Nearly 2,800 innocent men, women and children died September 11, 2001. Many fire fighters and policemen serving their country sacrificed their own lives to save others. Since then, war has erupted and even more death befell upon our country.
The horrendous act of terrorism has changed the United States forever and on its anniversary our district should take a day off to celebrate the lives of those who had lost them.
2. Produce more of the childhood cancer drug Methotrexate for our angel's sake 
Medication used to treat the most common form of childhood leukemia is in short supply, adding to the largest nationwide shortage of critical lifesaving hospital medications in nearly a decade.
All five pharmaceutical companies that make the injection drug methotrexate, which treats acute lymphoblastic leukemia by slowing the growth of cancer cells, have either slowed and stopped manufacturing of the drug, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. The companies have cited high demand or manufacturing delays as reasons for the shortage.
If the shortage continues, physicians and pharmacists fear thousands of children will be left without lifesaving treatment.
3. Help with the cost neutering within Wolverhampton
The amount of dogs especially stafforshire bull terriers in rescue centres within wolverhampton and surrounding areas is disgusting. Most people find neutering costly.
Help for people on low incomes would help this situation.
4. Innocent animals have died and so have people...
Chevron may well be cheap and efficient, and they may well be your favourite company, but they have been responsible for one of the biggest causes of death, loss and health problems in the Amazon Rainforest; their own mess!
They have caused so much mess that animals and people, including children, have been forced to drink filthy, toxic water that was once safe. They have poisoned innocent animals that then die slowly and painfully. This also pollutes the people's food sources making them even more at risk.
Children have probably been orphaned and have certainly siblings and family members due to Chevron's mess, which was probably accidental.

The mess will exist for longer and even more innocent lives will be lost.

6. Liskeard - How many more must die on our roads? Review A38 - B3252
How many people have to die on these 2 junctions at Liskeard before they close the central reservation gaps? The A38 - B3252 (Looe turning) and the A38 - Menheniot turning. They COULD at the B3252 make ALL traffic coming out of the B3252 turn left and go up to Liskeard round-about and turn round.
This would stop traffic being forced to stop in the middle of the A38 because of traffic on the A38 wanting to turn right onto the B3252. As we all know, a local young man lost his life on the A38 - B3252 junction only last week. Let this be the last.
This site is in memory of Richard James Neale and all the other casualties of these junctions. Always in our minds. Never to be forgotten.
7. Bring Back Luningning Mariposa and Milagring on Wowowee
WE, the loyal fans of Luningning, Milagring and Mariposa also known as the “ASF Trio”, truly were the best among the group, would like to express our sentiments with regards to the heartrending outcome of their careers in Wowowee. Why does their career had to end so saddened.
We were very much shocked when we first heard the news about them quitting on the show. All of us were heartbroken due to their sudden resignation on the show. The reason were still unclear why they left the show, but maybe it was a mix of everything from Ms. Anna’s issue, their “age issue”, less exposure and being neglected on the show. They were not even given the chance to do some farewell dance and were not able to give final messages to their supporters before they left. It was not justifiable for us fans, we were undeniably dissatisfied about it.
We know it was really hard for them to leave but maybe from their own point of view, that’s the only option they’ve had. For all the years they entertained us, seeing them leave like that is like “losing a piece of your heart” someone told and that is true… you have to accept the fact that the public isn’t ready yet to let go of them. Truly they were loved by many, they were such great dancers, very nice and very humble. They will always hold a special place in our hearts.
We request for the concerned parties to hear out the voices of the fans. We yearn to see them on the show again. Please bring them back on the show and give them proper treatment that they deserve. Seeing them everyday on national TV had been part of our daily lives. You have to realize that there is a need for you to make it up to us, the die-hard TRIO FANS. They have contributed a lot on the popularity of the show. Wowowee still won't be the same without them. They touches many lives. No one can ever replace the trio. They were indeed tough shoes to fill, truly dance icons that is why they deserve better.

