1. 40% cut in Congress memebers' pention/salary
It's relevant to note that the American people see a constant stream of irresponsible and corrupt political leadership in Congress.
Congress are so incompetent that they cannot even pass a budget.
2. No Tax Raise & No New Taxes
As Americans we are already paying too much in tax. Our founding fathers argued that they did not want to put a ceiling on a 10% tax rate for citizens because a future Government might have the audacity to impose such a high rate.
History supports less intrusive Government, free enterprise, and less than a 10% tax rate for all.
Due to the recent events involving Mitt Romney's remarks about Obama supporters and the Republican parties unfair treatment of Ron Paul supporters, we have no confidence in Mitt Romney's chances of winning the 2012 Presidential election.
We feel that these events reflect poorly on Mitt Romney, and any further involvement would only hurt Gary Johnson's chances of victory.
We the people of the United States of America, the land of the free and the home of the brave, are here together as one voice.
We stand together as Republicans, Democrats, Conservatives, Liberals, Libertarians, and Freedom Fighters. We come together from all different beliefs, races, and sexes but we all believe in America. We stand together as friends, we stand together as family, and we stand together as a country.
We ask that you not let the voice of the American people die, and that you restore the belief in our people, so that our great nation may inspire the world all over again. We work as firemen, nurses, cab drivers, teachers, cops, cooks, and customer services representatives. We work at schools, restaurants, and hospitals. We work for the city, for the state, and for the country.
It is our understanding that Republican Presidential candidate Congressman Ron Paul has achieved a plurality of delegates in a minimum of five states. We are asking as one voice that you make our republican convention fair by giving Dr. Ron Paul a speaking slot at the convention. The world has taken notice of this election.
Let us not become a joke to them, but rather an example of the integrity of our great nation. Let the convention showcase the two great leaders from our republican side, that one may emerge to contest Barack Obama. Let us showcase to the world, on the greatest of stages, what a republic looks like.
Representative Barney Frank (D-Mass) has announced he will not seek re-election in 2012. We, the people, need you Representative Frank!
You have been a clear, strong voice for the rights of all our citizens, and you don't play political games. You are the voice of transparency. Now, more than ever, we need your intelligence and stalwart stance to speak on our behalf.
We are all tired of the shenanigans being pulled by the GOP, and assume you must want to divest yourself of the fray. However, we NEED your voice AND your vote to help lead the way back to sanity in government.
Please, Representative Frank, reconsider and run again.
6. Hillary Clinton for President
Hillary Clinton has a track record that far outshines that of the current president. We admire her because, unlike Obama, she expresses an opinion on policy and then sticks to it. She would not compromise on the most important issues, and possesses the backbone to turn her ideas into reality.
We feel that her position in the Obama administration may deter her from a 2012 presidential run, but we want her to know that she has many supporters. There are many of us who desperately want her to run.
We are convinced in her ability to win the democratic presidential nomination, and the Presidency.
7. End Lib-Dem cooperation with the Coalition
A coalition is when two or more parties in government work together, either because of similar ideology or to achieve an elective majority, theoretically reaching compromises on important subjects to achieve a roughly even legislative record (issue #1 goes to party A, issue #2 goes to party B in exchange. It's not ideal, but both parties get something they want).
This coalition fails in both of those regards.
The Lib-Dems do not, and should not, have even a remotely similar political ideology to the Conservative Party. Similarly, the Tories have little to nothing in common with the Lib-Dems, and compromises on major issues have been non-existent. Instead, only a series of humiliating concessions have been made, and the Prime Minister has seen fit to lend his weight to sabotaging even these, as has been made clear with the referendum.
This is not a coalition, it is a Tory government masquerading as a coalition, pinning the blame for their actions on the Liberal Democrats whilst slowly eating their electoral base.
It is a state of affairs that cannot continue, and thus the Liberal Democrats must salvage what is left of their reputation and leave this ship of government before they are nailed to the mast. They do not deserve the criticisms aimed at them, and if they are to avoid decimation at the next election they must realise their mistake early, pull out, and assume a campaign of coordinated blocking of the government's supposed-reforms until concessions are made on major points of Lib-Dem policy and tangible results are produced as a result.
8. A Petition to Avoid an American Quagmire in Libya
The United States cannot afford a deepening quagmire in Libya. We call on President Obama to seek authorization from the U.S. Congress for his Libyan bombing campaign, including a mission statement limited to protecting Libyan civilians, a viable diplomatic strategy, an exact cost projection, and a timeline for the rapid withdrawal of all U.S. combat troops before the war becomes another quagmire.
Governor Nikki Haley has lied on job applications as a member of the South Carolina House of Representatives, recklessly undermined the educational system of the State of South Carolina, and cruely ignored the misfortunate citizens in her state through divisive judgements. Her policies have led to job losses and failures of state departments in every county.
10. We want State Representation, not Partisan Representation
~ Politics is not a matter of ruling over the people or of exercising power. Politics is performance of service to people, contributing to the welfare of the people. ~ V. Pirapakaran.
