The white horse is the ancient and natural symbol of the county of Wiltshire, symbolising land and people, and given to the people of Wiltshire by the landscape itself.
It belongs to no-one but the public and its use should remain forever uninhibited.

We, the undersigned, recognise the white horse on a green field as the true flag of Wiltshire.
We support the adoption of the White Horse flag as the flag of the county of Wiltshire; to be recognised as such by the people, organizations and authorities of the county, as well as the UK Flag Institute, and to remain forever in the public domain - free to be used by the people of Wiltshire however they see fit.
