Noone could artificial develop anything as environmentally friendly as this sand-trapping solution, ingeniously invented to the beach by a storm. Let alone as cost effective.

All Theses Shows Were Amazing and filled our lives with joy But something else that was fantastic was the Promos and There Old Logo. There New Logo is so boring and bland.

They stopped making those shows in favor of shows that are suitable ONLY for younger audiences (age 7 and down). We want to get these shows back on the air as re-runs.

An Applebee's waitress who posted a receipt with a note from a pastor complaining about the automatic gratuity added to the bill on the Internet was fired on Wednesday after the pastor complained to her manager.

Chelsea Welch, the waitress, wrote in an email to Yahoo News that the pastor (who has since been identified as Alois Bell) told Welch's manager at the St. Louis-area Applebee's that the ensuing firestorm had "ruined" her reputation.

"I give God 10%," Bell wrote on the receipt, scratching out the automatic tip and scribbling in an emphatic "0" where the additional tip would be. "Why do you get 18?" (There were more than eight people in Bell's party, triggering the auto-tip.)

Did you know that, in this country, that there are dog pounds that kill strays if they are not claimed after seven days? In fact, one dog is killed every hour by local authorities in this country.

Stray dogs are NOT always pure mean or vicious. Not all of them were abandoned or born as strays; some of them may have just been abused/neglected that no one else knew or cared about and they just ran away. Some of them may have even been bred as companions and they just got lost or stolen and hadn't had chance to bond with their people beforehand.

I used to walk dogs for a shelter. A lot of the ones that I walked there had been strays before coming in and at least some of them were absolutely lovely.

If a stray dog has had a home before, and been socialised and trained properly, there is about as much chance of someone being attacked by that one as there is of them being attacked by any other dog. Stray dogs are still part of the same "man's best friend" species; they just happen to be homeless, that's all.

There has even been at least one case of a stray dog protecting and caring for young kids. Do you really think that such a devoted hero is likely to attack anyone unless provoked?

A lot of people may tell you that, because they are not purebreds, they do not have equal rights. What a total load of nonsense. ANY dog of ANY breed or type can become a stray if, say, the owner dies and no one else who would want them knows about them.

Also, why don't mixed breeds matter as much as purebreds? Surely if you love dogs, that should include them as well? The quality of believing that pedigree dogs are superior to so-called "faulty mongrels" that can actually be just as good-tempered and obedient as any purebred reminds me of the qualities exhibited by the Nazis, i.e their belief that the pure German and Aryan races are superior to all others. Did you also know that the Nazis used to often be hateful to the people who not considered to be "pure" as well?
Stray dogs DO NOT need to be killed. All it would take would be for the UK Government to require everyone except licensed and fully-checked and approved breeders to spay/neuter their dogs and require all authority dog pounds to always at least try to put the dogs in rescue spaces instead of killing them once their seven days in there are up.

Spaying and neutering actually does more good than harm. It can help to prevent the animals in question from getting certain cancers such as that of the uterus and testis, and it can make them live longer.

There has been a rise in rape cases across all states of India. Recently there was a severe case against a 23 year old medical student who was brutally assaulted and raped by a group of men. Some men take law into their hand as we are very smooth with them even after they get caught. A case runs for years and their is no justice given to victim. How long can this go.

We need severe measures to protect our women. Take measures before it happens. Install camera everywhere possible and have a thorough check of each vehicle at night time. Remove all tinted glasses from 4 wheelers.

When a detainee is booked into a jail, with the exception of few counties in Michigan, they are not given any type of mental health screening. The rate of mentally ill peoples incarcerated has quadrupled over the past six years.

The estimated population of mentally ill persons incarcerated is 1.25 million, five times higher than that of the general public. Upon entry into the corrections facility, those who are aware of their mental health issue and report them, can be forced to wait up to three months to receive mental health care; this amount of time varies by county and can be significantly higher. We believe this is a violation of basic human rights.

With the implementation of a standardized mental health screening test, such as the GAIN-SS screen, those who are truly in need will be identified immediately at the time of incarceration. The usage of such a mental health screening does not cost the tax payers any money, does not require specialized training, and only takes about five minutes to complete. By identifying and aiding those with mental health problems, we also reduce the rate of recidivism. Please take the time to sign this petition.

