School Dress Code Reform for Shelby County

We, the undersigned, ask for a less subjective dress code, one that distinctly defines "what is reasonable" and what is "contingent upon the discretion of the principal." We ask for more reasonable punishments.

In School Suspension, the same punishments administered for obscene language and truancy violations is far too extreme a punishment for two dress code violations. We ask for detentions and notices sent home far before the use of suspension with unexcused absences.