The effects that something like Facebook has on all our societies, throughout many countries and their cultures, is of great importance.
When we consider major issues in our legal systems, communities & countries as a whole, we obtain an already gray picture that seems to continuously fade into black. This blackness represents our values, standards and human rights as a whole.
Facebook (as nieve as we all sometimes are) is damaging our lives from something as small as persistent messages and advertisment, right the way through to the biggest issues such as data protection, child abuse, rape & MURDER!
I'm not sure is you have noticed but this "ever growing" culture that insights all kinds of marriage/relationship break-ups and even bullying in our schools, is slowly taking over our general way of life. The schemes that facebook presents are most evil as they come in forms of entertainment and communication, very subtly sucking in our children, wives, husbands, fathers, & mothers to spend increasing amounts of time "stuck" the screen, presenting ever more tempting opportunities for people to indulge themselves in fantasies (good/bad) which have huge side affects. Boundaries according to cultural and sociological criteria shouldn't be broken by way of deliberately enticing people to do so just to line their own pockets.
I feel these affects need to be addressed and considered when deciding the functionality of something thats so easy to cease but can obtain uncontrollable amounts of power......I'm not 100% religiously inclined in any direction but I know...
If there is a Devil, Facebook would definitely be a useful tool for the destruction of society as we know it.
Our recommendations are:
1) That all Health Care Aids and Personal Support Workers should be regulated, organized and accountable.
2) That there be stricter screening of Personal Support Workers before enrollment in courses.
3) That all schools are providing proper education and training of Personal Support Workers. We need more quality, not just quantity.
4) That the practice of handing out Personal Support Worker certificates to keep Canada's unemployment rate down, be ceased.
5) That a much needed support group, to help Health Care Aids and Personal Support Workers deal with the many issues that face them every day, be established.
6) That a stronger network be built with employers, registered staff and the public, so we can enhance the lives of our seniors, eliminate seniors abuse and improve working conditions for front line workers.
10. Economic Credit Management as a subject in all Schools
I would like to start a petition for our teenagers in High School. The petition will be about our Credit in the United States of America.
Through these hard economic times, I believe it is important for every one to know about how and why our credit effects who we are as people. I believe all students in school should be taught how to manage, not only there money, but their credit as well!
It is important for our youth to understand how credit will effect the rest our lives and the impact on our lives.
11. Reduce the risks - 50/30 Now on the A1307
The A1307 between the A11 and Haverhill (just ten miles) has seen over 16 deaths, 31 Serious Accidents and 99 Slight Injury Accidents in the last five years and since March this year six people (three children) have lost their lives on the road. There are 10 changes of speed limit in 6 miles, several applicable for one third of a mile or less.
We are told that ‘most’ of the fatalities on the A1307 are not related to excessive speed but we believe that if speed limits were reduced then this would have a positive effect. We believe – and we hope that you agree – that this road needs ‘calming’ in the way that only a lower and properly-enforced speed limit can achieve.
The peak period vehicle interval is 1.8 seconds, making this a very difficult road to access at these times of day, however people are still expected to cross the road (up to three lanes of traffic) in the dark with traffic travelling at 60mph just to catch a bus. Two children have lost their lives crossing the road in the last two years.
Vehicles from the villages have to risk their lives to exit their own villages and a roundabout to alleviate these problems and save lives was rejected due to congestion issues related to the high volume of traffic on the road – they just dropped the issue and left residents with the problem. Surprisingly Just four years later Cambridgeshire County Council stated that the road could accommodate an additional 250 lorries per day on the road from a large distribution centre... putting vehicles ahead of people.
Considerable housing and industrial development will continue at Haverhill, inevitably creating even more commuter and HGV traffic on the A1307 but no plans are in place to accommodate it and improvements will inevitably have to come from road safety budgets which mean people have to lose their lives first and this is TOTALLY unacceptable.
We want Cambridgeshire County Council to take immediate action, to reduce speed limits immediately and to make representations to the government for funding to put long term improvements into place.

