The Urbz: Sims in the City was an absolutely amazing game which was a nice touch away from the traditional Sims games, where the player was an 'Urb', a Sim-ish character that travelled around the urban city and gain a reputation.
Also, there was a nice touch from a small appearance from the Black Eyed Peas.

3. Seek Justice and Equality for Actively Involved Parents
This petition is for the parents who play an active and vital role in their child or children’s lives. Unfortunately, for unmarried parents, the laws currently in place in Arkansas and states like it presumably assign one parent to be a “custodial parent” and the other as a “noncustodial parent”, without making a reasonable assessment to determining whether this is the best decision to make in regards to the child or children.
Therefore, this injustice causes an inequality for parents who are present in their child or children’s live by way of multiple levels of support. The laws possibly do this because traditionally one parent is the breadwinner while the other raises the child or children, but times change, and with the change of times comes a need for change of laws. Not all laws from yesteryear are applicable to today and the future, and that is why this petition urges lawmakers to revise statues such as “Arkansas Code of 1987 Title 9: Family Law (Subtitle 2: Domestic Relations).” to reflect the 21st century. If both parents play an equal role, then both parents should have equal parenting rights protected by the law, which leads this discussion to the concept of shared parenting.
Shared parenting refers to a collective agreement in child custody in which the care of the children is equal or substantially shared between the biological parents. More and more parents today are moving away from the traditional custody agreements that consist of a “custodial parent” and “noncustodial parent”. Instead, they are opting for shared parenting. In a shared (or joint) parenting agreement, both parents have almost equal physical custodial time with their children. Moreover, both parents are responsible for making the important decisions in their child's life. Shared parenting is a valiant attempt by both parents to be involved in their child's life for the benefit of the child. Shared parenting heavily involves both parents and does not mean that one parent has the kids almost all of the time with occasional visits to the other parent. This type of parenting is one of the best ways for unmarried parents to work together in the best interest of their child or children, especially when both parents are truly active in their child or children’s lives. Having both parents in a child’s life as true equals is in the best interest of the child. Out with the “Custodial/Noncustodial” and in with “Equal, Fair, and Balanced Parenting”. Shared parenting is more effective than ¾ parenting from one parent and ¼ parenting from the other and vice-versa. Of course, there are exceptions to the rule when one parent is inactive or significantly less active in a child’s life.
Shared parenting is great if both parents do it! Although, there has been a dark past of have the experience of one parent not being in their lives as much as they should or at times not being in their lives period. Those individuals most definitely do not need or deserve same rights as a true parent who is there day in and day out and actively present in their child’s life. Individuals who are not mature enough to be responsible parents make it difficult for those who are. This cause some of them fight back through use of the court system, but can end up being futile because the burden of proving that the other parent is “unfit” is left up to them to substantiate although the point of “fit” or “unfit” is not necessarily an issue. A hardworking parent who has a major part in their child’s life should not have to resort to such madness only to possibly secure their rights as a parent.
The law should be in the best interest of the child, and having both parents in a child’s life as true equals when both play pivotal roles in the child’s life is in the best interest of the child.
4. Support Scoliosis Checks in UK schools
Scoliosis is a severe curve to the spine. Little of the population know about scoliosis so aswell as raising awareness I am trying to make the number of severe cases in scoliosis drop by spotting the condition early by having checks in UK schools.
Usually scoliosis leads to a serious operation when the curve becomes to big injuring your heart and lungs, However the number of cases of people having the operation could drop if the new scheme was to take place
5. Reinstate Punjabi Hockey Broadcast
Punjabi is the fourth most spoken language in Canada after English, French and Chinese, according to an official census.
What began as a pilot project by CBC during the 2008 Stanley Cup Finals fired up Punjabis across Canada as they tuned in every week to watch NHL hockey games in Punjabi. Hockey Night in Canada's Punjabi Edition became a favorite past time for Punjabi families; an activity which was enjoyed by all generations of the family from Grandparents to Grandkids.
After the Punjabi broadcasts began, from within the community, stories were being shared about how the hockey games were bringing families together. Immigrant children had always wanted to watch hockey but older generations in the household did not always understand the game. Amazingly, youth, their parents, and grand-parents began watching the same show together, creating more family time and bringing generations together. Another incredible effect of the show was that new immigrants were getting a taste of Canadian culture. People who recently moved to Canada were able to learn the rules and partake in conversations about the sport at their work places, quickly becoming fans of the game.
The impact the broadcast has had on the community is tremendous, making South Asians feel more Canadian than ever before.
The Punjabi broadcasts were shown across Canada for free on Digital TV through Rogers, Shaw and Bell as well as online on cbcsports.ca. CBC has cited a lack of funding as the primary reason for cancelling the broadcast stating that online viewers reverted back to the regular English broadcast. However, the majority of viewers watched the Digital TV Punjabi broadcast rather than the online broadcast. CBC has yet to provide statistics for the Digital TV Broadcast.
Please sign this petition and send a message to CBC that Hockey Night in Canada’s Punjabi broadcast has tremendous support across Canada from the South Asian community.

On September 14th 2008 the BBC organised a concert for Andrew Lloyd Webber's 60th birthday in Hyde Park.