11. A Petition Against Four More Years of War
We object to the United States proposal for Afghanistan being presented this week to NATO ministers.
It is not a peace plan. It is a plan for four more years of combat by US and NATO forces.
It is not a plan for US or Western troop withdrawals but for further occupation. It is a proposal to gradually lessen Western casualties and lessen Western visibility while transitioning to Western-financed, Western-armed, and Western-advised Afghan army combat in a civil conflict. It is a plan for long-term Western military bases.
It is not a plan to stop al Qaeda or terrorists from attacking Western targets. There are virtually no al Qaeda left in Afghanistan. The most recent terrorist attacks on America have been inspired by our deepening wars in Afghanistan and Pakistan. In seeking to save our military reputation, we all but assure future threats against Western targets. CIA officials even describe Yemen’s al Qaeda cell as more dangerous than al Qaeda in Pakistan. [NYT, Oct. 18, 2010]
It pre-empts the Administration’s own proposal for a full “review” of Afghan policy in December. The timing instead is aimed at shoring up a faltering Western alliance.
The central proposal--to increase the scale of the Afghan army and police in order to prop up a corrupt Kabul regime--will never work without a parallel cease-fire, deep institutional reform, enforceable human rights, and peace-keeping arrangements with leadership by neutral countries.
The current expenditure of over $100 billion American dollars per year for Afghanistan could be spent on medical care for 15 million veterans, or 15 million college scholarships, or 1.8 million new teachers, or 72 million installations of renewable energy for American homes.
12. John Lewis debate Fenn Little. Georgia's 5th Congressional District Candidates
Members of Georgia's 5th Congressional District have a choice of candidates this year, for the first time in several decades. John Lewis, the incumbent of 24 years is opposed by Republican Candidate Fenn Little.
While Fenn Little may be an underdog with little name recognition, this does not appear to be an indicator in the support he is receiving from the constituents of this diverse district. John Lewis has refused to reply to the claims that he is a puppet of Washington Politics who is disconnected to his constituent base and their needs and priorities. He has also refused to debate Fenn Little.
If you would like to see these candidates answer the questions for the constituents themselves, PLEASE SIGN THIS PETITION.
13. Afghanistan - A Petition to Take Action Against the War
An escalation of troops to Afghanistan is pending.
14. Barack Obama - Democratic Party
This petition is being utilized as a real-time voting tool online. This effort is sponsored by the social network "Candidate Forum 2008: The American Presidential Election". See the web-link above.
15. Stop the Third War, the Domestic Culture War
With our soldiers engaged in two overseas wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, we must stop and ask: do we really have the resources to catapult ourselves into a third war? Unfortunately, the third war on the radar is the new updated “Culture War.”
On behalf of many Americans, we implore the presidential campaigners and the political parties to remain focused on the serious issues we need to address to get our country back on the right track!
16. Conservative change for Delaware
Democratic Senator Tony DeLuca and Democratic Representative John J. Viola have each been in their current roles for over a decade. During that time Delaware has slipped farther and farther from living up to its nickname "The First State." Delaware needs a change.
Delaware needs new ideas and new politicians who believe in the state and what can be achieved to get us back to being "The First State". I am Evan Queitsch and I am prepared to be that change. I pledge to fight to make Delaware first in energy, education, immigration reform, budget reform, law enforcement, political reform, and the Constitution. Please visit my website for more information about my ideas for Delaware.

17. Withdrawing Our Vote for Barack Hussain Obama
Millions of Democrats who voted in this year's record-breaking primary season did so with inadequate and misleading information on the family history, political beliefs, affiliations, religious background, ties to criminals and terrorists, lack of understanding of rudimentary foreign policy matters, associations with racists and crackpots, failure to develop a coherent and consistent policy on any substantive matter facing the nation, lack of principles, lack of judgment, failure to admit errors, tendency to blame others for his own failings, failure to inquire and adjust his policies despite clearly changed conditions in Iraq, radicalism and anti-patriotism, ignorant promotion of economic policies opposed by virtually all economists, and routine lies, misstatements, backtracking, flip-flopping, false accusations, claims of victimhood, manipulation, selective editing and routine smearing of his opponents' statements and positions by the presumptive nominee of the Democratic party, BARACK HUSSAIN OBAMA.
18. Nominate Sebelius for Obama's VP
At the time of writing, Barack Obama is all but certain to become the US Democratic Party's nominee for the 2008 Presidential race. Attention is turning to who is most suitable to be his running mate. Several possible candidates have been suggested.
A name that has repeatedly emerged is Kathleen Sebelius. Mrs Sebelius is the Governor of Kansas, and has attained remarkable popularity over her gubernatorial tenure - despite Kansas being a heavily Republican state.
She has been rated among the US's top Governors, and should she be selected as the running mate for Mr Obama, it would give credence to the idea of building a new coalition of "red states" and "blue states" in 2008.
