Remove religion from courtrooms
Published by David on Oct 13, 2011
Target: Supreme Court
Region: United States of America
Background (Preamble):
The first Amendment in the Constitution declares a separation of church and state. That should be all that is needed.
Petition:
I believe that courtrooms in our great country should have all aspects of religion removed from them. It is unconstitutional.
The first Amendment of our Constitution declares a separation of church and state, so why are people sworn in with a bible and a quote about God?
Why are there pictures of the ten commandments?
These things need to change.