We still love Yo Gabba Gabba! I love a the seasons, especially season 4 however, after the "Olympics" episode in the 19th of August and later on, the makers of the show hasn't came up with any newer episodes so far!

What I really think they're actually doing are slacking off with those outrageous Aquabats for "The Aquabats Super Show" on the Hub channel while their characters are set of for more live tours. Will someone just make a stink'n Season 4 episode??!? I have long dreamt that the creators of Rugrats and Blue's Clues would came back to revive their tv shows and make more episodes because they make some amazing animations!

Over 70% of Nunavut families with children between the ages of 3-5 are food insecure. Poverty, climate change and high food prices mean that many families in Nunavut go hungry.

The UN Rapporteur recently issued a report about Canada's 800,000 families who are food insecure, calling food insecurity in our country a "great concern". The Conservative MP for Nunavut, Leona Aglukkaq, shamed Nunavummiut with her immature and out-of-touch response to the UN Rapporteur.

More than 17,000 pills smuggled into country have been intercepted since last August. Pills viewed as a “miracle cure” for all ailments – but unsurprisingly they are harmful.

Thousands of pills filled with powdered human flesh have been discovered by customs officials in South Korea, it was revealed today.

The capsules are in demand because they are viewed as being a medicinal “cure-all”.

The grim trade is being run from China where corrupt medical staff are said to be tipping off medical companies when babies are aborted or delivered still-born.

Dead baby pills: This is ground baby powder which tests discovered is 99.7 per cent human last year. South Korean officials have stopped 17,000 dead baby pills being imported since last August

The tiny corpses are then bought, storedin household refrigerators in homes of those involved in the trade before they are removed and taken to clinics where they are placed in medical drying microwaves.

Once the skin is tinder dry, it is pummelled into powder and then processed into capsules along with herbs to disguise the true ingredients from health investigators and customs officers.

The discoveries since last August has shocked even hardened customs agents who have pledged to strengthen inspections.

Chinese officials are understood to have been aware of the trade and have tried to stop the capsules being exported but thousands of packets of them have been smuggled through to South Korea.

Εδώ και μερικά χρόνια (από τα σχέδια ακόμα της υποθαλάσσιας οδού στην παραλία της Θεσσαλονίκης) είναι στα πλάνα της πολιτείας η καταστροφή του πάρκου για skateboard που εντάσσεται στο γενικότερο χώρο του πάρκου του Φωκά. Μετά από πολλές επαφές και ομιλίες τους τελευταίους μήνες με Δημάρχους, Αντιδημάρχους, Αρχιτέκτονες (σχεδιαστή του πάρκου, μελετητή της νέας παραλίας και επιβλέπων των έργων),
και παρότι όπως ανακοινώθηκε ότι το να γίνει αλλαγή σχεδίων και να παραμείνει το πάρκο αντί να γίνει στην θέση του πάρκο σκύλων (όπως είναι προγραμματισμένο) δεν αλλάζει χρηματικά την δαπάνη η το χρονοδιάγραμμα των έργων, δεν δίνει κανένας το πράσινο φως να σταματήσουν οι εργασίες.

Το πάρκο του ¨Φωκά¨ είναι το πρώτο πάρκο στην Ελλάδα σχεδιασμένο και κατασκευασμένο αποκλειστικά για πατίνια (skateboard).

Κατασκευάστηκε με πρωτοβουλία του Δήμου Θεσσαλονίκης το 1984-85 και είναι φτιαγμένο από μπετόν.

Αν και το άθλημα του skateboard δεν ήταν ακόμα ευρέος γνωστό στην Ελλάδα εκείνη την εποχή παρόλα αυτά ο Δήμος Θεσσαλονίκης μπόρεσε να οραματιστή την εξελικτική πορεία του αθλήματος και με την κίνηση του αυτή κατάφερε να μεταδώσει το όραμα του στους νέους ξεκινώντας έτσι μια καινούργια εποχή για την πορεία του skateboard στην χώρα μας.

