1. Petition to give justice to Delhi rape victim 
This is to urge the government of India to give rapid justice to the Delhi gang rape victim who died on 29/12/2012 succumbing to multiple injuries.
2. Tell Oxygen Media and NBC Thanks but no Thanks
Although this maybe a reality in our community it is not something that we would like to be considered as part of our heritage or media personification. One black president can not undo this type of "ratchetness". We need to redefine the way that the media portrays African Americans. We can not consistently be reduce to our worst attributes, splattered on television and believe their is no malicious intent behind it. Think about it who benefits from constantly portraying us in such a negative light...it isn't us!
We all have all flaws, God knows we do but they are to make us stronger not to be commericalize and used as a source of entertainment by the corporate elites. Please understand that this is not just a "television show" but a ingrained perception of African Americans that TV execs have and find...amusing. Google positive Black Stereotypes.. (images,web...whatever) and tell me we haven't let this go on for too long. It's not that we don't have any, it's just that they refuse to acknowledge or portray them in the media.
3. Arm Teachers to protect Children in Schools
Since the year 2000 we have witnessed 77 shootings in schools around the US leaving 165 students and educators dead.
This situation is intolerable and something must be done to end the madness! We can no longer leave students as sheep in a slaughter pen, they must be protected in the only way murderers understand and that is DEFENSE!
Although many people think that Equal Pay is a fact in everybody's life, and more considering that it was a right signed by it isn't true.
It has been proven that for the same work men get paid more than women. For every dollar man gets, the white women get 77 cents. Worst of all, is knowing that racism is still happening and the government isn't doing nothing to stop it! For every dollar men get, black women gets 68 cents and for every dollar men gets, latino women get 58 cents which almost half of men's pay.
How is it possible this injustice is happening in front of us and we are unaware? Women are significant in the U.S.A., we are involved in many political issues and we should have a voice!
5. Seek Justice and Equality for Actively Involved Parents
This petition is for the parents who play an active and vital role in their child or children’s lives. Unfortunately, for unmarried parents, the laws currently in place in Arkansas and states like it presumably assign one parent to be a “custodial parent” and the other as a “noncustodial parent”, without making a reasonable assessment to determining whether this is the best decision to make in regards to the child or children.
Therefore, this injustice causes an inequality for parents who are present in their child or children’s live by way of multiple levels of support. The laws possibly do this because traditionally one parent is the breadwinner while the other raises the child or children, but times change, and with the change of times comes a need for change of laws. Not all laws from yesteryear are applicable to today and the future, and that is why this petition urges lawmakers to revise statues such as “Arkansas Code of 1987 Title 9: Family Law (Subtitle 2: Domestic Relations).” to reflect the 21st century. If both parents play an equal role, then both parents should have equal parenting rights protected by the law, which leads this discussion to the concept of shared parenting.
Shared parenting refers to a collective agreement in child custody in which the care of the children is equal or substantially shared between the biological parents. More and more parents today are moving away from the traditional custody agreements that consist of a “custodial parent” and “noncustodial parent”. Instead, they are opting for shared parenting. In a shared (or joint) parenting agreement, both parents have almost equal physical custodial time with their children. Moreover, both parents are responsible for making the important decisions in their child's life. Shared parenting is a valiant attempt by both parents to be involved in their child's life for the benefit of the child. Shared parenting heavily involves both parents and does not mean that one parent has the kids almost all of the time with occasional visits to the other parent. This type of parenting is one of the best ways for unmarried parents to work together in the best interest of their child or children, especially when both parents are truly active in their child or children’s lives. Having both parents in a child’s life as true equals is in the best interest of the child. Out with the “Custodial/Noncustodial” and in with “Equal, Fair, and Balanced Parenting”. Shared parenting is more effective than ¾ parenting from one parent and ¼ parenting from the other and vice-versa. Of course, there are exceptions to the rule when one parent is inactive or significantly less active in a child’s life.
Shared parenting is great if both parents do it! Although, there has been a dark past of have the experience of one parent not being in their lives as much as they should or at times not being in their lives period. Those individuals most definitely do not need or deserve same rights as a true parent who is there day in and day out and actively present in their child’s life. Individuals who are not mature enough to be responsible parents make it difficult for those who are. This cause some of them fight back through use of the court system, but can end up being futile because the burden of proving that the other parent is “unfit” is left up to them to substantiate although the point of “fit” or “unfit” is not necessarily an issue. A hardworking parent who has a major part in their child’s life should not have to resort to such madness only to possibly secure their rights as a parent.
The law should be in the best interest of the child, and having both parents in a child’s life as true equals when both play pivotal roles in the child’s life is in the best interest of the child.
6. RESPECT GAY RIGHTS - SCRAP THE ANTI-GAY BILL
Addressing an audience of diplomats in Geneva, US Secretary of State Hilary Clinton called for the rights of gay people to be respected.
"Gay people are born into and belong to every society in the world," Mrs Clinton said.
"Being gay is not a Western invention. It is a human reality."Reacting angrily to Mrs Clinton's speech, Ugandan presidential adviser John Nagenda told the BBC: "That fellow [Mr Cameron] said the same thing. Now this woman [Clinton] is interfering.
"If the Americans think they can tell us what to do, they can go to hell."
Uganda is a staunch ally of the US, receiving military assistance to fight a local rebel group - the Lord's Resistance Army - and has sent troops to Somalia to fight the al-Qaeda-linked al-Shabab group.
Mr Nagenda said Uganda would continue to co-operate with the US on security and other issues, but added: "If they are childish enough to take away aid, we'll see what we do [in response]."

