Target: The Town of New Tecumseth, MP of Simcoe-Gray

Background (Preamble):
On July 13, 2011, my 4 year old daughter was found trying to cross a busy road in downtown Alliston alone after being left behind in an arena by the summer day camp she was enrolled in. The camp was run by the Town of New Tecumseth.
After investigating the events of that day I discovered that there are no provincial or federal regulations for camps running less than 10 weeks in length.
In order to prevent another child being traumatized in this way please show your support in demanding the Town of New Tecumseth to join the Ontario Camp Association to help keep our children safe.
The OCA is a voluntary, non-profit organization that draws its membership from camps, individuals and like-minded organizations and agencies, all devoted to maintaining high standards for organized camping, and to sharing information and ideas that maintain these standards.
