Residential Mandatory Disclosure of energy efficiency of existing homes is critical in our quest to make Australia less reliant on energy.
Picture a beautiful scene of nature and fields providing a home to millions of animals and birds. Imagine that this is also a home and livelihood for farmers and provides jobs for many other people too. There is such a place near where I live and now the Council wish to build a town here called Cranbrook.
Unless I get enough signatures here, they will be building to their original plans, and destroying the homes, jobs and livelihoods of both wildlife and people with bulldozers. While it is far too late to stop the building altogether, it is not too late for the Council to reduce their plans to build here. This would also be dangerous since they plan to build homes and other buildings there on the flood plains.
They say that this is necessary to reduce homelessness and to create jobs, but this is untrue because homelessness can be reduced by turning suitable old buildings into houses and work buildings, as well as reducing the housing costs. How would you like to be a wild animal and have your home destroyed for "economic reasons"?
I am appalled at the number of homeless people on the street and I am also appalled by the prejudice that these people face every day.
Things NEED to change for the better.
Solitaire Property Management have for the past 4 months sent letters to residents of Connaught Park in Tunbridge Well in Kent, presenting themselves as the landlord of Connaught Park and that every resident is oblige to Pay a sum of £152.54 as an estate charge and £917.87 as a service charge.
After having struggled to understand what the services charges included in the leaflets provided, the company mentioned said the charges are for services, repairs, maintenance, improvements and insurance ???
HERE IS THE FACT
Every resident will agree with me that this is a brand new property that has every modern facilities.
In addition, I am pretty sure that almost every individual resident has some form of content and building insurance, pay their council tax to cater for primarily rubbish waste, utility bills etc.
If this so-called company said that this excessive service charge is for services, repairs, maintenance, improvements etc.
The question is what improvements ?, what services ?, what insurance ? or repairs ?
Who contractually negotiated for them to to act as landlord?
Did Barratt Homes informed the residents of Connaught Park that this company will represent us?
How can a new modern two floor apartment or mansion that has no garden or communal amenities be either improved, maintained, serviced, or insured as claim by this company ?
The City of Cottleville Planning and Zoning Commission is conducting a public hearing on April 7, 2010 at 7:00pm to review a request from Twin Eagles, LLC to rezone Lots M7 through M11 of "The Courtyards at Harmony Ridge" and the Future Development Parcel on plat “The Lofts at Harmony Ridge, a Condominium” recorded under PB 45 PG 303 for use as multi-family residential development and commercial development.
If approved, this will allow Twin Eagles, LLC to build a multi-story apartment/condo complex in the same area as the courtyards, adjacent to current homeowners.
This land was intended for courtyard homes, not a multi-story building, and goes against everything we were told this community would be when we bought our homes. Rezoning this land would have an immensely negative effect on the quality of life in the neighborhood.
This is a petition against the proposed walking trail that is to be located to the rear of the homes that are located in the 5900 residential block of Deerfield.
Putting a sidewalks in would create problems with mandatory snow removal and it will take away at least 15 feet from the front of all homes involved. Parking your car would be almost nonexistent for yourself, and visitors. It will also cause loitering in from of your home. Emergency vehicles, would probably have a tough time getting close enough your residence.
The Stetson Hills CC&R's were written towards the aim of protecting our largest investment -- our homes. The Stetson Hills board of directors does not recognize that allowing unfinished wood on the private access gates of the homes in our community to become blackened over time is a detracting element which is negatively impacting our homes' values. Furthermore, the board does not acknowledge nor recognize that this is in violation of the CC&R's, which is the governing document of our association.
Specifically, the CC&R's brought to bear read as follows:
1.27 "Improvement" means: (a) any Residential Unit, building, fence or wall; (b) any swimming pool, tennis court, basketball court, road, driveway, parking area or satellite dish; (c) any trees, plants, shrubs, grass, granite or other landscaping improvements of every type and kind; (d) any statuary, fountain, artistic work, craft work, figurine, ornamentation or embellishment of any type or kind (whether or not affixed to a structure or permanently attached to a Lot or Parcel); and (e) any other structure of any kind or nature.
3.8 Repair of Buildings. No Residential Unit, building, structure or other Improvement on any Lot, Parcel or other property shall be permitted to fall into disrepair and each such Residential Unit, building, structure and other Improvement shall at all times be kept in good condition and repair and adequately painted or otherwise finished.
