Too many times referees are pressured into booking players by players waving imaginary yellow and red cards in an effort to have players booked or sent off in an effort to gain an unfair advantage.
It is up to the referee to decide whether an offence justifies a booking or sending off without being pressured.

The Football Association should make it a mandatory bookable offence for players to wave imaginary yellow or red cards in an effort to have other players sanctioned in an effort to gain an unfair advantage.
The offence should be classified as "ungentlemanly conduct" and receive a mandatory yellow card.
