Many species are threatened to go extinct and the ozone layer is getting damaged (a cause for concern over cancer). Pollution and climate change together are estimated to be killing millions of people and costing the world over a trillion dollars each year and rising.

If nothing is done to control global warming and pollution, our children and grandchildren will have it much worse.

By stepping up efforts to reduce greenhouse gases and pollution, we can safeguard millions of people, plants and animals in the near future and in future generations. Tell our governments and world leaders to take more swift action to replace polluting industries with greener technologies to ensure a healthy future for our planet.

We, the undersigned residents of Canada, draw attention of the House to the following:

THAT the government of Canada has recently made changes to the eligibility requirements for unemployment insurance (UI);

THAT these changes have been made behind closed doors without any input from the ordinary Canadian citizens who are affected by such policies and these changes will negatively affect the livelihood of numerous Canadians;

THAT the adopted changes will negatively impact Canadians nation wide, in particular they will impact those Canadians who live in rural areas in which the economy is dependent upon seasonal employment.

We feel that the adopted changes to the unemployment eligibility criteria will force people out of their specialized occupations into unskilled, low wage jobs. In addition, we agree that Canadian individuals will be forced to look for employment at great distances outside their area of residence causing them to incur unreasonable time commitments and travel costs.

Combined, we feel these changes may lead to increased poverty for unemployed individuals as well as the families which they support.

With the right leaders things gradually improved in 1999 when Musharraf came into power and slowly Pakistan was developing as a nation in every aspect of good achievements for Pakistan.

However one by one those good moments from Pakistan was melting like a cube of ice melting as the time continues. One of the biggest reason Pakistan has suffered is because of The news media which brought more negativity by only telling the negatives in Pakistan , splitting views of people , confusing people , Dividing people by making politicians fight on personal likes and dislikes. This news media has totally damaged the view of Pakistan as being a progressive nation. If you go search on Wikipedia every news channels broadcast on our television is privately owned channels, which has no proof of any non-relation of the owner with party leaders. Anyone can buy a portion of time by paying channels to express their views by hiding the realities for their own benefits so i think there should be a law which should limit the channels by making them non private so people from different walk of life invest in the channels and so channels cannot broadcast something for their own personal likes , dislikes or being attached to one view.

Justice for All

Please register your 'Call for a Royal Commission into the Banking Sector of Australia', with broad terms of reference.

Many Australians are victims of Full Doc, Low Doc and No Doc LAF fraud in Australia. The President of BFCSA (Inc), Ms Denise Brailey, recently spoke at a Senate Hearing in Canberra and produced undeniable and indisputable evidence of Australian banks and lenders' widespread involvement in Loan Application Fraud.

There are countless victims who have had their houses and businesses taken illegally by the banks.

There is also the serious situation of regulators turning a blind eye to consumer complaints and the same regulators supporting the banks. The regulators are hiding behind flawed legislation and their own internal policies.

This petition will be presented to the Australian Government to indicate the Will of the People that a Royal Commission into the banking sector must be instigated as a matter of urgency.

By reducing council benefit payment by 14% on one extra bedroom and 25% on two extra bedrooms, the government are forcing people to; either, move home (in some cases further from family and support networks) or, to find the deficit from already meagre funds.

This will affect not only people on income support and other benefits, but those on a low income who need housing benefit assistance to meet everyday needs. A disabled person with a partner who is their carer will still only be allowed a one-bedroom property.

Therefore, if the relationship were to end for any reason, and a live-in carer was needed, it would mean yet another move! Children of the same sex will have to share a bedroom until one of them were to move away from home, making many home environments impossible to live within.

As for your right to have family or friends come and stay, not an option! If; like me, you are against the control that is being exerted in EVERY aspect of your life, PLEASE sign this petition, and let's see if we CAN make a change! Thank you.

My name is Jacob Butcher, I am 25 years old, have lived in the Mat-Su Borough for 16 years, and am a father of three children. My Children are 6 year old, (currently attends and plays soccer at Goose Bay Elementary), 2 year old, and my daughter, 6 month old. The safety of my children is obviously my number one priority in life. I go to great lengths to ensure they are fully protected from any and all avoidable dangers in their and my life.

I am writing to you as a concerned resident of the Mat-Su Borough. I was recently researching the registered sex offenders that live in my area in an attempt to be fully aware for my childrens' safety; in the process of doing so, I found that among the many in my area, one in particular, a Mr. Kenneth Lynn Griffeth, has taken up residency off of Valley View Dr which is a road off of Vine Rd. The subject that lives here has been convicted of sexual abuse of a minor in the 2nd degree. I take issue with his residency as the backyard of his property backs up the playground of Knik and Goose Bay Elementary Schools. I contacted the sex offender registry office in Anchorage and was advised that unless somebody is on conditions or probation, that sex offenders are free to take up residency wherever they like.

