Ex-Inmates, Murderers and the Mentally Ill, have now been sent to live among our elderly, in state run nursing centers in residential communities. Rapists and murderers are roaming the streets from 8am to dusk with no supervision, and are allowed to live with elderly people who can't defend themselves.

In Hazel Crest a south suburb of Chicago, an eighty year old man was brutally beaten when a man broke his window of the retirement center he lived in and savagely beat him to death. His killer was apprehended, but to the shock of the community and the local Police department, the James Riesners killer lived just behind his residence at the Imperial Nursing Facility. He was a 2 time offender and was released from prision and sent to the nursing home because of mental illness. We as a community and a nation should not have these people living in nursing homes around elderly people who are afraid.

to the public as of March 2003. Eurodicautom has become an essential
resource for terminology research for translators worldwide. We would like
to ask the relevant European Union officials to reconsider such a decision,

This petition is to request a meeting with County Commissioner Jan Platt, Rhonda Storm, and Mr. Carter White of the Zoning Department. We would like to appeal the recent zoning of Property at 5903 Edina St. in Wimauma from RSC-6 to RSC-5 (MH). Many residents within the 250 feet boundary of the property were not notified of the rezoning at the above address. The rezoning is not indicative of zoning changes for the community.

Stroke And Disability Information (Hunter) Inc., known as S.A.D.I., originally commenced in 1988 as an advocacy and information service to strokees and their families and was then called Stroke Recovery Hunter Outreach Centre. Acceptance of a government grant required that we drop the Stroke Recovery from our name and include all disabilities. The funding allows us to employ one full-time Coordinator and one part-time Clerical Assistant. The Management Committee is a body of volunteers and we have 2 - 3 volunteers who work in the office as well as a small number of volunteers who work in the community organising localised Stroke Recovery Clubs. Our aim is to provide help and support to ALL people with disabilities, their carers and families, especially strokees. We currently have a clientele of 2000 individuals. Funding is in the order of $55,000/year. Our funding body, Department of Ageing, Disability & Home Care in conjunction with Home and Community Care, is now planning to withdraw funding.

Since the initial release of Medal Of Honor: Allied Assault(TM), a thriving
community of players has developed. This community has now grown to include
thousands of online gamers who regularly join multiplayer servers via the in game browser, GameSpy Arcade or any other 3rd party software.
Despite this, the Publisher/Developers of Medal Of Honor: Allied Assault(TM)
have declined to include an Anti-Cheat for this game, which is riddled with
many 3rd party cheats and hacks such as aimbots, weapons no recoil, see
through wallhacks, no fog, no bushes and trees, and many others...

Punkbuster (http://www.evenbalance.com), a developer of anti-cheat software
is willing to develop an anti-cheat system, but only can do so if EA is
interested in PunkBuster.

We understand the Expansion pack (which includes multiplayer maps) doesn't
include any official form of online anti-cheat, the reason for expressing
our intention to boycott this title.

For approximately 3 years Graal Classic has been a free MMOARPG (Massively-Multiplayer-Online-Action-Role-Playing-Game). Out of practically nowhere, this game became p2p just as the game itself came out of nowhere. We, the fans, should not have to pay for something that has been free for so long. It would be a different thing if it where just a beta, but it was always a full game. In the three years following the initial release of Unreal Tournament, a thriving community of UT Snipers has developed. This community has now grown to include thousands of online gamers who regularly populate servers in an attempt to perfect strategies of stealth and the element of individual aim. Despite this, the developers of UT2003 have declined to include the traditional sniper rifle in their new release. Instead, they have replaced the rifle with a "lightning gun" which is so vastly dissimilar from the pre-existing rifle in terms of mechanics and operation as to be an entirely different weapon in essence and performance.

To this end, this petition requests the inclusion of a sniper arena mod for UT2003 which includes the traditional sniper rifle or some reasonable fascimile thereof.

