For the past century or so, the sport of skateboarding has done nothing but grow throughout the world. And that definitely doesn't exclude the City of Shepherdsville, Kentucky.
For years, police officers and business owners have run off kids skateboarding on their property due to damaged property and/or bodily injuries. Why must we keep shutting out kids from doing what they love to do? Building a skate plaza in the City of Shepherdsville benefits more than just the kids involved in extreme sports; it also gives a beautiful scenery and a wonderful addition to a city park.
A skate plaza is nothing more than taking the ideas and layouts of street skating spots, and combining them into one local area that is not illegal for skaters to go to. The benefits highly out-weigh the costs for this project. Skaters will have a legal place to skate, kids will be off the streets, it would bring in tourism, and it would help lower the number of teens getting hooked on drugs and alcohol because they would have a place to go and be themselves and be active in sports.
Studies have shown that most kids get involved in illegal activities due to not having anywhere to go and be involved. The construction of a skate plaza in Shepherdsville will definitely have a positive impact on the community and help keep our children active and safe!
2. Heart of Denver Dogs - Off Leash HOURS in Denver Parks 
Heart of Denver Dogs is a community group for dog owners who believe in the health, welfare, and socialization of our pets. Due to geographic limitation such as condo living and zero yards, pet owners need to get the City of Denver and our representatives on board to allow us the freedom to exercise, solcialize, and play freely but responsibly in our local parks.
PLEASE JOIN THE MOVEMENT.
We are asking for off leash hours in all Metro Parks in a safe and community oriented way.
3. Stop Swine Finishing Facitlity
June 26, 2006
340 X 50 ft swine finishing facitlity less than a mile from Petersburg, City park and Residential district.
The smell from this hog facitlity will be so bad that no one will be able to enjoy the city park and the property owners will lose their value of property and will not be able to enjoy the outside of their own homes.

We, the undersigned request a review and re-design of the current speed bumps placed at the entrance to City Park car park.
This is due to numerous complaints of cumulative motor vehicle damage.

5. New City Park for RiverPointe
Riverpointe is a new single family housing development built by Orrin Thompson. We have been informed that the undeveloped land adjacent from our neighborhood has also been purchased by Orrin Thompson. We are requesting that approximately three acres of this land be purchased by the ciy of Otsego for a city park with bike/walking paths.
