213. Neda’s Petition For Referendum In Iran

NEDA’S PETITION FOR REFERENDUM IN IRAN

SUPERVISED BY U.N. PEACE KEEPING FORCES

June 27, 2009

call for AN immediate action

From: millions of freedom seeking minds, Neda Azadis, demanding Referendum to achieve democracy in Iran

To: United Nations Headquarter

United Nations Security Council

760 United Nations Plaza,

New York, NY 10017, USA

Attention: The United Nations Security Council members: Ban Key Moon, U.S President Barak Obama, French President Nicholas Sarkozy, German Chancellor Angela Markel, English Prime Minister Gordon Brown, Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Pouting, Chinese President Hu Jinato, and to all other world leaders of G8, Amnesty International, the International Red Cross, and all International news agencies

Attachments: Signed Petitions of one million people in support of Referendum in Iran
The rigged election of June 12, 2009 in Iran ran by Ahmadinejad and Khamenei, has disgusted millions of Iranians and the international communities. Worse yet, the fundamentalist regime has repressively responded to the public outcry with a new wave of brutal baton beatings, firing tear gas, aerial drops of burning chemicals, home raids, and shooting directly into public gatherings. The brutal repression has caused countless deaths and thousands of injured civilians. This ruthless regime has been attacking hospitals and taking wounded and injured into Evin Prison, Kahrizak Prison, and other unknown locations for more torture and executions. Hundreds of live horror stories indicate that another “Holocaust” is underway, Hitler Style, by this Taliban-minded regime. The oppressors have hired non-Iranian soldiers of Hezbollah and Hamas to kill the innocent and unarmed Iranian civilians who have only stood up against this brutal regime to declare and defend their basic human rights. Iranian people are only exercising the right to express themselves and the right to gather in public, peaceful gatherings. Iranian people have not exercised any rights to bear arms and yet, they are being shot at! Their armor is their flaming body.

Recent sociopolitical events in Iran demonstrated and proved that “reform and moderation can not evolve from this Islamic fundamentalist regime of Iran”. Neither Khamenei (Supreme Leader), Ahmadinejad, Mousavi, Rezaei, Karubi, Khatami, nor Rafsanjani represent the will of the Iranian people. Each of these men is part of the same fundamentalist, extremist, and state sponsored terrorist government and has blood on his hands.

It has been for more than 100 years that Iranians have fought for freedom and democracy against “Dictator Rulers of Iran”. For more than a century, hundreds of thousands of Iranian freedom fighters have been imprisoned, tortured, and killed. The real revolution has been repeatedly hijacked by groups of internal or external opportunists. For the past 30 years, over 100,000 innocent people have been killed and tortured by this tyrannical regime for freedom of speech and other basic human rights.

On June 20, 2009, one of these brave “freedom fighters” was Neda Agha-Soltan. Neda decorated the history of Iran with the blood of her martyrdom, just as other hundreds of thousands of martyrs did for freedom of Iran. Her real nickname is now Neda Azadi. Neda is the face of Iran. Neda is the voice of Iran. Neda is the symbol of the Iranian resistance against this brutal regime. As the world watched, Neda’s ultimate sacrifice through her murder by an Ahmadinejad’s Basiji gunman, demonstrates that the Iranian government has totally lost its legitimacy. Neda means regime change. Neda means calling for democracy and freedom. Neda’s singular wish was just to get her vote counted! No government has the right to act in such a brutal way to its own citizens! The International community, as well as Iranians, is also extremely concerned to have nuclear power in the hands of this recklessly brutal regime. Neda died chanting “Death to Dictators” and “Death to Khamenei. Neda did not die in Vein!

Neda’s “call” is for a new REFERENDUM in Iran. So, let the freedom ring!

We, the undersigned of this petition:

1) Call for the international leaders to immediately nullify the recent Iranian election and rightfully deny legitimacy to this government.

2) Request that Sepahe-Pasdaran and Basij (government’s special Para-military forces) must be disarmed by the United Nations peacekeeping forces.

3) Urge the United Nation to immediately send peace-keeping forces from multiple nations to Iran. The world community must administer and supervise a new REFERENDUM, so people may choose their own government through their new candidates. The world community must act quickly and efficiently to prevent further massacres of Iran’s peaceful protestors by an illegitimate and unwanted government.

4) Request that the referendum occur within the next thirty days or sooner in Iran for the election of a new democratic regime that respects the separation of church and state.

5) Request that the International Red Cross send a medical team to treat the wounded and the injured.

6) Request that a Team from an Amnesty International and a medical team from the International Red Cross to inspect the prisons and obtain the release of thousands of political prisoners.

7) Request that all world leaders immediately stop all diplomatic and economic relations with the Mullahs’ brutal regime. Specifically, we request that strict economic sanctions be imposed in regards with stopping any and all “Oil and Benzene” transactions. The Iranian people nullify and void any and all financial transactions made between current Iranian government and any foreign government as of the date of martyrdom of Neda and will not consider those government “a friend“ of Iranian people in Iran’s future.

8) Call for continued peaceful global demonstrations in support of Iranian movement for Regime Change till the call for a new referendum is achieved.
In summery, we the undersigned, acknowledge that the Islamic Republic of Iran’s repressive theocracy regime must end soon without further costs to human lives and we request for immediate and peaceful referendum in Iran through a democratic election process supervised by The United Nations peacekeeping forces as outlined above. We further discourage and condemn any forms of talks or appeasement with these terrorist Mullahs as well as any military intervention by any foreign armed forces except for the United Nations peacekeeping force.