Mit Singh Chopra is a 19 year old Sikh man, from Afghanistan, and a student at Westminster Kingsway College.
On Friday 24th September at 6am immigration police came into Mit Chopra’s home and took him into detention under threat of deportation.

There has always been love for animals. When I learned about what little consequences there were for animal abuse and neglect, I decided that it was best to take action. Most animal neglect cases are only misdemeanors and people rarely see an institution or pay a high price for their crimes.
Animal abuse, abandonment, and lack of help are too common in our world, and this will help assist those who cannot help themselves. Most people who have pets know that they are wonderful companions, and that they will continue to be as long as they are cared for. Additionally, many people do not think about how unfortunate it is when an animal does not have a home. Immanuel Kant once said, "He who is cruel to animals becomes hard also in his dealings with men... We can judge the heart of a man by his dealings with animals." Anyone who would harm or neglect an animal most likely would harm or neglect a human too. A way to help prevent this would be stricter laws against anyone who abuses or neglects an animal. Help to fight for those who cannot fight for themselves.

It's a shame we can live in such a nice place and one thing such as a pit bull ban can change everything. For those of you who know, pit bulls are known to be the second greatest family dog behind the golden retriever based on information from the ukc, and adba along with other organizations. Reputation says these dogs are killers because they have "lock jaw" for anyone who can get on a computer and do research, there is no such thing as lock jaw. It is simply they have strong jaws. If you have every been bitten by a turtle of lizzard, they don't like to let go either, are they illegal? Also known to the ukc registration they are people pleasers and with the right owner they will rarely show aggression and at that typically only to estranged animals. Help us save our dogs
12. Help Save Rowland Elementary School
By now, we have all heard the distressing news of Rowland Elementary School being added to the list of possible school closings, due to a $115 million deficit in the DeKalb County School System.
At this time we are asking our Rowland community to come together to save Rowland. The community depends on this school to be there for the parents and our main focus-the children. For the past 43 years Rowland has provided quality education to our students, teachers that go beyond the point of duty, resource programs for parents, quality care and training for our special needs children cultural events to join for our Rowland family and the community together, among many other services our school has to offer.
We cannot allow for this to happen to our children and even future attendees of this area. Please join us in fighting for Rowland. Our children are worth this fight; your child’s education journey starts here. Everyday here at Rowland we are laying the foundation for intelligence, dependability, honesty, citizenship, independence, self-esteem, and so many character and educational traits they will need not just for learning, but for life.
We as parents are not happy with closing down Rowland because of many different reasons. To name a few, where will our children be forced to attend school, how close will the new school be, are we as parents comfortable with the distance the children will have to ride the bus to school? Also, what will happen to our physical school building if left unattended? What will the community become of then?

