1. Change the Brunei National Anthem to 'Travelin' Soldier by the Dixie Chicks
The glorious nation of Brunei would benefit from changing its anthem to Travelin' Soldier.
SGTC, we need you. We just toured the UK and sold the whole thing out. It was our first time over and it was unlike anything we have ever done. We love the UK so much and there was so much love for BOTDF over there in a place 4000 miles away from home.
Every magazine gave us love but Kerrang won't feature us. We are starting this petition for you to help us let Kerrang know that YOU, our family, want them to show us the love that you guys do.
Please help in signing and sharing this petition to get us in Kerrang. <3 SGTC
3. Keep the Canadian Anthem in Schools All Over Canada
This is about our National anthem. it is our culture that many men and women fight for and died for. it is not fair to step on something that we had played in our schools. this is a symbolic symbol that should not get removed.
our National Anthem is what gives Canadians hope and the feel of freedom. when love ones have their love ones over seas the national anthem gives them hope and its not fair to get rid of it.
4. Equal Pay for Canadian Women
Currently in Canada a woman makes $0.705 for every $1.00 a man makes. This needs to be addressed! We are currently ranked 25th in the world on the gender gap index. Do we want to be known for this?
Steven Harper recently tried to change the Canadian National anthem to be Gender Neutral. This is a lame response to a serious problem. I think it is insulting that Harper has concentrated on such a backward fruitless task. We need to make sure that he does something substantial in its place!
I think it is about time something real was done. The average pay for women in each and every company needs to be on par with the average pay for men of that same company. Also these companies need to be held responsible for this requirement. Any Companies found violating this law should be fined and a portion of the fine paid to each of the effected female employees. Age, ethnicity, and religious background need to be brought into play as well.
As well a regular audit of a company’s payroll should be made to ensure that a company is being compliant. Possibly done once every 2 or 3 years for each company.

5. Don't change OUR national anthem
On March 3rd 2010 during The Throne Speech,it was said that there is a concern about the gender inequality of Canada’s National Anthem. Which leaves Parliament to assess if a more gender-neutral version should be considered.
6. Keep the Canadian National Anthem the Same
Help keep our national anthem the same. There is talk about changing the Canadian national anthem to be "gender neutral". The Conservative government wants to change the line "in all our son's command" to something more inclusive, in honour of the Vancouver Olympics.
I understand the desire to promote equality and woman's rights, but this is our national anthem! Do we want our national anthem to be up for review every time someone makes a complaint? I personally want to see some things kept the same. This is a symbol of our country and our heritage, it should not be up for change ever! I want to see our anthem protected against meddlers. I do not with to offend anyone who find our lyrics offensive, however I do not want to wake up one morning to find that I no longer recognise our national anthem. I want to see the changes stopped here and now.
It is not that I have anything against gender equality, I just do not want to see the floodgates opened on this issue. If we change one line in our national anthem, where will it stop? Take out god for the atheists? Take out native for all those that might find that word offensive? Maybe even take out Canada for all those who have immigrated here. Where would it end? I do not want to find out, as I’m sure many of you do not want to either. Our national anthem may not be perfect, but I for one like it the way it is!

