So we have been working on collecting these handwritten signatures. Background (Preamble):
Lyme Disease mimics many illnesses and must be a clinical diagnosis. It is thought by many that Lyme Disease does not exist in Alberta and some are having to travel out-of-country for treatment with antibiotics.
We must increase research funding to identify areas of higher risk for infection with Lyme which will in turn assist physicians in awareness of the illness.

Petition:
We, the undersigned, call on The Government of Canada, Health Canada, The Government of Alberta and Alberta Health services to investigate the epidemiology of ticks in Alberta that are infected with Lyme Disease (Borrelia burgdorferi).
We must initiate a program where all types of ticks are collected, and tested for Lyme borreliosis, Bartonellosis, Babesiosis, Ehrlichia and other co-infections involving ticks.
We, the undersigned would like Lyme Disease a Clinical Diagnosis, and want a full investigation of our 2 tiered testing for Lyme Disease including the Elisa and the Western Blot. We would like patients to be treated based on Clinical Symptoms, not on lab reports.
We also want our treatment guidelines re addressed and clinical studies done on proper treatment of Lyme Disease and co-infections.
