1. Tell Marco Rubio To Stop Supporting Amnesty
Whereas, Marco Rubio has disappointed his entire conservative voter base with his troubling push of amnesty for illegal aliens in recent immigration reform legislation.
Whereas, Rubio has misled the public about the bill's costly and explosive contents, as he has not even read the bill and won't agree to share it with the public.
Whereas, Rubio has lost my support by endorsing a "free pass" for illegal immigrants -- a policy that is fiscally, culturally, and lawfully irresponsible. Senator, your encouragement of illegal amnesty is against our values, and is evidence that you mislead constituents to believe you'd vote against the very legislation you're selling today if you were to be elected.
2. End the Sale of Synthetic Marijuana Products in New Hampshire
Synthetic Marijuana is marketed as “herbal incense” under hundreds of brand names such as Spice, K2, The Dreaded, and Cloud 9. It consists of plant matter sprayed with toxic chemicals that, when inhaled, produces a high often accompanied by a variety of dangerous health effects. Although it is labeled “not for human consumption” it is misleadingly touted as a safe and legal alternative to marijuana and can be legally purchased anywhere in NH.
Health effects from synthetic marijuana can be life-threatening and can include: Severe agitation and anxiety; Fast, racing heartbeat and higher blood pressure; Nausea and vomiting; Muscle spasms, seizures, and tremors; Intense hallucinations and psychotic episodes; Suicidal and other harmful thoughts and/or actions.
If you would like to see all forms of this dangerous substance removed from store shelves across New Hampshire, please show your commitment and support by signing this petition today.

On Thursday, March 26, 2009 the New Hampshire House will vote on two very important House Bills;
HB436 will grant marriage equality to gays and lesbians. Civil unions are a legal status created solely for gay/lesbian couples. Even if there were not the significant inequities in the way the law treats marriages and civil unions, the fact that a civil union remains a separate status for gay people represents real and powerful discrimination. Our constitution requires legal equality for all.
Excluding gay/lesbian couples from marriage or segregating them with separate institutions, like civil unions -- marks them, and the thousands of children raised by them in NH, as less worthy than other citizens.
(It is also worth noting that HB436 upholds freedom of religion. This bill is about civil marriage, and leaves decisions about religious ceremonies to faith leaders.)
HB415 is the anti-discrimination act for gender identity and expression. This bill defines gender identity and expression and will add it to the list of classes of people protected from discrimination. No one should ever be fired from their job or targeted for a "Hate Crime" due to any discriminating factor, which includes gender identity or expression. Thirteen states and Washington DC already have transgender inclusive laws in place. It is important to send the message that discrimination is ALWAYS wrong!
4. Supporters of Paul & Obama Unite For A Recount In NH
Ron Paul had two precincts, Sutton and Greenville, that BOTH claimed to receive ZERO votes for him in the recent New Hampshire primary.
In the same ballot Rudy Giuliani received many more votes than would be expected for a candidate with no momentum from previous primaries and very low poll numbers in a state where he did not see fit to even campaign.
Barack Obama received significantly less votes than was predicted in the vast majority of polls whilst Hillary Clinton received significantly more votes than were predicted.
This coupled with the statistical analyses demonstrating that BOTH candidates potentially lost HUGE numbers of votes when comparing hand counts to machine counts (91% of the vote in New Hampshire was machine counted) should, in the interests of ensuring that a true representation of the will of the people is reflected in the results, be enough to drive any Paul or Obama supporter to sign this petition, regardless of party or candidate affiliation.
Given that both men are running for the office of President of the United States, an office that exists solely of the people, for the people and by the people, one assumes that they will both accept this request and represent the will of the people to demand this recount should enough signatures be accumulated.
5. Rescuing Recess In New Hampshire
CHICAGO Oct 9, 2006 (AP)— Here's some soothing medicine for stressed-out parents and overscheduled kids: The American Academy of Pediatrics says what children really need for healthy development is more good, old-fashioned playtime.
