Background (Preamble):
The junction we wish to place a pedestrian crosssing on is on Clarendon Road, outside the Library pub and is crossed by pedestrians at all hours of the day. It is situated next to the University of Leeds.
In May 2008 a 24 year old man was killed on Clarendon Road when walking across the street in a hit-and-run accident. Please help to prevent other tragedies like this from happening and another person’s friends and family being devastated from a life being cut short on the road.
I really can’t express enough how important this petition is.