13. Help Resurrect LA FEMME NIKITA
La Femme Nikita was an exceptional espionage/spy drama that premiered on the USA cable network from January 1997 to March 2001. It was adapted for television by Joel Surnow from the original French film of the same title and ran for five consecutive seasons. During that time, it was the highest rated drama on cable television, and it went on to become a cult classic with viewers around the world.
As a weekly serial drama, La Femme Nikita was original and ahead of its time. The unique, innovative style of the show influenced numerous other television series and movies that followed. Revolving around complex moral and ethical dilemmas, it was intelligent, sophisticated, and darkly beautiful. For many, the fascination and genius of La Femme Nikita was its dark tone of modern minimalism and its unprecedented style of character development.
The program was of such outstanding caliber that there has never been another like it...before or since. La Femme Nikita has been profoundly missed and has left a void that no other program has filled. Thousands of individuals identified with the show on a deeply personal level and felt it became a part of their lives. 15. We Deserve The Right To Live Pain Free
Child abuse is reported on an average of every 10 seconds and three children die every day as a result of such abuse.
Sadly, Colorado has one of the highest rates of child abuse in the country. According to the National Child Abuse & Neglect Data System (NCANDS), Colorado ranks 3rd in the nation for deaths resulting from child abuse.
Government funding does not support the full range of services necessary to assist families in providing safe, nurturing care and education for their children, or, when necessary, to develop an alternative permanency option.
16. Family Court System Reform
In family court, decisions made by judges and commissioners who are trying to get thru as many court cases as possible are not necessarily in the best interest of all parties, but most importantly is the innocent children.
Often times these children are ripped away from fit and loving parents who are capable of providing for them and having relationships with them simply because other individuals, or agencies have not taken all dynamics into consideration.
Children deserve to have a voice and be heard. It would greatly improve the likelihood of children having more normal and stable lives if they were to have an advocate from the beginning of any court proceeding that could adversely affect their lives. This is especially important in cases of drug/alcohol use, abuse/neglect, mental health issues and/or abandonment.
No Child should have to be separated from a fit and loving parent capable of providing for them, but divorce is a reality and children are not a commodity that can be "split in half". Children deserve to have as much normalcy in their lives as possible and deserve to have someone advocate for them their wants and desires. Children should not be discounted simply because of their age or any challenges they may face (special needs children are often discounted because of their challenges)
Immediate appointment of a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) or Guardian Ad Litem, who could look at the facts from the standpoint of what is in the child(ren's) best interest, as well as their wants and desires (which is often a huge part of their best interest) without the bias of either party, would greatly help each child who is affected by court decisions.
It is well documented that children who has a situation of unstable family dynamics, often turn to a life of crime,drugs, alcohol, and/or risky sexually active lifestyles to replace what they are not getting at home.
Let's invest some time and money into our children now to keep them out of those lifestyles and keep our society a better place for us all.
Let's give OUR CHILDREN A VOICE.
17. Drill Crandall Canyon Mine
6 Miners are trapped, and have been since August 6, 2007. It is known that underground rescue can not be completed as the mine is far too unstable.
On August 21, the officials have stated they will stop rescue and recovery attempts shortly. This is unacceptable as the mine will be sealed, and the men with it.
18. Revisions to Teenage Driving Laws
Vechile accidents have long been to blame for the highest number of teenage deaths in the United States. Statistics show that teenage drivers, under laws now, are still at high risk of getting into accidents that could endanger not only their lives, but the lives of all those on the road.
With revisions to the currents laws teenage drivers would gain more experience, and become more intelligent, safer drivers and the bring the potential for the decreasement of their involvement in roadway accidents and deaths
19. Don't let Jamie Bulger's killers live in Australia!
Do you remember February 1993 when a young boy of 3 was taken from a Liverpool shopping centre by two 10-year-old boys?
Jamie Bulger walked away from his mother for only a second, Jon Venables took his hand and led him out of the mall with his friend Robert Thompson. They took Jamie on a walk for over 2 and a half miles, along the way stopping every now and again to torture the poor little boy who was crying constantly for his mummy.
Finally they stopped at a railway track where they brutally kicked him, threw stones at him, rubbed paint in his eyes, pushed batteries up his anus and cut his fingers off with scissors.
Other mutilations were inflicted but not reported in the press. What these two boys did was so horrendous that Jamie’s mother was forbidden to identify his body.
They then left his beaten small body on railway tracks so a train could run him over to hide the mess they had created. These two boys, even being boys, understood what they did was wrong, hence trying to make it look like an accident. This week Lady Justice Butler-Sloss has awarded the two boys anonymity for the rest of their lives when they leave custody with new identities.
They will also leave custody early only serving just over half of their sentence. They are being relocated to Australia to live out the rest of their lives. They disgustingly and violently took Jamie’s life away and in return they each get a new life!Please .. If you feel as strongly as we do, that this is a grave miscarriage of justice ..

