31. We Demand True Conservative Leadership
WE DECLARE that Republican leadership while in the majority during the Bush 8 years failed. Now in the minority, Republican leadership has improved, but still falls short of true Conservative leadership.
WE DECLARE that Republican politicians have compromised Conservative values in favor of "reaching across the aisle" in the name of "bipartisanship" to "get things done in Washington." In doing so, these very politicians have damaged this nation, weakened the Constitution, and done harm to individual freedoms.
WE ASSERT that the Republican National Committee has failed to advance and articulate Conservatism. We claim that by so doing, the RNC has done harm to the Conservative movement and thus to the party itself.
32. Newcastle upon Tyne - West Road Congestion Plan
A transit corridor is proposed along the West Road. However, road users have expressed concern about the potential loss of 50% capacity on the eastbound side of the dual carriageway and changes westbound. This may displace some of the traffic onto other routes, such as Stamfordham Road.
The campaign accepts that some changes to the West Road would be beneficial but we believe many of the changes will make congestion worse. We want to see the development of a suitable park and ride in the West End of Newcastle to help make public transport more attractive.
33. Conservative Exodus Project 2
We, the undersigned, pledge not to vote for another globalist for president.
Regarding both illegal and legal immigration, Barack Obama and John McCain support the Third World invasion of the United States, and thus are guilty of treason.
Both Barack Obama and John McCain support unwise free trade agreements, which are undermining our economy. (Conservatives historically have opposed ideological free trade, but many in the GOP have been "neoconned" on this issue.)
Both Barack Obama and John McCain are interventionists, the former supporting war in Darfur, the latter in Iraq and Iran. The transformation of the Middle East (or anywhere else) to liberal democracy is Wilsonian internationalism, not conservatism.
Because the two main-party candidates are unacceptable, we pledge not to vote or to vote third party this November.

The Hayes Carnival is a very well established local event that takes place in July every year, and has done so for many years, indeed it has been a popular feature of life in Hayes for over 80 years.
The Conservative Controlled Council (London Borough of Hillingdon), are now ripping the heart out of Hayes and the abolition of this community festival is just the latest attack on this part of the Borough.
Hillingdon Labour Group are therefore campaigning on behalf of the local community to Save the Hayes Carnival, and thereby abait any further errosion of local community spirit. We Therefore ask you to sign our petition and show the Council's Conservative Cabinet that they have got it wrong and need to reconsider their decision.
36. No to Charging Disabled and Older People for Essental Services in Hammersmith & Fulham
This petition has been actioned by Hammersmith & Fulham Coalition against Community Cuts (HAFCAC)
Hammersmith and Fulham Council are seeking to charge disabled and older people for essential services which enable them to live as equal citizens in the community.
The proposed charges of up to £12.40 per hour would negatively impact on the well being of disabled and older people who use essential community care services.
In March 2006, the Labour administration said it would stop charging for home care services. In April 2006, a spokesperson for the Conservative group said, “A Conservative Council will not reintroduce Home Care Charging. The Conservative group has included this as a manifesto pledge.”
Many local disabled and older people feel cheated that the present Conservative Council is proposing a U turn on its election pledge.
Local residents wish to strongly object to the Council's plans.

37. Petition to Senator John McCain
Tell Senator McCain to support conservative principles.
Not Ted Kennedy and Barack Obama.
38. Save Upper Norwood Library
The last Independent Library in the UK has suffered dramatic funding cuts at the hands of Croydon's Conservative Council.
The Library is funding jointly between Croydon and Lambeth Councils and since the Conservatives took over Croydon Council in 2006 they have made repeated attempts to cut their contribution and to raid the Library's reserves.
39. 3-Point Plan to Re-form the GOP
Increasingly, Republican candidates accept financial support from the Party, but then vote against the very values that define us.
The Party often supports incumbants regardless of whether their voting record reflects the goals of the rank and file Republican party member.
Therefore, it's something of a crap shoot as to whether your dollar is actually promoting your values when you contribute.
This simple 3-point plan calls for fiscal accountability on the part of both the candidate and the Party.

Your address confirms that you are a bonafide Vancouver (BC) resident who has lived in Vancouver for at least six months and is 18 years of age.
We need 50 SIGNATURES by the end of August 14th.
41. Do not force a new Canadian election!
Dear Honourable Stephen Harper and associate Members of Parliament;
As stated in the Globe and Mail, on Thursday April 28th, 2005, the honourable Stephen Harper will move to bring a no-confidence vote against the liberal government in the following month. Such an action has dire consequences for both Canadian Democracy, and the faith one has in Canadian Politics.
Although this faith has been repeatedly shattered, given the claims of corruption brought forth in regards to the sponsership scandal and the Gomery inquiry, forcing an election prior to the release of the report would undermine Canadian's ability to judge for themselves whether the Liberal government has lost the 'moral authority' to govern. While there is much anger with the Liberal Government, in Quebec and throughout Canada, for the sake of democracy, Canadians must be able to judge for themselves the scope of the injustice of the sponsership scandal. As a result, an election should not be forced until the Gomery Report has been produced.
Secondly, such an election would be a waste of both time that lawmakers could spend doing their job, as well as of the taxpayers money. Millions were lost in the sponsership scandal, but just how many more millions would be lost in an election that would produce near-identical results as the previous one. It is highly doubtful that given the divided support of Canadians an election would result in anything other than another minority government. As a result, it would be likley that such an election would produce a conservative or liberal minority government to be toppled once again a year or so after its formation. In other words, the question must arise, "Why must an election be held now?"
It is obvious that the Conservative Party's answer to this is that the liberal government has lost all moral authority to govern. However, this sponsership scandal is hardly new to this minority government, as it was equally an issue in the previous federal election of 2004. The only change is the production of the Gomery report revealing the details of the scandal. And that is exactly why the federal election should wait until at the very least the entire report has been released. Let the Canadian people see for themselves the details of the corruption first hand. There should be no reason for the Canadian people to have to rely on the media's point of view of the Gomery inquiry. It should be released to the public PRIOR to any move for a federal election.
Finally, in June 2004, the Canadian people expressed their wish to have a divided parliament. There was no clear majority, which proves to the legistlature that the Canadian people are divided. The Canadian elected the LIBERAL party as GOVERNING party, the CONSERVATIVE party as OPPOSITION, and both the NEW DEMOCRATIC PARTY and PARTI BLOC QUEBECOIS as significant but smaller OPPOSITION parties. Therefore, each of these parties should work towards comprimises which BEST REFLECT the WILL of the Canadian People. A Minority Parliament is an expression of the Canadain People's desire for comprimise.
42. Abolition of University Tuition Fees in the UK
A call for the abolition of university tuition fees and for grants to be kept for poorer students.
Opposition to the introduction of top-up fees and support for Conservative plans to restore free access to highereducation and to reduce student debt.