With the resignation of LA Animal Services General Manager Ed Boks in June 2009, Mayor Villaraigosa is now charged with appointing the next General Manager. Our job therefore is to build a successful campaign to build awareness and advocate for Mayor Villaraigosa to appoint a No Kill dedicated General Manager.
As concerned Los Angeles citizens, taxpayers, members of rescue groups and animal advocacy organizations and visitors to your city, we are appalled by:
1) the unconscionable number of animals killed in LA animal shelters. In 2008, LAAS reports that they killed over 19,600 animals, while only 26,285 were adopted (a 30% kill increase from 2007);
2) the horrific conditions in the shelters that cause animals to further suffer and deteriorate, and the killing of dogs and cats for space; and
3) the lack of accountability and outreach to the public by the Department of Los Angeles Animal Services (LAAS). Increasing public participation and volunteerism, including growing foster programs, are crucial to how other cities work towards and achieve No Kill results. Los Angeles is rich but under utilized with community support and compassion for animals.
The City od Norfolk is trying to rezone property located at 115 E. Liberty Street. The property is currently zoned as Commercial and they are trying to rezone it to Residential for the purpose of building eight (8) single family homes.
The rezoning of this property will prevent the future expansion of New Hope United Church of Christ.
Dear Mr Gordon Brown,
I have been trying to bring this about for 10 years and would like you to be aware that in my last campaign we had over 70,000 members. We would like you to consider setting up Safe Homes for suspected child abuse victims, where they can be immediately removed from their homes so that investigations can proceed. Social Services has proven to be very haphazard in different regions and we do not feel this is acceptable in this day and age.
Our children are being battered, under fed, scolded and betrayed by people who should be caring for them. Unfortunately with the drug culture we now have, it is impossible to keep track of how the children cope on a daily basis, and their cries for help are often left unheard. Unless these children are in the fold already how can you know what is going on behind closed doors? These children are being failed miserably as they are slip through the net!
The Safe Homes would be in every town and a specific childrens lifeline phone can be installed in every school where there can ask for help, or at nursery the school can inform us of what they suspect. Cafcass can then go in and report on their findings.
Council Houses can be used for this...and Nurses, Midwives and Foster care families can run them. Given the lack of jobs in this country now, this would boost local economy and give these children a safe haven to relax. The idea being any child can report their parents, or family for abuse, and if they know there is somewhere local they can go, the parents may think twice regarding hurting their children. Indeed many will lose their money for their drugs and they will forfeit the right to have access to their children until investigations have been completed. Those with nothing to fear will not mind, only those who keep their children just to get money for drugs are going to be horrified by this new move.
Please think about this as it is time a new system was created to prohibit any abuse whatsoever, and this is the way forward. Funds can be raised in each town by people who care enough and hard working volunteers are always available. Your Government does its best, but that IS NOT good enough as children are dying daily..and you all really need to see reality inside these sink estates, because once you have, your voice will be the first heard on the suffering of these children. We all want to help, so please make this a priority.
Safe Homes for Children... simple, effective and one that should not cost the earth to set up. Many thanks for taking the time to read this. I beg of you to act soon so that no more Baby Peters occur and blight the face of this Country.

The former RAF Yatesbury airfield dates back to WWI and the only reaming airfield with complete suite of buildings and hangars in the country. The hangars are listed Grade II* and believed to be the only remaining of it’s type in the world.
At the public inquiry, evidence was submitted by English Heritage that established that the site is of international, as well as national, importance. It retains “the best preserved flying field of the First World War period, bounded by one of the most complete suites of technical and hangar buildings of the period up to the end of the First World War period” and “the most complete of all 56 of the Civilian Training Schools built in the inter-war period”. At the time of its construction, this Flying School was singled out for praise by Flight Magazine which stated that “…they have unhesitatingly made at Yatesbury a model school whose pattern few will equal and none will better”.
English Heritage and Wiltshire County Council have spent great efforts to support the restoration of the airfield yet they failed to extend support at these difficult times by relaxing the onerous legal agreement they forced the owners to sign.