20. H.O.M.E - Rebuilding Lives
Homelessness is as old as the United States itself. When the first settlers came to America they were homeless.
Today more families are needing support services and are not being provided those services because the current definition of homelessness is based on individuals and not families. The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) definition prohibits services to families with children. However, today, more and more families are becoming homeless.
The United States Conference of Mayors (2005) shared that the causes of homelessness is due to “lack of affordable housing, low paying jobs, mental illness, the lack of needed services, substance abuse, domestic violence, unemployment and poverty. There are many consequences for families being homeless.
When families become homeless they not only loose their homes, they also loose all of their possessions. Children may not receive an education or may have to change schools, family separation becomes an issue because most shelters do not allow women, men and children to be together.
Therefore, the current definition of homelessness as defined by HUD must be expanded to include families with children.
This is a television show that had a lot of moral meaning to it.
This being a show, which focused on 6 different women living in the same house together, making changes to their lives, and working toward achieving a life goal. The women have the support of each other, as well as the support and motivation of their life coaches, assisting them toward achieving their life goals.
"Starting Over" has allowed countless people to relate to the life issues (e.g. - money, love, health, relationships, etc.), which the actual women, who participated in the life-changing process were dealing with. This show has even inspired people to make changes in their lives, as have these actual women.

This is a petition for the owners of Penguin Magic to remove a few extremely immature, and mentally challenged 'so called moderators' who are continuing to make the Penguin forums a place of misery for all members.
These incompetent, and mentally handicapped kiddies are only concerned about getting off daily from their alleged power trips, by locking, editing, and deleting topics that do not even need edited. They also continue to torture all the members with their prepubescent mentalities, and the spelling and Grammar that would make a pre-school student look like a college graduate.
The main mods in question are, bravesaint, wiggy191, and jak. AKA: 'The three stooges.' These three morons are probably the most stupid idiots that I personally have ever seen attempt to type on an internet forum, let alone try to moderate. bravesaint is the alleged leader of the retard squad, the others simply follow suit. bravesaint, an inane, incoherent moron who claims to do magic professionally full-time, yet somehow manages to be on forums 24/7 locking/deleting/editing topics, thus throwing in his last nonsensical, and extremely poor/kiddie like last jabs.
This so called full-time professional also still lives at home with his dad. What torture that must be for that poor guy. But getting back to the point at hand, as it is entirely too easy, and time consuming to list brave's faults, and failures in life, please vote to have these preposterous, and asinine forum losers demoted as soon as possible. They are specifically the main reason why many great members have left the forums, and why all those same members will never buy another product from Penguin again while they are still in their very poorly appointed positions of 'moderator.'

217 Wendy Gantos I am a disabled attorney and cannot practice due to my disability. I had to wait 2 years for my employer to give me long term disability. During that time, I tried to get food stamps, and the process was so ridiculously long and hard, I never got them! Now if an attorney can't figure out the system, how can the rest of the country figure it out. I live now on disability and my bills are way more than my income every month. I can't even afford to pay my student loans. Great country, huh?

