541. Petition To Renovate For A Safer Living Environment 
This petition is created upon request by tenants residing at Willowick Gardens. This petition is also to be used as formal notification by tenants for the sole purpose and intent of informing said Organization of usafe and unsatisfactory living conditions.
Due to uncontrollable weather conditions, our Apartment Complex has been left in a state of needed repair. Below is a list of said repairs that must be addressed immediately.
1.) Parking lot on East side of complex is damaged beyond repair and temporarily closed to traffic until further notice.
2.) Drainage system does not work well enough to prevent damages from small amounts of rain. We have had several displaced tenants due to flood and water damage.
3.) Apartments that have flooded and been vacated are left open and unattended, allowing children access to unsafe materials and properties.
4.) Maintanence work orders are going unfilled due to lack of hired help.
5.) The childrens play area, recently removed due to severe injury, is no longer available for children of tenants to play on.
6.) As promised by Online website located at:http://www.apartments.com, the fitness rooms are in need of repair and contain only one working device in each room.
7.) As promised by website, Saunas are available, however have not been repaired and are unusable by tenants.
8.) Scheduled repairs and maintanence orders are not followed through, for example, scheduled carpet cleans and scheduled pest control appointments.
542. Reschedule Bus Pick Up Time to Brayton High School
The school bus collects our children from Temple Hirst, Hirst Courtney and West Bank, at 7.50 am. The children are then dropped at school at 8.10 am. They are left to wait outside in whatever weather conditions prevail, unsheltered and unsupervised for at least 20 minutes until 8.30am. School does not begin until 9am.
543. Illegal drugs and Unborn Children in Missouri
To spread awareness of the increasing problem of children born to drug addicts. These children suffer numerous birth defects and the possibility of death.
I wish to send this signed petition to our state representatives so women who use illegal drugs while pregnant will be charged with a felony.
544. End the Use of Child Soldiers
Children around the world serve in 75% of the world's armed conflicts. They are forced to commit atrocities towards people and often abused.
545. One strike law for child sex offenders
One strike law for convicted child sex offenders in order to protect American children and their right to a safe environment.
546. Place a Caution Traffic Light on Bellevue and a Niles
The corner of Bellevue Ave and Niles Ave continutes to be an area of great danger for the pedestrians and traffic in this area. This has been the area of three or four traffic accidents in the last year. This is especially hazardous because of children and traffic attending Mt. Calvary Academy and the city's park accross the street and the newly opended George Butts Park, on Bellevue Avenue.
We have requested the city of Daytona to place caution light in this area, on several occasions. It is our opinion that the placement of this caution light will tremendously add to the safety of our children and help prevent our children from injury.
547. Stop cruel deportation of mother of two young US children
Rosalba M. is a Mexican citizen who has been living and working as a housekeeper in the SF Bay Area for approximately the past thirteen years. Her two sons, G.(13) and L.(11) are U.S. citizens who have lived here their entire lives and attend public school in the Bay Area. Rosalba divorced their father some years ago due to his repeated physical abuse. Rosalba was awarded custody of the children and they live with her most of the time. She has sole responsibility for their up bringing. Rosalba is a law-abiding, hard-working, loving mother who is a tremendous role model for her children. She has invested all of her spare time and scarce resources in giving them a better opportunity than she has had in life, including a quality education. G. and L. are good, well-behaved children who are deeply attached to their mother. G. is an honor student. L. has some learning disabilities that require special attention from the school and his mother. Their father takes little interest in the children and has shown little concern for their welfare. He is unemployed, has a criminal record and he and his current wife have refused to pay court-ordered child support for two years.
Following a bureaucratic process, Rosalba has been notified by Homeland Security that she will be deported as an illegal alien on May 3, and that she may not re-enter the country for at least five years. She has consistently cooperated with the immigration authorities and has repeatedly appealed to them to consider the impact of their proposed actions on her children. Section 240A of the Immigration and Nationality Act provides eligibility for relief in cases of hardship to children such as this one. However, her appeals to the immigration service and the courts have been rejected, and the children are now facing the terrifying prospect of having their mother permanently taken away from them by their own Government.
They face an impossible choice:
· Stay in the United States without their mother, dependent on a violent father who has shown little concern for their education or general welfare, or
· Go with their mother to live in one of the poorest regions of Mexico, a country whose language they do not speak, without access to education or financial support
In either case, the impact on their lives will be devastating.
548. Stop the Use of Child Soldiers
Though the use of children is condemned by the international community, many countries continue this atrocious practice.
This practice causes grave psychological and physical harm to a child. What's more troubling is that they are forced to carry out acts of violence towards other children. Boys are not the only victims of this horrible problem. Both boys and girls are victims of this issue.