Jamal Khanfer has fought and waited 8 years before he succeeded in securing a planning consent, which ensures its survival for future generations. Jamal has sacrificed every thing possible to secure the consent financially, personally and gave up his very promising career.
The project is funded by RBS who have in October 2008 stopped funding the project. The project, however, remains widely supported by the local community and many associations as well as nationally and internationally.
Green Acres Property Owners' Association has been in effect since 1989. The association mail boxes have been centrally located. Since them many homes have traded ownership. With that in mind the majority of current home owners would like to have their mail box in front of their home instead of a neighborhood central location.
The mail boxes are being temporarily moved anyway because of road shoulder construction. The timing is perfect to make this change.
After the devastating news that the Labour Government will not provide the £112 million of funding desperately needed by SHP to improve tenants homes, Philippa is asking residents to sign her petition to call on the Government to reverse this decision.
Apartment property managers have recently agreed to escalated the cost of renting with a pet at the worse times. They have collectively raised Pet deposits to outrageous amounts ($250 - 300 per pet) with rent increase. There must be competition among the Nashville Tennessee property owners and equal housing opportunities.
Pet deposit fees are OUT OF control in Nashville Apartment Complexes. We must unite to save housing for pets and pet owners.
Even though tenants are quickly vacating apartment complexes that price gouge pet owners, there are few places to move too. This is tramatizing the pets and some are not keeping the homes they have.
We must act now to prevent pets from being abandoned and homeless because the greed of apartment owners/managers. Sign a petition for state legislators to cap the apartment cost of pets or to investigate the collusion of the property associations in forcing pet owner out of their homes.
We, the residents of Cassia County are strongly opposed to the proposed corridor of the Gateway West Project through private property.
We feel it should be placed on as much public ground as possible to protect our families, our homes, and our businesses.
We should not have to submit ourselves to undo risks when there are other alternatives. We support our county commissioners in routing the project through public grounds.
After a mine fire that started in Centralia PA in 1962, the residents of that town were convinced by the Department of Environmental Resources now the Department of Environmental Protection and the Federal Office of Surface mining that there town was unsafe. They provided money for the residents to move and tore down their homes.
About 10 families refused to move because they knew the mines and knew the fire would not get to them. After losing all appeals, they are being forced from their homes even though the fire hasn't progressed in 47 years. Please help the final residents of Centralia, PA.
Due to a unique and potentially precedent setting misapplication of several extensive liquor licenses for Sushi Hai/Hai Bar, a large nightclub with entrances on residential Lowell Boulevard south of Highlands Square, we are experiencing a serious deterioration in the quality of life and basic moral values of our neighborhood.
Thru this petition, we are hoping to raise awareness of this issue with fellow residents, businesses and government officials. We hope this effort not only helps remedy the current situation via revocation of the licenses in question, but also serves as a marker to other businesses of this type attempting to place themselves in similarly inappropriate locations and unacceptable configurations throughout the wider Highlands neighborhood.
Not a Coincidence
Since Sushi Hai was granted a wide array licenses to expand to a two-hundred seat nightclub with entrances on a residential section of Lowell Boulevard south of 32nd Street (the so-called Hai Bar) we have witnessed a dramatic increase in disturbances and acts of vandalism. These incidents include, but are not limited to: assaults; persistent noise ordinance violations; littering; public urination and defecation; destruction of gardens; beer bottles thrown against homes; trespassing; patrons smoking and drinking alcohol in front of Sushi Hai against city ordinances. On Saturdays and Sundays since expansion, residential properties adjacent to Sushi Hai are and are now often littered with cigarette butts, partially filled liquor bottles and half eaten containers of sushi. A recent survey of the residents revealed that since Sushi Hai expanded to become the largest club in Highlands Square, over fifty calls were made to DPD emergency and non-emergency line concerning Sushi Hai and it’s patrons.
We stand certain that the dramatic increase in these incidents was made possible by the extensive and irresponsible liquor licensure of this business in its current inappropriate location. Due to these shortsighted policies, Sushi Hai is now one of the largest establishments of it’s kind in all of west Denver. Most offensively to us, its two entrances are located well down on residential Lowell Boulevard, it shares an interior wall with an eighty-year resident, and it has been licensed for liquor sales until 2 a.m. – keeping them open a full two hours later than all other establishments on the square.