This brings a sickening feeling to my gut knowing that a person who is capable of such a heinous act would have free access to grounds filled with our children which we presume to be safe at school. I am now aware that there are no rules or residency restrictions in place for convicted sex offenders as to restrict their access to places such as elementary schools, middle schools, or parks and playgrounds; I am writing you in a request that this issue may be addressed by our state legislature in hopes of having tighter restrictions placed on people convicted of such crimes.

Currently there are 21 states in the United States which have adopted sex offender residency laws and restrictions. Examples as follows:

Tennessee - Statutory Citation 40-39-[2]11(a)-(b)
"A sex offender cannot live within 1,000 feet of schools, childcare facilities, or the victim."

Oklahoma - Statutory Citation OSA tit. 57 SS590
" A registered sex offender cannot live within 2,000 feet of a school."

Ohio - Statutory Citation 2950.031(A)
"A sex offender may not live within 1,000 feet of any school, childcare facility or place where children gather"

These are only a few examples of the ordinances and laws enforced in other states. More follow the same suit including Alabama, Arkansas, California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, MIssouri, Oregon, South Dakota, Texas, Washington and West Virginia.

It is my hope that this issue may be addressed before the unthinkable happens to an innocent child in our community. These types of issues normally don't get much thought or attention until an incident has already occurred, but I ask that you give some serious thought and eventually take up action in hopes of preventing a future crime against one of our children.

China wants to buy Canada's oil sands. China's national oil company, CNOOC, wants to start by buying Nexen Energy, of Calgary. The shareholders of Nexen have been offered a 60% premium for their shares.

The Government of Canada must decide whether the sale of Nexen should be allowed under the government's "net benefit" rule; that is, will it bring about a net benefit to Canadians. This decision must be made in a reasonable time, typically, 90 days or so.

CNOOC should not be allowed to buy Nexen because national oil companies will divert Canadian oil to their nation first, when oil grows scarce on this rapidly shrinking planet, regardless how high a price Canadians will be willing to pay to buy it back.

Canadians should not allow any Canadian oil company to fall into the hands of any company owned by another country in an era where energy security is becoming increasingly important.

According to the report “Counting the Cost: Impact of Invasive Animals in Australia, 2004” by The CRC, the cost impact nationally of feral animal species totaled $720 million per year. Left unmanaged, feral animals can adversely affect the environment and agricultural production.

According to the Australian Government Department of Sustainability, Environment, Water, Population & Communities, these species cause catastrophic damage and threats to Australian landscapes, agriculture, native species and industries every year.

It would be desirable to rid Australia of its worst invasive species, but this is not achievable in most cases as feral animals typically have few natural predators or fatal diseases and as a result have not naturally diminished, but rather multiplied rapidly.

NSW Agriculture studies recommend hunting to be appropriately incorporated into pest control plans, and this is recognised and supported nationally by both
Government and private organisations.

While hunting may be a controversial issue to some, in reality, conservation hunting has done much to save many of Australia’s endangered species from extinction by predation and habitat loss, along with significantly controlling the number of feral pest species and the coinciding damage that they inflict.

In Australia, there are more than 250,000 licensed hunters, all whom are governed by laws, guidelines and regulations, to ensure that hunting is done ethically and humanely.

Conventional control methods used by licensed hunters include trapping, baiting, fencing, shooting and tracking with dogs.

Sadly, regardless of how much these licensed hunters adhere to laws and guidelines, there is a small minority, who use unethical methods during hunting - giving those who participate legally and ethically - a bad image.

Under the Game and Feral Animal Control Act 2002, licensed hunters are permitted to use bows (not cross bows), firearms, knives and trained dogs while hunting on declared public land and private property with consent from the owner.

It is necessary, due to recent media slander of the hunting community - particularly of those who hunt with tracking dogs - that the Australian public and media are properly informed and educated on how strictly the strong majority of the licensed hunters community adhere to the ethical treatment of animals and governing laws.

The management of the number of feral pigs through the use of tracking dogs has in particular been singled out and labeled a so-called "blood sport" by members of
the media, government and public who are, unfortunately, very ill-informed.

This method, along with its benefits and reasons behind it, need to be understood and supported, in order for the Australian public to recognise that it is, in many circumstances, a more effective and humane way to control the growing number of these destructive pests.

