61. Halt new building in Estabrook 
It is our understanding that the Chesapeake Preservation Act has weakened the protection laws in regards to the wetlands and protective buffers in the City of Norfolk.
62. Virginia Landlord and Tenant Act, ยง 55-248.16 Article 3 - Tenant Obligations #6 and #7 Violation
We, the people, of Building 1201 at Culpeper House Apartments feel the residents in Apartment #111 have violated the Virginia Landlord and Tenant Act. We also feel that our neighborhood aren't safe as long as the residents in apartment #111 continue to live in building 1201. We request the residents of Apartment #111 vacate our building. 63. Fair Quality of Life Zoning
Santa Barbara has initiated strict set-back requirements for home owners. Requirements that restrict the use of sometimes up to 25% of one's property; for the sake of a obsure definition of 'Quality of Life'. Yet these requirements are only applied in the horizontal plane and not also in the vertical plane and over all building zones. For example, a home owner and developer can build vertically, next to single story building, which cut off all 'rights of privacy', 'light' and even 'air' from their neighbors.

If restrict vertical development if two or more story structure (house, condo or office building) affects their neighbors 'right of privacy', 'air' and 'light'. Right of privacy is defined as 'can the neighbor see right into the back yard of their neighbor'.
64. Citizens' control over residential Zoning
Residential and commercial building has been plagued with a problem. Corporations and the government are not consulting with the residents and citizens before building such things as Nuclear Power Plants, raw Sewage plants, and highways righ on the front door of our homes. This petition is for the approval of a law that would make it possible to allow the local residents of whatever is being built vote and give feedback to the building comittee on how they feel about the specific building.
65. Leave St Helens House for training Adults and put your registry office in the Old Police Building
It is beyond belief that the St Helens House buidings are under threat of change of use. The concept of helping people who are less able to work or disabled in any way was founded in Derby at this address and has a good reputation of success helping those who help themselves advance or ready themselves for re-introduction into the workforce in Derby.
This will be a disasterous loss if the changes proposed by my Council take place in April 2004 and it is also preposterous that those working or training there had no idea, until it was let slip during a radio Derby broadcast. This building is also steeped in historical value and I challenge them that it is illegal to change the use of a listed building after it has received a preservation order. I beg the people of Derby to sign my petition to save this wonderfull historical building in its present form and use.
66. Building Codes
This is a petition concerning the Building Codes and Restrictions set forth by Blue Water Oaks HomeOwner's Association.
Policy Page C-3 of the Blue Water Oaks HomeOwner's Association states that each portable building or mobile home brought into the addition must first have a photo submitted to the Association for approval. By moving in the mobile home on Mariner Court that appears to have been torn down once, it has and will continue to bring our property value down and our insurance rates up since most homeowner's insurance companies take note of the properties surrounding your home. Please sign this petition to have the mobile home removed.
67. Stop Wal-Mart from abandoning buildings and building larger Supercenters
This petition concerns customer care about issues of habitat conservation by Wal-Mart. We are not happy with the practices of Wal-Mart and will show our feelings, by sacrificing conveinence and boycotting Wal-Mart.

69. Improve the Countryside and Save It From Destruction
In Croft, there have been many plans to open it up and improve it but so far, all have been thwarted by people intent on keeping it what it is on the flimsy pretext of 'protecting the green belt'. The most recent plan is to re-open the station - a plan that would vastly improve the area. Why? Because they claim that it would involve building a car park to fit 5000 cars. How likely is it that any place that gets (at most) 350 cars a day would build a car park that would leave at least 4000 spaces empty every day? It is almost impossible! The objectors base their claim on environmental issues but I challenge that. If there was a station, there would be less cars on the road. Were there less cars, two things would happen; there would be less pollution and there would be less demand for new roads. By keeping the station shut these people are forcing more cars onto the roads. This means that new roads will have to be built as the existing ones cannot cope with the ammounts of traffic. Building new roads will take up even more green belt than the small space needed for a car park. The car park will not be an eyesore as it will surely be small - it cannot be any otherwise! Even if you do not care about a small village that you probably have not heard of, the environment affects everybody, and it is all of our duty to protect it in whatever way we can. The only way to stop the whole country from being covered in motorways and otherwise trashed is to open it up now - starting with the stations!
70. Support I-83 - Upgrade US 29 in VA.
This petition is for those who support Building the US 29 bypass around Charlottesville & upgrading US 29 into I-83 in VA. It's your turn to tell the Governor that you are tired of Enviromentalists fear mongers creating gridlock.

72. Stop the building work at TRC disrupting exams
My performance has been adversely affected due building work noise whilst sitting external examination in May/June 2001 inside the sports hall. I wish the Principal to write to all exam boards concerned highlighting the building work as a possible contributory factor to reduced performance. I also insist all building work be suspended while exams are in progress in the Sports Hall.