Disturbances and Violence
According to the letter of the law and due to their close proximity to residential homes, Sushi Hai and their patrons violate city noise ordinances on a nightly basis. On Friday and Saturday evenings, the situation becomes oppressive. By 11:00 pm noisy patrons can be seen and heard loitering on the sidewalks on their way to Sushi Hai, often with open liquor containers. By 2:00 a.m, after all the other neighborhood establishments have been closed for two hours, it’s usually at it’s worst. Over served patrons yell, scream, and carry on loud conversations without regard to residents sleeping just a few feet away. We are also regularly awakened to the sights and sounds of Sushi Hai patrons returning to their parked cars to drink, listen to loud music, and continue their festivities. They have been seen throwing empty bottles, cans, and other trash, including used condoms, into our yards as they drive away.
There have also been violent scenes. A few months ago, a large and bloody street brawl erupted among Sushi Hai patrons, and spilled south down Lowell Boulevard. It resulted in a young man laying bleeding and unconscious in the middle of Lowell Boulevard, directly in front of a neighbor’s home. Of course the accompanying ambulances and police cars were a further disturbance, albeit a welcomed one. On a Saturday night in April, two households were awakened at 1:25 a.m. by an over served woman on the stairs Sushi Hai yelling unintelligibly. Neighbors called the non-emergency police number. She was physically restrained by a Sushi Hai security guard/DPD officer for thirty minutes, yelling and screaming a few feet from residents homes, and finally began screaming, Rape, Rape, Rape. Those who heard were horrified and called police emergency. She was finally picked her up in a paddy wagon after 2 a.m. One warm midnight last fall as windows were open and music blared from the car parked in front of his house, the father of a sick infant, went to the car and politely requested that the occupants decrease the volume. The father, who recognized the men as Sushi Hai patrons, was threatened that if he didn’t stop harassing them, he would be shot. That family will be moving from this Highlands neighborhood in May.
FAMILIES ARE LOSING THEIR HOMES at an alarming rate. Our local and state governments are too cash poor to give financial aid and with so much job loss, cities and states are collecting much less tax money from the employed and less sales tax because there is less money to spend with so many people being out of work.
THOSE FEW LEADERS that would ordinarily be inclined to help have no money in their city and state budgets to give to those families that are losing their homes to stop the foreclosures.
THE GOOD NEWS IS “we can help ourselves and others”.
There are MANY CHURCH PASTORS that are among the wealthiest people in the United States. Hundreds of millions of dollars are raised by non profit activity each year, but in many cases much of that money is going to building more buildings for their non profit operations, to purchase jet planes, big houses and to support the lavish lifestyles of the rich heads of those non profit organizations.
The JIM WALK MINISTRIES, founded in 1991, the Oversee of the Embassy of New Jerusalem on line church, has a good record. We are seeking your support in petitioning governors and mayors across the county to permit the raising of one hundred million dollars each year for five years to redistribute all (less operational costs) in non-repayable cash grants to families in danger of losing their homes to foreclosure and to assist home buyers with a non-repayable cash grant to help purchase of a home.
Credit score is not a consideration. Social Security recipients with a related joint purchaser may apply. Early registration is an option.
600 to 1000 grant recipients will be chosen by random selection from accumulated funds of one hundred million dollars within your state of application.
After signing this petition below, please take a tour of our modest web site and leave us a word of support. just click on the web site link above and come walk with us through this storm. God be with us.
Pastor Jim Walk Sr.
Our recommendations are:
1) That all Health Care Aids and Personal Support Workers should be regulated, organized and accountable.
2) That there be stricter screening of Personal Support Workers before enrollment in courses.
3) That all schools are providing proper education and training of Personal Support Workers. We need more quality, not just quantity.
4) That the practice of handing out Personal Support Worker certificates to keep Canada's unemployment rate down, be ceased.
5) That a much needed support group, to help Health Care Aids and Personal Support Workers deal with the many issues that face them every day, be established.
6) That a stronger network be built with employers, registered staff and the public, so we can enhance the lives of our seniors, eliminate seniors abuse and improve working conditions for front line workers.