Please join us in abolishing the use of children as soldiers.
549. Abolish the Use of Child Soldiers
Though the use of children as soldiers is condemned by the international community, the atrocious practice are still continued in many countries.
Children involved in armed conflict, are beaten, raped, and killed. What's more troubling is that they are forced to carry out the same violent actions towards other people, even other children. Child soldiers live under severe conditions. They are not given the care that every child should get. Boys are not the only victim of this serious issue. Girls are also recruited as soldiers and are more at risk of rape, sexual harassment or abuse. Like the boys, they are also force to participate in combat.
We have an obligation to millions of children to make sure that they don't spend their childhood in a violent world where they must kill or be killed.
Please join us in our efforts to abolish the use of child soldiers.
550. Time for change at San Souci Apartments
We are having many problems at 11605, 11607, 11625, and 11627 Canal Drive in the San Souci Apartments we are having constant trouble finding parking spaces and our cars are being scratched due to construction not being finished, we have no pool, we are constantly finding drug paraphanilia on the grounds, drug dealers are hanging around at all hours of the day/night, we have had a sexual offender living on the property and weren't told about it so we can protect our children, our washers and dryers never work, plus our apartmnets have numerous problems.
551. Stop sex offenders
Harsher punishment for sex offenders that not only violate our innocent children but often times kill them. If you are going to let them out of prison make a way of tracking them. The registery is not working. As with Jessica Lunsford in Florida often times the offenders relocate with out letting the registery know leaving our children vulnurable to these creeps.
We as parents and officials need to take greater steps to protect our children.
552. Keep "Accidents Will Happen" from Season 3 of Degrassi off the air
A lot of people want to see accidents will happen on the N, but because of the way abortion is protrayed in thess episodes a lot of people also do not want these episodes to air.
Please do not air them. Some of us do not want our children or siblings exposed to unhealthy, inhumane, and immoral behavior. Everyone deserves the right to life, regardless of what the writers on this show think.

WE THE PARENTS OF BREVOORT CHILDREN ENTER WISH TO LET YOU KNOW THAT WE ARE VERY HAPPY WITH MRS SORIANO, AND WE WOULD LIKE FOR HER TO CONTINUE STAYING HERE AT BREVOORT CHILDREN CENTER , SHE IS A WONDERFUL PERSON AND HAS DONE A LOT OF GOOD CHANGES IN THE SCHOOL.
554. End the Embargo against Cuba!
For more than 45 years, this illegal and immoral policy has achieved the sole function of harming hundreds of thousands of innocent men, women and children, by preventing ready access to food, medicine and other essential goods.
Not only does the embargo indiscriminately punish the Cuban people by:
* Barring the delivery of the newest, most effective medicines, medical equipment, and medical information;
* Discouraging foreign companies from sending goods to Cuban ports;
* Blocking the shipment of water treatment equipment that prevents the spread of water-borne disease;
* Causing life-threatening nutritional deficiencies in pregnant women and children.
The embargo also stifles individual American freedoms and the free exchange of values and ideas by:
* Denying our right to free travel;
* Refusing all visits to extended family in Cuba;
* Forbidding more than one visit every three years to a close family member in Cuba (even if sick or dying);
* Prohibiting the free exchange of values and ideas;
* Restricting the exchange of students and scholars;
* Forbidding professionals from academic, scientific and cultural conferences sponsored by U.S. or Cuban institutions.
555. Jessica Lunsford (a child's right)

We need more rights for children! This is a petition for a 9 year old girl known as Jessica Lunsford.
She is no longer here because of a sick man who was a sex offender and never was registered as one. We need to put a stop to a sex offender's freedom.
They do not deserve freedom! How could he of not even been registerd as one? This is not right! Everyone has a right to know who the offenders are and where they are all located so our children are aware of them too and can be more safe.
556. Down With Tiny Toon Adventures On Nicktoons TV!
Tiny Toon Adventures has recently taken over The Angry Beavers time slot on Nicktoons TV, while we understand the change will only be temporary, we must get Tiny Toon Advenutures off for the following reasons.
1. Duh, Angry Beavers Rules and TTA Stinks!
2. Angry Beavers is more popular than Tiny Toon Adventures, which will lower Nicktoons TV's ratings.
3. Angry Beavers is owned by Nickelodeon, but TTA is owned by Steven Speilpburg, so Nick will have to Speilburg money to air the show, so Angry Bevaers=Saved Money.
4. Young children who watch the network do not like sudden change, it will make them upset and they will stop watching.
5. Once again for young children, Tiny Toon Adventures is Rated TVY7 because of slightly innaproriate content, Angry Beavers is rated TVY and is approriate for children of all ages.