Organisations such as the Australian Pig Doggers & Hunters Associations (APDHA) along with licensed hunters and their supporters nationally, condemn the illegal and immoral actions of any individual who does not adhere to ethical practices and laws whilst hunting.

Australia in turn, must rather than try to ban hunting in it's various forms, recognise the positive actions and effects that we provide to Australian land, agriculture and industries.

The Congress of America has and is failing to legislate effectively due to partisan politics, back door deals, corruption, and the entrenchment of incumbent representatives who are aided by unlimited money donations from special interest groups and Big Business. We have a government that is of the people, but no longer is it for the people.

The book: Throw Them All Out; by Peter Schweizer, published in 2011, clearly documents the corruption in the Congressional Ethics Committee.

The massive government deficit is in danger of destabilizing the entire global economy and for four years our representatives have done nothing.

My discharge was inaccurate and imprecise, because during the time I was in DEP, I wasn’t smoking at all. I was enlisted into The United States Navy on August 20, 2009 and I shipped off October 28, 2009. In the middle of June, when I decided that the Navy was something I wanted to do I knew it was time to commit myself solely to it.

I was a very heavy smoker, not because I loved it, but it took my mind away from my unhealthy surroundings (Memphis, Tn) and instability. When I spoke with the recruiter and she said, “The Navy has a ‘Zero Tolerance Policy’ with drugs, I knew it was time to handle business. I PROMISE I gave up the smoking and got a pharmaceutical government job at McKesson. I had to take a drug test in August with Select Staffing, in Memphis, Tn, to obtain the job. I passed it with flying colors. Also, I took numerous of drug tests with my recruiter and passed each one. Then, took two urinalysis exams for MEPS; once while getting my examination and the other before I shipped off. I don’t understand how I failed! Plus if there was still THC in my system it wasn’t from smoking while enlisting nor while in DEP. It came from being a heavy smoker before I decided to join the Navy.

It is scientifically proven that the length of time it takes to remove THC completely from your body depends on the amount that you consume each day. I was a Heavy Smoker, smoking a plethora of grams a day or every other day. The length of time varies, due to different smokers and different bodies. It also proves, that if you are a heavy smoker, it could take anywhere from two months to seven months. Maybe Even More! The marijuana that was used before considering the Navy enlistment shouldn’t be used against me, for I wasn’t a product of the NAVY until August 20, 2009. The day that I signed myself over should’ve been the THC considering factor. I was in DEP for two months, and once again, I Did Not Smoke. If it takes almost 2 months to 7 months or more to remove a heavy smokers THC, why didn’t the Navy check the levels of THC before enlisting and when we arrived for Training.

I was constantly passing all of my drug tests from my recruiter, MEPS, and my job. If I would have known that it took longer for THC to leave my system and the urinalysis given to me everywhere else didn’t mean anything, I would’ve waited and tried to check my THC levels. Passing every drug test prior to shipping off really gave me confidence that I was THC free and I was done with weed. I even tried to fight my case in Training. I was willing to do anything to stay. I agreed to drug test, appearing before the board, and I even requested to respectfully to appear before the Captain. The most important thing to me was appearing before the Captain, so he would understand how sincere and passionate I was about returning back to my division. I felt I was falsely accused of drug abuse and my THC level.

I’ve sent a DD293 before in 2010 and this is my second time submitting one. I never received a letter or email stating if I was denied or approved of the code & narrative reason change. I’m not going to give up and I will keep sending paperwork until I get a response. I know it’s almost been three years since I was discharged, so I’m mailing and faxing this before you may say it’s too late. I’m clean as a whistle and if I was to be drug tested right now, it would show up as 0% THC. Everyone deserves a second chance!

The Four Lions Rampant was, originally, the Four Lions Passive flag of The Royal House of Gwynedd in Snowdonia, North Wales. Following the fall of the Royal House of Gwynedd, it was adoped by the rightful heir, the great warrior Prince, Owain Glyndŵr during his war of Independence 1400 - 1421ish and the 'passive lions' were changed into 'rampant lions' to illustrate that the Cymru (Welsh) were up in arms.

Under this flag, Cymru (Wales) was independent between 1403 - 1410ish and, as the red dragon on a green and white background was the standard of Henry Tudor King of England and was only resurrected in 1958, we as Welsh patriots only recognise the Four Lions Rampant as the true flag of Cymru and as plans are being drawn up by David Cameron to have the Union flag or Crest to appear on "British" driving licences, we demand our civil right to have the Four Lion Rampant flag of the Cymric people's Prince, Prince Owain Glyndŵr on Cymric (Welsh) driving licences.

