To understand the gravity of the situation, you must simply examine the facts; no less than 259 school shooting related deaths have occurred since 1970.

Many Arkansans remember the incident at Westside Middle School in Jonesboro, AR, where four students and one teacher were killed. The recent Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting has once again showed us the vulnerabilities of our public schools. The deaths of children in public schools can and will be prevented with proper training and security. The added security this petition calls for would be provided by the people directly involved, the teachers.

Local law enforcement and skilled security professionals (most of which would more than happily volunteer their time) would provide the training needed and if there was a cost incurred the school districts would cover any and all expenses. I believe, teachers need to feel empowered and secure. This reassurance can come through proper training. It is important that all teachers working in the state of Arkansas receive a basic defensive course and hostage training focused directly on altercations involving firearms, knives and other dangers involved in school invasion scenarios.

The training would be designed especially for teachers and school administrators to further mitigate the risks posed to students and staff. I believe in conjunction with the training, personnel that excelled in these operations (as well as agreed) would also receive basic marksmanship training in small arms and be issued a handgun (provided by the state) and kept stowed away, only allowing the teacher issued access to the weapon. Individuals selected by the schools concealed carry program would be selected by the school administrators and the training personnel. In school districts that wished to do so the teachers with a concealed carry license could "carry" These individuals would remain nameless to students and other personnel. The classes would be made available to these individuals as well.

The local law enforcement departments and key administrators would maintain a registry of all teachers involved in the program and be required to provide continued training (annually). Response times for local law enforcement departments vary and the possible delays for their officers are endless; therefore, it is up to us, the competent and common sense Americans to empower our schools and help to provide an environment that reduces the danger to our children.

Having watched the opening ceremony to the Olympic games and our proud heritage in the industrial development of this country, why do we keep handing over what is left of it to foreign nations?
The idea that our aircraft industry will be mainly taken over by the germans or any other nation for that matter is a disgrace beyond belief. This again will put uk jobs at risk and no amount of sureties will be a safeguard.

The fact that the person who is fighting the mergers cause is to receive a massive multi million pound payout should be sacked for failing to represent his workforce and this countries defence prospects, let alone pure greed which seems to be rife in the governing circles of this and every other European nation.

You were elected to represent the British people and their welfare only not to feather your own nests , that seems to have been lost. What decisions you make affect all of us. I am therefore begging you all to think seriously about what you are elected for and stop this merger before it is too late.

With the NDAA's indefinite detainment without due process clause, (meaning legally, the Federal Government can arrest anyone for anything at any time secretly) It is time to recognize that Mississippians could lose their right to a fair trial.

With new bills being introduced to take away our first amendment rights, we should be worried about the consequences of disagreeing with any legal policies the government wants to implement.

If there is a suspected terrorist or protester, they should have the right to a fair trial by a jury of their peers to determine if their actions were illegal, and to determine the extent of punishment under law.

SO HERE IS WHAT WE ARE GOING TO DO

The Bush administration and their friends in the media want this story to go away. More than want it to go away, they are in a panic, and will do everything they can to stop it. They will use every dirty trick, every paid shill, every presstitute that they can. Already there is a report that the Michael Jackson jury is "expected" to reach a verdict just before the Conyers hearings.

So, I want YOU to copy this article off, post it everywhere. This article is placed in the public domain. Mail it to your friends. Then send it to your local media and your Congresscritters and have everyone you know do the same. Get on the phones. Flood their offices.

The term is "Viral Marketing" where you get the people who need a product to market it for you. Well, this nation NEEDS this "product". It needs to know that this war was started with lies. INTENTIONAL lies. And they need to know there is something they can do about it, and that is to start pounding on the doors of power.

Because when a flood of such messages reaches the Congress and the media, what they will hear is that there is no more time. Either they will deal with these lies and the liars, in full, or they will lose all credibility as a government and as media.