As loyal supporters of the Unreal series of games, we express our gratitude for the creative work of Digital Extremes, Epic and affiliated organizations involved in the effort to continue the standard of excellence manifest that they have so ably established on our behalf. We only ask that the skills and strategies that we have labored so dilligently to possess and perfect not be ignored or abandoned for the sake of a "balanced" gameplay which eliminates many elements of performance which have attracted us to Unreal and held our interest over the course of several years. Although the mod community would undoubtedly move to rectify this situation, such a mod could concievably result in weeks or even months of delay for those UT weapons players and snipers who seek only to move quickly to support UT2003 with our purchase and our play.

Many people of the Jedi Knight community immensely enjoyed the new single player levels that others had made. Many of this SP levels and missions, such as the infamous Birth of a Mercenary series and Tales of a Mercenary series, as well as many others, sported great things like new weapons from scratch, completely new AI. Not only did this add more variety, it also allowed for level authors to create outstanding missions and atmospheres, such as recreating original Star Wars characters such as Darth Vader (as seen in some Dark Forces levels).

This petition was created to persuade Raven Software and LucasArts Entertainment Company into releasing a full or partial (at least allowing creation of completely new AI) software development kit (SDK) for the public domain. We are calling upon CEO H. Lee Scott to stop the vicious anti-union campaign his company uses to stop employees from legally organizing to better their working conditions.

We, the undersigned, want Wal-Mart to abide by American principles of fair play and free elections and allow Wal-Mart employees to have a free, fair and uncoerced election, and for Wal-Mart to live up to its legal obligation to bargain a contract if the employees choose to have the Union represent them. We promote the following:

-A Code of Ethical Conduct for the conduct of any election

-Join with the Union in allowing Las Vegas's faith community to independently monitor compliance with this Code of Ethical Conduct by both the company and the Union. The Union has agreed.

-Open all meetings with employees to members of Las Vegas's faith community. The Union has agreed to open all of its meetings with employees.

-Renounce such inherently coercive tactics as closed-door, "captive audience" meetings, where employees only receive one-sided propaganda, and to set a higher standard for labor relations in retailing by holding a series of joint appearances with Union representatives to guarantee employees full information before they vote.

This petition is intended promote fiscal responsiblitiy with federal and state taxpayer money by calling for the abandonment of this unneeded and unwanted road building project. U.S. Route 29 Bypass in Charlottesville, Virginia is one of the biggest pork barrel road projects in the nation, according to Taxpayers for Common Sense (TCS), a national budget watchdog organization.

The Bypass will again be ranked as one of the nation's 25 most wasteful projects in its 2002 "Road to Ruin" report. The total cost of the bypass would exceed $200 million -- about $30 million per mile or more -MUCH of which would be shouldered by federal taxpayers.

The local county Board of Supervisors does not want it. The majority of residents does not want it.

For years, the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) has tried to run this 6-mile bypass as their solution to growing traffic on Route 29. However, their own studies show this will not be a good solution (see petition below).

Furthermore, the proposed bypass would cut through the watershed of the community's main drinking water supply and pose an unacceptable risk from erosion, polluted runoff and potential toxic spills.

Under Governor Warner, the Virginia Department of Transportation has undertaken a realistic assessment of its projected revenues and project cost estimates and discovered that it has a major funding shortfall for the projects in its long range plan. It is fiscally irresponsible for VDOT to go forward with this expensive, wasteful project. Governor Warner can put an end to this project.

We now have a rare opportunity to stop the bypass for good. We need your help.

Planet Radio 93.3 has recently canceled their Native Noise program in Jacksonville, FL, which would play all local music on the radio for two hours on a Sunday night. They have recently cancelled the program and have no intentions on bringing it back in the future. This could greatly affect the local music scene here in Jacksonville.

Without the support of a two hour show on the radio anymore, all the bands that are starting out in Jacksonville are going to suffer from a substantial lack of exposure. So to try and prevent the scene here from going down the tubes and drying up. Members of the TAMU Student Senate have come up with a resolution opposing the candidacy of Dr. Spear for the position of Director of Health Services. The resolution has inaccurate "facts" and is bias against Pro-choice believers. The resolution basically says that some one advocating pro-choice "extremes" should not have an influential position such as Director of Healh Services in the conservative community of Texas A&M.

