential to convert the straightest of beach breaks into a possible array of well defined banks and 'peaky wedges'.

Without being too technical it basically works in a similar way to an outer reef, which sucks in swell, compresses it, breaks it up and in turn, creates real defined banks and peaky swell. The waves don't break on the outer bank but are directed by it, similar to what happens at South Stradbroke now. (Until the sand has all been dredged of course!)
Think of the possibilities for the beach breaks that run from Burleigh to the Spit. This has the potential to break up current over crowding, bring back quality beach breaks, and also improve the safety of the popular tourist zones. The 2 metre drop off at the water line is not safe!!
'Yeah, it'll work like a swell magnet; it'll focus all the energy into one particular spot on the beach, where the waves should be slightly larger than the waves on either side. So the plan is that we will get this classic situation where we get peaks coming through in the lee of the sand slug. Both those things should break up the closeout pattern.' Andrew Pitt

23. Fair Treatment of Foreign Students @ Handong Global University
Handong Global University is declared as an "International University." Yet, they put out rules and regulations that give advantages to Korean students and to MK's (missionary kids) or PK's (Pastor kids).
In order to receive an academic scholarship @ this school, foreign students must reach a GPA of 4.5 while other students such as missionary kids and kids from 3rd world countries only need a 2.5 GPA. Furthermore, during the summer and winter breaks, volunteer work to help countries in need are offered. However, favor is only given to students who are Korean or missionary kids which I find to be unfair for our future depends on good deeds we have done during our attendance at the university.
Thirdly, there are not enough English-speaking professors @ this so-called international university and there are no major courses offered during summer or winter breaks so foreigners have to stay longer in order to fulfill their credit requirements.
I say, that if Handong Global University is an "International University" it should live up to its' name, don't you think?

25. Bring back Celia Hodes in the 8th Season of Weeds
Weeds has always been a great TV show, but it hasn`t been the same after Celia Hodes (interpreted by Elizabeth Perkins) ceased to appear after the 5th season.
This character still has so much to offer and can surprize the viewers with a great twist during the next season.

27. Remove Unwanted Food Additive BHA
BHA is a potentially Cancer causing carcinogen that the United States FDA approves the Nationwide use of.
Meanwhile other countries (such as in Asia and Europe) have stepped forward by placing a ban to stop the use of BHA as an food preservative.
The US National Institutes of Health report that BHA is reasonably anticipated to be a human carcinogen based on evidence of carcinogenicity in experimental animals. In particular, when administered in high doses as part of their diet, BHA causes papillomas and squamous cell carcinomas of the forestomach in rats and Syrian golden hamsters.

29. Take Shark Fin Soup Off the Menu in BC, Canada
100-150 million sharks are killed every year. In the past 20 years, shark population has decreased by 90%. Scientists predict that within the next 15-20 years, sharks will be completely wiped out.
The are the most important species on Earth, simply because they control levels further down on the food pyramid, as tertiary consumers, and therefore the oxygen levels in the ocean, which controls everything on earth, as it covers 2/3 of the Earth's surface.
Please protect this beautiful creature, and ban the act of shark finning. It starts out locally, but when brought to a global perspective can change the situation dramatically. The slaughter of sharks will soon affect you, so please, take action and sign the petition.