A government that lies to the people cannot be the legal government of this land. Make sure that they understand that YOU understand that the Constitution does not allow the government to lie to the people. Calling themselves the government does not make it so if they act unconstitutionally and illegally. George W. Bush has led America to one of it's most corrupt periods in history. In his first term, he has already sent us to war, to supposedly get Nueclear Weapons out of a Iraq, but there are no Nuclear Weapons, and more and more of our troops die everyday. He has cut taxes on the rich, causing higher taxes on the middle class and the poor. He has promoted destruction of our enviornment, has been prejudice towards gays and non-christians, lowered Defense Capita in states that need more defense, and caused what is beggining to become the fall of America. He is one of the most corrupt presidents in American history and we need him out of office, now!

An Appeal from A Soon-To-Be Prisoner of Conscience in British Columbia, Canada

I am writing this personal appeal to the world because by August, I may be incarcerated in prison for having exercised my God-given and constitutionally protected freedom of speech in Canada.

In my work as an advocate and fighter for the rights of aboriginal people, I have discovered that an American conglomerate known as NAWAPA - The North
American Water and Power Alliance - is coveting the lands of native people in central British Columbia, with the assistance of corrupt and violent native
politicians and the government of Canada.

NAWAPA plans to dam and divert three major river systems in our province into the United States through a massive water reservoir known as the Rocky Mountain Trench.

As a result, the lands of thousands of indigenous people in north-central British Columbia will be flooded and their way of life destroyed forever.

Some of the most powerful native politicians in this region are dispossessing their own people from their lands to pave the way for the NAWAPA project. According to eyewitnesses Frank Martin and Helen
Michel of the Dene-Carrier nation, chiefs of the Carrier - Sekani Tribal Council in Prince George, BC
have employed violence, extortion, and even murder to secure trap lines and other lands from their own people.

According to Frank and Helen, and other Tribal Council activists, these chiefs are also implicated in criminal actions like drug trafficking, prostitution,
and the exploitation of children in organized pedophile rings in the Prince George-Moricetown area. These allegations have been substantiated by
journalists, lawyers, and sources within the Carrier-Sekani Tribal Council.

Two weeks ago, one of these accused chiefs, Ed John, commenced a lawsuit against Frank and Helen, myself,
and other critics, to permanently silence and incarcerate us if we persist in our investigation of
crimes against aboriginal people in his territory.

The law firm handling Ed John's case - Blake, Cassells and Graydon of Vancouver - is closely tied to
the government of Canada through its head, Marvin Storrow, who is a close friend and confident of Prime
Minister Jean Chretien.

Chretien has not only recently been cited at the International Criminal Court in The Hague for complicity in Genocide of native people in Canada, but
his government, like Chief Ed John, is committed to the NAWAPA project through its obligations under the NAFTA agreement with the USA.

There can be no clearer case than this one of a modern state employing puppet indigenous leaders to dispossess entire peoples in the interests of foreign
multinational corporations. Nor can there be a more obvious example of a government attacking and silencing dissidents than what myself and native
activists like Frank and Helen are presently up against.

Besides this lawsuit, we are experiencing regular death threats, physical assaults, and other
harrassment designed to isolate and break us.

We need all persons of conscience to rally now to our defense, and to the aboriginal people of central
British Columbia.

We ask that you do the following:

1. Alert Amnesty International and other human rights groups about our case and the ongoing Genocide of
native peoples in Canada, and ask them to adopt us as prisoners of conscience.

2. Contact the government of Canada, and Prime Minister Jean Chretien, and demand that their covert harrassment of opponents of NAWAPA and Ed John cease.

3. Contact Marvin Storrow, Q.C., at Blake, Cassells and Graydon in Vancouver, BC, and demand that this
firm halt their lawsuit (#S012186) and campaign of harrassment of myself and other critics of Chief Ed

4. Acquaint yourself with the past and present legal Genocide of native peoples in our country by accessing