14. Lift the 6 month ban on MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) Events in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada
The below excerpt is taken from the Moncton Times & Transcript News Paper stating that MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) Events are banned for the next 6 months in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada with no reason as to why.
The Moncton Boxing and Wrestling Commission has ruled there will be no mixed martial arts cards in Moncton for the next six months. There have been seven MMA events here in the past three years and the sport has enjoyed a growing fan base locally.
"After three years of sanctioning MMA events in the City of Moncton, the Moncton Boxing and Wrestling Commission has decided to do a complete review of the events that have been held here," said commission chairman Jerry Doiron-Gould.
"For the next six months, we will not be sanctioning any MMA cards in Moncton. Once that period is over, we will then make a decision on whether to continue sanctioning MMA events here."
Doiron-Gould wouldn't discuss what prompted the commission to do a review of past MMA events in Moncton.

There are currently NO cat laws in Australia.
Cats a getting out of control.
They destroy our native wildlife, wander the streets, getting into garbage, Breed excessively, fight with other cats, males 'spray' in other people's yards to mark their territory from other cats, even if that person does not own a cat or dog. They run across people's roofs & fight.
They are also a danger to themselves, by running across roads, getting attacked by dogs, getting trapped in small confined spaces or up trees & power poles.
Irresponsible owners allow the cats to wander, fail to have them desexed & quite often own a large number of cats, well in excess of over 2 or 3 cats. When this occurs, the odor of cat urine on the property or neighbouring properties is disgusting & annoying, they fight in neighbours yards, kill birds & other small animals & become a nuisance to everyone.
Cats are not required to be licensed. There are no cat laws for a cat that is constantly noisy or meows a lot or if a cat is mistreated.
The animal laws in Australia are way out of date, far behind & need updating to include cats.
Thousands of cats become strays, are run over on busy roads or are put to sleep every day.

Poor little blue eyed baby p suffered his short life of 17months full of abuse and torture, he suffered from multiple bruising to the face and body his finger tips missing, and his fingernails & toenail pulled off, he suffered a broken back an nine fractured ribs,a severe mouth injury and a ripped ear.
Baby p was on the child protection register and although this he spent most of his life as a punch bag.
Despite 60 visits from Haringey Social Services baby p was found dead in his cot that was splattered with his own blood.
18. Say NO to Gang style Attacks by Teens!
Recently a video was aired nationally showing 6 girls taking turns beating a helpless victim unconscious, waking her up and beating her again while 2 boys stood lookout. The incident happened on or about March 30th. This was a cold, calculated crime that was premeditated and thought out.
No parents were present at the time of the attack which was 8:30PM on a Sunday night. The attackers never showed any remorse for these crimes. They were observed laughing and joking that they would miss cheerleading and not be able to go to the beach the following weekend.
The incident was videotaped with the intent to broadcast it online. The mother of the girl in whose home the assault took place blamed the victim and not her daughter. Also, neither mother or daughter, nor any of the other attackers show remorse at this time, one even proclaiming on their myspace page that "I'd do it again"!
War propaganda threatens to corrupt U.S. media. Why waste time, money and our men?
Those men can be anything they want to be and they are using their time to defend our country.
Billions of American dollars have been used to fight this war. The money can be used here in the U.S. for greater things.
So, I fell that if you want to invest money into something effective, make music, not WAR!

The reason for this petition is because State of TN is trying to pass a bill as of July 2008 that would say anyone simply owning a pit bull would be charged with a misdemeanor! I thought this was AMERICA.. I thought we were FREE!!

29. Save the horses and stop horse slaughter
Hello everyone!
I don't know how many of you know about horse slaughter, but it is a truly evil thing. Horses are killed painfully while they are terrified, starved, and just miserable.
People have been doing this for years, and it needs to stop. Approxomately 82,043 horses have been killed this way this year in those cruel slaughterhouses.