26. Just Say No to Child Endangerment
We, the undersigned, are asking for help to get our bus driver, Mr. Spells, terminated so we can feel safer about riding the bus.
Not only does Mr. Spells make rude comments, but he also drives carelessly. He endangers the lives of every student on the bus, himself, and the lives of innocent drivers that share the road with him. Mr. Spells swerves all over the road, does not watch where he is going, and has even hit two street signs that are at least three feet off the side of the road.
Is it safe to talk on a cell phone while driving a school bus full of thirty or more kids? I don't think so. But obviously Mr. Spells does because he loves to carry on conversations while the bus is in motion. There is a sticker in the front of the bus that says "no idling - save fuel and breathe easier" but Mr. Spells frequently stops the bus, gets out and goes outside to talk on his phone. He is not only wasting diesel but is giving students the oppurtunity to misbehave. Mr. Spells even has the audacity to make racial comments agaist Hispanics, calling them "brown skins". It is also a state law for anyone to wear a seat belt while operating a motor vehicle. Mr. Spells drives the bus without his seatbelt often.
When we, the students, confront the assistant principal [Mr. Stacy Poston] about these incidents, the only thing he had to say was: "Mr. Spells has been driving for many years, he is one of our best drivers. Would you like us to put you on a bus that has had ten or twenty wrecks?" First of all, why should any bus driver be driving if they have had that many wrecks? It's unsafe. Second, Mr. Spells should keep his glasses on at all times, but instead he will take two minutes every day to take them off and clean them while he is driving. How is he supposed to see? We just hope he knows what he is doing.
This is why we are asking for your help to accomplish the only goal we have: To make our rides to and from school safer with a new bus driver. We are not trying to cause chaos, we are just concerned about the safety of the students and other drivers. This is why we believe Mr. Spells should not drive anymore, for fear of our lives and those of others. Thank you for taking the time to read this petition and we hope you agree with our views.
27. The Bali Nine
The bali nine are suffering due to the mistakes and the lack of our Australian police and government investigating the ring leaders here in australia.
My name is Rachel Richardson and i am a former heroin addict and now a Human Rights campaigner and a member of Amnesty International, we need to stop injustices such as this, there needs to be more support in the war against drugs we need to educate our children against the dangers such as drug smuggling and the traps that they can so easily be caught up in.
There needs to be better rehabilitation and education and the government needs to be of support to this as well.... we all make mistakes and we need to learn from them not be killed for them.
Who will be the next victims ?? our children ?? being offered free holidays to indonesia. Then having their lives threatened or the lives of their families. This whole case needs to be investigated properly and the people behind this need to be prosecuted. Innocent people were roped into smuggling heroin and have already been sentenced to death due to the indonesian laws.
It is now up to the Australian Government and John Howard to help these innocent victims.
28. Stop cruel deportation of mother of two young US children
Rosalba M. is a Mexican citizen who has been living and working as a housekeeper in the SF Bay Area for approximately the past thirteen years. Her two sons, G.(13) and L.(11) are U.S. citizens who have lived here their entire lives and attend public school in the Bay Area. Rosalba divorced their father some years ago due to his repeated physical abuse. Rosalba was awarded custody of the children and they live with her most of the time. She has sole responsibility for their up bringing. Rosalba is a law-abiding, hard-working, loving mother who is a tremendous role model for her children. She has invested all of her spare time and scarce resources in giving them a better opportunity than she has had in life, including a quality education. G. and L. are good, well-behaved children who are deeply attached to their mother. G. is an honor student. L. has some learning disabilities that require special attention from the school and his mother. Their father takes little interest in the children and has shown little concern for their welfare. He is unemployed, has a criminal record and he and his current wife have refused to pay court-ordered child support for two years.
Following a bureaucratic process, Rosalba has been notified by Homeland Security that she will be deported as an illegal alien on May 3, and that she may not re-enter the country for at least five years. She has consistently cooperated with the immigration authorities and has repeatedly appealed to them to consider the impact of their proposed actions on her children. Section 240A of the Immigration and Nationality Act provides eligibility for relief in cases of hardship to children such as this one. However, her appeals to the immigration service and the courts have been rejected, and the children are now facing the terrifying prospect of having their mother permanently taken away from them by their own Government.
They face an impossible choice:
· Stay in the United States without their mother, dependent on a violent father who has shown little concern for their education or general welfare, or
· Go with their mother to live in one of the poorest regions of Mexico, a country whose language they do not speak, without access to education or financial support
In either case, the impact on their lives will be devastating.
29. Simon Shaw's Sentence DOES NOT fit the crime
After being found guilty of arson and recklessly endangering lives and causing £4,500 damage, the boy was given a year long supervision order, with six months concurrent intensive supervision, and was ordered to pay my sister a pathetic £200.
Darlington Member Of Parliament, Alan Milburn has pledged to look into the sentence, saying the family has endured enough. "Misuse of fireworks makes lives a misery and it is up to the authorities to show this behaviour will not be tolerated," he said.
"This family has clearly been through an ordeal. They need to know the courts are on their side."

30. Reduction of High school hours
Teenage years are very difficult, school is a huge part of most teenagers' lives and is very stressful for them. The problems vary from their peers to grades and I feel both could be resolved by reducing school hours.
Most every student I've asks claims that they almost always have about 25-35 minutes of free time after each lesson. If every class period was half as long there would be just as much learned and more of an impact. Rather than have class assignments we could have homework more often. Drivers ed, makeup work, tutoring and other various school activities could be scheduled for after school.
With school not as long, students will not be as hesitant or nervous about attending school. Many students have problems with other kids or are harrassed by them so it makes more of an impact with school being such a big part of their lives. Students wouldnt have enough spare time to harm anyone if school was shorter but a student could have enough time to meet people. Most "bullies" only pick on others when they are bored or feel badly about themselves. I feel there would be less school violence, suicides, and less absences.
