1. Reinstatement of the Tydeman garden for exclusive use of students attending the Tydeman centre
The Tydeman centre had a garden reserved for SEN children which has been removed following a review of the main school's inclusion policy. This has been done without consultation with the client base at the Tydeman centre.
It is felt that the students of this centre are too vulnerable to be left with no refuge from the main school at breaktimes.
2. City of Ashland Ky. to consider expanding their public transportation hours into the evening
Those of us who depend upon the bus system for transportation would like to see expanded hours especially during special events such as Summer Motion. This would help with grocery shopping, attending events, taking evening classes at ACC and attending special events in the park.
3. Against proposed parking restrictions on Mossford Lane and Fullwell Ave
We are opposed to the above proposed restrictions for the main fact that 90% of the children attending Clore Tikva school come from outside the catchment area of the school, and by implementing these restrictions the problem of parking will only be moved to the area immediatley beyond Mossford Lane.
4. Jade attending SFSHS in 2006
January 28, 2006
Jade Paget is a student at South Fremantle Senior High School. She has been attending SFSHS since year 9.
As she enters year 12 her mother, Clare, is preventing her from attending school for unknown reasons.
5. Rights NOT to be taken away when attending parochial school
There is no history but i'd very much so like to make one. Why is it that in parochial schools all of my CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS are taken away but i still have to follow the laws and learn about the constitution? i really think it's unfair.
(please forgive my bad spelling)
6. Parent/citizen concern for students attending Jefferson Township Schools
We the parents of students attending our Jefferson Township Schools are concerned about the failure rates of our children/students. It appears that parents have voiced their concern an approximately (ongoing) 3-4 yrs. in reference to this matter and the board members have listened and stated they are not hearing enough complaints, nor have the principals of these buildings, and the previous superintendent's. This is false, and definitely not true. Some of us parent's have contacted the Superintendent and the previous Principals to no avail. We were assured improvement would be made and to date it has not, and now our children are also being harrassed by teachers.
If one teacher voices a complaint about a student or more students, then the other teachers that the students also attend classes with are gathered to meet and discuss negatively in a meeting with said child or children. THIS TRULY LOWERS THE SELF-ESTEEM OF OUR CHILDREN AND THEY DON'T WANT TO ATTEND THE CLASS OF SAID TEACHER'(S) NOT KNOWING WHAT TO EXPECT. "WE ARE TIRED AND WILL NO LONGER ACCEPT THIS BEHAVIOR TOWARD OUR CHILDREN." The teaching concept no longer has any regard to the title "TEACHER".
