Petition Background (Preamble):
Chippenham skatepark was shut on Monday 26th of June 2002 just before the summer holidays.
Hopes that the skatepark was going to be relocated soon disappeared as the council gave up on the issue and have avoided it ever since, forcing us to use the streets where we are a danger to ourselves and others.

Petition:
We the undersigned, support the development of a free public skatepark within our city.
We recognize the need for and benefits of a free public skatepark and believe the Town should at the very least provide suitable land, build and maintain the skatepark just as it would a basketball court, football pitch or other public general-use area.