These are all the factors that should get Angry Beavers it's time slot back, DOWN WITH TINY TOONS!
557. Megans Law should be practiced in all Countries and States to protect our children
For those of you that are unaware of Megan's Law, it was a Law proposed to the United States in the mid 1990's after a little girl called Magan Kanka was molested and killed by her neighbor Jessy Timmendequas who has now been since charged and sent to jail and is now on death row.
Maureen Kanka, mother of Megan Kanka put all her energy and time then into creating a law called "Megan's Law", which means convicted pedophiles will be listed to the public with in his or her delectated area.
558. Wrestling facilitity for the rhea county high school werstling team
The rhea county high school wrestling team needs a facility to practice and compete in just the same as other sports at the school. The wrestling season lasts four months for the regular season. The team must share the gym with the basketball teams, volleyball teams and the baseball team. The team consists of at least 25 children during the regular season.
There is also the feeder program that has been gaining poularity in the last few years as wrestling becomes more popular in the state for competion sports. we currently have around 40 children enrolled in this program.
559. Ban School Uniforms in Yazoo County Schools
February 22, 2005
85% of parents with children enrolled in the Yazoo county School systems voted against the rule that all children attending Yazoo County schools must wear school uniforms to school next year.
Most parents in Yazoo County are either poor or middle class and the expense of uniforms when they usually have to buy either off-brand clothes or second-hand clothes is just too much. Sending our children on field trips is expensive enough as it is when you have a hard enough time buying groceries and neccessities. Now the school board wants to add the extra expense of uniforms. The teachers voted 55% for uniforms. If the parents' votes were higher (85%), why did the school board vote to use uniforms against the parents' wishes? The children themselves will feel like just a number to the teachers with no individuality.
A child's clothing is an expression of his/her personality. I will not send my children to a school that infringes on their rights and the parents' pocket books with total disregard for the parent and child's feelings in this matter.
560. Ban second hand smoke in foster homes in British Columbia
The 10,000 children in the care of the Province of BC ,living in approximately 4,000 foster homes and group homes deserve to live in a smoke-free environment.
In addition to the 4,000 chemicals and 40 known carcinogens in second-hand smoke, exposure also affects learning and behavioral development. Second-hand smoke leads to problems ranging from ear infections, asthma and increased crib deaths to bronchial conditions, respiratory conditions and some types of cancer.
We want laws to protect innocent children from the adverse affects of second hand smoke to be put in place as soon as possible. As concerned mothers, we demand this for each and every child in foster care in the Province of British Columbia.
561. Petition in support of Minnesota Mothers and Children
My name is Anne L. Halverson. I am a 21-yr-old mother of a one-year-old son, Aidan. I take motherhood very seriously and I take my employment seriously. In order to be employed and provide the best childcare environment for my son, I rely on a state funded child care subsidy. That means, based on my income, I pay a percentage of my son's child care expenses and the State of Minnesota subsidizes rest.
My son thrives at his day care center, Noah's Ark, in Hopkins, MN. He is cared for by well trained providers who, like me, want him to meet his growth milestones, be happy and well adjusted, understand about sharing, learn about tolerance, and be prepared for kindergarten. My son and I also rely on state subsidized health care. His pediatric clinic monitors his growth, advises me about his medical needs and has helped me become a confident parent. I know how fortunate we are to live in a state that values children by providing these opportunities.
Minnesota's governor, Tim Pawlenty, has proposed a budget that will slash child-care and health care subsidies for single mothers like me and our children. Without the aid of these subsidies, I will be forced to quit my job, surrender my opportunities to advance in the workforce, stay home full time with my child and apply for welfare benefits.
If you believe in and support mothers with young children who want their children in safe, regulated childcare centers; women who are proud to be part of Minnesota's workforce, please sign this petition.
I will present this petition when I speak before a Minnesota Senate Committee that is convening on Tuesday, February 22, at the Minnesota State Capital.

562. Fair Child Support Laws in Florida
In Florida under the current laws they can take/make you pay up to 55% of your income in child support. Though I believe that parents should support their children I also believe that the support payer should be allowed to keep enough money to live.
The Court system doesn't care if you have children living with you or not or if you have a new family there is no consideration of these issues.
The paying parent must pay this amount plus pay for the costs of Insurance, Daycare and what ever else the Courts add on.
This is not an attempt to allow parents to not pay support, but an attempt to get the laws changed to a more fair percentage of 20 to 30% of net income.
563. Save the Kid's TIME Children's Museum of Antelope Valley
For 3 years, the Kid's TIME Children's Museum of the Antelope Valley has enlightened the children of the Antelope Valley with over 35 interactive Touch, Imagine, Make and Explore exhibits. It is the only facility of its type within a 100 mile radius. The Museum has hosted over 300 school fieldtrips, 150 birthday parties, and currently carries approximately 350 family memberships.