The show was aired on BBC radio 2 but never on TV, although BBC cameras filmed the event.

17. Equality in North Carolina Schools, No Matter What
What do you do when you have a problem at school? Do you talk to a teacher? Do you talk to a guidance counselor? What if someone were to threaten you because you were of a different race or religion? You’d tell someone. You’d make sure that the prejudice against you wasn’t acted upon. Why? Because it’s not right.
To threaten someone with bodily harm, whether or not there is intention to actually carry out the threat, based on race or religion or social status is absolutely not acceptable.
But what if you were threatened because you were gay or lesbian? What if you were harassed because of your bisexuality? What if you were denied basic rights because you were transgender? Would it be different? Would you simply keep quiet?
Issues of sexuality and gender-identity are not specifically addressed in North Carolina School Laws. Though there is a general safety policy protecting all students, issues relating specifically to your sexuality or gender may not apply.
So what do you do? How do you make it equal for everyone, despite sexuality, gender, race, ethnicity, ability, religion, social standing or identity? You specify the rules. You add “due to race, religion, sexuality, gender, or other factors” to the end of the harassment and bullying policies. You make hate-crimes absolutely unacceptable.
How do you do that? First off, you can sign this petition. It is moving to make sexuality and gender-identity or expression part of the hate crimes policy with in North Carolina public schools. It takes a stand on your behalf. So stand with us.

At the commencement of the 2007 season, the AFL Rules Committee made a change to the interpretation of the rule relating to the positioning of a player's hands in the back of an opponent.
They decreed that any form of contact made by the hand in the back of another player, whether to push or just position in a marking contest, was to be penalised with a free kick.
This was a change from the last twenty years, when a free kick was only awarded for a visible and forceful push in the back of an opponent.
The justification for the rule change was to ensure a fairer contest and promote the scoring ability of forwards.

Every human being in this world has the right to live in peace even in Sri Lanka. Since 1983 there has been nothing but political chaos in the iceland of Sri Lanka.

Before the tsunami, dec. 2004, there has been around 68.000 casualties due to the war. Tsunami death toll: around 40.000 and leaving 1.5 million people in poverty north, north east and south in Sri Lanka and even after the cruel disaster of the nature back in 2004, the civil-war escalated to continue taking 4.000 casualties the last 15 month. The fact is since 1983 Sri Lanka/Tamil Eelam has lost more then 100.000 people of it's population which seriously affecting the country in many many ways.
One of the importent topic is the poverty and casualties which the war (Northern regions) and Tsunami (North, North-East and South-East People) brought to the people of Sri Lanka/Tamil Eelam.
22. Inefficient and unregulated private universities of India, especially at Madras
How can we ensure private universities are held to high standards?
We can borrow the model from the corporate sector. Just as all companies are required by law to publish annual reports providing details of their assets, liabilities, profits and losses, the profiles of the board of directors and the management and various other financial information, every educational institution (whether public or private) should publish an annual report with details of the infrastructure and facilities available, profiles of the trustees and the administrators, the academic qualifications and experience of the staff, the courses offered, the number of students, the results of the examinations, the amount of funds available to the university and the sources of funding etc.
In addition, every educational institution must get itself rated by an independent rating agency like CRISIL, ICRA or CARE and publicly announce its rating to prospective students to enable the students to choose the institution they want to enroll in.
At one stroke, this will bring in transparency and ensure that every educational institution, whether public or private, is accountable not only to those students who are studying in the institution, but to prospective students and the public at large as well.
Public announcements of the financial and educational records of the institutions as well as their ratings by independent rating agencies will generate healthy competition between the various private institutions and will also put pressure on the Government funded institutions to work towards all-round improvement.
23. Against Low Income Condos or Houses Being Built in our Neighborhood
Charlotte has allowed a construction company to buy the golf course and passed zoning on building low income government supported housing.
Our neighborhood has already been subjected to increased crime rates and lowered property value.
If these low income government supported houses/apartments are allowed to be constructed in our predominately working class privately owned suburban neighborhood, then our property value will plummet. We will become what Charlotte calls a challenged neighborhood. The values will go down and crime will definately increase. Drugs will infiltrate our neighborhood, dealers will line the streets and crime will increase to high proportions.
We do not want anymore trouble. This project has to be terminated. The golf course is the supposed construction site. Those houses used to be worth at least 120,000 plus. After the government housing arrives those houses will be lucky to sell at all.
The city steadily increases our taxes, but wants to take away what we worked hard to achieve and will make our investments worth less than what we paid.
Please help by signing this petition to stop the construction of government housing in our neighborhood.

The "War on Terrorism" is going to force the draft to be reinstated. At the rate american soldiers are getting killed and the rate at which President Bush is attacking different countries, our military will be shortened causing the selective service AKA the DRAFT to be reinstated.

27. Re-introduce Capital Punishment for Child Killers
In the light of the recent abduction and murder of Jessica and Holly I believe that capital punishment should be re-introduced. Although our Government have signed the Human Rights Bill and say we cannot bring this back. I believe there is no such word as "Can't" and also that the Human Rights of the children have been taken away. Adults who kill children for their own gratification have no right to be protected by the Human Rights bill or campaign. So I believe this argument does not stand. Children have the right to live their lives unmolested by perverts.