Many people have spoken out in petitions and e-mails supporting this resolution, but the voices of the people who are opposed to this resolution need to be heard also. Senators say they will vote according to what the majority of their constituents think, so we need to show the Senate that many people are opposed to this resolution and to also take that into consideration when it is time to vote.

The whole world realized how destructive terrorism
could be after the September 11th attack. The paradise
island of Sri Lanka had been experiencing similar
attacks for the last 18 years resulting untold
hardship to all the ethnic groups, but the world never
paid any attention to the reality for so long enabling
LTTE terrorists to get stronger day by day. Though
late and a major damage is done, the UK government did
identify terrorist organizations which are operating
from the British soil and banned them following the US
footsteps. Obviously notorious LTTE was included in
the list of terrorist groups banned in the UK
completely destroying the claim of LTTE being a group
of freedom fighters and labeling them as terrorists
rightly so, due to the activities they have been
involved in the past. While all the peace loving Sri
Lankans would like to pay gratitude to the UK
government and its officials who took the first step
of fighting against terrorism, there are a lot more
work needs to be done. It is a very well known fact
that the LTTE operates several offices and some of
their key personalities are still based in the UK
providing them a safe heaven to plan, raise funds and
carry out more and more barbaric attacks against
humanity. The only way to stop them from doing so is
by closing all their offices and arresting the LTTE
leaders including their theoretician Dr. Anton
Balasigham and Mrs. Balasingham, who is an Austrian.
It should be noted that Mr. Balasingham holds a
British passport that is being heavily used to gather
international terrorist momentum. In addition to
arresting and charging him on terrorism counts, he
should be charged by immigration authorities for
illegally leaving the UK soil and entering other
countries. The most recent case being his entry into
the war zone in Sri Lanka and returning to the UK via
Thailand by illegal means. All the other LTTE front
organizations and their leaders also should be treated
the same way before it is too late. As shown in the
recent past, community unrest is popping up in the UK
and it will not take a very long time for the LTTE to
start a separatist movement in the UK along with
similar claim in Canada.

Once again, the leader of the LTTE terrorists Mr.
Velupillae Prabakaran is trying to side step and buy
more time until the dust settles of the US attacks by
claiming that he is "willing" to consider a settlement
short of a separate state. Even though the media has
given a vast coverage to that statement we should not
forget the fact that it is a very ambiguous statement
and he has never kept his proclaimed commitments in
the past. To start with, he purposely used the word
"willing" in his statement, which does not have any
binding. At the beginning of the Norwegian peace
efforts he committed to start peace talks without any
pre-conditions but later started putting up one
condition after the other. So the only way forward is
to shrink his international network by closing all the
front organizations and arresting leaders operating
openly. In that sense the UK government is better
equipped than any other EU members to lead from the
front. It should be noted that if Afghanistan is
guilty of harboring Mr. Osama Bin Laden and his Al
Quaida network, the UK government and other
governments in the world who keep a blind eye to the
LTTE activities in their own backyards are also guilty
of the same crime. Of course Sri Lanka is not a super
power but how can anyone justify over 62,000 deaths in
Sri Lanka in addition to infrastructure damages worth
hundreds of billions of dollars?. After all, the core
issue of discrimination is not only confined to the
Tamil community. Each and every citizen of Sri Lanka
except a select few multi millionaires are
discriminated regardless whether he or she is
Sinhalese, Tamil, Muslim or Burger. The only way out
is a complete destruction of the LTTE terrorism with
the assistance of the international community and a
free and fair political culture in which every Sri
Lankan can live in dignity.

We urge the UK government to proceed to the next step
of fighting against terrorism by arresting the leaders
and closing terrorist networks particularly the LTTE
which is the largest such group operating on the
British soil.

The Official Court TV Club was a club where justice, court cases and other legal issues were supposed to be discussed among members. It was a community comprised of people worldwide who come together to discuss many issues and where friendships were formed and debates were the norm of the day.

