1. PLEASE create a NEW Star Trek TV Series!!!! :)
The WORLD, as you can see... MISSES having a Star Trek SERIES! :)
2. Reinstate "pips and crowns" for Canadian Army officers
Prior to Unification in 1968, Canada's Army officers wore the traditional "pips and crowns" for ranks from second lieutenant to general.
Upon Unification, the Army (or Mobile Command as it became known) wore generic bars, the same as the Navy and Air Force.
3. Reinstate Paul Gallen as the Captain of the Cronulla Sharks
On the 1st June 2009, Paul Gallen was stood down as club captain of the Cronulla Sharks Rugby League Club. This demotion was the result of the culmination of a number of circumstances leading to significant media interest which were deemed to be detrimental to the Cronulla Sharks and the NRL. This demotion roughly coincided with a form slump of epic proportions.
Since the 14 June 2009, the Cronulla Sharks have played a total of 14 NRL games and recording losses in each. Including the two trial games played by the club in the 2010 season, this equates to a total of 16 matches played without a victory.
Re-instating Paul Gallen as the Captain of the Cronulla Sharks must, in part, lead to a restoration of self-belief and determination within the Club.
4. Fabregas to be next Arsenal Captain
I will keep it simple.
This petition is to show the support of Arsenal Fans from all over the world to express their choice of making Cesc Fabregas the next Arsenal Captain.
William Gallas (the current Arsenal captain) is an excellent player and an assest to Arsenal FC but his leadership qualities don't match his on-field abilites and its time to make one of the best players/role models/assests of Arsenal FC captain of the club.
Please only sign this petition if you agree with the above.
I'm hoping to get 10,000's if not 100,000's of signatures to show our support and I will be then sending it to Arsenal FC on behalf of everyone on the petition.
5. Bring Johnny Depp To Rome PA
I have always wanted to meet Johnny Depp. He has never come near where I live.
6. Sack Kane Johnson as Richmond Football Club captain!
Kane Johnson is currently the Richmond Football Club (AFL) captain...
7. We want Rahul Dravid in the Indian cricket team!!!
Rahul Dravid has been DROPPED from the Indian team.
He is said to have been rested but I doubt this. If he was, then he would have been practicing along with his team mates ahead of the pakistan series and not playing Ranji matches.
There is no evidence to suggest that Rahul had lack of form. He was one of the top run getters in England.
There are other players in the Indian team who are not performing any better. In fact some of them like Harbhajan, Zaheer and Agarkar for instance haven't been performing from time immemorial.
8. Merciless team members speak up!!!
One of the captains of team Merciless, j-rod (jerad arias) has a history of being an elitist, displaying hard-nosed tactics to achieve his desires, constantly issuing double standards, and being totally unqualified for the position he occupies on team merciless (co-captain and 'coach').
These personality traits have been evident to numerous members of the paintball community since 2003, most recently to members of team Merciless (undersigned). We, as members of team Merciless, care about the direction of the team and we feel that if j-rod is allowed to run practice and carry on as co-captain and 'coach', the team will be going in the wrong direction, not to mention destroy team morale.
9. Prevent Extradition of Captain Dragan
***SCROLL TO BOTTOM OF PAGE TO SIGN PETITION***
Daniel Snedden (AKA Dragan Vasiljkovic and Captain Dragan), an Australian Citizen is being held in prison, for over 3 years so far, with convicted criminals yet he has not been charged. He has been accused of commiting war crimes during the conflict in the former Yugoslavia but there has been no evidence of these claims. The Croatian Government is requesting his extradition to Croatia and the Australian Government is happy to incarcerate one of its own citizens on hearsay. Under the Extradition Act 1988 no evidence is required to extrdite a person to the requesting country. If it was the USA, UK or Canada requesting his extradition, they would require evidence of the allegations, not so for certain countries, in this case Croatia.
Daniel has already faced the War Crimes Tribunal in the Hague in 2003, and was released without any charges. He even declined an offer of immunity. To the Serbs, Daniel is a National Hero and Humanitarian and consequently he is a war trophy to Croatia.
If the Australian Government can incarcerate an Australian Citizen with convicted prisoners for over 3 years and consider extradition without a case for defence, what is to stop this happening to other Australian Citizens of differing heritage? Australian soldiers could be sent to Iraq on mere allegations.
Daniel was in Yugoslavia when the conflict broke out and lead the special unit from Krajina in a disciplined and coordinated manner which in turn lead to many successful missions and becoming one of Serbia's National Heroes in a time of deep depression.
It was during the ten years after the war though, when he cemented himself in the hearts of Serbians, as he raised millions of dollars to help rehabilitate and educate 67 000 ex soldiers and provided support, scholarships and financial assistance to 14 000 children and orphans through the Foundation Kapetan Dragan. Clearly, this is not the profile of a war criminal but of a humanitarian.
After the war, he addressed the International War Crimes Tribunal at The Hague, where he endured hours of interrogation. He was offered immunity, which he turned down, as he was confident that he did not act outside the Geneva Conventions. This addressed his role in the war and resulted in NO prosecution. This should have been his chance to go on with a normal life.
