Background (Preamble):
As most of you now know, as of 2nd Jan 2012 Translink have increased public transport prices by a whopping 15%! ...not so happy new year. The saying 'you get what you pay for' has obviously not been justified by the rise in ticket prices.
THE latest hike in public transport costs will make southeast Queensland's bus, train and ferry fares among the most expensive in the world.
These days we are all about saving money and are told to limit driving to help with C02 emissions, yet the continuous price increases are steering us to do just that!
Lower prices = less cars on the road = a healthier environment