However, this is no longer the case.

For many months, it has instead become a place where the moderator, CTV_Warhorse46, a paid CTV employee of The Official Court TV Club, deletes posts because someone does not care for a CTV anchor and says so; deletes posts because someone posts Clintoon instead of Clinton; and deletes posters because they believe in 1st amendment rights of Free Speech. It is a place where you can be sent to the corner if you even hint that Nancy Grace is not your favorite person or because a CTV anchor might become offended. Political figures may NOT be discussed in unflattering terms. It has become a place, not where you can discuss issues important to you or the community, but where what you have to say is censored and you are chastised.

It has become a CTV Anchor Fan Club.

Then it became even worse.

This week, after apparent years of posting photographs belonging to others, the moderator was actually caught red-handed by the actual owner of copyrighted photographs. When asked to remove the photographs, the moderator complied, only to later post a fraudulent email purportedly coming from the owner of the photographs. This was done purely to cover up her illegal activity. The photographer had to return yet again to let the members know she had not sent the fraudulent email and that the moderator did not have her permission to use her material.

Since then, dozens of posts have been deleted in order to hide what happened and other posters have been deleted as members. As of today, CTV had yet to see fit in removing CTV_Warhorse46, a CTV employee paid to be the moderator of The Official Court TV Club.

Do adults have to be monitored in such a way that they are nothing more than mindless robots or a group of sheep? Must they only post what is acceptable to a few? Is this how Court TV runs things? We certainly hope not. We need a moderator who is unbiased and fair. We need a moderator that can head off trouble before it happens. Bashing and flaming of posters should never be allowed, yet freedom to discuss our beliefs on any issue should be a right – one afforded to us by the Constitution.

We Demand the Resignation of CTV_Warhorse46 and the Club returned to it’s stated mission. A place to talk about crime and justice issues. A place to form friendships and exchange ideas on every subject important to us. A place to become “our community online” once again.

This petition is to request that Charter Cable reinstate broadcast of EWTN Global Catholic Network to the Catholic community in the Greenville, South Carolina region. When Charter Cable merged their Anderson area and Greenville area services, they changed all programming to the Greenville, SC programming already in place. The EWTN programs were deleted from the new schedule.

Charter has stated that they will not re-instate EWTN programming without a petition for same from local Catholics. This programming is FREE OF CHARGE to Charter, but will not be re-instated unless a demand can be shown from the local Catholic community.

Disabled persons in Newfoundland & Labrador have come under recent attack via Health and Community Services, whereby long term established care has been tested and tried by appointed Community Health Boards which lack educated and experienced personnel in being able to make proper judgment calls in often life threatening medical situations.

These boards are without specific direction or education on the need of individual clients and situations have arisen where disabled individuals have been left helpless and alone to provide for themselves.

Assessments previously conducted on clients with programs and services in effect as a result of these assessments have in many cases been privy to the discretion of front line workers, whereby irrational decisions have been made, and negatively affecting client services. Clients with sever and life altering disabilities are now being placed in unfair predicaments and many are taking ill.

Hospitalization of various individuals with severe disability requires specifically trained and experienced individuals to care for the patient. In all cases if this is a requirement of clients under the umbrella of Health and Community Services, then funding is channeled to the client for the purpose of employing these client supports. If however a client is hospitalized for more than 72 hours he/she will lose both funding and supportive service of the employee. This often puts grave detriment on the patient as most hospital staff are generally trained and have no experience in disease specific disability.

Persons with such osteo disease are now at severe risk of injury. This has to change.

We, the residents of Eastwood community would not like Mr. Craig to vacate his home, because we like his presence in the neighborhood. He helps our kids with bikes, cuts their hair, plays with them, he is a good person in the community and we think that the good will out weigh the bad.

If it was one of your kids, brother, sister, etc, that was living from a wheelchair, you would want the best thing for them. We think that everyone needs another chance. We have just about the safest community in housing. Mr. Craig has no family that he can turn to for help and if you all put him out on the streets his life is going to be shot, because the shelter is not accessible to him so we as a community would like for Mr. Craig to keep his place

If we can help our country in this time of sorrow, then we can do the same for Mr. Craig.