19. Finish the Democratic Primary - Now
The Democratic Primary Race has continued for way to long. Both Sen. Clinton and Sen. Obama are dragging out the race and causing the Democratic Party to fracture from the inside out.
Polls are showing more and more Democrats becoming discontent with the person they do not support. McCain is rallying support from around the country and rapidly gaining ground on both Democratic candidates.
We need to end this race now.
20. DNC Count The Votes Florida and Michigan
The Democratic National Committee voted to strip Florida and Michigan of all of their delegates for moving the dates of their primaries up past the desired DNC date.
Particularly egregious is the fact that Florida's Republican controlled legislature tied the move up date with an initiative to have machines with voter verified paper ballots.
On the dates of the Florida and Michigan primary 5.2 million people turned out to vote. Their votes must be counted, fairly and accurately.
In a year that the last primary on the calendar will be as important as the first, every single voter should have a voice.
21. Demand Rite Aid Corporation CEO to get congress and the President to enact HR 676
Today in America companies distort the legislation process with contributions and lobbyists.
Therefore in order to get action done needed for the people, we the people need to take our petition to some of the companies that give money to legislators and the President of the United States.
22. Oregon Democrats for Impeachment
The indictments in which the defendants are named are numbered as follows:

24. Oprah for President - 2008
In the year 2000, some suggested that Oprah would make a good reform party candidate. Volunteers have appeared and Web based campaigns sprung up.
Unfortunately, at this stage, Oprah has not consented to run.
This petition is designed to convince her to run.
Oprah Winfrey is famous, scrupulously honest, immensely popular and wealthy in her own right. While she does not have much experience in politics, this is hardly a handicap in a world where most people have become disillusioned with "conventional" politics.
She knows how to run a large media organization, her talk show, the Angel network and her book club. She also has the advantage of being the first woman, non-white, non-politician to not only seek this high office, but who also has a credible chance of succeeding and leading our great nation into a new era of peace and prosperity.
If you agree with this summary please sign the petition.
25. Congressional Seats for Washington DC and Utah
The United States Congress is currently considering a bill that would allow the District of Columbia to receive one Congressional District and Utah a 4th Congressional District.
This is seen as a political trade as Washington, DC currently does not have a regular member of Congress and would likely vote Democrat. Utah missed receiving a 4th Congressional Seat after the last census in 2000 by about 800 citizens and would likely vote Republican.
According to Article I Section 2 of the United States Constitution it is clear that Congressional Seats are reserved for States. The current proposal to grant a Congressional Seat to Washington, DC is not allowed by the Constitution. In fact, during the 1970's this very act was proposed though it was handled correctly: An Amendment to the Constitution was proposed.
We are greatly concerned by the manner in which Congress is handling this. By acting to "amend" the Constitution by simply changing Federal Law a precedent is being set. A precedent that leaves our Constitution vulnerable to whimsical changes. We do not support that precedent.
I should personally add that I am a resident of Utah, the very state that would be granted another Congressional seat in this effort. We would love another seat in Utah though we want it done properly. This petition does not take a position on the merits of Washington, DC receiving a Congressional District other than if it happens it should be done properly: by a Constitutional Amendment.
26. SSI Recipients Should Have To Pay Child Support
May 16, 2006
I am a single parent of a child. His real father gets Social Securtiy Income (SSI). I receive welfare for my child, Cause the law says people on SSI don't have to pay child support. Domestic relations say its just taking out of welfare, which doesn't make any sense to me or lots other people!
I believe people on SSI should have to pay child support! In a month, until I'm done paying bills. Making sure my son has everything he needs. I'm lucky if I have $10.00 for myself!
Half the time I do without just so he has everything. We even live in low income houing and get WIC programs. Its not right that peoples tax dollars are paying for other peoples children either.
27. Remove the Electoral College
February 28, 2006
For the last 200 years this country has elected presidents via the electoral college.
This system made sense in a nation not yet fully populated and, for the most part, unregulated.
The time has come to eliminate the distinction between Blue and Red states and move to a system of popular vote. A system where every vote actually counts.

This Is a Petition Stating that the Laws for the use of marijuana in the USA are extremely out of control.
Rape and Murdur can now be less serious offences of that of a marijuana smoker.
29. Governor Blanco must submit a credible relief plan
Dec 28, 2005
This petition urges Louisiana Governor Kathleen Blanco to call a special session in January 2006to perform the following:
1)Construct with a plan on spending the money recently approved for the Gulf South post Hurricane Katrina;
2)Dismantle the present levee board and creating a new one;
3)Construct a plan to go after Oil and Gas Revenues for Louisiana.
Mississippi's Governor is already in Washington D.C. with his state's recovery plan.
30. Call for the impeachment of President George W. Bush
December 18, 2005
This petition is to call for Congress to impeach (an indictment put forth by Congress leading to the possible resignation, enforced loss of office or exoneration of a public official) current President George W. Bush in matters related to the authorization of non-warranted electronic surveillance of United States citizens by the NSA.
