NETWORK RAIL TREE FELLING ENVIRONMENTAL SCANDAL
Petition published by BNP THURROCK on Jul 09, 2007
Target: Thurrock Council
Region: United Kingdom
Petition Background (Preamble):
Network Rail is set to press ahead with their plans to fell trees alongside the railway line adjoining the Homesteads estate in Corringham as well as other parts of Great Britain.
These trees are there to serve as a buffer to prevent nearby residents from suffering noise pollution.
A lot of wildlife that inhabit these trees will also be affected by the actions of Network Rail and the lack
of interest shown by local councilors.
We believe that Thurrock Council should foot the bill to maintain the trees as they have the money available. We believe local people must come first.

We, the undersigned, call upon Thurrock Council to maintain the trees along the track adjacent to the homes affected.
