Background (Preamble):
Basant thought to be a festival celebrating the arrival of Spring, although some trace its background as a Hindu celebration. It is a celebration day of Lahore in Pakistan.
Now basant is not a festival but becomes a killing. There have been hundreds of people killed or injured each year falling off rooftops and being cut by kite strings. It also become a cause of a big loss of WAPDA by cutting the electric wires. Life is more important then entertainment.

Petition:
We appeal to the Government of Pakistan to please take serious action against people who fly kites with metallic strings which have become the cause of outrageous killing of innocent people.