217. Open Letter to Mr Khamenei

Versions / Verzioni /
http://open-letter-to-mr-khamenei.blogspot.com

Cher Monsieur,

En 1906 avec sa Révolution Constitutionnelle, le peuple iranien est un des premiers peuples de l’Asie à se battre pour établir une Démocratie moderne. La victoire de la Révolution est volée par l’Empire Britannique qui installe la dictature des Pahlavis ;

En 1951 vos compatriotes investissent les urnes et élisent un gouvernement dirigé par le Docteur Mossadeq. La nationalisation du pétrole iranien ne plait pas à tout le monde et la CIA, à l’aide du gouvernement Britannique, monte un coup d’état et réinstalle le dictateur déchu ;

En 1979 vos compatriotes, y compris vous-même, récidivent et se lèvent pour obtenir : l’Indépendance, la Liberté et la Justice Sociale. Ils arrivent à renverser le régime du Shah, mais la victoire de la Révolution est dépouillée par un groupe de ces dirigeants, auquel vous appartenez ;

Au printemps 1997 les Iraniens participent massivement aux élections présidentielles et au lieu d’élire votre candidat favori, élisent un démocrate, M. Mohammad Khatami. A l’aide de vos amis, et en tordant le cou aux lois que vous êtes supposé défendre, vous sabotez toutes les initiatives de ce gouvernement pour en faire un gouvernement fantoche ;

218. Support People of Iran

The Honourable The Prime Minister,

We, the undersigned, express our deepest concerns about the situation in Iran. The government of the Islamic Republic of Iran has failed to respect the outcome of an electoral process which had already been restricted to four trusted candidates. In reaction to the peaceful protests by citizens and voters who felt cheated, the government resorted to outright violence, further suppression of rights and restriction of all media coverage. University dormitories have been attacked and students and faculty savagely beaten and detained. Most tragically, tens of innocent citizens have already been killed.

In the past few days, the Iranian government has disregarded the aspirations of the citizens and their basic rights. The students and the youths of the country are being killed, injured and imprisoned.

Iranian citizens are calling for change.

219. Solidarity With Iranian People's Protests

On Friday 12th of June Iranian people voted in the presidential elections, many with much dissatisfaction about how they were ruled for the last four years, and with high hopes for a change. Yet Iranians woke up the following day to a result which many believe to have been rigged, becoming what many are now calling a coup d’état by the Ahmadinejad’s government, against the vote of the people.

There have been many issues surrounding the elections which have led to these allegations of fraud, including heavy censorship, arrests and repression of the reformists and their supporters, beatings and shootings at demonstrations by government forces which have led to high numbers of causalities and a growing number of deaths.

The escalation of censorship of newspapers, websites, TV and radio services around the elections have contributed to the reporting of the events surrounding this event extremely difficult. Many international human rights organizations including Amnesty international, Article 19, Reporters Sans Frontier, and others have expressed their dissatisfaction with the Iranian elections and the events that have followed it since.

The 2009 Iranian presidential election was held on June 12th, 2009. Reports indicate a large scale election fraud in favor of the incumbent president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. The Iranian people have come to streets in large numbers to protest the results.

Government militia forces are using extreme force to suppress the crowd. Among the most outspoken and most severely hit groups are university students all around Iran that are under attack and need your help.

223. Repeat Iranian Elections with National and International Monitoring

Outrage over the results of the 10th Iranian presidential election is widespread both in Iran and amongst the Iranians overseas.

The elections have been deemed faulty by the canditates Mir Hossein Mousavi Khamene, Mehdi Karroubi, Mohsen Rezaee Mirgha'ed, and a majority of the Iranian people.

The results announced by the government have sparked spontaneous protests of the Iranian people, all over the country, who have consequently been countered violently by the pro-government police and militia, against all democratic principles.

There are new approaches between Iran and USA after 30 years. Iranian government in the latest presidency election rigged the votes and Mr Ahmadinejad came out with fiction percentage of 62.

We all ask Mr Obama not to recognize Mr Ahmadinejad as Iranian president as it seems he got elected like a coup.

US supported Iranian regime in 50s to turn down by a coup. We strongly ask United States not to recognize Mr Ahmadinejad as Iranian President. That would mean that US supported another coup against the democracy in Iran.

The 2009 Iranian presidential election was held on 12 June 2009 in Iran, the tenth presidential election to be held in the country. The incumbent was Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

The Iranian reform movement attempted to unite behind former Prime Minister Mir-Hossein Mousavi. The turnout was very high with around 85 percent of the electorate voting. Unofficial results from within the interim ministry report Mousavi the absolute winner with 54% of the votes with Mehdi Karoubi and Ahmadinejad with 31% and 13% ranked after Mousavi.

In total denial of Iranian people's choice, the Islamic Republic's officials announced Ahmadinejad to be the winner and Iranians are repressed by military forces.

We would point out that the right of asylum, as laid out in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (art. 14) and finalized by the Geneva Convention, is one of the fundamental rights of human beings, and is recognised by civil countries to those fleeing from violence and persecution.

Turkey signed the Geneva Convention and has saved many human lives by acknowledging their status as refugees and offering them humanitarian protection. However, Turkey’s present policies where the rights of refugees and asylum seekers are concerned, have recently become more restrictive.

The judiciary has now ordered what's been termed a "quick and fair" appeal with President Ahmadinejad’s approval. Though, he has urged that Roxana should be allowed to offer a full defence during her appeal.

235. One Million Promises for Freedom of Thoughts and Speech