The government bailed out many business places against the will of the people. We as Americans have been abused by congress as they go against the voices of Americans, congress has caused a great part of this recession and why should we allow these people to take our future and monies from our children especially when the congress has decided to give banks the run and say to create mortgages for the lower income people to have homes , but also have the fed banks write loans like 80/20 loans with no money down yet the loans were either compromised to go either way especially when a family wanted a thirty year fix rate they would get one but the trick was either on the regular primary note or the junior loan which was set at a high rate locked in for 30 years at 13%.
Then told with two mortgages once you were signed into it later you wouldn`t be able to refinance because you have one loan even though you have two mortgages, then they gave you a two year arm at 7.0250% nthen after two years up it went. They used language to make you feel as though you had a good mortgage fix for thirty years, but no where to be found on the primary note. The language was the killer and people trusted the lender and they took millions for the money, and now the bail out money is buying the mortgages back.

Whether you blame the arrival of the Hamptons development for the increased traffic problems on Central Road or not, the fact remains that these problems exist and will not be alleviated by the addition of a likely 343 new residents with accompanying vehicles on the site.
We are worried that already over-stretched GP provision will struggle, and may have an impact on other local services.
The housing targets for Gloucestershire over the next 18 years are 56,400 houses as imposed by the Regional Spatial Strategy (RSS) for the South West.
We believe this is excessive and completely unsustainable, the need is unproven and that it will cause greenfield and greenbelt land to be built on unnecessarily. The target relies on economic growth per year of 3.2% (very doubtful in current circumstances), and a high ratio of homes per job of 1.5 (it was 1.39 between 1991 and 2004). The target also relies on attracting many workers from other parts of country and abroad to jobs that do not yet exist and it is doubtful could be created.
We believe a local need should be proven and the focus should be on affordable homes within existing towns and villages. As such we believe the target should be substantially reduced.
The brownland first strategy has been abandoned by the RSS and this will lead to the destruction of greenfield sites because they are cheaper to develop and so are particularly attractive for developers wishing to maximise profit.
The resulting sprawl caused by Urban Extensions will cause loss of wildlife, loss of recreation space, loss of the historic character of towns and villages, increased flooding, increased CO2 emissions and increased traffic.
We believe that if the targets are reduced, a brownland first strategy is maintained and local need is proven before building, then the destruction of greenfield sites and urban sprawl can be avoided.
Over the past 6 years, we have lived in a calm and peaceful residential area. Many of our neighbors have made wonderful changes to their homes which has made our community here around Bissell Street seem more lively and friendly. Most importantly violence free. We live in a residential area.
Lets get together and keep it that way. Lets not allow anyone come build a laundry mat which will change it all for many of us. Some of our neighbors would be forced to move if we allow this to happen, our street will not longer be a residential area. We would be exposing ourselves to losing the safety of our community.
Myxomatosis is a deadly strain of virus that affects the European and Cottontail rabbits, and there is currently no vaccination available in Australia against this virus.
The myxomatosis virus was originally spread through the American wild rabbit population during the late 1800’s and was subsequently introduced into Northern Australia and its relative parts so as to control the rabbit problem in crops and other plantations around Queensland. It managed to control the pest problem, devastatingly reducing the rabbit population from 600 million to 100million in two years.
The ones that survived developed a strong immunity to the disease, and as a result wild rabbits are more immune now to myxomatosis than when the virus strain was implemented into Australian rabbit populations during the 1950s.
There is however, no vaccination currently available in Australia to domestic rabbits and they remain at a constant risk to contracting the virus. Myxomatosis usually proves fatal for any rabbit exposed to it, and they can die as soon as 48 hours after being exposed to the virus.
In all of the states in the United States of America there is a law limiting the darkness of car tinting.
A tinted car can be probable cause for your vehicle to be stopped and searched.
Is this law going too far? If you believe yes, then sign this petition. If you believe "no" then leave a comment.
A large number of Gisborne residents will receive natural gas to their homes by February 2008.
However, there is another section of Gisborne which is located over the Calder Freeway, Emmeline Drive, Panorama Drive, and McGregor Road which is home to a large number of residents. These residents are not listed to receive the much needed natural gas to their homes.
Windsorland has been around for over 30 years many people have worked hard and long to make these mobilehomes our homes.
We are part of the community our kids have grown up here and many attend the schools. We are one of the last family parks.
Now they want to make condos and a store, by closing a family park with well over 90 families living there.
