Target: Federal Government
Region: Australia
Background (Preamble):
In November of 2007 my 4 year old son Aston was killed after a car accident involving a family member. In 2006 10 Children in NSW alone fell to the same fate with 80% of these involving a family member at the wheel. Although Aston's accident would not have been prevented by a reversing camera, It will save other children.

The federal Government last looked into this 10 years ago when the technology was still costly, however you can now have a reversing camera fitted for under $300.

My mission is to save families the same grief and suffering that I am going through and will continue to go through for the rest of my life. Please lend your support to this petition and help me to help save our children.
Petition:
We, the undersigned, call on the Australian government, and car manufactures and importers, to fit reversing cameras to all cars sold in Australia by writing legislation to make them mandatory.