Παρόλο που το πάρκο ονομαζόταν εξαρχής πάρκο Φαλήρου, λόγο της περιοχής στην οποία άνηκε, στην πορεία των χρόνων υιοθέτησε το όνομα ¨Φωκά¨ μιας και τo κομμάτι του πάρκου που ήταν για πατίνια αποτελούσε προέκταση του παιδότοπου ¨Φωκά¨ που ήταν δωρεά του Οδυσσέα Φωκά και από τον οποίο είχε πάρει και το όνομά του.

Μπορεί το πάρκο μην έχει κάτι το ιδιαίτερο κατασκευαστικά και οι αρχικές του κλήσης να έχουν χαλάσει μετά την ανάπλαση του, αλλά όπως και να έχει είναι ένα μοναδικό πάρκο το οποίο εξυπηρετεί όλα τα επίπεδα αθλητών, έχει κυκλικό σχήμα με αποτέλεσμα να μπορούν να αθλούνται πολλά παιδιά ταυτόχρονα, είναι αρκετά μεγάλο ώστε να χωράνε επιπρόσθετες κατασκευές/ράμπες για να καλύψουν τις ανάγκες της εκάστοτε εκδήλωσης/διαγωνισμού, είναι το κεντρικότερο πάρκο της παραλίας με ασφαλή διέλευση από τις περισσότερες περιοχές της πόλης και τέλος είναι το πιο πολυσύχναστο πάρκο της παραλίας από την πρώτη μέρα κιόλας της δημιουργίας του.

Το πάρκο του ¨Φωκά¨ ως τώρα έχει ¨μεγαλώσει¨ πάνω από έξη γενιές skateboarders και έχει ¨βγάλει¨ σπουδαίους αθλητές, αλλά αυτή την στιγμή κινδυνεύει μιας και στα σχέδια της πολιτείας είναι να το γκρεμίσει στα πλαίσια της ανάπλαση της παραλίας την Θεσσαλονίκης.

Ο μοναδικός και υγιής τρόπος διεκδίκησης του πάρκου είναι να είμαστε όλοι καθημερινά εκεί παρόν δείχνοντας έτσι ότι το πάρκο έχει ακόμα ζωή και έχει σκοπό να φιλοξενήσει πολλές γενιές ακόμα.

Energex have plans to construct high voltage (Dual 33kv -110kv )cement poles & power lines through an area that has been classified as remnant vegetation containing endangered ecosystems.

There is an abundance of wildlife such as platypus , birds, bandicoots, koala habitat, butterflies and much more. Rare flora have been recorded in this unique regional importance ecosystem.

Energex refuse to even look at the option to place the power lines unground through this portion of sensitive Glasshouse Mountains land. They deny any accountability for tree clearing, claim no accountability for the destruction and annihilation of 1000 to 2000 + trees & shrubs! There are other viable alternatives for Energex to consider!

MOU standards dictate they must source alternate options when endangered environment is present & living!!

Many states have a NSPCA humane force A.K.A animal cops. Las Vegas does not have one. We need one desperately. We need one NOW! The abuse has become so bad that even my next door neighbors are doing it.

1 in 10 Canadians in the workforce who are employed are working in what would be considered temporary job.

Between 1989 and 1994, the number of Canadians employed on a temporary basis increased by 21 per cent, from 799,000 to 970,000 workers.

Seventy-five per cent of temporary jobs last less than six months and as a result, many temporary workers are excluded from various legal protections and employee benefits.

Temporary agents are not paid for days away from the job due to sickness, statutory holidays, bereavement or vacation leave, nor are they entitled to severance pay upon termination of their employment.

Employers are not required to pay unemployment insurance premiums or Canada/Quebec Pension Plan premiums on behalf of these workers.

Temporary employment is an important issue with substantial policy implications. Too many workers today are unable to string together enough temporary jobs in a year to provide them with an adequate income or security. Moving from one contract to the next, many individuals are left with only part-time work and irregular hours, and rarely with any of the non-wage benefits like pensions or unemployment insurance.

Clearly the emergence of these new forms of employment has implications for a wide range of policies and programs.

In short, temporary employment in some of its current forms is eroding the economic security of Canadian families.

Please help Chinese girl, Cheng Li Ellison, free her mother from prison in China. Her mother is a Falun Gong practitioner; and the only crime she committed was distributing pamphlets about the practice of Falun Gong.