Background: during much of the last 18 years, a devastating war has been raging in Sudan. It has cost the lives of two million people and forced more than four million people from their homes and ancestral lands. The war is marked by a systematic campaign of terror by the government in Khartoum against its own people, especially Christians and practitioners of African traditional religions.

The denial of religious freedom in the North, the systematic persecution of Christians, and the destruction of African cultural identity lie at the heart of the conflict. Religion and culture are manipulated by a government that thirsts for power and money. While the principal responsibility lies with the Khartoum government, there are credible reports of human rights abuses in the South, notably by the Sudanese People's Liberation Movement/Army (SPLM/A), the main rebel group in southern Sudan.

For the more than thirty million Sudanese living in the largest country in Africa, the war continues to disrupt their lives, forcing them to live in a permanent state of insecurity and fear. The bombings of hospitals, schools, churches, homes and fields by the government in Khartoum continues to threaten the lives of innocent civilians in the south and other contested areas, including the Nuba Mountains. The government also denies humanitarian access to international donor agencies that seek to provide food, medicines and other items vital to the survival of those most vulnerable.

The bishops of Sudan fully support the Declaration of Principles that was signed by the two major parties to the conflict. The Declaration of Principles provide a framework for a comprehensive cease-fire, conditions for the creation of an interim government, an equitable distribution of economic resources, and the holding of a referendum in the South to allow the people to decide for themselves their political future. Support by the U.S. government and the international community for peace initiatives based on these fundamental principles is essential if there is to be a just and lasting peace. It is also critical that all parties to the conflict, the regional neighbors of Sudan and the international community, cooperate as broadly as possible in this process.

USCC Recent Trip to Sudan: A delegation of bishops from the USCC recently visited Khartoum and southern Sudan. They witnessed, first hand, the suffering of the Sudanese people, especially the more than 2 million internally displaced living in and around Khartoum in a permanent situation of insecurity, harassment, religious and social isolation and economic exclusion. War in the South and other contested areas has caused tremendous human suffering. Aerial bombardments of civilian targets by the government in Khartoum continues. Thousands of people are driven from their homes and lands in oil-rich areas.

USCC Position: The Sudanese government must stop bombings of civilian targets in the south and other contested areas.

The Sudanese government and rebel groups must halt the abduction and enslavement of the Sudanese from oil-rich areas and northern Bahr Al-Ghazal region, as well as other human rights violations.

The Sudanese government, the international community and multinational oil companies must take steps to ensure that revenues generated by the development of oil resources are not used to fuel the war.

The Sudanese government must respect religious freedom and a the many African cultures represented by the Sudanese peoples and stop its program of forced Islamization and Arabization.

Action Requested: We urge that all Catholics and others of good will write to the President of the United States and the Secretary of State with two specific requests: That the new U.S. administration raise the level of involvement of the President of the United States and the Secretary of State in the matter of Sudan, and that it press our allies in Europe and elsewhere to bring increased diplomatic pressure upon the Government of Sudan to work for a just resolution to the war. Also, that the President name a high-level Special Envoy to Sudan who will be given a clear mandate and have direct access to the President and the Secretary of Sudan

In 1947 India and Pakistan came into existence breaking free from British colonial rule. The agreement signed by the three declared that all the states would be given a chance to vote and pledge their allegiance to either Pakistan or India.

Unfortunately the State of Kashmir was never given that chance. In the past 50 years the Indian government has repeatedly in the International Community promised to fulfill this mandatory obligation.

Today the Indian Military has killed nearly 60,000 unarmed civilians and displaced over 100,000 others in order to forcefully occupy the Land of Kashmir.

Unfortunately Kashmir is not the only one oppressed by the fascist Indian regime. There are 17 other minority states that are oppressed and are subject to the worst type of Human Rights abuse in the world. Kashmir and Punjab are the worst treated among them.