Kapetan Dragan has dual citizenship in Australia and Serbia and currently resides in Australia. Kapetan Dragan came back to Australia at the end of 2004 to reconnect with his family and friends. He is a qualified Golf Pro and was teaching golf in Perth until his life was disrupted in September 2005, by The Australian newspaper. The article, which featured on the front page, made some outlandish false claims about Dragans activities during the war.
Kapetan Dragan decided to take legal action against The Australian and Nationwide News for defamation. A person does not take on the likes of Rupert Murdock if they have any skeletons in the closet. This act alone suggests that Dragan is a man of impecability who has nothing to hide. The Defamation Case was due to begin in the first week of February 2006. However he was detained under an arrest warrant issued by the Croatian Government on 19th January, two weeks before the court case was to commence.
Kapetan Dragan has been in the limelight, he was always publicly available and he kept in contact with relevant departments and ASIO so that they were aware of his movements and places of residence. Which makes you question why a warrant was issued at this particular time, some 15 years after the war?
Kapetan Dragan was refused bail and continues to be behind bars, the only person in Australia to be in a jail without being charged. He has no access to resources to prepare a case to defend himself and is a political prisoner.
The Serbs for Justice and Democracy are concerned that he will not get a fair trial in a Croatian court and also fear for his safety if he is extradited. Phillip Ruddock has said that an extradition notice would not be regarded, if there were a chance that the prisoner would face execution. I am suggesting that by sending this man to a Croatian jail, torture and execution is certain, perhaps not through the legal system though. The Croatian courts have a reputation for convicting ethnic Serbs of war crimes as petty as stealing plates. A report by Human Rights Watch also indicates that in 2002 83% of all ethnic Serbs indicted for war crimes before Croatian Courts were convicted, compared to only 18% of Croats in Serbia. So what are Kapetan Dragan's chances of a fair and just hearing?
The aim of this petition is to create awareness of this mans situation, that he is a political prisoner and has limited resources to defend his case. He is simply an Australian citizen, who did his job at a tragic time of war to help his people get a better standard of life.
We are seeking people to sign this petition and support Kapetan Dragan Vasiljkovic, an Australian passport holder, and his family and friends in preventing his extradition to Croatia. The war has ended and we do not want to see race relations stretched because of the power of media.
If the allegations must be heard, then they must be heard in a neutral location where Daniel can exercise his right to a fair trial.
Help keep an Australian/Serbian family together and don't allow this to happen to other Australians.
10. Make a Live Action Captain Planet Movie!
I don't know about you, but I've always wanted a multi-ethnic group of kids and their blue friend to tell me what I should and shouldn't do.
11. Free-Letty
Letty is working for the summer and possibly passing up the chance to captain for softball... unless we get 100 signatures to say that she should captain!
12. Levi For GameOp!
I am a capeable leader, i have been a captain of |iV| for a while now and many members agree i am a good captain. I want to be a GameOp for BattleField because i beleive that I can make our time playing in public servers just as good as playing a clan match. I will be very harsh on smacktards and players of a abusive nature. I will rid our world of Smacktards and the worser DC-tards.
13. Bring Back 'The Crystal Maze'!
In 1990, the United Kingdom was introduced to Channel 4's newest game show- 'The Crystal Maze'! The show was hosted by Richard O'Brien, who lead a team of six contestants, fronted by a team captain and a vice captain, around the maze. Richard O'Brien left the show after series four, however, making way for Ed Tudor-Pole.
The Crystal Maze tested the initiative of the team's six contestants, in 15 puzzling games, where the objective was to beat the clock and escape with a time crystal. The time crystals were worth 5 seconds of time in the Crystal Dome, where your goal was to collect as many gold tokens as you possibly could in the time achieved by the team through collecting 'Time Crystals', but any silver tokens collected were deducted from the total of gold, making it harder for the team to reach their goal of 100 gold tokens, to gain their much-deserved prize!
The Crystal Maze was sectioned off into four zones: 'Medieval', 'Aztec', 'Futuristic' and 'Industrial' (which later changed to 'Ocean' towards the end of Richard O'Brien's time as a Crystal Maze presenter). The team members took it in turns, decided by the team captain, to tackle the tasks set before them in the games, hopefully gaining possession of that all-important time crystal. If they failed to complete their task and escape in their allocated amount of time, however, they would be locked in, only to be released by a sacrificed crystal, otherwise they would be locked in for the entirety of the show. The team had a choice of four types of game to tackle: 'Skill', 'Physical', 'Mental' and 'Mystery'.
It was up to the team captain to choose the team member who was best suited to this task. The team's outfits were each a different colour, later having a 'Time Crystal' printed on the backs.
The Crystal Maze had its residents, other than the host. In Medieval, and probably the most famous of all, was 'Mumsy', who was Richard O'Brien's Mother. She was a fortune teller, who was the main part of a Mystery game, where she would ask the chosen contestant three questions, which required a lot of thought and figuring out.
One correct answer would win them the 'Time Crystal', which rose from a crystal ball. Richard's Aunt Sabrina, who was consequently played by the same actress, replaced the character of Mumsy in the third series. The Futuristic zone had its own character- the computer, which asked the team a question when they arrived.
How can such a successful show be buried in the TV archives?