She was put in prison without trial or sentence, and no one is able to contact her. Cheng's father too afraid of the power of the government, so is unwilling to help - even the person is his own wife.

Cheng is now married to an Australian citizen and planned to bring out her parents to Australia with her; however now, that dream seems very far away.

Worst Christmas story: Wisconsin vs. deer, article by John Kass @Chicago Tribune. The State of Wisconsin wants to kill Charlotte a deer, who thinks she is a horse.

Charlotte was rescued by Marvin Graaf and is being threatened with up to eight months in jail and a fine of up to $2,000.00. Some 15 months ago a mother deer and her fawn were hit by a car. The mother died and the fawn had been dragged by the car. Only her ear was torn. Charlotte stayed in the same spot where her mother died and wouldn't leave. A neighbor knew a man that had rescued other animals. For four days Charlotte, the fawn, just stood there where her mother died. She wouldn't eat. She was dying. Marvin was able to nurse her back to good health.

In August, the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources sent officers to Graaf's home to kill Charlotte. Graaf refused to release Charlotte to them. She threatens no one by staying on Graaf's farm running with her horse friends.

Airsoft has enjoyed a huge increase in popularity recently. Along with the rise, Airsoft has also gotten a lot of press as to whether the guns are safe or not. So are they? The answer is Yes and No; here's why.

Before we go any further it is important to understand that Airsoft guns are not toys. They are highly detailed firearm simulations that fire plastic 6mm BBs at muzzle velocities of 100-400FPS. Like paintball guns, they are designed for use under controlled, private environments, and should be treated like a real fiream. Used correctly, airsoft is a fun way participate in paintball-like competitions and/or to enhance military simulations/training. Having airsoft legal and places for skirmish, this will lead a decrease of obesity rate, as it not only help heavier people to lose wait and also train Singaporean about urban warfare, this will again attract foreigners to come to Singapore to have an airsoft "war" this also can strengthen bond with other country , making SG a peaceful country. Government can banned lousy protective gears like mesh goggles and allow such good quality airsoft / paint ball mask makers like onimaru to open a shop here if it's successful it will have permission to expand there business and again this will attract foreigners . This can allow Singapore to be a cosmopolitan country, again lead to attracting of permanent residents, which helps overcome the ageing population and shrinking of work force, therefore SG can adapt to other culture experience for example Halloween which people in Singapore are starting to celebrate.

But if people uses airsoft for bad intend , like robbing the bank, strict doers can be given to police to shoot them, without giving in and also patrol areas like void decks and so. Here are some airsoft rules
1: airsoft gun should be kept away from children.
2: when airsoft guns are not in use , make sure gun on safe mode, battery remove, magazine remove , change back flashlighter to an orange or red one.
3: when going to skirmish , keep rifle in a gun bag , do not be a hero and expose them to public before reaching skirmish ground.
4: protective gears must be present at all times
5: never flash an airsoft gun out in public even if you are going to head to a repair shop,make sure the airsoft gun is fully conceal and not visible to public
6: airsoft guns must be treated like real fire arms don't do stupid things like looking into the barrel, shooting people and animals( when they are not wearing protective gears and are not playing with you) don't do stupid things like shooting at other people's property
7: only allow singaporeans and PRs to buy airsoft guns locally , cannot buy from other country to Singapore through hand carry , ( exception for exclusive club members only]only can oder through Internet but must be checked by the airsoft profesionals and arm and explosives department . Only replica accessories like sights and scope can be brought into Singapore by hand carry through luggages.
8: any airsoft guns with a muzzle velocity of over 500fps will not be allowed or must be powered down.
9: no metal or paint bbs can be sold in Singapore or ordered[although this generation of airsoft guns have been provent that cannot fire metal bbs and also modified in to real fire arm.]
10: only airsoft guns can be brought without licnese if it a spring operated , not 1:1 scale ,bright coloured and less than a muzzle velocity of 100fps.
11: all airsoft vest and and uniform must not be the same as the SAF uniform or vest.
12: orange tip must be present at all times unless in skirmishes, if not person will be fine or even jailed

Singapore can hire professionals to educate our citizens on airsoft safety and how to differ an airsoft from a real firearm and also EDUCATE ADULTS to not foolishly allow children to play with their airsoft guns.