The federal government has moved quickly to pass Bill C-38, the omnibus budget implementation bill entitled the Jobs, Growth and Long-term Prosperity Act. Rather than ensure the sustainability of Canada’s social and environmental protections, this bill reduces funding and oversight. These reductions will only lead to larger and costlier problems for Canadians and their governments in the future. If passed, this legislation will, among other measures, reduce income security, shrink employment insurance, weaken investments in food safety and security, harm employment equity provisions, dismantle environmental regulation, and backtrack on climate-change policies.

Canadian nurses are sending a loud and clear message to the Conservative government: stop cutting Canada’s environmental, health and social systems.

As more than 800 registered nurses (RNs) gathered in Vancouver on June 18 for the Canadian Nurses Association’s (CNA) annual general meeting and biennial convention, they demanded action to halt the systemic dismantling of income security programs, environmental protection measures and investments in health. Assembled nurses urged Prime Minister Stephen Harper and members of parliament to stop these cuts, which are fundamentally irresponsible and damaging to the health and wellness of Canadians.

CNA declared that RNs will speak out against these cuts, and that the association will support its members to protect the integrity of essential programs and the health of our nation.

CNA calls upon Canadian nurses, other healthcare providers, and members of the public to endorse CNA’s Declaration by signing this petition and asking others to sign!

Le gouvernement fédéral a rapidement fait adopter le projet de loi C-38, le projet de loi omnibus sur la mise en œuvre du budget intitulé la Loi sur l’emploi, la croissance et la prospérité durable. Plutôt que d’assurer la durabilité des programmes de protection sociale et environnementale du Canada, ce projet de loi réduit le financement et la surveillance. Ces réductions budgétaires entraîneront seulement des problèmes plus importants et onéreux pour la population canadienne et ses gouvernements dans l’avenir. Si cette loi est adoptée, parmi d’autres mesures, elle réduira la sécurité du revenu, restreindra l’assurance-emploi, diminuera le financement dans la salubrité et la sécurité alimentaires, nuira aux dispositions sur l’équité en matière d’emploi, démantèlera le règlement sur l’environnement et reculera concernant les politiques sur les changements climatiques.

Les infirmières canadiennes envoient un message fort et clair au gouvernement conservateur : mettre fin aux réductions budgétaires à l’environnement et aux systèmes de santé et de services sociaux du Canada.

Alors que plus de 800 infirmières et infirmiers autorisés (IA) se rassemblent à Vancouver à l’occasion de l’assemblée générale et du congrès biennal de l’Association des infirmières et infirmiers du Canada (AIIC), on demande d’adopter une mesure qui permettra de mettre fin au démantèlement systématique des programmes de la sécurité du revenu, des mesures de protection environnementale et du financement de la santé. Les députés fédéraux et les sénateurs doivent cesser ces réductions budgétaires, qui sont profondément irresponsables et qui nuisent à la santé et au bien-être de la population canadienne.

Mr Al Fayed has for many years been unsuccessful in his attempts to gain a British passport and yet people from other countries apply and have done nothing for this country and yet they are given a British passport.

There are many so called british people who have been given passports and have done some horrible in this country and continue to do so and yet Mr Al Fayed has contributed to the UK economy in so many various ways, paying millions in taxes, employing thousands of staff all over the UK and more.

He silently without bragging about it, helps communities with projects they are doing, but he is not allowed to have a passport, WHY ?

He is in 80's and it is about time the UK Government gave this gentleman the one thing he really wants a BRITISH PASSPORT!

This is a petition to ban all size 0 models and also models with an unhealthy BMI (below 18.5) within Australia from the fashion catwalks and magazines.

We live in the 21st century where we are able to travel to space! It only makes sense that we do not take a 'one-size fits all’ image approach when it comes to our appearance and body image. Out of the worlds 7.017 billion population no two people are identical. Therefore why should we as both men and woman be exposed to an extremely influential fashion industry that tells us as that 'this' (size 0, which is an Australian size 4!) is what we need to look like to achieve 'that look' which is defined as so called 'beauty'.

Why should curvier women feel intimidated by these designers and this industry? We shouldn't! We are all different shapes & sizes, and if you believe that the fashion industry should portray a realistic body image of the Australian woman instead of underweight models that pursue us into believing that the size 0 image is how we need to look to achieve beauty than please sign this petition so that the Australian Government can ban these models and their associated health risks such as anorexia and bullemia.

