We support the Westgate project in Aldershot

Background (Preamble):
Rushmoor Borough Council has agreed to pursue a planning application for a 78,000 sq ft supermarket at Westgate in order to fund a cinema development on the site after their residential developer pulled out. The owners of the galleries are petitioning against this development.
If they get their way then the much anticipated regeneration of Aldershot is over... Years ago Aldershot had several cinemas and an ice rink. These days we all have to drive our kids out of town for these things.
Morrisons will be good competition for Tesco. The Galleries is empty and has been for quite some time so suggesting Westgate will be to blame is ridiculous.
