We just wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone that signed this petition. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough to save Salvo Careline. In fact, the line was closed on 30th June 2010 as funding from DCP was finally pulled.

Background (Preamble):
The Salvo Careline opened 23 years ago in Perth. It was designed to provide emergency accommodation, support, referrals, listening ear and counselling to the people of WA. SCL deals in many issues including domestic and family violence; homelessness; drug and alcohol issues; gender and sexuality issues; mental health; sexual assualt; depression and suicide prevention.
SCL will be closing in September 2010 due to lack of funding and The Salvation Army not knowing how to save it.