Anorexia is most prevalent in adolescent girls who idolise these stick thin models that are flaunted to us in almost every magazine and fashion catwalk. Anorexia is the third most common chronic illness among adolescents. 40-60% of high school girls are on a diet, 50% of girls between the ages of 13 – 15 years old believe they are overweight and 80% of 13 year old girls admit to dieting. Almost 50% of suffers with anorexia also suffer from severe depression. This is a vicious cycle that is not only physically unhealthy, but it is mentally exhausting. This petition is going to be presented to local media, national media and eventually the Australian Parliament and government to demand a policy be put in place that bans these underweight models, and also ensures that as a legal procedure all models need to have a full health check before undertaking any modelling assignment.

The Harper government has proven time and time again, by act and word, that they do NOT have the best interests at heart for Canada, her people, her economy, and her environment.

* The Harper government has used voter suppression techniques and overspending to control the elections from 2005-2012. The latest being the Robocall scandal, which is currently under investigation.

* The Harper government passed crime Bill C-10 at night, despite strongly voiced opposition from the People. This bill will unjustly send many people to prison, at an conservative estimated cost Canadians $108,000 / prisoner per year. Avenues of crime and poverty reduction, diverting young offenders from adult prison systems, and offering more services to the mentally ill, while proving very effective, have been neglected or cut.

* The Harper government requested the Governor General to dissolve/prorogue the Parliament to AVOID THREE separate votes of No Confidence by the minority parties.

The Canadian Government is closing the Kitsilano Coast Guard in the name of budget cuts. But this is one of, if not the busiest Coast Guard in Canada.

Plus if Kinder-Morgan gets its way with doubling the oil pipeline from Alberta to Burnaby there will be an increased chance of an oil spill, and the Coast Guard is a first responder for such an emergency.

Although many people think that Equal Pay is a fact in everybody's life, and more considering that it was a right signed by it isn't true.

It has been proven that for the same work men get paid more than women. For every dollar man gets, the white women get 77 cents. Worst of all, is knowing that racism is still happening and the government isn't doing nothing to stop it! For every dollar men get, black women gets 68 cents and for every dollar men gets, latino women get 58 cents which almost half of men's pay.

How is it possible this injustice is happening in front of us and we are unaware? Women are significant in the U.S.A., we are involved in many political issues and we should have a voice!

Throughout the nation of the United States of America there are a countless amount of states that don't require doctors of any sort to report substance abuse amongst pregnant women.

This is a growing epidemic in the situation of health and our future, unborn generations. The legalizing of drugs is already being permitted in certain states, which will ultimately lead to addiction- some being women who will become pregnant. The objective of this petition is to start having a voice for the unborn children and saving their health one state at a time. Some states, by law are allowed to overlook pregnant substance abusers, which does more harm to the fetus than anyone is aware of.

We need to start by petitioning the idea of ignorance and start making it mandatory to get health officials more involved in seeking treatment for their impotent patients.

This Petition is to call for the current Condem Government to hold a Confidence Vote also known as a 'Confidence Motion' in the House of Commons and should that motion return as 'no confidence' then a general election be called there after.

When elected by the people to government, many MP's are young and have only been voted in on a wave of discontent with the current government.

They have not had to prove themselves and in some instances have no work or life experience.

This inexperience is rewarded with a 6 figure salary. After the last pay hike, a state backbencher's base pay rose to $130,540 - more than double the average wage in Queensland. Allowances range from $36,652 to $72,741 depending on the size of the electorate.

It's time we the public, have a say on what pay is given and how the MP's are measured and appropriately rewarded!

Victoria road and in fact most roads in Port Adelaide / Adelaide now have Bike Lanes. You are not allowed to park in them at periods which cause problems for local business and residents. They are active even on public holidays.

They devalue our property and cause loss of business. They are wrong as a proper bike lane would have footpath, car parking, bike lane, road car lanes. This is not the case here.

The music group "Raise the Bar" was created by Mick Quinn – musician/singer and qualified working special Ed teacher, to provide a social network and creative outlet for youth with differing abilities and their families.

"Raise the Bar" perform a range of popular songs, with members participating at their own individual level . It is very interactive – whether by singing, percussive beat and rhythm, dancing or simply quiet enjoyment. The focus of the group being - teamwork, fun and socialisation.

Concerts/social nights are held every 2 months at the same venue. This is a wonderful opportunity for group members to perform in front of family, friends and other community groups. Parents get to unwind, have a few drinks and enjoy a range of local entertainment including the successes of their son or daughter, as well as socializing with other families in their community.
