Background (Preamble):
On the 13th January 09 eleven Tottenham fans were charged with Racist and Homophobic abuse towards Sol Campbell from the Tottenham Portsmouth game 28th September 08.
These fan were in-fact chanting a Ledley King chant which is often heard at White Hart Lane it has no Racist or Homophobic comments in it and was not aimed at Sol Campbell.
These fans were just bantering at football games which has been happening for many years and will happen for many more providing these fan's are cleared or fans will be to scared to even speak at a game for fear of being arrested.
We will be presenting this petition in court on the 20th January at Portsmuth Magistrates when eleven (if the press is right about this number, they have been wrong with many other facts of this case) of the 16 appear before the judge including three minors. There were a few thousand fans Tottenham fans at the game that day and Hampshire police some how choose only sixteen.

We, the undersigned, all think that to charge football fans for football banter which was neither Racist or Homophobic is inappropriate and we all want their names to be cleared.