The Museum is now in danger of closing due to insufficient support from the city.
564. Chew In School
Most schools these days have rules saying that children are not allowed to chew gum in a classroom. However statistics show that memory improves by almost 15% more than when you are not chewing gum.
565. Stop hunting on the Rhodes property.
To: Onslow county officals.
There are houses and children all boarding the Rhodes property. The use of guns in this area is a danger to everyone in it.
566. Abolish Bathroom Use Policy at Peru Community Schools
Petition against Peru Community Schools for Bathroom Use Punishment.
There has been a situation during this 2004-2005 school year that was brought to my attention by my children. They were being punished with standing on the wall at recess for needing to use the restroom. I, Walter Campbell Jr., approached Thomas McKaig in a private meeting about the situation. I was told it is the teachers' discretion on how to handle bathroom privileges and that he had asked a Dr. and was told children could go 4 hours without needing to use the restroom. As you will find in my research, it is healthy for a child to use the restroom at least every 2 hours if not more. I brought up that children will have accidents from holding it and not wanting to get in trouble and his response was "Well more children haven't had accidents than have had accidents". I don't think these children should even have the opportunity to have an accident. Every child is different and they drink different amounts of liquid, body retains liquid differently, bladder sizes differ, along with many other differences in children. As I see it using the restroom is not a privilege, it is a necessity for health and psychological reasons. Nothing further was done to investigate the situation.
I did some research on the harms of children not being able to use the restroom and sent these items to school with my children and they were returned to me. The documentation can be viewed at http://www.childadvocate.org/1b.htm or http://www.nospank.net/frbw.htm .
My children are now allowed to go to the restroom when they need to without punishment, but ONLY my children. They are also being treated differently as they do not get in trouble when clearly they should or being let to do things any other child would not ordinarily be allowed to do. This is being done to keep me from filing a lawsuit about the bathroom policy. I do not feel this is fair to the rest of the children in the Peru Community School Corporation, as now this is discrimination to the other children, and ask that something be done. We as adults have OSHA to protect us and it is law that we are able to use the restroom at any time needed, why not our children.
I do know that at Blair Pointe that there are some classes where children are not allowed to use the restroom at all when asked. Then we have Jr. High and High School, where they are given 5 minutes between classes to get books, go to restroom, and make it across the school to get to class. This is not enough time for a normal human to complete such tasks.
I think that the school system has to understand that they need to conform to the needs of the students, not to the needs of the facility. We pay the taxes to keep our schools running and to teach our children. Teaching them that using the restroom is a punishable act is not what we as Miami County residents pay for.
I feel it is our responsibility as parents to know what our schools bathroom use policy is and remedy the situation so that our children know that using the restroom is a normal bodily function and not a punishable act. We as parents have an obligation to be sure our children are safe from physical and mental harm, but letting our schools punish children for a natural body function is considered abuse both physically and mentally. Continued denial of bathroom use will eventually harm our children physically and if they wet themselves they will be harmed mentally.
567. Woof On DVD
WOOF ON DVD
We all remember Woof, the long running Children's TV series following the adventures of a young schoolboy who was able to transform himself into a dog. Only his best friend knew about this and had to help him protect the secret from his parents every week. What would have happened if they had found out!
Ok, so I'm sure you'll all agree the show was extremely entertaining to watch and the scrapes the boy and his friend always got into was hilarious. There were funny new ideas every week and I seem to remember they had quite a few celebrity guest appearances. They were really good quality viewing for adults as well as kids and when I was reminiscing recently, I thought wouldn't it be great if these were released on DVD so that today's children could enjoy them?
So, with that in mind I established this petition to be sent to the show's creator, David Cobham, to plead with him to release the show!
If you regularly imitated the little ginger kid scratching his nose like I did, then please sign the petition and help immortalise one of the stars of the small screen!
568. Better living environment for 1801 n rosedale street
This is to ask the people at 1801 n rosedale street for their signatures for the problems that consist within our building so that we can try and move towards a better environment and home setting for ourselves and our children.
569. Children needs their fathers.
All fathers should have rights to spend time with, or even call if not able to see their child or children. Whether if local or long distance, they should have the right to make a choice to see or call them at anytime if needed.
The residents of Kedron Hills would like to see a 4-way stop sign at the intersection of Astoria Lane, Euclid Court and Creston Hill. This would slow down speeders and help insure the safety of our kids.
This intersection is one of the busiest school bus stops in the neighborhood and installing two more stop signs on Astoria would greatly deminish the probablity of accidents and or fatalities invloving our children.