7. "I Am Australian" to Replace "Advance Australia Fair" as Anthem
The official version of Australia's current national anthem, "Advance Australia Fair", is:
-Disjointed from a musical perspective.
-Embarrassing from an international political perspective.
-Absurd from an Indigenous Australian perspective.
-Dull and uninviting from an emotional perspective.
-Awkward from a lyrical perspective.
-Dated and missing verses from an historical perspective.
-Divisive from a cultural perspective.
-Girt by a sea of mediocrity from the ALP's minister and member for Rankin Craig Emerson's perspective.
-Boring from retired National's senator Sandy Macdonald's perspective.
-Worth considering a replacement for from the Liberal's member for Fisher Peter Slipper's perspective.
Adding to all this, most Australians know neither the words nor what they mean!
Numerous other patriotic songs would be worthy of replacing "Advance Australia Fair". However many of these songs lack the rhythmic emotion of a high-quality national anthem. Others contain awkward lyrics or words not known by most Australians. The song "I Still Call Australia Home" is well known (having been promoted around the world by a certain business) but it speaks about too many other countries to be Australia's national anthem. Australia's national anthem should be about Australia- not other countries!
Hence, "I Am Australian" (lyrics at end) by Bruce Woodley should be the national anthem of Australia. The following reasons amongst many others support this proposal:
1) It unites Australians.
2) It is well known to Australians.
3) Its meaning is clear and its words understandable.
4) It celebrates Australians from all walks of life.
5) It respects Indigenous Australians and other cultures.
6) The words are easy to learn.
7) It celebrates iconic Australians.
8) It is passionately patriotic yet inclusive of naturalised Australians.
9) It welcomes new Australians (already being in use at citizenship ceremonies).
10) It is already sung by many on national holidays such as Australia Day.
11) It is already sung at major sporting events as a sign of what it is to be Australian.
12) It recognises the contributions of both men and women in forging the identity of the nation.
The lyrics are as follows:
VERSE 1:
I came from the dream time
From the dusty red soil plains
I am the ancient heart
The keeper of the flame
I stood upon the rocky shore
I watched the tall ships come
For forty thousand years I'd been
The first Australian
CHORUS:
We are one but we are many
And from all the lands on earth we come
We share a dream and sing with one voice
I am - You are - We are Australian
VERSE 2
I came upon the prison ship
Bowed down by iron chains
I cleared the land, endured the lash
And waited for the rains
I'm a settler; I'm a farmer's wife
On a dry and barren run
A convict then free man
I became Australian
VERSE 3
I'm the daughter of a digger
Who sought the mother lode
The girl became a woman
On a long and dusty road
I'm a child of the depression
I saw the good times come
I'm a bushy
I'm a battler
I am Australian
{Repeat CHORUS}
VERSE 4
I'm a teller of stories
I'm a singer of songs
I am Albert Namatjira
And I paint the ghostly gums
I'm Clancy on his horse
I'm Ned Kelly on the run
I'm the one who waltzed Matilda
I am Australian
VERSE 5
I'm the hot wind from the desert
I'm the black soil of the plains
I'm the mountains and the valleys
I'm the drought and flooding rains
I am the Rock, I am the Sky
The Rivers when they run
The Spirit of This Great Land
I am Australian
{Notes on the lyrics:
1) Alternatively, the chorus may be sung between each verse.
2) The last verse has been slightly adjusted by capitalising certain words. As the "Rock" refers to Uluru and "This Great Land" refers to Australia it is appropriate to capitalise these words. In the cases of the other words, this may be interpreted as either a poetic personification or a connection to certain characters of the dreaming of Indigenous Australians.
3) The term "dream time" has been retained due to the respect for ancient ways shown in the first verse. Should Indigenous Elders regard it as offensive, it may be altered to "dreaming".}
8. New Australian National Anthem
Let's face it, who knows the Australian National Anthem. Not the first verse, because that’s a no brainer but the rest of it?
To be honest, I don’t and when it goes past that first verse (as it rarely does) I stand there shrugging my shoulders. Then it occurred to me, let's change it.
Change it to something people know and are proud to sing and then across the radio came Land Down Under by Men At Work. It doesn’t get much more Australian than that! Not only is it a fantastic song but any true blue Aussie knows the words! Here are the lyrics for you to consider.
Land Down Under - Men At Work
Travelling in a fried-out combie
On a hippie trail, head full of zombie
I met a strange lady, she made me nervous
She took me in and gave me breakfast
And she said,
"Do you come from a land down under?
Where women glow and men plunder?
Can't you hear, can't you hear the thunder?
You better run, you better take cover."
Buying bread from a man in Brussels
He was six foot four and full of muscles
I said, "Do you speak-a my language?"
He just smiled and gave me a vegemite sandwich
And he said,
"I come from a land down under
Where beer does flow and men chunder
Can't you hear, can't you hear the thunder?
You better run, you better take cover."
Lying in a den in Bombay
With a slack jaw, and not much to say
I said to the man, "Are you trying to tempt me
Because I come from the land of plenty?"
And he said,
"Oh! Do you come from a land down under? (oh yeah yeah)
Where women glow and men plunder?
Can't you hear, can't you hear the thunder?
You better run, you better take cover."
Please support me in this and we can change our National Anthem to something that truly represents Australia!

11. IN GOD WE TRUST
We Christians need to stop the removing of GOD from our country. It is pretty simple. We outnumber them. We are in the billions. The majority rules and we are the majority.
We need to fight for GOD. This country was created with GOD. We have In GOD we TRUST on our money, we sing the national anthem at our games, we have GOD in our schools and that is the way it needs to stay. The way it has been since the beginning.
We are meek usually, now its time to fight for GOD. Jesus has already been crucified. Let's not let it happen again.

13. Amend the US National Anthem
April 27, 2005
The United States currently incarcerates more people than any other nation on the planet. One in thirty-two people in America has served time in prison. Yet, they continue to draft and enact legislation which can only be called "Vindictive Justice" and enables the judicial system to incarcerate even more of the citizens for even longer terms (eg., H.R. 1528 and Mandatory Minimums).
One of the last "advanced" civilizations to keep and practice the death-penalty, I think it's high time that they advertise their true colors more appropriately by amending the National Anthem to reflect the reality of the nation:
The current anthem contains the phrase: "Land of the free". This should be changed to "Land of the imprisoned".
This more approppraitely reflects the reality of the land.
